The <Hideout> cafe door has a chime bell.

Perhaps because of that sound, Gyeon Junhwi looked this way as soon as we entered.

My gaze and Gyeon Junhwi’s entangled in midair.

“Sora, do you know him?”

“Yes, we met during the awakening test. May I go say hello?”

“Go ahead.”

I left the secretary uncle behind and strode toward Gyeon Junhwi.

Gyeon Junhwi’s beauty is intact today too.

During the awakening test, tension and fatigue must have slightly reduced his appearance stats.

Now that he’s gotten sufficient rest, he radiates like he’s been sprinkled with diamond dust.

I felt like a gasp would naturally escape, but I forcibly swallowed it down.

‘Get a grip!’

There were reasons why I frequented this cafe every day.

I came looking for Gyeon Junhwi because I had important business.

Of course, personal feelings are mixed in about 80%, but there’s work to do too.

As I approached, Gyeon Junhwi began making an eye-smile.

“What a coincidence?”

“Right, to meet in a place like this?”

A sticky eye-smile.

That’s the eye-smile that comes out when Gyeon Junhwi switches to schemer mode.

I have a rough idea what scheme he’s plotting.

Because I came for that reason too.

“Sora! Did you finish saying hello?”

The secretary uncle looked between me and Gyeon Junhwi with sinister eyes.

“Uncle will sit over there, so call me when you’re done, haha.”

As the uncle moved, he was muttering things like ‘youth is wonderful~.’

And today he took out a book instead of taking a nap.

‘I’ll have to talk about important things later.’

Since there’s a listener.

I took a seat at Gyeon Junhwi’s table, then started casual chatter.

“What have you been up to?”

I am genuinely curious about this.

What on earth was he doing that he only came now?

Why did he move differently from the original work?

But an unexpected answer came back.

“Me? I was just busy with enrollment preparations and part-time work.”

“Part-time work?”

“There’s something I want to buy but I was a bit short on money. I heard students can do porter work once they awaken.”

I finally realized why Gyeon Junhwi couldn’t come here.

Because of me.

The Gyeon Junhwi in <On the Brink of Destruction> earned quite decent income from the first outbreak.

Because he diligently sliced goblins until the rescue team arrived.

But this time, because I barged in, he couldn’t slice as many goblins as in the original, and because of that, Gyeon Junhwi’s income decreased significantly.

In short, because I butted in, my baby couldn’t go play around and had to do part-time work instead.

“What’s wrong?”

“Ah, it’s nothing. Gyeon Junhwi, where’s your house?”

“House?”

“He said he’d give me a ride home later. If it’s on the way, want to come with?”

Meaning to meet alone after the secretary uncle gets off work.

Gyeon Junhwi immediately caught the hidden meaning in my words and smiled.

“Then I’d be grateful. Where’s your house?”

“Jeongneung-dong.”

“What a coincidence. I live near there too.”

Liar.

You live in Dongdaemun… but of course I didn’t say that.

“Then let’s go together.”

The remaining time was spent exchanging youthful chatter for the listener eavesdropping on our conversation.

It was truly a beneficial time.

Because I obtained precious tidbits like Gyeon Junhwi’s favorite color being dark gray, not knowing his MBTI because he never tried it, and his favorite number being 3.

And at exactly 6 o’clock.

I bid farewell to the secretary uncle.

“Thank you for everything. You must have really struggled…”

“Haha…”

Look at him unable to say otherwise.

“Uncle, you’ll really become a good father. When your daughter grows up later, surely…”

“Ah, right. My daughter will be the same age as you in 4 years… haha… high school girl… high school girl…”

Don’t worry.

Your daughter won’t grow up to be a strange woman like me.

I just hope she doesn’t get PTSD because of me.

“Shall we go?”

I left the Tower with Gyeon Junhwi, then boarded the vehicle provided by Phoenix Guild.

And after getting out of the car, Gyeon Junhwi looked at me with a quite serious face and spoke up.

