Grass and dirt-stained soles left marks on the pristine entrance floor. Kwon Jiho offered to clean it himself, but Do Yeonjae stopped him, telling him not to make a fuss.

As they stepped into the living room, the wide-open view refreshed their eyes. The horizon touching the sky felt mystical. Kwon Jiho, frozen in place, couldn’t tear his gaze from the scenery outside the window. From the moment he saw the sea, his lips, parted in awe, let out another gasp of admiration.

“Not a kid,” Do Yeonjae muttered, clicking his tongue, but then paused. He is a kid, isn’t he? Kwon Jiho’s age confirmed it. Do Yeonjae, who had been quietly observing Kwon Jiho’s entranced expression, stepped closer and drew his attention.

“Wash up.”

“Huh? Oh… right. But, Director, my clothes are wet. I went into the water earlier…”

Both the thin short-sleeved knit and beige slacks he wore were soaked. Kwon Jiho, holding the hem of his shirt with a makeshift pincer grip and flapping it, bit his lip with an awkward expression.

“Take them off and come out.”

“…”

“What?”

Kwon Jiho, flustered as if he’d heard something scandalous, asked again. Only then did Do Yeonjae flash a playful smile. Tapping Kwon Jiho’s cheeks, which seemed to flush again as the cool indoor air lost its effect, he spoke.

“Mr. Kwon Jiho is so clueless he can’t even tell when I’m joking. Pick something suitable from the dressing room and come out.”

Following Do Yeonjae’s pointing finger toward the bedroom, Kwon Jiho moved. His careful steps, lifting his heels to avoid leaving more dirt, were both amusing and pitiful. Maybe it was because he’d seen him like this at the academy. Shaking his head as if something felt off, Do Yeonjae watched the seemingly pathetic Kwon Jiho.

The living room felt oddly empty after Kwon Jiho went to shower. Do Yeonjae headed to the kitchen, grabbed a beer from the fridge, and downed it. Staring at the view Kwon Jiho had been captivated by, he finished another can.

By then, Kwon Jiho emerged from the shower, wearing a loose-fitting t-shirt and shorts. The oversized clothes suited him surprisingly well.

“Come here.”

Usually, he was slow to wash, frustrating others, but today he was quick.

“Why didn’t you dry off?”

“It’s hot. I thought it’d dry on its own.”

Even in the heat, Kwon Jiho never washed with cold water, so everywhere he touched felt warm.

“You drank beer?”

“Want one, Mr. Kwon Jiho?”

“…I don’t really drink, but…”

Kwon Jiho, hesitantly taking the can Do Yeonjae offered, struggled to open it before setting it down. The tips of his round, fleshy fingers were already red.

“Mr. Kwon Jiho, you’re really high-maintenance.”

“…Sorry.”

At his dejected tone, Do Yeonjae chuckled, opened the can, and handed it over. Leaning against the island counter, they silently drank while gazing at the sea ahead.

Half a can was enough to make Kwon Jiho’s head fuzzy. Maybe it was the emotional highs and lows of the day, but the buzz hit faster than usual.

“Director.”

His low voice called out to Do Yeonjae. Kwon Jiho’s head, which had been facing forward, slowly turned to the side. His glossy eyes, not crying but somehow wet, stared intently at Do Yeonjae.

“What?”

“…You’re with me because I’m a Beta, right?”

“Why’s that suddenly on your mind?”

“If I were an Omega… would you still have helped me?”

Do Yeonjae’s eyes narrowed slightly at the trailing question. He crushed the empty beer can with a crunch.

“An Omega Kwon Jiho? Never thought about it. What would it have been like?”

“…”

“There are plenty of Omegas as pretty as you. Would I have bothered with you? No matter how pretty, I don’t need an Omega.”

Do Yeonjae reached out, grabbed Kwon Jiho’s chin, and pulled him closer.

“If Kwon Jiho were an Omega, I probably wouldn’t care if you sold a kidney or drowned in debt.”

“Why… is being a Beta better?”

“It’s not that Betas are better. It’s that I liked Mr. Kwon Jiho, a Beta struggling with that level of debt. Plus… you’re pretty, and no matter how much I screw you, you won’t get pregnant.”

