As Giju Wishes Chapter 1.2
Just as he was bracing himself, he felt something cold on his back. To be precise, that cold thing was hitting his back. He slowly turned his head and saw two little kids. They were shooting Choi Geon’s back with water guns.
“You’re already all wet anyway.”
They were happily spraying Choi Geon’s body with water guns, saying they were washing off the muddy water. Seeing that, something in Choi Geon’s head snapped.
“Get lost!!”
Choi Geon stomped his foot into a puddle and yelled menacingly.
“Aaaahhh!”
The kids with the water guns immediately turned and ran away, screaming. And Choi Geon, left behind, spat out the muddy water that had trickled down from his hair into his mouth. His eyes began to turn cold.
The next day, as soon as school ended, Choi Geon waited in that alley with his eyes peeled for that guy, Shin Giju. Even the sound of a passing cat made him glare with heightened sensitivity. He didn’t know his name or where he lived, but he waited relentlessly without even caring if the guy had gone home or not. That’s how on edge he was.
After waiting for about 30 minutes, a round head began to appear in the distance. He was touching the weeds on the side as he walked, looking completely at ease. At this sight, Choi Geon’s eyes flashed as he strode towards Shin Giju.
“Hey.”
Following the voice, Giju stared intently at Choi Geon as if observing him. Just like his appearance, his spiritual energy was still strong.
“Hey!”
Choi Geon, extremely displeased with those wide, roundly lifted eyes, yelled for no reason. Where does he get off acting so innocent?
“What are you? What did you do to me?”
Now that he looked at him, his gaze was cold and quite unpleasant.
“I didn’t do anything.”
“That water! What about the water.”
“I told you to be careful, but you ignored me and left.”
As he spoke so clearly, Choi Geon was momentarily at a loss for words.
“…Hey!!”
“Why are you yelling….”
Giju said with a look of discomfort.
“No, fuck, how did you know that.”
Choi Geon was frustrated. Because what a weirdo had said had actually, plausibly come true. In fact, even now, he still thought it was a coincidence. He had only come here just in case. In the unlikely event that this guy had done something.
“Spit it out, you fucker. If you have a mouth, speak.”
Choi Geon thrust his face towards Giju, who remained silent, and glared at him like a punk. He looked ready to grab him by the collar at any moment. At that, Giju thought for a moment and then opened his mouth.
“You know, I’m good at seeing things others can’t…. And from what I saw, you really need to be careful of water. Actually, I was being indirect because I thought you’d be scared, but have you by any chance heard of an aekgwi?”
A brief silence flowed with the sound of the cool breeze. At Giju’s words, which sounded like he was talking about catching the moon, Choi Geon’s eyes instantly went dead, and he just ignored him and turned away.
“What the fuck, I came here for nothing.”
As expected, it was just a coincidence and bad luck. Feeling much more relieved, he was about to turn back when his arm was suddenly grabbed.
“But you really have to be careful of water. This is the first time I’ve seen something like this–”
“Let go if you don’t want to really drown and die.”
Choi Geon cut Giju off and violently shook his arm free.
“What kind of crazy bastard is this? Anyway, the world is a fucking dangerous place.”
Having his arm let go, Giju mumbled something as he stared intently at the retreating back.
“It’s really dangerous though….”
Suddenly, his ear felt itchy, so Choi Geon casually dug at it with his pinky finger and called Song Jiseop. Realizing it was all just a brief spell of bad luck, his mood suddenly improved.
“Hey, come out to play pool.”
The weather was nice, and he felt like the drinks would go down well today.
“The dorm? Ha, don’t give me that useless crap. Climb the wall, dude. I’m hanging up.”
After calming the brief surge of anger at the ridiculous excuse, Choi Geon headed to the pool hall with a rather cheerful gait. The humming was a bonus.

Thwack–
Leaning over, Choi Geon, in a perfect stroke posture, hit the red balls consecutively. It was a fantastic play where he didn’t hit the white ball even once.
“20 points.”
“Ooh, are you possessed today?”
“After warding off bad luck in such a shitty way, I should at least get 200 points.”
Thwack–
Thinking about it again, he got angry, and hit the ball with a lot of force in his cue stick. Nevertheless, it still hit the red ball accurately.
“Damn, you’re killing it today.”
Seemingly finding his own play amazing, Choi Geon sat down arrogantly on the sofa with his legs spread wide.
“I need to drink heavily today.”
Thwack–
“Drinks?”
Song Jiseop, who had just taken his shot, looked back and asked. At that, Choi Geon cockily tilted his head up.
