God’s Hammer (2)

Tssssssssss

Because he was forcing such an enormous Overrun, it took quite a long time. And naturally, it consumed a tremendous amount of mana stones.

Up until now, the largest entrance Seon Yul had opened was about 7 meters in diameter when he overran to kill the Mountain Turtle.

But this time, he was opening one twice that size.

Simply creating the entrance wasn’t easy.

He focused intently, steadily expanding the size of the portal.

After about ten minutes of intense concentration, he finally completed the 14-meter Overrun.

‘Kgh… It’s done!’

Although he had burned through 16.4kg of intermediate-grade mana stones, what mattered was that he succeeded.

With preparations for God’s Hammer complete, Seon Yul first evacuated Cheon Li Yu to the residential area inside Absolute Space.

Sharing vision might be cut off once she entered, but that didn’t matter anymore since the portal had already been formed.

However, even after she entered Absolute Space, the shared vision did not disconnect.

‘Does that mean vision sharing works even inside Absolute Space?’

The question briefly crossed his mind, but now wasn’t the time to dwell on it.

When Seon Yul first conceived this attack, he had thought of using two Absolute Space entrances to create an infinite free-fall loop… dropping the sphere repeatedly until it reached the desired speed and power.

With enough time, even from a modest height, he could build tremendous force.

But this infinite-loop method had two major problems.

First, even if an item was purchased from the Universal Shop, the moment it left Absolute space, it lost its original function and was reclassified as an external object.

Just like the kitchen knife before, once brought back inside, it became a foreign object subject to weight restrictions.

Which meant cycling a 5,000-ton steel sphere infinitely was impossible.

Second, when Absolute Space was used like a subspace, any object entering through its entrance would, regardless of how it entered, gently stabilize and settle inside.

Meaning…

Even if the steel sphere fell from extreme height, once it passed through a subspace-type entrance, all the kinetic energy it had gained would instantly vanish.

For these two reasons, the infinite-loop concept was discarded.

So Seon Yul chose the simplest method instead.

‘Just don’t miss.’

Accuracy was the biggest issue.

Power wasn’t a concern.

If the sphere hit the Lair but lacked force, he could simply fire another one. Everything was prepared.

He had even applied “Powerful Strike,” though he didn’t know if it would fully stack… either way, he wasn’t worried about damage.

But if God’s Hammer missed…

That would be a different story.

He would have to spend massive mana stones and time recalibrating based on the error margin, reopen the Overrun portal, and purchase another steel sphere.

Fortunately, the target was enormous.

And he had carefully calculated the portal’s position.

Missing seemed unlikely.

“Hu… Let’s go!!”

He took a short breath.

Then, from inside Absolute Space, he released the massive steel sphere.

Grrrrrrrr

The sphere, nearly the same size as the portal, slowly emerged.

‘Once it’s fully out…’

The moment the sphere cleared the entrance…

Gravity took hold.

Free fall began.

God’s Hammer. Activated.

Gooooooo

The 5,000-ton steel sphere began accelerating rapidly.

Since it was bought from the Universal Shop, the moment it exited Absolute Space, it rusted horribly, becoming unsightly.

It lost its original function as a “statue.”

But Seon Yul had never intended to use it for that purpose anyway.

Unbothered, he confirmed its state and immediately retreated into Absolute Space.

The sphere would strike Baengnokdam in approximately 24 seconds.

Plenty of time to evacuate.

Kwooooooo

The steel sphere accelerated further.

And its descent was visible even to the users who had withdrawn to the outskirts of the mana barrier.

“W-what is that?”

Everyone turned toward Hallasan.

And there…

Like a meteor falling from the sky…

Something enormous was descending over the mountain.

“A meteor?”

The Bureau had ordered evacuation, so users assumed they were preparing for the next Catastrophe Event.

But suddenly…

A meteor?

‘Did the Bureau drop that?’

‘Is that someone’s awakened ability?’

‘What the hell is happening over there?!’

Many users stared at Baengnokdam in disbelief.

Some quicker-thinking ones pulled out their mana-stone smartphones and began recording.

The camera quality was poor, but documentation mattered more.

About 20 seconds later…

The 5,000-ton steel sphere struck the Elite Drake Queen’s Lair covering Baengnokdam.

Not exactly dead center… it leaned slightly left.

But it didn’t matter.

Goooooo… KWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANG!!!!

The kinetic energy is converted into explosive force.

A cataclysmic detonation erupted.

To an uninformed observer, it could be mistaken for a nuclear strike.

In reality, it was significantly weaker than nuclear weapons.

But achieving this level of destruction purely through physical force was astounding.

Outside of nuclear bombs, few explosives could compare.

If anything, it rivaled Russia’s ‘Aviation Thermobaric Bomb of Increased Power’… commonly known as the FOAB (Father of All Bombs).

Even by base power alone, God’s Hammer was comparable to FOAB.

With ‘Powerful Strike’ applied, its effective destructive capacity far surpassed it.

Especially in this situation.

The sphere did not detonate immediately upon contact.

It burrowed deep into the Lair before releasing its kinetic energy outward…

Like a bunker buster.

