Correction Chapter 33

Author: nicotine

Jungmin didn’t want to eat anything, but he couldn’t ignore the offered kindness. Or rather, if it weren’t for this place, he would have refused….

“Thank you.”

As Jungmin accepted the offered champagne, Choi Yeonwoo, as if emboldened, gracefully sat next to him and released pheromones of affection towards him.

He appealed to Jungmin, chattering like a small bird, but it was just noise to Jungmin. Just an extra talking to him.

Then, suddenly aware of a gaze from somewhere, he snapped to attention and looked around.

“What’s wrong?”

“Ah, nothing.”

The gaze disappeared. Was it his imagination?

Sigh, the remaining time was… a little over 10 minutes. He wished it would pass quickly.

“Actually… I was really curious about you, Mr. Shin Jungmin.”

A clear expression of interest.

Good family background, decent looks, and above all, an omega. Many alphas would be after him, even if he didn’t know it.

Ah, was that it? Jungmin thought that the gaze he had felt just now might have been one of envy.

“What about Mr. Jungmin?”

“Yes?”

“Haven’t you heard anything about me?”

“I’ve heard a lot about Yeonwoo publicly.”

“So you’ve heard, but you weren’t curious.”

“I apologize.”

“No, it’s alright. There’s no need to apologize. Actually, I’m one of the candidates for your fiancé, Jungmin.”

Jungmin was startled by those words and looked at him. Why hadn’t he considered that possibility?

“That’s why I was curious about you, Mr. Jungmin.”

“I apologize. I haven’t heard anything from my family.”

“Yes, I understand. Nothing has been decided yet, and I’m just one of the candidates. But I hope I win. I like your face, Mr. Jungmin.”

The omega subtly released his pheromones, expressing his affection for Jungmin. Jungmin wanted to push him away, but even his short experience in society taught him he shouldn’t do that now. He didn’t readily accept the pheromones, but he didn’t reject them either.

Perhaps satisfied with that alone, Choi Yeonwoo smiled faintly and looked at his watch.

“Five minutes… I should get going now. It was nice meeting you.”

Jungmin also glanced at his watch and thought it was about time to leave, so he stood up to say goodbye, when…

“Oh.”

Choi Yeonwoo bumped into the wine glass in Jungmin’s hand. Red wine splashed onto Jungmin’s white shirt.

“What should we do? I’m so sorry.”

As Choi Yeonwoo fidgeted, about to call his attendant, Jungmin calmly stood up and said it was alright.

“I can just wash it off in the restroom.”

He was almost grateful to Choi Yeonwoo. He didn’t want to go home in these clothes, and he thought he could use this as an excuse to change.

“I’ll go with you.”

“No, it’s okay. I can do it myself. Don’t worry. See you.”

“But…”

Choi Yeonwoo looked anxious, worried that Jungmin might be uncomfortable, but Jungmin ignored him and left the hall. He felt people’s gazes, but he didn’t care and searched for the room where he had changed earlier.

“Where was it?”

He could go home like this, but he really didn’t want to wear the clothes Kim Joohwan had given him. Feeling the wet shirt clinging to his skin, Jungmin clicked his tongue and went into a nearby restroom. He needed to take off his shirt at least.

Seeing his reflection in the mirror, Jungmin gasped. He thought only his shirt was wet, but his jacket and pants were also a mess.

He thought it was a bit much, but the vivid red stain that covered his top was so stark, it looked like he’d been stabbed. He definitely needed to change. He should have drunk some of the wine. He was just holding it….

Jungmin first loosened his tie and took off his jacket. Now that it was off, his shirt, having lost its original color, looked like it had always been a dark crimson. Moreover, it clung to his body, making him extremely uncomfortable. The stain was visible even with his jacket buttoned, and he seriously thought this was a big problem.

Just as he was about to ask someone where the room was, he caught sight of Joohwan behind him in the mirror and was inwardly startled.

However, pretending to be unfazed, Jungmin looked at Joohwan.

“What?”

Since when had he been there? More importantly, why did he follow him in here?

