“That’s right, come quickly.”

Charlotte first went to the table and sat down, and Morris sat across from her, confused.

Charlotte pushed the sandwich in front of him, but he refused with a slight nod.

“What do you want to know?”

“To make a magic stone, I have to accumulate mana at my fingertips.”

“That is true .”

“so …”

Charlotte gathered her mana into her fingertips with her right hand resting on the table.

Once again, the mana did not gather, but this time it scattered again.

“It’s so scattered. Why?”

Unlike Charlotte, who was serious, Morris answered dismissively.

“Everyone is like this at first.”

“Really?”

“Yes. If you know how to handle mana and know how to craft all magic stones, then magic stones won’t be so expensive.”

Right. That’s it, considering that the number of magicians was small, magic stones were especially expensive.

“I need to make a magic stone as soon as possible, but is there really no way?”

“Why are you trying to do it yourself? If you need a magic stone, you should ask the duke for it.”

Charlotte’s gaze turned to Theo, who was digging potatoes and carrots with a shovel.

Morris followed her and turned her eyes away.

“Is that something you would do for Sir Theo?”

“Yes .”

“Umm. It’s not like there’s no way at all…”

His manner of saying it was very cautious.

“Is it difficult?”

“No, there is nothing difficult. If it’s me or Ahin, we can do it easily.”

“So what’s the problem?”

“There are a lot of problems, a lot of them, otherwise why didn’t

 Ahin do it yet?”

No, what the hell is this? Why do you keep telling the story in a twisted way?

Charlotte barely backed away from what she wanted to say.

“That is why I asked you for help. I’m really in a hurry. If it’s not difficult, please do it right away.”

“I have to hold your hand.”

Easier than expected, Charlotte quickly extended her hand.

“please .”

“The Duke’s sword, really….”

“I will make sure to keep it a secret.”

Morris bit his lips, closed his eyes, and grabbed Charlotte’s hand, then the mana in her body started to fluctuate.

She reflexively struggled to calm her mana and movement while he was driving it.

Mana gathered at her fingertips. Normally, when Charlotte was alone, the mana would be scattered around.

But this time it was different. The mana that gathered from her fingertips pooled onto her palm, forming a white marble on her hand.

Soon, the gem began to form on Charlotte’s palm. It was a bright blue, similar to the color of her eyes.

Charlotte closed her eyes and focused on the sensation. A little, a little more!

It was the moment I screamed inwardly. The jewel, which was less than half the size of her little finger, cracked and fell to the ground.

An embarrassed look appeared on Morris’s face.

“Why is that?”

“Did you fail?”

“Yes, it usually works. Does the nature of mana differ because you are a suitable person?”

Morris held her hand and was eager to learn more.

“Let’s try again. I can’t fail at that.”

at that moment.

“Sister!”

Theo, with his dusty hands and clothes, ran briskly and hung on Morris’s arm.

“Get away from Sister! Leave Sister!”

“No this …..”

“Brother! I’ll tell Brother!”

Morris shook his head slightly when he saw Theo trembling with anger.

“I think I’ve finished giving you some advice now. Young Master is very angry.”

Charlotte grabbed Theo, who was angry, wiped his hand, and smiled awkwardly.

“I don’t know why Theo is acting this way, thank you for today’s lesson, we’re not done with it yet but I think I know how now.”

“Next time, when you are not sure if it will work out, ask Ahin.”

Seeing Theo glaring at him, he ran outside the greenhouse as he wiped away his cold Sweat. Even after he left, Theo remained angry for a while.

***

Ticktock, ticktock.

Theo gasped like a beast and headed to his brother’s office. Charlotte didn’t even know the baby was going to Carcel’s because that was his nap time.

“Theo?”

“Brother!”

Carcel was examining the papers and hugged Theo, who was puffing out his cheeks like an angry puffer fish.

“What happened?”

Theo remembered the scene he had seen earlier in the greenhouse.

A while ago, Sister held me and said, “This is a secret from your brother, okay?”

Theo nodded because her words to him were absolute.

But when I woke up, I got angry again.

Who is this strange uncle who suddenly grabbed Sister’s hand?

