A New Event (1)

The five special elite drakes born by the Elite Drake Queen were able to communicate with one another through telepathy.

The Elite Flame Drake, who had been observing the situation the entire time, expressed his opinion via telepathy to the Elite Shadow Drake and the Elite Acid Drake beside him.

‘Entry impossible.’ That was Flame’s conclusion.

The other two agreed.

All three believed that continuing to fight like this was not the right choice.

Each of the drakes under the command of Flame, Shadow, and Acid had originally numbered fifty, for a total of 150.

But now, only about forty remained.

In this situation, the three drakes judged that it was unreasonable to keep ordering the soldiers to charge into the hole.

At that moment, the Elite Shadow Drake stepped forward.

After ordering all the ordinary soldier drakes to retreat, he slowly flew toward the entrance of Absolute Space.

He could do this because he was a ‘Shadow’ drake.

With his special ability, he could certainly ignore the barrage of bullets.

Shadow could transform his body into a shadow state, granting immunity to all physical attacks.

Of course, while in shadow form, he himself could not exert any physical force either… but from a defensive standpoint, it was an outstanding ability.

Tstststst.

Turning his body into shadow, the Shadow Drake entered through the Absolute Space entrance.

Though countless bullets were still pouring out, forming a dense curtain of fire, Shadow naturally passed through the barrage and pushed his head inside.

Piiing! Piiing!

The bullets simply passed through Shadow’s body, now in a shadow-like state. Naturally, he suffered no damage.

As Shadow Drake, whose body was roughly three times larger than an ordinary elite drake, slowly forced his way in headfirst, he nearly filled the entrance.

As if deliberately boasting that such attacks meant nothing to him, he stared at Seon Yul while intentionally advancing at a slow pace.

In that gesture was a strange confidence… as if to say, ‘once I fully enter, you’re finished.’

In truth, if Shadow fully entered and began rampaging inside, it would indeed pose a crisis for Seon Yul.

If Seon Yul became preoccupied with dealing with him, the entrance would inevitably remain open… and then the drakes outside could flood in, making the situation truly dangerous.

Shadow was well aware of this and had entered with precisely that aim.

However…

There was one thing Shadow did not know.

Seon Yul’s offensive options were not limited to firearms.

In fact, there was one attack option that was perfectly timed to be used right now… and it happened to be the most powerful attack option Seon Yul possessed.

The very one that had sent the formidable Mountain Turtle to its death in a single blow.

That!!

[Absolute Space Entrance Closed]

Slice.

As Shadow’s body was halfway inside, the entrance to Absolute Space closed… and his body was split into two.

The Shadow Drake, while shadow-transformed, was indeed immune to physical attacks.

So at first glance, it might have seemed that this attack, splitting his body in half, should also have been considered immune.

But the result was not immunity.

It was a perfect critical hit.

The reason was simple: closing the entrance to Absolute Space was not merely a physical action.

It did not physically cut a target; rather, it separated space from space itself, severing the connection between the two sides.

Thus, the Shadow Drake caught between them was divided… one half in each space.

This was a separation of space itself, unrelated to physical force. Shadow transformation could not prevent such division.

The only one exempt from this separation was the master of Absolute Space: Seon Yul.

‘How dare you look at me like that’

Watching the Shadow Drake vanish into smoke without even managing to scream, Seon Yul let out a faint smirk.

Then he immediately reopened the entrance.

The drakes outside could not properly comprehend what had just happened.

One moment, Shadow Drake had been entering the hole. Next, the entrance disappeared, his body was severed, and he vanished into smoke.

Then the hole reappeared just as suddenly.

They understood that Shadow had been defeated… but they could not fathom how a drake immune to physical force had been killed in a single blow.

Meanwhile, the eleven elite drakes that had been moving under Shadow’s command charged into the hole the moment they lost their commander.

There was no stopping them.

Blind obedience had been engraved into the minds of the soldier elite drakes. Searching for Shadow, they acted purely on instinct.

And naturally, the elite drakes that rushed in were all shredded by the barrage.

At this point, Flame and Acid realized something had gone terribly wrong.

The reason they had flown to this hole in the first place was that they had judged it to contain a dangerous enemy.

Their assessment had been correct.

Therefore, eliminating this enemy swiftly had become their objective.

But the opponent was far stronger than they had anticipated.

Shadow… one of the Five-Color Drakes, had fallen.

Of the 150 ordinary elite drakes, only twenty-eight now remained.

Yet the enemy still appeared completely unharmed.

For a moment, Flame considered calling back the other Five-Color Drakes who had flown elsewhere.

But then Acid stepped forward.

Acid had realized that there was a blind spot in Seon Yul’s attacks, and he volunteered to exploit it to break through the entrance.