“I thought the host shouldn’t just ignore a guest in trouble, so I brought this.”

Joohwan held out a freshly ironed shirt.

It was chilling in a way. To grasp the whole situation in such a short time and bring this as if he had been waiting… didn’t that mean Kim Joohwan, or someone, had been watching him the whole time?

“Take it.”

He didn’t want to take it.

“It’s fine. It’s about time for me to leave anyway. I’ll just wear my own clothes and go.”

“You’re going back to the room dressed like that?”

“What’s wrong with that?”

At Jungmin’s words, Kim Joohwan furrowed his brow for a moment before offering the shirt to Jungmin again.

“It doesn’t matter if you throw this away again. But please wear this until you get back to the room.”

He didn’t seem to want to give up, and Jungmin didn’t want to start a pointless argument. Above all, he didn’t want to talk to Kim Joohwan anymore, so he took the shirt and quickly took off the one he was wearing.

He was conscious of Joohwan watching him without leaving, but they were both alphas, so what did it matter? It would be stranger to hesitate.

“Sunbae, are you working out?”

Joohwan asked out of the blue as Jungmin buttoned his shirt. Jungmin nodded, focusing on buttoning his shirt without looking at him.

“I’m getting personal training these days. I felt like my stamina had dropped a bit.”

“I see. You’ve put on some muscle. Looks good.”

“Are you being sarcastic?”

“I mean it’s impressive. It’s a relief. It seems like you’re living well as an ‘alpha,’ sunbae.”

“What?”

“Ah, did I make a slip of the tongue?”

“Slip of the tongue or whatever, what do you mean by that?”

“Just—well, that’s it. Since you keep following Shinwoo sunbae around, I wondered if you were still dreaming of being an omega.”

Jungmin suppressed the urge to tear off the shirt he had just received and threw his wet shirt into the trash can. He threw it so hard the trash can rattled, and Joohwan laughed as if amused.

“I don’t know why I have to listen to this from you. Why don’t you just mind your own business?”

He spoke curtly, brushing past Joohwan. And just before he could make his final escape, Joohwan grabbed his arm.

“What? Let go.”

“I didn’t mean to upset you, sunbae.”

“Upset? Why would I be upset? Who are you to me?”

Jungmin showed Joohwan his beeping watch.

“One hour. It’s already over. Can I go now?”

As Jungmin spoke with a genuinely refreshing smile, Kim Joohwan smiled slightly and released his grip on Jungmin’s arm.

“You’ve worked hard enduring for an hour. Let’s go. I’ll tell you where the room is.”

“You don’t have to escort me, Mr. Birthday Boy. Just send an attendant.”

“I’m a bit tired too. I want to rest under the pretense of escorting you, sunbae.”

Was he suggesting they use each other? Indeed, earlier, people hadn’t seemed willing to leave Kim Joohwan’s side. Many people were crowding around him, and he was skillfully dealing with each one with a fawning expression. He was barely twenty years old, yet he had already taken control of the numerous people gathered here. Perfectly, to the point where Jungmin couldn’t feel any sense of inferiority.

Alright. He hadn’t wanted it, but it was just a gift of clothes, he could grant him that much favor. He would use him and be used in return. Jungmin nodded, and Kim Joohwan turned and walked ahead, Jungmin following behind. He had to follow since he didn’t know the way.

So, he followed without a thought. Relaxed footsteps. The promised hour had long passed, and they were moving further away from the noisy hall.

He followed Kim Joohwan into the elevator, and after walking in darkness for a while, Jungmin felt something was off. Did they go this deep inside?

“Kim Joohwan, where are you going?”

He didn’t answer. He simply stopped in front of a door much larger than the room he had seen before. And, looking at Jungmin, he slowly opened the door.

As the door opened, Jungmin’s body froze at the scent of lust wafting out. Joohwan gently pushed Jungmin from behind, ushering him inside.

He heard the door slam shut with a bang, but Jungmin was speechless at the sight of the violet lighting that unfolded before him.

It was an orgy.

An orgy party was in full swing.