“I have something to talk about for a moment—can you spare some time?”

Finally, what had to come came.

I resolutely nodded my head.

* * *

The place we headed to was a playground.

The apartment playground had the risk of running into Yeom Juwan, so we went to a playground attached to a nearby neighborhood park, but perhaps because the sun had set, there wasn’t a single person around.

“Shall we sit and talk for a bit?”

“Sure.”

I sat on the bench Gyeon Junhwi indicated with a nod, then asked nonchalantly.

“What’s it about?”

“That dream you mentioned before keeps bothering me.”

Gyeon Junhwi has a very serious face.

A face that says he’s worried to death about me.

‘My baby could be an actor.’

He’s got the looks, the proportions, and even the acting skills—all three boxes checked.

If we prevent destruction, let’s set up a management agency together.

“If what you said is true, Yeon Sora… it means you dream of the future, right? This could be a serious matter.”

“Really?”

“First, can you tell me specifically what you saw in the dream?”

Gyeon Junhwi’s eyes glinted at the last part.

‘As expected, he noticed?’

Actually, I’d made a small setting error in my first prophet coming-out.

Three types of people who see the future appear in <On the Brink of Destruction>.

Called prescient, foreseer, and prophet respectively, they see the future in subtly different ways.

First, the prescient.

The prescient is an ability user who ‘knows’ the future.

The prescient appearing in <On the Brink of Destruction> happens to be one of the masterminds.

Through prescience, the mastermind learns the information that ‘a dangerous person is mixed among this year’s freshmen,’ and so formally brings a catastrophic incident storm to the academy.

Second, the foreseer.

The foreseer is an ability user who ‘sees’ the future.

They can know the future much more accurately than the prescient, but the foreseer appearing in the work is currently affiliated with Azure Dragon Guild.

That side is neither ally nor enemy.

And finally, the prophet.

The prophet is an ability user who ‘hears’ the future.

This is the person I need to impersonate, but I mistakenly said I ‘saw’ the outbreak in my dream.

I committed a rookie mistake.

Haha, it’s my first time possessing.

But this is a recoverable mistake.

“I didn’t see the outbreak in a dream.”

“Then?”

“Actually… no, you won’t believe me even if I tell you.”

“That won’t happen, so tell me.”

“You’ll think I’m a strange person…”

First, play hard to get.

I hemmed and hawed a few times with a feeling of ‘I’m dying to tell you, but I’m afraid I’ll look crazy,’ then opened my mouth.

“This might sound strange, but actually… I heard it.”

“Heard it… as in, a voice?”

“It was a voice, but not in Korean… but when I hear that sound, something shows like a video…”

Let’s roughly make it like the voice of god.

Add some setting like the voice of god becomes visualized when heard.

I guarantee as a devoted reader that prophet settings were never described in the work.

Meaning there’s no risk of being caught even if I make it up to my taste.

“Th-that’s strange, right? P-please pretend you didn’t hear it!”

Finish with roughly a confused heroine feeling.

Explanation complete!

I secretly glance sideways toward Gyeon Junhwi, and my baby is resting his chin with a serious face.

‘Did it work properly?’

I can’t tell just from his expression.

Fortunately, I don’t have to rely on uncertain things like expressions.

It went up!

By as much as 9%!

Doesn’t this mean Gyeon Junhwi trusts my words?

Come to think of it, intimacy with Ha Seonwoo went up too?

…Then Gyeon Junhwi’s questions continued again.

“Have you had any similar dreams since then?”

Gyeon Junhwi still doesn’t fully believe me.

Because our intimacy is still negative.

From now on, I need to raise this number.

“I dream every day, but I don’t think they’re all dreams about the future.”

“What kind of dreams did you have?”

“I dreamed about eating sweet pumpkin tarts, going out to play with my siblings, going shopping, and also…”

I rambled on about useless dreams, then gave a meaningful look at the end.

“Actually… I dreamed about you too.”

