“M-Miss Camilla…”
Heinz murmured, looking at Camilla with a bewildered expression. After that, the eyes of the priests who followed her could be seen trembling.
‘Tsk tsk, you should have stood in line well.’
I clicked my tongue inwardly.
Camilla stared at me silently with cold, burning eyes.
Before long, people were heard shouting accusations and contempt against her.
“You fake saintess! Get out of here!”
“She must be a witch!”
“Fraud! To think that you play with Miss Ariel and us!”
Her plan to prove holy power in front of the people and to be recognized as a real saintess was foiled like this.
Camilla closed her quivering eyelids as she heard the boos pouring down on her.
“The black magic I possess belongs to Father. In the end, everything belongs to the Great God Raid.”
Her lips parted and she let out a calm voice.
As soon as Camilla finished speaking, a dark wind began to blow around her.
“The divine punishment to the ungodly who ruined the prophecy.”
As Camilla reached back, the brand-new Raid statue flew out of Heinz’s bag and landed on her hand.
‘The object that was stolen from my room today!’
I watched the whole process with my eyes shining sharply.
As if the Gods were trying to protect me, they tried to respond. A status window popped up in front of me.
[The God of Destruction, Ciel, uses Response on you.]
[The God of Love, Odyssey, uses Response on you.]
[The God of Justice, Hetuse, uses Response on you.]
[The God of Knowledge, Hessed, uses Response on you.]
[The God of Art, Mond, uses Response on you.]
[The God of Benevolence, Oman, uses Response on you.]
Gradually, the fierce Magi began to rage. And various pieces of furniture in the temple hall began to fly around.
Reihausd blocked my path with a firm expression.
He drew a sword from his waist and swung the sharp sword.
Then the flying objects fell on his sword before they could reach me.
“…I wish you were mine at that time, High Priest.”
Camilla, who was looking at Reihausd like that, raised one of her lips and said, as if she felt bad it turned out to be like this.
However, he just stared at her with cold eyes without twitching his eyebrows.
Camilla said, her expression contorted, as if her pride had been hurt by his inaction.
“I’ll get rid of you all here, and the prophecy… Yes, the prophecy starts all over again. Father will write a better story for me.”
There was the bitter madness in her eyes, who once pretended to be a pure saintess.
Soon, her eyes started to glow red.
Maybe this is what she really is.
The strong wind of Magi went over the podium where we were standing and came to the place where people were sitting in the hall.
There was a clatter of things breaking all over the place, and the screams of people who was hit by the pieces of furniture.
“The wicked witch uses black magic!”
“Run away!”
People agitated and rose from their seats, began to swarm behind.
Kyle, who was sitting in the front seat relaxed, stretched out his body and rose from his seat very slowly.
Cass, who was sitting next to Kyle, got up from his seat at a leisurely pace and moved his steps toward me.
“Capture the demon!”
The Paladins who once tried to catch me came flooding over the podium.
Camilla’s red eyes flashed more intensely when she saw the Paladins heading towards her.
“You arrogant ones!”
The moment she raised her hand, the wild Magi’s wind violently knocked the Paladins down.
I watched the scene and opened my mouth to address her.
“Miss Demon, why don’t you stop being rough and have a serious conversation now?”
At the word ‘demon’, Camilla glared at me with deadly eyes.
Soon her hand was directed at me, as it was with the Paladins earlier.
“I’m talking about your father, Raid, the God of Eternity.”
“Don’t put Father’s name on your mouth!”
Before she could finish her words, the sharp crystals created around her came pouring down on me in the wind.
Seeing as it seemed dangerous, Cass reached out and pulled me into his arms.
Kyle jumped up on the podium, drew his sword, and shattered the crystals with his sword aura.
“Thank you.”
I whispered to Cass and slipped away from his firm embrace.
It seemed wrong to have a calm conversation with Camilla.
“This fake saintess doesn’t even know your place…”
Camilla held up the statue, glaring at me with terrifying hostility in her young eyes.
“How dare you steal my destiny, the saintess of prophecy?”