He immediately moved behind the Absolute Space entrance to secure the blind spot.

Indeed, the entrance had a front and a back. Since Seon Yul’s attacks poured out only in one forward direction after passing through the entrance, approaching from the rear allowed proximity to the entrance’s side without entering the line of fire.

Of course, simply clinging to the entrance did not enable entry while avoiding the barrage.

Nevertheless, Acid drew close to pour his special ability, acidic saliva, into Absolute Space.

Acid’s corrosive saliva not only had powerful corrosion effects but also produced acidic mist. If he could drip enough inside, he could deal significant damage to the enemy within.

The plan was to weaken the enemy, neutralize the entrance’s defense, and then have Flame and the remaining elite drakes charge inside.

In truth, Acid’s plan was not bad.

If he began pouring acid into the blind spot, numerous troublesome variables would arise.

In short, uncertainty.

And uncertainty often became danger.

Drip. Drip… Ssssss.

Acid droplets fell inside Absolute Space.

Even a few drops began generating acidic mist.

Acid was confident that if he continued for just several minutes, he could fill the interior with acidic fog dense enough to make breathing difficult.

However…

There was one thing Acid had failed to consider.

Seon Yul had long been aware of the blind spot and had prepared accordingly.

Shrrrraaack!

The barrage pouring from the entrance vanished… and at almost the same instant, a single wire shot outward.

The disappearance of the bullet curtain and the wire’s emergence occurred almost simultaneously. The acid failed to react in time.

Whiiiirl-Crunch!

The result: the wire wrapped around Acid’s neck.

Naturally, Acid tried to spew acidic breath to melt the wire.

But the wire was yanked violently before he could release it.

Rrrrrrk!

The force transmitted through the wire dragged Acid’s head toward the entrance.

Coincidentally, he had been inhaling to unleash his acid breath, which further delayed his reaction.

Of course, Acid attempted to pull back with strength.

And indeed, as a special elite drake, his raw power exceeded Seon Yul’s pulling strength. If he exerted full force, he could potentially drag Seon Yul instead.

But…

Like Shadow, Acid made the same mistake.

The position of his head.

That position again was the problem.

[Absolute Space Entrance Closed]

Slice!

If Shadow had been severed at the torso, Acid was beheaded.

The result was identical.

A perfect critical hit.

With that single blow, Acid’s vitality dropped to zero, and he vanished into smoke.

At this point, it seemed more appropriate to call it not the entrance to Absolute Space, but an Absolute Guillotine.

The most shocked at this moment was naturally Flame outside.

Shadow and Acid had both fallen the same way.

A full-scale crisis alarm blared in Flame’s mind.

And at that moment, the hole opened once more.

Seeing the entrance reopen, Flame realized he had to act before more elite drakes were drawn in and killed meaninglessly.

Believing his breath attack could at least suppress the enemy’s assault temporarily, Flame inhaled deeply as the hole reopened.

Flash!!

But what shot out was not a barrage of bullets.

Shrrrrrrrrrrk!

A single spear attached to a wire.

It burst out in a surprise attack, flying swiftly and precisely toward Flame.

Like Acid, Flame had been ambushed in the middle of inhaling, too late to evade.

So, in haste, he unleashed the breath he had prepared toward the spear.

Flash! Kwaaaaaaah!!

An ultra-high-temperature beam of energy collided with the spear… but unfortunately, the attribute matchup was unfavorable.

No matter how powerful Flame’s superheated breath was… no matter how capable it was of melting most things, it could not melt a legendary-grade item.

Furthermore, the wire attached to the spear was reinforced with mithril, which possessed even stronger resistance to magical energy than to physical force.

The conclusion was inevitable: the spear pierced through the blazing breath and stabbed into Flame’s body.

Thud!!

Kieeeeeek!

Flame originally intended to fly upward the moment he was impaled, to remove the spear.

But he could not.

A vicious curse poured from the embedded spear, instantly freezing his thoughts.

It was an unbearably severe curse.

His vitality began dropping in real time, and its effects made flight almost impossible.

Kieeeeeeeeeeeek!

Flame called out to the ordinary elite drakes under his command for help.

But that, too, did not go as intended.

Whiiiiiiing–dududududududududududu.

At the moment, Flame was immobilized by the spear…

The Drake grinder inside the hole began operating once more.

And the single line of bullets it produced swallowed Flame and the elite drakes rushing to aid him.

The drakes were torn apart with absurd ease.

Shredded to pieces, they all vanished into smoke in midair.

Among those who disappeared…

Was Elite Flame Drake, leader of the Five-Color Drakes and the one most trusted by the Elite Drake Queen.