“About me?”

“Wait a moment.”

Instead of answering, I opened my inventory and took out a bundle of five-colored thread from inside.

The nine-tailed fox tail fur I purchased a few days ago.

Nine-tailed fox tail fur is the main material for the item Gyeon Junhwi will make at the next catastrophic incident.

I thrust the fur bundle right before Gyeon Junhwi’s eyes, showing it with a 360-degree rotation so he could observe it well.

“In the dream, it said you need this.”

Seeing is believing!

Rather than saying ‘I’m a prophet’ with my own mouth a hundred times, showing once is faster.

Gyeon Junhwi needs this fur bundle, and I bought this fur bundle based on a dream.

How about it? Doesn’t this seem prophet-like?

Judging by how Gyeon Junhwi’s pupils are trembling finely, there seems to be an effect.

Shall I check once?

【Viewing intimacy with characters.】

▷ Yeom Juwan (Lvl. 99, Intimacy 99%) ▷ Gyeon Junhwi (Lvl. 99, Intimacy -10%) (⇧20%) ▷ Ha Seonwoo (Lvl. 79, Intimacy 35%)

As expected, it went up!

By as much as 20%!

The part about it still being a negative number bothers me a little, but this is probably because my baby is cautious.

Doesn’t it mean he believes I’m a prophet, but hasn’t decided whether to accept me as a comrade yet?

Anyway, I’ve achieved my desired objective of proving I’m a prophet.

What remains is inventory disposal…

“Do you need this?”

“…No.”

“Huh?”

“I don’t know why I’d need this though?”

Rejected.

‘As expected, my baby is cautious.’

If he accepts this, I might ask ‘What will you use it for?’, which would put Gyeon Junhwi in an awkward position to answer.

A situation where even if you want to give a gift you can’t, and even if you want to receive one you can’t.

How regrettable.

I had no choice but to put the homeless nine-tailed fox tail fur back into my inventory.

“Tell me later if you need it. I’ll hold onto it for now.”

“Why?”

“What do you mean why?”

Gyeon Junhwi is looking at me like I’m some strange life form.

I tilted my head in confusion since I didn’t understand the point of the question either.

“That thing, it’s not cheap, is it?”

“Yeah, it was expensive.”

“How much was it?”

“25 million gold.”

“But… you’d just give that away?”

I finally caught Gyeon Junhwi’s point of confusion.

He’s questioning my mental world where I take opening my wallet for my bias so much for granted.

Right, it would be strange from a muggle’s perspective.

“It’s just, the outbreak dream before actually happened 3 months later too. Even if this dream doesn’t mean anything right now, it could be necessary later, right? If I can prevent people from dying like before, I should do my best to prevent it…”

I’m awkwardly attaching this and that reason, breaking out in a nervous sweat for no reason.

“Haha, shall we head in? Tomorrow’s enrollment! I need to go home quickly and prepare!”

I hurriedly tidied up, then guided Gyeon Junhwi, who’s unfamiliar with this neighborhood, to the bus stop.

Waving my hand widely in greeting, standing before the crosswalk waiting for the signal to change.

〔Opening Destruction Prevention TO DO List.txt〕

☐ Extract the TMI in my unconscious with Ha Seonwoo’s help.

☐ Find the Grasshopper Boss’s subordinate.

☑︎ Meet Gyeon Junhwi and finish the prophet coming-out.

Checking off the to-do list brought a sense of accomplishment.

‘Already got one done! You’re doing well, Seo Juyoung! No, Yeon Sora!’

I was having a moment of abundant self-praise time, patting myself to my heart’s content, when I felt a strange presence.

I turned my gaze toward the presence, and at its end was Gyeon Junhwi.

‘Don’t tell me… he saw?’

I was startled for a moment, but judging by the direction his head was turned, Gyeon Junhwi seemed to be looking at the road, not at me.

Thank goodness.

Because I was probably making quite a suspicious face.

Still, let’s be careful from now on.
