Back at the filming set.

Dozens of extras and staff bustled about filling the spacious underground boxing gym.

In one corner of the gym, I began mapping out the blocking in my head while reviewing the script.

Today’s scene was the illegal fight gambling den that the entire staff had put tremendous effort into.

It was something that took place under the auspices of Han Jina, whose hobby ran on the violent side.

With extensive action, blocking, cuts, and plenty of hazards, this was an extremely high-difficulty scene.

I stretched my body while sensing my nerves naturally sharpening.

“We’ll begin the rehearsal.”

The assistant director’s voice near the ring flowed through the speakers.

At those words, I set down the script and headed toward the ring.

When I climbed up onto the ring, two stunt actors who’d been waiting greeted me.

“Looking forward to working with you.”

“Yes, same here.”

“Just do exactly what we practiced.”

“Got it.”

My heart started racing slightly as I gnawed at my lips.

That’s when the assistant director also climbed up onto the ring.

Then handed me a chair that had been positioned in the dead zone.

“Let’s run through the full shot once. Ready, action.”

The moment I heard the cue, I hurled the chair at one of the stunt actors.

The actor stepped back and looked at me.

I roughly grabbed the chair again and brought it down hard on the actor’s back.

“Mm, okay. Need to shift a bit more to the side. That’s good now.”

The director, who’d been monitoring from outside the ring, gave the okay sign.

“Then let’s go right into it.”

“Yes!”

At the director’s words, every staff member and actor found their positions.

“Whew…”

I took a deep breath to shake off my nerves.

Don’t mess this up—with that thought, I rolled my wrists while visualizing the revised blocking in my head.

Shortly after, inside the dark boxing gym.

“Ready, action!!”

Brilliant lights poured down onto the ring.

Two men raised their guards and started circling each other.

The two were facing off bare-handed, with no headgear or gloves.

People sitting in the audience seats roared roughly, “Hit him!” “Kill him!!”

Han Jina, sitting in the front row, smiled with pure delight.

“Kill him! Don’t come out until he’s dead!!”

Han Jina shouted loudly and pounded the floor hard.

In an instant, rough noise erupted throughout the boxing gym until it became deafening.

A brutal brawl unfolded in the ring.

As dull sounds echoed through the gym and blood started spurting, the crowd went wild.

“That’s it!! Knee!!! Drive it in!!!”

“Get up!! You fucker!!!!”

“Hit him!!! Harder!!!”

When the man pinned underneath started taking a beating in a one-sided assault, Han Jina shot up from her seat.

Then rushed out and grabbed onto the ring.

“Get up!! Won’t you get up!!? I said kill him!!”

The two men heard Han Jina’s voice and hesitated.

“Hit him! I said hit him!!!”

Soon the man who’d been striking from above became even more aggressive and started beating the man pinned below.

Watching this, Han Jina entered the ring in a completely frenzied state.

Then grabbed the chair that had been placed in the dead zone.

Han Jina hurled the chair straight at the man who was staring at her in shock.

The man who’d been beating his opponent with killing intent flinched back in surprise.

Han Jina grabbed the chair again and charged at him, bringing it down mercilessly on his body.

The man could only raise his guard helplessly and take the beating.

Sounds of wild cheering echoed from the audience seats.

Han Jina stomped on the man like a madwoman before roughly whipping her head around.

The man who’d been collapsed on the floor was staring blankly at Han Jina.

Han Jina approached with heavy breaths and grabbed him firmly by the hair.

Then spoke through ragged gasps, her breath rising to her chin.

“Fight again. Or else you’ll die by my hand.”

Fear flickered through the eyes of the man caught in Han Jina’s grip.

“Fight again!!!”

She roared like she was shouting, and Han Jina exited the ring again.

The two men faced off again, having lost all will.

As an atmosphere formed where someone truly needed to die, the only thing felt in their movements was a desperate desire to escape this situation.

“You’re not doing it right?! Don’t want your money?!!”

Han Jina screamed at them both.

Finally, the man who’d been knocked down threw the first punch.

The two started grappling again…

This time the tide turned, and the man who’d just been pinned climbed on top and started beating like mad.

His fists pounding the face pressed to the floor began gaining momentum.

Sounds of wild cheering, brutal hitting, and groaning filled the boxing gym.

The man roared “Aaahhh!!!” like someone who’d lost his mind and pummeled his opponent.

“That’s it!!!!”

“Hey, you bastard!!! Get up!!!”

“Waaahhh!!!”

Within the noise that continued for some time, the pained groaning suddenly stopped.

The man who’d been striking from above halted his hands.

Seeing his opponent collapsed without movement, the man jumped up in alarm.

He shook his opponent.

The collapsed man hung limp without response.

Han Jina watched this scene before quickly entering the ring again and raising the standing man’s arm high.

Cheers poured through the boxing gym once more.

Wads of cash flew madly onto the ring from every direction.

The winning man still standing looked around the boxing gym with vacant, dazed eyes.

“Cut! Okay!!!”

Thanks to yesterday’s meeting, the filming pace had noticeably accelerated.

Most importantly, I was managing to bring out my Han Jina without destroying her.

“Director, how’s this tone working?”

“Perfect right now. You can even go a bit more over the top. Just do it exactly like we discussed yesterday—no problem.”

“Got it.”

Coordinating with the director had become much easier, and the filming results had visibly improved.

Jung Yeowon, who’d been standing beside me playing the secretary role, glanced back and forth between me and the director with a slightly tense face.

From now on, Jung Yeowon would also play a crucial role in the story.

“Yeowon-ssi, ready to go in right now?”

“Yes.”

At the director’s question, Jung Yeowon nodded while settling into her character.