“Should I raid my grandpa’s warehouse for the first time in a while?”
“You crazy bastard. I fucking love it.”
Song Jiseop grinned and hit the ball again in a strange posture. He was just clowning around since he had already lost anyway. That’s because the warehouse of Choi Geon’s grandfather, Choi Myunggil, contained all sorts of rare things.
There were old whiskeys and wines, of course, as well as old books, records, and even board games from the early 20th century. Since they were young, that warehouse had been like a treasure trove to them.
“I’m calling everyone.”
As Choi Geon stood up, grabbing a cue stick again, Song Jiseop immediately took out his phone and started making calls. As expected, those who were studying like zombies in the dorms went crazy at the mention of the warehouse.
“Let’s get going too.”
Thwack-!
The billiard ball, struck by the cue, spun and spun without stopping.

Boisterous sounds flowed out into the garden, which a gardener had meticulously manicured. Those gathered around the pavilion were getting thoroughly drunk.
Gulp, gulp–
Beer trickled down his chin. After chugging it, Choi Geon picked up a pepper next to him, dipped it in ssamjang, and ate it. Having become accustomed to rural life for a long time, they were now satisfied with just cucumbers as a side dish for their drinks.
“Hey, go get that.”
“If I get this, isn’t your grandpa going to kill us?”
What Choi Geon told him to get was a 100-year-old wild ginseng liquor. Choi Myunggil was particularly fond of infused liquors.
“His grandson’s energy is so depleted he’s out of it, so what does it matter?”
At the words ‘energy is depleted’, everyone’s gaze fell on Choi Geon. Then they each made a comment.
“If your energy is depleted, then what are we, half-corpses?”
“Hey, I think you grew up stealing all my food.”
“Is that bastard drunk?”
Choi Geon couldn’t claim to be weak even as a joke. His physique and stamina were so good that he had been scouted by sports departments several times. In particular, his tall height and lean muscles could handle any kind of sport.
“You guys don’t know anything, you bastards. You have no idea how unlucky I’ve been.”
Choi Geon reached out, took the ginseng liquor, and opened the lid himself. Then, without even savoring the aroma, he poured it into a glass and drank the liquor crudely. His face contorted from the burning sensation in his throat.
“Ah, fuck. Is this cyanide?”
Choi Geon, who was cursing the ginseng liquor for being strong, poured and drank another glass, contrary to his words.
“Where, where.”
Out of curiosity, Im Hyo-jun drank the remaining ginseng liquor in the glass. Then he frowned even more than Choi Geon. At that, the eyes of the other boys sparkled, and they all took a taste.
“Hoo, it has to be this strong for my energy to be restored.”
Ignoring them, Choi Geon, lounging comfortably, nodded his head in satisfaction at the strong liquor.
“I keep telling you, but your energy is already excessive. Are you really lying about your age? Let me see your ID.”
They often mocked Choi Geon, asking if he wasn’t a local gangster who had been held back for about three years. And for good reason, as Choi Geon was excessively fearless and aggressive. In other words, even though he was not yet an adult, his energy was incredibly strong. He stood out exceptionally even in a gathering of the entire student body. With his wild-animal-like eyes and an arrogant atmosphere even when standing still, no one wanted to make eye contact with him.
“If you weren’t born into this family, you would have taken over Chungcheong Province as a gangster.”
“That bastard probably went around collecting debts since elementary school.”
Even amidst the cackling laughter, Choi Geon remained sprawled out, munching on a pepper. Because, as they said, if he hadn’t been born into a wealthy family, he really might have become a gangster.
“Hey. Pour me a glass of that life-saving ginseng liquor.”
“If we get caught, you say you drank it all.”
Jo Jaehyun tried to cut ties as he poured ginseng liquor into Choi Geon’s glass.
“Get lost, you chicken fucker. I’m gonna say you drank it all.”
At Jo Jaehyun trying to subtly get away with it, Choi Geon threw a pepper at him. And Jo Jaehyun instinctively swatted it away with his hand. The pepper fell into the nearby pond with a plop.
“It’s a home run, a home run.”
Everyone, excluding Choi Geon, clapped, calling it a home run. At that, Jo Jaehyun clenched his fist and waved his hand in satisfaction.
“Hey, but don’t carp live in there? Won’t they die if they eat a pepper?”
At Im Hyo-jun’s words, everyone nodded. The brains of the drunken boys were simplicity itself.
“Really?”
Even Choi Geon was swayed by those words. He looked meaningfully at the quiet pond. That pond, which had been there since he was born, was very shallow, only coming up to his knees.
‘You, be careful of water.’
