Operation: Extermination of Vermin (1)
Seon Yul bit down on his lip, his expression frozen cold.
Just moments ago, the instant the railgun shot… one he believed would be enough in a single hit, pierced through Zhang Peng, Seon Yul thought it was over.
But that thought didn’t last long.
Fwoooosh!
Through Divine Eye — shared vision, Seon Yul confirmed it: Zhang Peng’s body was regenerating, flames surging upward like a phoenix rising from ashes. Seon Yul gave a slight nod.
The fire enveloping Zhang Peng didn’t die down; it began burning even more fiercely.
“…This feels like he’s come back to life.”
Cheon Li Yu, witnessing the scene through Divine Eye, shouted in shock.
But Seon Yul’s expression didn’t waver in the slightest.
“Some kind of resurrection-related ability, huh? Then…”
He took a light breath and pulled the railgun’s trigger again.
Whiiiiing— BOOM!
Sssshhhhhhk!
A tungsten round tore through the air at tremendous speed once more, piercing straight through Zhang Peng, who had only just staggered back to his feet after reviving.
KWA-AAAAANG!
His body exploded again, vanishing into smoke and flames… yet once more, the fire reignited almost instantly.
Seon Yul muttered coldly,
“Fine. Keep reviving. It doesn’t matter… I’ll just kill you again. In the end, let’s see who gives up first.”
The third shot was fired.
Again, an explosion.
Again, disappearance.
Again, rebirth in flames.
Zhang Peng groaned in agony as he rose once more.
“Haah… Haah… This… level of attack… can’t… kill me…!”
But his voice was already trembling.
The immortal flames continued to resurrect him… but his mana clearly had limits.
Fourth shot. Fifth shot.
Without a change in expression, Seon Yul continued firing the railgun relentlessly.
KWA-GWAGWAGWANG!
Each time, Zhang Peng’s body was torn apart, only to be reborn in flame.
But now, fear had begun to spread across his face.
How…? How can he keep up such powerful attacks without stopping? Is this even possible…?
Eleventh shot. Twelfth shot.
The railgun did not stop. Cold, persistent… Seon Yul kept pulling the trigger until his opponent would be completely erased.
Cheon Li Yu watched nervously.
“Can the railgun even hold out?”
“It’s more than enough! The one in danger right now isn’t the railgun… it’s him!”
Seon Yul’s eyes gleamed coldly.
Zhang Peng writhed in pain, igniting flames again and again—but as the attacks continued, his strength began to fade.
At the twenty-first strike, Zhang Peng screamed and failed to rise.
Please… stop…!!
He cried out inwardly, consumed by fear and despair… but Seon Yul remained unmoved.
“Sorry, but I have no intention of showing mercy to any of you.”
Twenty-second. Twenty-third.
Now, Zhang Peng’s flames flickered weakly, on the verge of extinguishing.
The moment the twenty-fourth round pierced his body, the flames covering him finally began to collapse.
“KUAAAAAAAGH…!”
The immortal fire went out at last, and Zhang Peng fell to his knees.
Then Seon Yul’s cold voice followed.
“You can’t beat me.”
The twenty-fifth railgun shot pierced through Zhang Peng… completely erasing his existence.
After eliminating Zhang Peng, Seon Yul dealt with the remaining artificial mana users by simply mobilizing K9X self-propelled artillery units and raining down bombardments, sweeping them away.
He had already resolved to act ruthlessly.
And so, he showed no restraint.
***
High above Hanoi, within the Absolute Space.
With Zhang Peng completely erased, a suffocating silence fell over the space.
Only the faint sound of the railgun barrel cooling after firing tungsten rounds lingered in the air.
Seon Yul exhaled slowly.
“…Phew. That’s one down.”
Cheon Li Yu glanced at him.
“One? The guy you just killed counts as ‘one’?”
“China and Russia each received four ‘Pure White Marks.’ From what’s been revealed so far, at least three of them are already out on Earth-104… and one is probably still waiting.”
Seon Yul scanned the temporary monitors deployed along one side of Absolute Space… real-time community posts, official announcements from national management agencies, and private intel channels.
“The wind user in Manila is Liu Chen. Ulaanbaatar has Tatiana. Hanoi was Zhang Peng… and the last Russian ice user hasn’t made any direct moves yet. Just quietly wrecking the frontlines.”
“So where next? Ulaanbaatar? Manila?”
Seon Yul shook his head immediately.