I deliberately didn’t let my gaze linger long on Jung Yeowon’s face.

I turned around and presented my back to Jung Yeowon with what felt almost cold indifference.

“Alright, let’s keep going!”

The assistant director’s voice rang through the speakers once more.

After the victorious man left the ring.

As audience members began leaving the boxing gym one by one, staff who’d been waiting below the ring climbed up and moved the man.

But then, Jung Yeowon, who’d been standing by the ring, quickly climbed up and shook the man.

“Hey!! Lee Seonghoon!! Lee Seonghoon!!!”

Jung Yeowon, who was always expressionless, burst into tears.

“Lee Seonghoon!! Wake up… wake up…!!!”

The man showed no movement.

I’d also been preparing to leave when I looked toward where Jung Yeowon’s voice came from.

“What’s she doing over there?”

I asked the security guard standing next to me with a puzzled expression.

The guards bowed their heads with dark faces.

“Lee Seonghoon!!!”

Jung Yeowon started sobbing desperately as she pulled the man into her arms, crying loud enough to wash away the gym.

“What the hell.”

I climbed back up onto the ring with a strange look.

I approached Jung Yeowon, who was wailing hysterically.

“Why are you crying?”

Jung Yeowon, who’d been crying with her face buried in the man’s chest, raised her head to look at me.

Jung Yeowon’s eyes looking up at me turned ice cold.

Seeing that gaze, I let out a hah and smirked.

“Was he your type? What, your boyfriend?”

Jung Yeowon glared at me without a word.

“Why are you glaring at me. Did I force him out there? He came here himself saying he’d do anything for money.”

“…”

I looked down at the man with an emotionless expression and shook my head slightly.

“He’s clearly dead. Find another guy.”

As I turned to leave, Jung Yeowon spoke.

“You’re going to face divine punishment.”

Hearing those words, I slowly turned back to look at Jung Yeowon again.

Jung Yeowon cursed me with eyes full of venom.

“You’ll face divine punishment. I won’t let you get away with this.”

Hearing that, I smirked as if finding it absurd.

Then approached her again, crouched down, and met her at eye level.

“Are you in a position to let me go or not let me go? If you were… you wouldn’t have been carrying my shopping bags in the first place.”

“……”

I roughly shoved Jung Yeowon’s head aside as I glared at her with contempt.

“I’m letting this slide because I feel sorry for you. Go check out a coffin for your boyfriend.”

I pulled out my wallet and scattered a few bills over Jung Yeowon’s face.

Then turned my back and left the ring.

* * *

After moving locations.

Scenes with just the secretary and me in the dermatology VIP room followed immediately.

Coincidentally, due to location issues, the scenes we’d be filming now were scheduled to be inserted before the boxing gym scene.

Therefore, Jung Yeowon needed to show herself enduring humiliation while faithfully working under Han Jina.

“How’d that research on Taesin Group go?”

I tossed out the question bluntly while lying on the treatment bed.

Jung Yeowon, standing nearby, handed me documents with composed movements.

Some residual puffiness remained faintly in her eyes from all that crying earlier.

“I’ve put together a file…”

“You read it. I’m too tired to look.”

“Yes. Understood.”

Jung Yeowon began reading through the documents clearly.

“Taesin Group’s first-half stock price this year…”

I was listening quietly when I cut Jung Yeowon off.

“Not stuff I can find just by looking online. If I wanted that, I’d have searched it myself.”

I spoke irritably, and Jung Yeowon bowed her head.

“I apologize.”

“Forget it.”

I peeled off the sheet mask on my face and sat up.

When I roughly tossed the mask at Jung Yeowon, she flinched and bit her lip.

Watching her face, I asked with a mocking tone.

“Does it bother you?”

“…No.”

“Right, I’m the one who should be bothered. Doing your job this half-assed and just taking the money.”

I tapped Jung Yeowon’s shoulder with the document file.

Jung Yeowon just stared at the floor with a confused expression.

“…”

Seeing that face made me pause, caught off guard.

This was the section where Jung Yeowon was supposed to flare up at Han Jina.

It was a scene we’d agreed on—Han Jina endlessly tormenting and digging into Jung Yeowon like she was toying with her.

These accumulated emotions, compounded by losing her boyfriend soon after, would eventually contribute to Han Jina’s downfall.

Jung Yeowon seemed confused in her emotional arc from the scenes we’d just filmed, probably trying not to overact from the boxing gym emotions bleeding through.

She appeared to be deliberately holding back from flaring up.

I stood up and tied my hair.

“What do you do after work?”

“Pardon?”

“Don’t make me ask twice.”

“Ah… I have a date with my boyfriend…”

I looked at Jung Yeowon after roughly tying my hair.

“If you have time to fool around like that, do your work.”

I threw another barb at her, and Jung Yeowon bowed her head.

“Yes, I apologize.”

Seeing that face, I touched my neck with an ah, this won’t work feeling.

As I was leaving the VIP room, sure enough.

“Cut, NG.”

The director’s NG call came through.

Jung Yeowon blinked rapidly, looking slightly flustered.

“I’m sorry, it’s because of me.”

“No, it’s fine.”

I answered briefly and shook my head.

The director spoke to Jung Yeowon from a distance.

“Yeowon-ssi, let’s try it again like we discussed. With more anger in the emotion.”

“Yes.”

Jung Yeowon found her script with a highly tense face.

“Can I just look at the script for a moment…”

I blocked Jung Yeowon’s path.

“No. How about we just shoot it right now?”

“…?”

Jung Yeowon’s pupils wavered in confusion.

Without consulting anyone, I called out immediately.

“Director, let’s try it again.”
