Indian Relief Operation (1)

Outskirts of Delhi, temporary base of the Indian sovereignty-support faction.

“Let’s start by organizing things.”

Seon Yul, his face completely covered by a safety helmet and mask, spoke briefly before scanning Mahavar and the leadership of the Indian sovereignty-support faction one by one.

Cheon Li Yu had already activated her Clairvoyance, surveying the situation across all of India.

“Delhi, Chandigarh, and Mumbai are the main axes where the pro-Imperial faction holds key strongholds. Especially the ones gathered on the northern plateau of Delhi… they seem like the real command center.”

“Ashan’s side?”

“Yeah. And…”

Cheon Li Yu’s gaze shifted slightly upward.

“Something’s approaching this way. Fast.”

Seon Yul narrowed his eyes.

“What kind of something?”

“Speed-type, wind-type… space is slightly distorted. Feels like… the guy who caused chaos in Manila.”

“Liu Chen.”

Seon Yul muttered the name briefly.

Mahavar looked back and forth between the two with a tense expression.

“Has the Empire sent another reinforcement unit?”

“More like ‘surveillance and punishment’ than reinforcements.”

Seon Yul lightly loosened his shoulders.

“The Indian civil war was probably meant to be dragged out only as long as the pro-Imperial faction could hold. Then cleaned up all at once at the end. If we set the direction first, even better.”

Cheon Li Yu continued:

“We’ll handle the pro-Imperial faction for now, so please just maintain your defensive line, Mahavar. If you launch any reckless offensive and collide head-on with those branded with Pure White, the losses will only grow.”

Mahavar bit his lip briefly, then nodded.

“Understood. We will maintain the defensive line and wait for the ‘direction’ you speak of.”

Seon Yul extended his hand.

“That ‘direction’ is simple. Eliminate the pro-Imperial command, and sever all ties connecting India to the Empire.”

Mahavar firmly grasped Seon Yul’s hand.

“If you help us, India will undoubtedly choose that path.”

North of Delhi, above a barren hilly region.

Fiiiii—.

The sound of air tearing rang out.

As if an invisible door opened in midair, space twisted slightly… and a man stepped out from within.

A silver cloak wrapped in the wind, loosely tied hair, and a strange posture as if standing on empty air.

“So this is… the center of the Indian civil war.”

It was Liu Chen.

Below his feet, far beneath, lay a pro-Imperial Indian stronghold planted with the Empire’s flag.

Some of Ashan’s forces were gathered there, and traces of chaotic battle were scattered all around.

One pro-Imperial magic user looked up at the sky and shouted:

“It’s Lord Heavenly Wind!!”

Liu Chen waved a hand casually, as if it didn’t matter.

“Where’s the command?”

“They’re currently engaged with the sovereignty remnants south of Delhi. We thought we could push them soon, but their defense is stronger than expected…”

“That’s why you called me.”

The corner of Liu Chen’s lips curled slightly.

“Good. Then it seems a cleanup is in order.”

He activated Wind Leap.

The moment his toes lightly touched the air, his body “disappeared.”

Ssssh!

The next instant, he appeared hundreds of meters away.

It wasn’t jumping distance… it felt like “skipping space” itself.

“Truly… this is a stage that suits me perfectly.”

Muttering that, Liu Chen turned his gaze toward the sovereignty faction’s defensive line south of Delhi.

Southern Delhi, the front line of the sovereignty defense.

“He’s coming.”

Cheon Li Yu spoke first.

Seon Yul was already outside the Absolute Space, standing on the real ground.

A ruined open area slightly away from the defensive line.

Everyone had already evacuated the surroundings.

“Coordinates.”

“Right now, 1.4 km above your upper right. Wind and space are twisting together.”

“Yeah. There he is.”

Seon Yul slowly raised his hand while looking at the sky.

[Creating Absolute Space Entrance.]

On the ground, a tiny oval shadow the size of a coin appeared.

But immediately, it stretched as if being torn apart, transforming into a vertical entrance just large enough for one person to pass through.

“You’re not using the railgun this time?”

Cheon Li Yu asked.

“I could, but… I think it’s better to engage him directly and get a feel for it.”

Seon Yul answered calmly.

“Wind Leap, spatial type. He’s the worst matchup for my Absolute Space.”

As soon as he finished speaking… the sound of air tearing echoed again from above.

Fiiiii!

Liu Chen appeared.

He stood comfortably in midair, as if invisible stairs existed beneath him.

Looking down at Seon Yul standing alone below, he spoke:

“You are… Absolute Safety First?”

“Let’s go with that.”

“Did you really do that to Beijing?”

“There are plenty who saw it firsthand. Still doubting?”

