The next morning.

“So I’m planning to film once with Hyangmin sunbaenim.”

After explaining the situation to Minyeong unnie over the phone, laughter echoed from the receiver.

-Good thinking. This one should get good views too, right?

“I think so? I’m grateful sunbaenim readily agreed to do it.”

-Really? I heard things have been rough. Guess the atmosphere’s okay these days?

“Ugh, don’t even get me started… It’s still killing me right now.”

-Wow… sounds seriously intense?

Unnie responded with genuine concern, sounding a bit surprised.

-This is practically the first time I’ve heard you say it’s tough. Is he really working people that hard?

“That’s part of it… but every single cut has everyone fighting over it with their own ideas, so filming takes forever. Plus the production scale is massive.”

-I see. Make sure you don’t burn out—take care of yourself.

“Don’t worry too much.”

-Right, you’ll handle it well. Good luck with filming.

“Yeah, I’ll call you again later.”

After hanging up, I hurriedly gathered my things and got up.

If I was going to be Im Hyangmin’s one-day stylist today, I needed to be fully prepared.

* * *

Im Hyangmin’s agency office.

The moment I arrived, stylist Jung Mihyeon greeted me with a smile.

“Sena-ssi, you’re here?”

“Yeah, where’s sunbaenim?”

“Inside.”

When I entered the office, Im Hyangmin was sprawled on the sofa reading his script.

I immediately went “puhup” with a laugh and stuck the camera in his face.

“Huh, what?”

Im Hyangmin, startled by the camera, laughed in bewilderment.

“Hey, put that away!”

“Sunbaenim, you agreed to film for my iTube.”

“Oh, we’re starting right now?”

“Yes, that’s right. Now then, let’s check out sunbaenim’s commute outfit, shall we?”

I panned the camera from top to bottom, examining Im Hyangmin’s clothes.

Then spoke in a narration tone.

“Wow, this is serious.”

Jung Mihyeon burst out laughing behind me.

“Hey, what’s so serious?”

Im Hyangmin asked, dumbfounded.

“Now, let me show you the commute outfits I’ve prepared.”

I pulled clothes out of the large bag I’d brought.

First, a plain shirt and jeans outfit.

Second, a thin cardigan with a white tee and straight slacks.

Third, a comfortable hoodie and white cotton pants.

As I pulled out each outfit and neatly arranged them on the table, Im Hyangmin scrunched up his face.

“Ugh, I don’t like those kinds of clothes!”

“Sunbaenim, please just take off what you’re wearing. What are those shoes!!”

My eyes happened to catch Im Hyangmin’s shoes and I gasped in shock, shoving the camera at them.

Im Hyangmin yelled “Get away!” while desperately hiding his feet.

The staff giggled watching Im Hyangmin’s pathetic foot movements.

“What the—the soles are completely worn down. The front’s about to have holes in it?”

“Hey, these are my favorite shoes!”

“How long have you been wearing them… Please just let them go now….”

I gasped at the shoes that looked at least 20 years old.

Jung Mihyeon sighed behind me.

“I’ve tried to secretly throw those shoes away so many times. But I keep getting caught, so I still haven’t managed to toss them.”

“Wow….”

Hearing that, I shook my head in disbelief.

Jinseok oppa stood there expressionless, capturing both my disgusted face and Im Hyangmin’s irritation in one frame.

“Sunbaenim, get up. We need to go to set now.”

“Ah shit, I’m just gonna change at the set anyway, so why bother!”

“Shh, shh!”

Im Hyangmin grumbled as he got up from his seat.

“Just give me whatever.”

“Sunbaenim has to choose.”

“Ugh. I hate slacks.”

“Then should we go with jeans?”

I stuck close beside him like I was soothing a child, asking gently.

Jung Mihyeon sighed again behind us, and the staff burst into another round of laughter.

Im Hyangmin, now looking a bit embarrassed, scratched the back of his head and grabbed the shirt and jeans.

“Perfect! Go put them on quick!”

“Ah, seriously, I knew I shouldn’t have agreed to this. This is such a pain.”

Im Hyangmin grumbled as he grabbed the clothes and headed to the inner room of the office.

“Take off those shoes too!!”

I desperately shouted at the closed door.

“No way!!”

Im Hyangmin refused even louder from inside.

“Hah… this won’t be easy, will it?”

Already feeling slightly exhausted, I pressed my hand to my forehead.

Jinseok oppa, looking satisfied like he’d captured some great footage, shoved the camera in my face.

An hour later, at the filming set.

The staff all showed surprised reactions seeing Im Hyangmin arrive dressed like an actual human being for once.

“What’s this, sunbaenim! Going for the boyfriend look today?”

“Boyfriend, what?”

Im Hyangmin, who hadn’t caught on, furrowed his brow.

“I’ve got two kids.”

At that, the staff laughed mockingly as they passed by.

“What’s with them. They just laughed at me, didn’t they.”

I kept filming the irritated Im Hyangmin on camera while giggling myself.

“Sunbaenim, you look cool dressed like this though?”

“Hey, I’m a celebrity.”

Im Hyangmin stuck his face right up to the camera.

“Eek.”

I jumped in surprise and pulled the camera back.

Watching free-spirited Im Hyangmin, I had a feeling this would get explosive views—probably record-breaking.

The comments are going to go crazy too.

People will probably mock him endlessly and tease him….

Hmm….

Sunbaenim still has no idea.

That’s when the director waved from afar and approached.