“No. Next is Beijing.”
“…Straight to their main base?”
“As long as they’re gnawing away at everything like a swarm of insects, we need to crush the nest first.”
He placed several small steel spheres onto the table. They were miniature models of the 5,000-ton steel spheres used in God’s Hammer.
Setting them down one by one, he continued in a chilling tone,
“This time, not a ‘warning’… but something close to a reset.”
Cheon Li Yu let out a quiet sigh.
“Is that really okay?”
“Looking at Manila, Hanoi, and Ulaanbaatar… they’ve already crossed the line.”
The safe zones of the Philippines, Vietnam, and Mongolia had all been breached simultaneously.
Those countries never had strong magical forces to begin with. Even now, countless civilians were being slaughtered by branded artificial mana users.
“Besides, China had already started quietly occupying North Korea.”
Seon Yul checked the situation on the monitor. Where the Sinuiju temporary base once stood, only a massive crater remained.
“If we put this off again for ‘later,’ we won’t have the luxury when that later comes.”
“But there are civilians in Beijing too…”
“That’s why we’ll warn them first. Through Cha Seong Hyeon… broadcast it so the whole world sees. Especially civilians in Beijing.”
“You’re… going to warn them before attacking?”
“Yeah.”
“But then the enemies could escape too.”
“Doesn’t matter. This time, the target isn’t ‘people.’”
“Then… what is it?”
“Simple. Military command, communication networks, magical research facilities… ten strikes of God’s Hammer.”
“…Ten?”
“Yeah. For Beijing, that should be enough to send the message: ‘Don’t ever try anything like this again.’”
Cheon Li Yu fell silent at the overwhelming scale.
“I’ll pull the coordinates.”
She closed her eyes and activated Divine Eye.
Divine Eye — Wide-Area Detection.
Data on key strategic points across Earth-104 had already been shared among national agencies.
Combined with the “China High-Risk Facility List” compiled by Cha Seong Hyeon, extracting coordinates wasn’t difficult.
Pressing her finger onto the floating holographic map of China, she spoke:
“Target 1: Central Military Commission underground command.
2: National Mana Research Institute main building.
3: Magical communication satellite control center.
4: Beijing defense network core node.
5: Artificial mana user training facility.
6 to 9: Major conventional strategic weapon sites.
10… bonus target: Beijing First Mana User Training Base.”
Seon Yul grinned.
“Wow. That’s perfect.”
“You told me ‘make sure they never try anything again.’ This seemed necessary.”
“That’s true. Though this might end up exceeding ten impact points.”
“Exactly fourteen.”
“Well, four more hits won’t hurt.”
With the targeting complete, Seon Yul waved his hand and began preparations within Absolute Space.
[Absolute Space – Omnipotent Shop]
Zzzzzzt
As he purchased a steel sphere, a massive 5,000-ton steel ball slowly materialized in the storage zone.
Soon, a giant sphere sat at the center of Absolute Space.
Cheon Li Yu clicked her tongue.
“Can you really use fourteen in a row?”
“It’s fine. God’s Hammer uses gravity as its energy source. Magic stones are only needed to maintain the gate. Sure, the consumption is high… but it’s nothing I can’t handle now.”
He added calmly,
“Oh, and even with the warning, I’ll minimize civilian casualties. All strikes will target underground or military zones.”
“That’s… somewhat reassuring.”
“I’m all about safety.”
He said it lightly… but his eyes weren’t smiling at all.
30 minutes later
12 km above Beijing.
Tssssss
The sky split open.
A massive oval gateway of Absolute Space tore through the black clouds… and from within, round shadows began to emerge one by one.
[Gate Fixed — Above Beijing]
Standing at the edge, Seon Yul looked down.
“Cheon Li Yu, ready?”
“All coordinates locked. Just drop them in order.”
“Then let’s begin.”
He placed his hand lightly on the first steel sphere.
“God’s Hammer. First strike.”
The moment he lifted his hand, the sphere slid out through the gate.
SHHHHH— ROOOOOAR!!
Five thousand tons of mass accelerated under gravity.
The air screamed as it split apart, shockwaves forming around the descending steel sphere.
“Impact in 3 seconds.”
Cheon Li Yu’s voice echoed through Absolute Space.
“2… 1…”
KWA-AAAAAAAAAAAAANG!!
The first God’s Hammer struck directly above the Central Military Commission’s underground command… landing precisely at its center.
