I’m Trying to End This Possession Chapter 267
Slap! Slap!
“You b*stard! Son of a b*tch, piece of trash!”
He was so tall that she couldn’t reach his hair. So instead, Dana wildly smacked his chest, shoulders, and back over and over.
“Aack. Ah. Ugh. Uurgh.”
Honestly, he didn’t look like he was hurting at all. But simply attacking him filled Dana with a sadistic thrill so intense it made her shiver down her spine.
“Ah, Honey, please, stop!”
I’m hitting Demian! The b*stard who controlled me for ten years, who was basically my master!
“Wa-Wait! Aah, Honey. Just a moment.”
“Shut up! Don’t call me honey!”
“Ah, ack. Stop. Ack.”
“Die, you b*stard, devil!”
“But, aah, Honey, ack.” Demian’s face turned red and his eyes filled with tears. “Honey…”
Dana’s hand froze. What is this? Something was wrong. When had his eyes become so unfocused? On top of that, tears streamed down his blushing face. Something… was definitely strange.
“Sob, I’m sorry.”
“…”
“I’m sorry. Sob, hic.”
“…”
No way. No, that couldn’t be. Then again, if it’s this pervert, maybe he… With a dreadful feeling, Dana glanced downward before immediately squeezing her eyes shut. Crazy b*stard.
“I told you to stop…” Demian muttered in a voice soaked with humiliation. “I tried to endure, but it’s just been so long since I felt your touch.” Even as he spoke, his face remained lost in the lingering afterglow of overwhelming pleasure. “My Honey is so weak. Honestly, hitting me like that doesn’t hurt at all. It feels more like foreplay, so I—”
“Shut up.”
Perhaps the shock was too much. All her strength vanished in an instant. Having completely lost her fighting spirit, Dana staggered over to the sofa and collapsed onto it.
Demian tried to sit beside her.
“Get lost!” Dana almost slapped him again, but stopped himself. This guy gets off just from touching me. Glaring at him as though she wanted to kill him, she pointed at the floor. “Someone like you doesn’t deserve to sit on the sofa. Kneel on the floor.”
“Un-Understood.” With all the spirit drained out of him, Demian knelt beside her.
Only then did Dana examine him suspiciously. She had lost control and beaten him on instinct, but… Is this guy really Demian? “You, are you really Demian Windsor?”
Still kneeling, Demian cautiously watched her expression. “To be precise… yes, but… also no.”
What kind of bullshit is that?
“I am… a thought-form created from the information, knowledge, desires, and emotions that I left behind while I was alive.”
A chill instantly ran down her spine. A thought-form? Something similar to what Viego had implanted in my mind? “Is that all?”
“I’ve also inherited some physical abilities…”
He inherited physical abilities too? Then this thing was an even more sophisticated higher existence than what she herself had experienced.
Has the Daiana Church really succeeded in experiments like this? Creating a thought-form almost identical to a soul and implanting it into the body of a living person?
“So… you actually succeeded in taking over someone else’s body?”
“No. I didn’t.” Demian sighed as though he genuinely regretted it. “Adma Rolland fell down the stairs a few weeks ago and suffered a severe head injury. At that point, his soul had already left his body, leaving only the body itself alive.”
“You mean he’s brain-dead?”
“Yes. That’s why I, as a thought-form, can enter and control this ownerless body.”
“…”
“Only a thought-form can occupy it like this. A soul can’t remain inside another person’s body for long. But thought-forms like me have less volume and mass than souls…”
Dana narrowed her eyes. She had no interest in his experimental explanations. “If you’re a thought-form extracted from Demian, then that means Demian underwent the Daiana Church’s experiments while he was alive.”
“Yes.”
“Liar.” Dana spoke firmly. “Demian was a coward. There’s no way he’d have the guts to volunteer for an experiment.”
“Ho-Honey. I wasn’t that much of a coward.”
“No. You were a coward.”
There was no way someone like him would willingly become a test subject for dangerous biological experiments. He was the type who only accepted the benefits of experimentation. And they couldn’t have forced him either. Demian had been an utterly pathetic coward, but he was never an easy man to control. Even Carl Windsor needed to set a trap just to kill him.
“Still, I found the courage and underwent it.”
“Why?”
“Because I wanted to apologize to you.” Demian spoke with a solemn expression. “You prophesied to me long ago, back when you were in Danayu’s… that child’s body. You told me I would die young.”
“…”
“And you told me that you had come from the future, that you’d live as Danae Windsor later.” With a tense face, Demian carefully enunciated every syllable. “I forced you to stay, keeping you from returning to your own time… but I was always afraid. Afraid that might go back.”
“…”
“And I was afraid that one day you would regain your sanity, recover all your memories, and come to hate me.” Demian’s gaze slipped away from her and fell to the floor. “Because I did terrible things to you.”
Dana almost laughed at how disgusting he was. “So you knew what you did to me was wrong?”
“Yes. But even so, I just wanted to stay with you.”
Ah… I want to kill him. She didn’t even feel violent anymore. Dana was simply sick of his very existence. Why am I even listening to this dog-like rambling?
Dana glanced around. There was a broken flower vase over there. If I stabbed him in the neck with one of those shards of glass, he’d die, wouldn’t he?
“So after I died, in order to beg forgiveness from you in the future, I prepared this version of myself.”
She couldn’t say a word. His obsession had gone beyond madness. It was just revolting.
“Demian Windsor. Even in death, you still can’t let me go.”
“I will love you even if I’m reborn.”
“I will never forgive you.”
“I’m sorry, Dana. Please don’t hate me so much. I’m already dead. The me standing before you is nothing more than the last will I left behind while I was alive.”
“…”
“And I can’t exist for long. At most, I have a week left… then I’ll disappear. So please, Dana. Within that week, I’ll do anything. Please forgive me, even if it’s only a little.”
“You’ll disappear in a week?”
“Yes. Adma’s body is dying, so I can’t remain here for long.”
Did he think she pitied him? A glimmer of hope appeared in Demian’s eyes.
A week, huh. Of course, Dana had no intention of forgiving him. If anything, she wanted to kill him brutally with her own hands. But she hadn’t come here just to vent her anger on someone like Demian.
“You’re inside Adma Rolland’s body right now. That means you also have Adma Rolland’s memories, don’t you?”
“Ah, of course.”
“Then…”
Dana would never forgive him. But she was willing to dangle forgiveness before him as bait. Just to find the holy relic.
“If you help me, I might forgive you.”
There is a holy relic on this island.