Camilla squeezed it between her hands, absorbing the power of the statue.
Soon, a dark aura from the statue flowed into Camilla’s body.
Then the shadow beneath her feet grew clearer and something like a thorn came out and dug into the floor.
After a while, there was a sound, crack, and the platform started to split.
It was destroying the magic circle that suppresses divine and holy power.
She has black magic as a demon, but as a descendant of Raid, she also has powerful holy power, yet the magic circle seemed to interfere with her ability to unlock the power.
Camilla’s eyes glowed red. Before long, small monsters with pitch-black aura began to crawl out of her shadow.
They went down the podium and began to threaten those who were evacuating.
Kyle lightly swung his sword from where he was standing. As the Sword Master’s sword aura erupted, the small monsters evaporated in an instant.
However, the monsters swarmed endlessly. A few even reached where I am.
As one of them approached, I tried to attack with holy power. Yet Cass’ hand pulled me back.
“Stay still.”
Cass raised his hand and drew some symbols in the air, his mouth was muttering something. Then, the monsters approaching us began to disintegrate and disappear before they even reached us.
‘What?’
I knew that Kyle was a Sword Master, and Reihausd used powerful divine power. But it was the first time I knew Cass had used such power.
‘No way… Is it divine power?’
Cass said he doesn’t believe in the Gods, what happened?
However, this thing in front of my eyes was more urgent.
I put my thoughts behind me and focused on Camilla as I stood behind Cass. And I started saying things I hadn’t said before.
“Your father, does he have a part time?”
Hm, in my haste, a bunch of modern terms popped out.
She glared at me as if I was talking bullshit.
“Ah, so I mean your father, Raid, the God of Eternity…”
I looked at Camilla and spat out my words.
“I have a strong suspicion that he’s the Demon King, Leto.”
The first thing that was suspicious was the content of Raid’s prophecy.
What was the reason for the prophecy about the union between Camilla and Diego Vester?
‘Seeing that Diego was disgusted with the prophecy, he wouldn’t have agreed to it.’
Then I came to a certain conclusion.
Maybe Raid was trying to rule the Demon Realm and the Human Realm by joining hands with the Demon King Leto?
That’s why he tried to unite their successors.
‘Let’s try to deduce step by step.’’
I searched various materials related to the Demon King Leto and Raid for various possibilities.
The other time I met Diego, I was rereading a book I had borrowed from the library and read once.
[The Demon King, Leto gave his own mana a unique name, ‘Eternal Ruin’.]
It was a term I had seen in Raid’s scriptures.
Raid’s scriptures contain many pessimistic verses about the nature of man, and the term ‘Eternal Ruin’ appears several times.
Suddenly, a thought ran through my head.
‘What if Raid and Leto were the same individual?’
If this hypothesis is correct, Raid and Leto might be trying to dominate the Demon Realm through Diego and swallow the Human Realm through Camilla.
‘Maybe he made a plan like this and made a prophecy?’
A God and a demon.
No one would imagine that two completely opposite beings were one.
I wouldn’t have been able to. Even other Gods and system administrators like Van and Ren.
I had contacted Diego through Cass’ crystal ball. And explaining my reasonable doubts, I pushed for straight cooperation.
“What should we do, I wonder.”
Then he grinned and said.
“I’m not a child who listens well, but Leto put a lot of taboo curses on my mouth. A long time ago.”
Rather than avoiding to answer with words such as, “The prophecy is disgusting,” just like in the cave, he explained the reason why he was unable to answer me.
“Haha…”
Camilla’s lips twisted at my words.
“I thought you would fall less, but you have quite a good sense.”
She looked at me arrogantly and said. It was as if she was humble enough to be unapproachable to myself.
“Yeah. My father, Raid, the God of Eternity, is Leto, the Demon King. And I was destined to rule the world with my brother. In other words, it’s on a different level from a shabby human like you.”
I, who was listening to Camilla, quietly licked my lips.
“Is this enough evidence?”
Then, the oracle’s chat window responded.