“Whoa, what’s this. How come you’re all cleaned up?”

The director’s eyes went wide seeing Im Hyangmin.

“No but seriously, what did these people think of me before.”

“What did we think? Do I really need to spell it out?”

The director laughed heartily.

“Director, please give today’s styling an evaluation.”

I pointed the camera at the director.

The director looked Im Hyangmin up and down while making a “tseup” sound.

“Now you finally look human. What, about this much? Sena-ssi must’ve had a tough time.”

“Right?”

“I’m going to handle sunbaenim’s filming wardrobe today too.”

“Oh, really? That’ll be fun.”

The director nodded with an interested expression.

“I’m today’s dedicated stylist.”

The director didn’t miss this timing and spoke to the camera.

“Please look forward to Lee Dongkyo’s fashion. And our ‘Blood Waltz’! Please look forward to it.”

Im Hyangmin and I both burst out laughing at the sudden promotion.

“This guy’s the real celebrity, if you ask me.”

Im Hyangmin pointed at the director and laughed in disbelief.

“Alright then, shall we go prepare for filming? Lee Dongkyo’s styling!”

I shouted while looking at Jinseok oppa’s camera beside me.

* * *

Shortly after.

Im Hyangmin appeared with his hair a complete mess and mud smeared all over his body.

His clean appearance from moments ago was completely gone—anyone would think he’d been living on the streets.

Im Hyangmin shuffled over, dragging worn slippers.

“Who are you?”

At my question, Im Hyangmin took his feet out of the slippers and wiped his soles on his pants.

“Ahhh! Sunbaenim!!”

I screamed mid-filming.

Im Hyangmin casually scratched his head.

“This is way more comfortable.”

“Wow….”

“You’re the one who dressed me like this.”

“….”

“Didn’t even need this much mud either. But you really piled it on.”

“Pfft. Pffft hahaha…”

I ended up laughing with sounds close to crying.

“Filming’s gonna go well today?”

“Sunbaenim, do you like the styling?”

“Yeah. This is all because of that evil bastard Han Jina. Chasing that punk around, rolling in the dirt, getting torn up, suffering like hell….”

Im Hyangmin fiddled with his shirt that was torn beyond recognition.

While doing so, he spoke to my camera like he was making a complaint.

“Dear viewers, this filming set really has no respect for elders. You know?”

“What are you talking about?”

“Look, I film basically everything on the street. Mud pits, getting beat up in the boxing ring, you know? Plus freezing streets, sleeping in cars….”

“You’re talking about your individual scenes?”

“Exactly! But Han Sena gets to film in expensive officetels, restaurants, hotels! Places like that. Ugh, so unfair.”

Hearing that made me burst into another fit of laughter.

I spoke to the camera like I was explaining to viewers.

“That’s why they say even when choosing roles, you should pick the rich ones.”

“Right. Even in period dramas, you gotta play kings and queens so you’re not freezing or sweltering. You know I debuted in a period drama as a beggar role.”

“Oh right! Sunbaenim debuted in a period drama.”

Im Hyangmin’s debut work was also circulating online in various captures made by fans.

“I still get teased about that. They call me low-born commoner.”

“Pfftt.”

“My dad’s over seventy. He gets so upset that his son always appears pathetically.”

Even Jinseok oppa couldn’t hold back and burst out laughing.

“I want to play a rich person too.”

That’s when Jung Mihyeon approached with his outer jacket and chimed in.

“Give it up. You don’t have the face for it.”

“We’ll do the rehearsal now!”

The assistant director’s shout came from the distance.

“Alright, let’s go.”

I handed the camera to Jinseok oppa.

“Well then. Let’s see what kind of cut comes out with this styling.”

* * *

“Ready, action.”

In a dilapidated vacant lot.

Im Hyangmin lay collapsed in one corner, coughing.

I signaled the bodyguards who’d beaten up Im Hyangmin to step back.

Im Hyangmin, covered in dirt from being beaten all over, groaned “ahh” in agony.

“You were tailing me? What were you trying to dig up?”

I pressed one finger on Im Hyangmin’s head, pinning it to the ground.

“Just a lowly detective. What could you possibly dig up anyway?”

“Well, I’ve already dug up quite a bit so far.”

Im Hyangmin smirked even while beaten up.

“Ahjussi, you’re pretty dumb. Even if you dug something up, you shouldn’t say so. How was I supposed to know you’d end up buried here today.”

“Hey, I’m a detective. If a detective goes missing, everyone’s gonna search like crazy. Don’t you know?”

Im Hyangmin protested desperately.

Hearing that, I smirked and scoffed.

“So what’d you dig up?”

“Not telling!”

I let out a small sigh with a bored expression and stood up.

Then kicked Im Hyangmin’s stomach hard.

Im Hyangmin gasped and curled up his body in pain.

I stomped on his head.

Then gestured to the bodyguards again before stepping back.

The bodyguards, understanding the signal, all rushed in and started beating Im Hyangmin mercilessly.

Dull thuds from the beating echoed throughout the vacant lot.

“Cut! Okay!!”

The moment the cut signal came, Im Hyangmin groaned and pushed himself up into a sitting position.

“Hah….”

“Sunbaenim, are you okay?”

I quickly ran over with concern and checked on Im Hyangmin.

“I’m dying here, seriously. Fucking hell.”

“….”

Seemed like he was okay enough.

Jinseok oppa, who’d approached at some point, captured this scene on camera with a subtle smile.

“Get lost!!”

Im Hyangmin shrieked.