At Seon Yul’s words, Liu Chen’s expression hardened.

“An irregular like you is disturbing the Empire’s order. His Majesty has declared that you must kneel before the Empire.”

“Does that ‘Emperor’ even know me?”

“He will soon enough.”

Wind began gathering around Liu Chen’s body.

Space distorted, his position wavering slightly.

“As of today, your freedom ends.”

At those words, Liu Chen vanished.

Ssssh!

The wind twisted… and instantly, Liu Chen appeared behind Seon Yul.

At his fingertips, a long blade of compressed air extended.

Slaaash!

Thud!

Seon Yul’s back split open.

Blood splattered… and then, his super-regeneration activated, healing the wound instantly.

“Ugh, that actually hurts.”

Seon Yul frowned and stepped forward.

Liu Chen’s eyes narrowed.

‘His reaction speed is already a nightmare… and that recovery too…’

“Not dead from one hit.”

Liu Chen disappeared again.

Ssssh—! Whoosh—! Fii—!

From left and right, above and below… his presence flickered everywhere.

Space twisted irregularly, and through those gaps, Liu Chen darted dozens of times in succession.

Slice, slice, slice!

Compressed wind blades slashed Seon Yul’s arms, legs, and sides repeatedly.

An attack that would have shredded any normal user.

But Seon Yul didn’t falter.

Blood appeared, then regeneration. Blood again, then regeneration.

“…What a monster.”

Liu Chen created some distance.

He reassessed his opponent.

“Super-regeneration, spatial abilities… and, though I hate to admit it, your combat sense isn’t bad either.”

“Thanks. But you’re more annoying.”

Seon Yul rolled his shoulders once.

“Wind Leap. Not simple teleportation… you’re linking spatial coordinates in short segments. Right?”

Liu Chen’s eyes flickered in surprise.

“…How much do you know?”

“Watching you move, it’s pretty obvious.

Long distances are difficult, so you compensate by chaining short jumps continuously.”

In truth, Seon Yul had already anticipated that a “railgun snipe” wouldn’t work.

“Using wind and space together… that’s a nightmare combo. Especially in open terrain or city airspace… you have the advantage.”

Liu Chen smirked.

“Correct. Which is why… I’ll kill you here.”

He vanished again.

Wooooooosh!

This time, it wasn’t simple slashing.

The very atmosphere trembled.

Liu Chen created “rings of wind” in the air, using them as stepping points to chain leaps, surrounding Seon Yul.

Invisible blades struck from all directions simultaneously.

Chik-chik-chik-chik!

At this level, even strong defensive buffs would struggle to hold.

“Whoa.”

Seon Yul rolled cleanly once.

Small wounds covered his body… then rapidly regenerated again.

Inside Absolute Space, Cheon Li Yu clenched her teeth.

“One clean railgun shot would end this…”

“Can’t hit him.”

Seon Yul’s voice followed.

“With that speed and pattern, his coordinates will already change before I can fire.”

Liu Chen stopped attacking and rose upward again.

“Your perfect recovery is impressive… but fatigue will accumulate eventually.

And my wind will never settle.”

“Which is why…”

Seon Yul casually opened his palm.

“If I keep playing here, I’m the one at a disadvantage.”

At that moment, another entrance formed… not on the ground, but in the air before him.

[Creating Absolute Space Entrance.]

This time, extremely thin and long.

A narrow vertical slit, like torn black paper.

Liu Chen scoffed.

“Preparing to run?”

“Half right.”

Seon Yul shrugged.

“I’ll run… and at the same time, ‘lure’ you.”

Liu Chen’s gaze sharpened.

“Lure?”

“If you’re this type, there’s no way you’d let someone escaping go.”

The moment he finished speaking, Seon Yul deliberately stepped backward.

He even acted clumsily, as if hurriedly trying to dive into the entrance.

Liu Chen sneered.

“Running now? Too late.”

He activated Wind Leap, using the torn space as a foothold.

Whoosh!

His eyes were already locked on Seon Yul’s back.

In his mind, he had already pictured the next moment:

‘Cut down his back as he tries to escape into the entrance, then seal it at the same time.

The moment his escape route is gone, he’s within my range.’

But…

At the exact moment he leaped… the entrance’s position shifted slightly.

Rip.

Not its position… its angle.

It had been vertical to the ground just moments ago, but now tilted slightly, as if to “catch” Liu Chen’s trajectory.

“…Huh?”

He was moving too fast to correct his body.

Suuuck!

Liu Chen’s entire upper body was sucked into the entrance.

His fingertips, shoulders, torso, even his waist…

“Got you.”

Seon Yul muttered briefly, flicking his wrist.

From the air, a silver wire shot out.