It obliterated the Lair from the inside out.

Elite Drake Queen?

The moment the steel sphere struck…

She had no chance to survive.

Not even a trace remained.

The Lair itself was completely erased.

Nothing draconic remained at Baengnokdam.

From far away, users witnessed it all…

With their eyes, ears, and the tremors in the ground.

Kwooooooo

Baengnokdam was devastated.

Not just scarred.

Half of it was utterly crushed.

As if a god from the heavens had swung a colossal hammer upon it.

A massive crater marked the end.

[Birth Event (Ended)]

[Location: Jeju Island, Republic of Korea]

[Main Mission Complete / Hidden Mission Complete]

[Final Contribution Ranking: AbsoluteSafetyFirst 90% / NoReason 10%]

  • Why did it suddenly end? Does anyone know what happened in Jeju?
  • It’s cleared. Word is someone summoned a meteor and finished it in one shot.
  • Meteor summon? What kind of nonsense is that? Contribution says AbsoluteSafetyFirst and NoReason again. Can they summon meteors now?
  • I got a video from a friend. Low quality, but something meteor-like definitely fell. After the explosion, it cleared.
  • At this point, hasn’t AbsoluteSafetyFirst surpassed the Twelve Heaven? His performances are insane.
  • Not sure about surpassing, but we might need to rename them the Thirteen Heaven.
  • I just saw the clip. That’s not fake? What kind of awakened ability lets you do that?
  • Maybe it’s literal ‘magic’? Gates, monsters, and mana exist… why not magic?
  • So, AbsoluteSafetyFirst is a 9th-circle Archmage who learned Meteor Call?
  • Honestly makes sense. His past actions line up if he’s a Grand Mage.
  • What next, martial arts and spirit summoning?
  • It’s not impossible these days…
  • Why does Korea keep getting cursed? Invasion Event, now Birth Event…
  • If a Grand Mage was born there, of course mana attraction theory explains chained events.
  • He’s really going to be labeled Grand Mage now.
  • Even without that theory, the mana attraction theory applies. Someone with that level of magic can draw in greater mana.
  • Forget those old-blood idiots. New events will happen elsewhere, too. Be prepared.
  • So is this all AbsoluteSafetyFirst’s fault?
  • Why are people spouting garbage? He cleared the event.

The community had long since erupted into chaos.

But Seon Yul wasn’t looking at it.

[The ‘Lair’ of the Elite Drake Queen has been destroyed.]

[Unconditional +5 Level applied (Lv45 → Lv50).]

[2 new ‘Stigmata’ points obtained.]

Inside Absolute Space, Seon Yul stared at the result window with a satisfied smile.

He had already gained 2 levels hunting drakes beforehand.

Now, combined with the MVP bonus, he gained 8 more levels.

He arrived in Jeju at Level 40.

Now he was Level 50.

An absurd growth rate.

“Huu…”

He smiled in quiet satisfaction.

Beside him, Cheon Li Yu also stared at the results in shock.

With 10% contribution, she received solid rewards as well.

Though her total reward volume was smaller, her level increase was similar.

“I-is this correct?”

She asked.

“Yes. Good work.”

He nodded with a smile.

“But I only shared vision…”

She felt guilty… as if she had taken his experience and loot.

“If you hadn’t shared your vision, this strategy wouldn’t have worked. The system may be trash, but the contribution calculation is precise.”

He reassured her.

“What you received is exactly your rightful share.”

“…Thank you.”

“I should be thanking you. Oh! Your Grammy Awards ceremony!”

He checked the time in panic.

He had practically kidnapped her, but he knew she had to attend.

“It’s okay. I can contact them and say personal reasons…”

Bzzzt!

“That’s unacceptable. As your fan, I refuse.”

He had already opened an entrance leading back to her hotel room via the steel box.

“…You could go back?”

“That’s why I left the box in your room.”

It was his consideration.

She had helped without conditions.

He owed her courtesy.

“This time, you’ll definitely win.”

After returning her to her hotel in LA, he bid farewell.

“Thank you. And… see you again!”

She said sincerely.

He didn’t answer directly, but somehow felt…

They would inevitably cross paths again.

Her awakened ability was too powerful a ‘cheat’ for him to walk away from.

After parting, he returned to Absolute Space carrying the steel box.

He considered restoring the battle zone to its previous setup, but decided against it.

Too wasteful.

He had already consumed too many mana stones.

31kg for the sphere.

17kg for the 14m Overrun.

5kg for structure changes.

Additional miscellaneous usage.

Nearly 55kg total spent.

Thankfully, the Bureau had provided 100kg.

He even ended up with a surplus.

And from hunting drakes before the Birth Event… over 150 elite plus others, he had earned about 30kg more.

In short…

His intermediate mana stone reserves were higher than before he came to Jeju.

‘And this isn’t even the end.’

He hadn’t even claimed the Birth Event rewards yet.

‘I’ll collect everything together later… Let’s check the level perks first.’

Every 10 levels granted a special perk.

And so far…

They had all been exceptional.

With anticipation swelling in his chest.

Seon Yul opened his status window.
