“The silence is dragging on.”

Susan tapped her arm with her index finger, her arms crossed.

“I thought she would initiate a deal right away.”

Shane rubbed his chin, leaning deep into his chair.

“She’s gauging us. Wondering if we know more… I think she’s intentionally making us anxious with this silence. Since they hold the upper hand for now.”

“She’s smart.”

Shane nodded at Susan’s comment.

“Setting that aside, you made too much of a fuss.”

Susan shot him a glare.

“It seemed like she already knew about me, anyway.”

Shane spoke dejectedly.

The silence continued. He let out a sigh and raised both hands.

It was a gesture of surrender.

“This side is definitely getting more anxious. They say the one who likes more is the one who loses.”

He typed.

[Master?]

[Do you no longer have a need for me? ʅ(。◔︎‸◔︎。)ʃ]

<I’m thinking.>

“She says she’s thinking.”

“This is dangerous.”

He couldn’t afford to be discarded here. Shane threw away his pride and clung to her.

[Please don’t abandon me… أ‿أ]

[If you need it, I’ll obtain more information for you. ಥ﹏ಥ]

Only then did the pink jelly smirk.

<Is that so? You’re a useful Earthling.>

[In that case…]

[Please give me some love too, Master. (。>﹏<。)]

Love? The boy who asked back sharply was scowling deeply across the screen.

<What do you want?>

[Could I stay by your side, Master?]

[Of course, I mean this hamster drone.]

[I thought our distance might be important so I can provide information immediately whenever you need it! ◝(⁰▿⁰)◜]

<Is it not that you want priority access to the vending machine’s next new product?>

[Haha!]

[I suppose it could be seen that way. O(≧∇≦)O]

“Sharp.”

Shane spoke with a hint of a smile.

Susan knew that look. That expression was precisely that. The face of someone who was going crazy because they liked the alien more and more, no matter what it did.

‘Seeing how he makes it so obvious that he likes her, he’ll be the underdog forever.’

He had worn that exact same expression when he launched a massive rocket only for it to fail. It meant he was fully prepared to take as much loss as it took.

Susan shook her head, clicking her tongue.

<30 minutes a day. I’ll give you time to stay here. Other than that, keep the drone turned off.>

[Only 30 minutes?]

<You can’t keep it on for long because of the battery anyway. For a device like this, charging must take quite a while. Is it solar-powered?>

“….”

“….”

Shane and Susan looked at each other, speechless.

<I’m agreeing to this much because I know you’re not a bad Earthling. But be warned, if you show any suspicious signs, this deal is over immediately.>

“It seems she’s certainly no ordinary mutant.”

At Susan’s words, Shane said with a grin,

“Just my type.”

[Understood, Master! I shall simply follow your will.]

<Good. We’ll trade information by putting a price on its value case by case. How about it?>

[Sounds great! ☆゚・:.。.☆†_(゚▽゚)β]

He was thrilled. Susan narrowed her eyes.

Just then, Shane, whose lips had gone completely loose from grinning so much, issued an order.

“Susan. Investigate the Yellow Hazmat Suits. Anything, big or small.”

“Yes, understood, CEO.”

Having received the order, Susan moved briskly.

Even in the midst of that, Shane gazed at the pink alien across the screen as if he couldn’t look away for even a second.

He covered his mouth with his hand, letting out a hollow laugh.

‘A jelly alien actually existed?’

He picked up his phone and searched for <Squishy Squishy! Planetmon!>.

It was a game developed and distributed by ‘Trust Games,’ a subsidiary of ‘Planet Dynamics.’

He had thought it was strange for them to make such an unfitting healing game.

‘As expected, they didn’t make it for no reason.’

The next morning.

In front of everyone, I introduced the new family member I had brought in last night.

“This one is called Shane Heart!”

The hamster raised the tablet to greet them.

[Hello! Nice to meet you! Earthling freeloaders!]

Bora Unnie, who had just woken up, and Captain Gong Juwon, who had just come out after washing up, gaped.

It wasn’t that they were surprised that a hamster was speaking through a tablet…

“…Shane Hart?”

“Surely not that Shane Hart of Revion Biotech?”

It seemed they recognized Shane Hart.

“He really is famous.”

I looked down at the hamster.

[I am indeed a world-class celebrity. ☆٩(。•ω<。)و]

“…Is this for real?”

Captain Gong Juwon looked at me with suspicious eyes.

“It’s true. The CEO of Revion Biotech.”

The air stiffened instantly.

“Did you kidnap him, Jelly-nim?!”

“What do you take me for?!”

Captain Gong Juwon furrowed his brow slightly.

“Calamity…?”

No matter how many times I say I’m an alien, he won’t believe it.

“The talk came up yesterday about needing another informant. So I brought him in.”

The atmosphere turned awkward for a moment.

Captain Gong Juwon scratched his head vigorously, and Bora Unnie lowered her head deeply.

A strange silence flowed between Captain Gong Juwon, whose loyalty was exceptionally strong, and Unnie, who had suspected the government.

“….”

“….”

It was the same when I talked about the Yellow Hazmat Suits belonging to Planet Dynamics.

The two of them were surprised for a moment and then returned to silence.

Rolling my eyes around, I read the room between the two of them.

When I stole a glance at Cha Haeeon, he shook his head. He was telling me not to say anything.

It was at that moment.

“…Um.”

Bora Unnie, who carefully broke the silence, fidgeted with my hand.

Could it be that she’s going to apologize first? I hope so…

I squeezed Unnie’s hand tightly as if giving her strength. Unnie squeezed mine back.

“…I’m sorry. I spoke too hastily yesterday. Captain Gong.”

Captain Gong Juwon, receiving the sudden apology, shook his head rapidly.

“No, not at all!”

“I was agitated yesterday… I’ve been reflecting a lot.”

Bora Unnie bowed her head.

“I’m sorry.”

Captain Gong Juwon, not knowing what to do, waved his arms and said,

“It’s really okay. Um… if it’s alright, would you like to go prepare a meal with me? I’ve laid some eggs.”

“Pardon?”

Bora Unnie gaped at the mention of laying eggs.

‘Ah, he laid them again.’

Seeing how he could say that so nonchalantly, Captain Gong Juwon really was an impressive person.

Just then, the tablet of the flapping hamster lit up.

[Do the Earthlings here lay eggs?]

Mmm. Since I was too lazy to explain, I simply nodded, and an emoticon of Shane trembling was sent back.

I left Shane to his strange misunderstanding.