In Theo’s mind, Morris’s title had been reduced to Uncle.

Sister told me it’s a secret but I’ll tell Brother everything!

Theo, who came with strong intent, told his brother what he had seen.

“This magical uncle grabbed Sister’s hand!”

Carcel’s face turned cold. But Theo didn’t notice and grabbed his hand tightly.

“So, he held it this way.”

“Ahin?”

“no !”

“Who then?”

“Ah, ah….”

Theo, not knowing Morris’s name, shrugged his feet, trying to describe

what Morris looked like.

“His hair is like ice!”

“His hair is like ice….”

Carcel’s eyes narrowed slightly. He meant that his hair was white as snow. There is a white-haired Randro, but he is definitely not. Then there is silver hair…

“Is it Sir Morris?”

Theo nodded his head up and down.

It was good to have his favorite magician brother, Ahin, next to Charlotte. But strangely, he hated Morris, he didn’t like being around Charlotte.

Of course, he hated holding hands the most.

Carcel slowly swept Theo’s dissatisfaction back.

“Well understood.”

Theo could only relieve his anger after confessing everything to his brother.

Then he started sleeping again. The baby buried his head on Carcel’s shoulder and began to doze gently.

Carcel patted Theo on the back and headed to the baby’s room. Returning to the office after putting Theo to sleep completely, he fell into deep thought.

I just found out about this, but I don’t like how guys have been walking around Charlotte these past few days.

Not only was Morris openly asking her out, of course, but he was also annoyed with Ahin who was teaching her magic.

Although I knew I couldn’t help it because of the class, I didn’t want Charlotte and Ahin to meet secretly in a locked room.

Of course, Theo was a good supervisor, but I couldn’t help but feel uncomfortable.

Then he remembered Charlotte’s hand, which he had seen not so long ago.

When I kissed her fingertips, her hands were clean and clear.

That was the problem. Although she was betrothed by contract, she was betrothed to him.

Anyway, there was no ring on her finger.

She is my fiancée, but I haven’t put an engagement ring on her finger yet. How can I be so indifferent?

After much thought, Carcel called Chase.

“Yes sir.”

“I haven’t brought the engagement ring yet.”

“Oh? Yes. Did you not command that you do not need him because the engagement period is short?”

“I changed my mind.”

Carcel remembers Charlotte’s red eyes from crying as she looked at him. And the color of her eyes is blue.

“Bring a blue diamond engagement ring for Miss Lannia. as soon as possible.”

“What? But blue diamonds take time to get…ha.”

Chase gave up when he saw Carcel’s serious expression. He sighed as he left the office.

This is why I did not want to get involved in other people’s love affairs.

***

A crack cracked in the middle of the blue magic stone that was the size of a little child’s finger, and then the stone completely collapsed.

“I failed again.”

With a grim face, Charlotte removed the remnants of the stone that had fallen on the table.

I kept trying to revive my senses when I trained with Morris, but the results were the same.

A magic stone is usually only useful when it’s as small as a child’s finger, but it breaks like this when it’s only half-formed.

“What happened?”

“Honestly, I’ve never experienced this before.”

Even Ahin who was watching couldn’t figure out why.

“I think it’s because the magic stone that Miss is trying to craft has a different nature than an ordinary magic stone. If that’s the case, I don’t think there’s anything else I can help you with.”

Charlotte was left speechless. If I can’t make the magic stone, I can’t help not only Theo but also Carcel.

However, if Carcel stays in the same palace, I can at least calm his mana by holding his hand or arm at least once a day.

‘But what if Carcel goes somewhere else?’

He said the culprit in the martial arts competition case had not been arrested.

As long as it was likely that the criminal was targeting Theo, Carcel would step forward to catch the criminal himself.

If that was the case, Charlotte and Theo could be placed in a safe area in the Duchy and go elsewhere to investigate.

‘If the mana fluctuates after that, something bad might happen to Carcel.’

Even Carcel himself is not aware of the truth and may miss the right time.

Charlotte clenched her fist.

This should never happen.

I hated the thought of never seeing Carcel again.

What do you mean by a world without Carcel? It was awful.