Do Yeonjae, as if appraising him, listed why he liked Beta Kwon Jiho, his crude words making Kwon Jiho’s face flush.

“You’re poor enough to be easily controlled, and your desperation for money always makes you the needier one. I like that. I like that I was your first, and how you act like it’s your first every time.”

“…”

“That makes you easy to keep at a low price.”

Listening to Do Yeonjae, Kwon Jiho realized once again that he was seen as little more than an obedient pet. He wasn’t unaware, but knowing it in his head and hearing it directly were worlds apart. His lips, usually quick to curve, froze.

“Is that answer enough?”

Kwon Jiho nodded at Do Yeonjae’s languid tone and relaxed expression. It was enough. It was reason enough to keep hiding that his status had changed.

“But why’s that suddenly on your mind?”

“…Because you said I’m pretty, I thought…”

His innocent mumble, eyes glistening as if he’d cry if pressed harder, made Do Yeonjae laugh with amusement.

“Thinking I like you because I call you pretty is like loving a cute dog or cat. It’s different from liking a person.”

“…”

“Did you think I was fond of you because I kept calling you pretty?”

Despite the harsh words, the gentle question made Kwon Jiho shake his head slightly. What was close to affection? Pity came to mind, but Do Yeonjae’s eyes held no such emotion.

“Shall we check if you understood?”

“…”

“Time to do something pretty.”

A smile, fitting his refined face, appeared. Kwon Jiho, unable to look away from those softly curved lips, slowly lowered himself. He hadn’t been to the gynecologist yet, nor had he bought contraceptives. Would it be okay? Then again, getting pregnant from one time was as absurd as manifesting as an Omega.

Kneeling on the floor, Kwon Jiho took a short breath and raised his hands. His fingers fumbled with the belt, always a challenge, before his forehead rested against Do Yeonjae’s firm thigh. He felt like he might cry.

“Need help?”

“…The belt… it’s stuck.”

Do Yeonjae gently patted his round head at the whiny complaint. Easily unbuckling the belt, he watched as Kwon Jiho’s small hands moved again. The zipper came down smoothly. Pulling down the underwear, Kwon Jiho revealed the half-erect member and opened his mouth.

It wasn’t an artificial fragrance but a fresh scent. Different from the musky smell between Do Yeonjae’s legs. Was this his pheromone? Just breathing it in felt like swallowing something scalding. It slowly burned from his throat, pooling warmly in his stomach.

Do Yeonjae laughed at Kwon Jiho’s almost solemn expression. Those flushed, plump lips parted and took in the tip. As always, Kwon Jiho stuck out his small tongue, licking the pooled fluids like candy, clumsily gripping and shaking the shaft.

Why hasn’t he improved? With practice, he should’ve gotten better. Even as Do Yeonjae teased his soft earlobe, the awkward oral continued, though it still diligently aroused him.

“Open wider.”

“Mmph, ugh, mm…”

The small lips stretched further. Kwon Jiho, swallowing the thick flesh, pursed his lips, making wet sounds as he rolled his tongue. Despite the clumsy fellatio, Do Yeonjae, now fully aroused, grabbed the back of his head and pulled him closer.

“Ugh…! Hng, gah…”

“Your teeth are touching.”

The member, scraping the roof of his mouth, hit the back of his throat. Kwon Jiho’s back arched as he gagged. Unswallowed saliva mixed with sticky fluids, seeping past his lips. His face flushed red, and his eyes welled up. As Do Yeonjae thrust lightly, Kwon Jiho’s light body rocked back with the rhythm.

Normally, Do Yeonjae would’ve pulled back by now, but not today. He kept pressing against his throat. Kwon Jiho felt like he’d already taken in as much as he could. He couldn’t breathe. Even gasping through his nose felt suffocating. His trembling hands gripped Do Yeonjae’s thighs, and his body slumped.

“Keep your back straight, Kwon Jiho.”

“Hng, mm… sob…”

Slurping, smacking sounds filled the air. His stuffed nose made breathing even harder. The relentless member blocked his throat, and his overstretched lips had no room to spare. His mind grew hazy from lack of oxygen.

As the strength in his hands, clinging to Do Yeonjae’s legs, gave out and fell, the member filling his mouth slid out with a wet pop.
