Second Half Chapter 50

Author: nicotine

⤷ It’s true the last goal was thanks to Jerim lol. They’re teammates helping each other out, why are you getting so serious about it…

⤷ If you aren’t a fan of the team, please just get out ㅠㅠㅠ This is the Sefton board, Ban Jerim has his own separate board.

✲✲✲

Ban Jerim: My share in Aaron’s goal this time? Maybe about 3%?

Aaron: Not even 30%, just 3%? Try to have a nicer heart.

These guys were doing a comedy routine in the mixed zone lol. It’s good to see.

⤷ Wow, they were fighting like crazy in the first half… I guess the saying that a couple’s fight is like cutting water with a knife is true…

⤷ Aaron’s tone is like he’s picking on him, but why is honey literally dripping from his eyes? Hmmm, suspicious, very suspicious.

⤷ He’s stroking his hair while saying he’ll go bald, but why is he so sweet about it;; This is flustering.

⤷ lol Jerim got huffy and told him not to butt into his interview, so he just shrugged and disappeared lol. Surprisingly, he listens to the captain well?

Edson scored a goal today and Liam ran hard even if he didn’t stack any attack points.

Lehmann looks good every time he comes on as a sub, and Aaron goes without saying… The attack line is all alive + we even have Ban Jerim, are we really going for the Champions League at this rate…!

⤷ Cham…!

⤷ Why can’t you say “Championship victory”?

⤷ If you say it, fans of other teams will rush in to curse us. Mostly from places like Mol-x or Ta-ba-ro-x haha

The Compshire derby against Molden is in October, right?

I’m looking forward to it.

⤷ Don’t look forward to it ㅜ October is a Molden home game so it’ll be tough. We’ll probably register our first league loss there since they’re also undefeated.

⤷ The person above is throwing cold water before we’ve even tried. Looking at your way of speaking, you probably don’t have friends.

⤷ Seeing you ruin the mood, you seem like a fan of another team. Please stay out of Compshire business.

⤷ ⤷ Shit, the dopamine is really rushing, please let me join in.

The winning team takes Compshire.

Let’s just have one side cleanly get lost lol.

⤷ Agree 2.

⤷ Agree 3.

⤷ We should bury Molden.

BREAKING NEWS!!! Jeri and Aaron finally followed each other back.

After 10 years!!!! Finally!!!!!

⤷ They must be freaking hyped because of the comeback lol

⤷ They’re feeling good so “Let’s follow each other now, what was your ID again @tododok…” Are they doing this on the bus? Two grown men?

⤷ Desong-ah, turn on a livestream.

⤷ Jeron couple, don’t fight again and live happily together in Sefton for a hundred years. Please.

After ending up following Aaron home in his car, Jerim dawdled in the passenger seat for a long time. He had agreed to talk after the match because it felt urgent, but he didn’t expect to be dragged away like this immediately… As he sat there without even unbuckling his seatbelt, Aaron, who had gotten out first, tapped on the window.

“Aren’t you getting out?”

Since he personally opened the passenger door, Jerim had no choice but to step out. His body, which hadn’t recovered from the fatigue of running for nearly 100 minutes, screamed that it wanted to lie on a bed right away, but he couldn’t exactly sleep in Aaron’s car. Jerim, stretching lazily, grumbled.

“I’m tired to death. Do you think everyone in the world has stamina like yours?”

“Then I’ll lend you a bed, so listen while lying down if you want.”

“I’ll absolutely pass on that.”

Who knows what kind of trouble they’d get into after being in a closed space together for too long. Something can only be brushed off as a mistake once. Deciding it would be better to end the conversation quickly, take the car he had lent him before, and go home, Jerim quietly entered Aaron’s house.

The interior of the house was neatly decorated, just like the well-organized garage. Jerim, impressed by the cavernous living room and the high ceilings, offered a compliment.

“Nice house.”

“Considering I found it and signed the contract in a hurry.”

Aaron nodded with an indifferent face, as if there were still parts that didn’t satisfy him even in a house like this. Remembering the palatial mansion of his family home back in Tabarona, Jerim turned his compliment into a jab.

“Sure, young master. So what do you have to say? Let’s finish quickly.”

As he sat on the sofa and leaned his back against the plush cushions, his eyes began to blink sleepily. Watching him, Aaron left, saying he’d brew some coffee. Before long, he returned with a steaming cup of hand-drip coffee and a certain document envelope.

After handing the cup to Jerim, Aaron opened the envelope and spilled the contents onto the table. Jerim let out an exclamation when he found an old photograph among them. In the photo, a boy and a girl who looked like absolute angels were smiling lovably.

They were definitely children he didn’t know, but they felt familiar somehow. Especially the features of the small, cute boy. He looked like the photos of Aaron’s youth that were hung all over the Tabarona Youth Training Center… no, they didn’t just look alike; they seemed to be the same person.

Jerim, snatching the photo, looked back and forth between the angel-like boy from a cathedral mural and his future self in shock. He hadn’t even touched the coffee, but he was wide awake now.

“This is you, right? …Why on earth did you grow up to be so hideous…”

“Whatever happened to when you said I looked like a cute little chick?”

“My eyesight and mental state were slightly compromised back then.”

I was completely crazy. After answering haphazardly, he stared at the photo intently again.

He looked about 5 years old. His hair color was slightly lighter back then than it is now. The boy in the photo really did look like a cute chick. As did the girl next to him, who was smiling so brightly he could almost hear the auditory hallucination of her giggling. Jerim pointed at the blonde girl and asked.

“Who’s the girl next to you? She looks familiar… she’s pretty.”

As he tilted his head, wondering where he had seen her, Aaron provided the answer in a sulky voice.

“…If you can call her pretty even after seeing her childhood photo, she really must be your ideal type. That’s Gabi.”

“Huh?”

“Gabriela Delgado. Your former ideal type.”

“Ah, now that you mention it…”

Before dating Aaron, Jerim had gone around for a while talking about how Delgado was his ideal type after seeing a Spanish movie she was in. A girl with a lovely atmosphere, long blonde hair, and gentle-looking eyes. At the time, a teen movie starring Delgado had become a hit in Spain, and for a while, there were few boys who didn’t name her as their ideal type.

He clearly had such a normal and universal ideal type back then, so how did… Jerim, stealing a glance at the face that could be called his current “ideal type,” hung his head like a sick chicken. Instead of the guy he couldn’t banish from his sight, he covered the boy’s face in the photo with his thumb. Then, only the girl identified as Delgado stood out in the photo.

Since he said he had never done anything he couldn’t be proud of, they probably weren’t dating. If they had photos together from this young age, were they childhood friends? Did their parents know each other? Such deductions were just surfacing.

“She’s my sister.”

At those words, which felt like a bolt from the blue, Jerim was so dumbfounded that he accidentally crumpled the photo while looking up to glare at Aaron.

What is this guy suddenly… was this the best he could come up with to make an excuse that he didn’t cheat? Their surnames, looks, and places of origin were all different, and they were the same age, but they were siblings? They definitely weren’t twins. Reading the confused gaze mixed with slight anger, Aaron quickly added.

“Keep listening, please. We have different mothers. That’s why we’re the same age… and as for looks, both she and I take after our mothers’ sides.”

What is he talking about.

He knew that all of Aaron’s other siblings had different mothers. Aaron was the fourth of six siblings; among them, the three siblings above Aaron and the two sisters below him shared the same respective mothers. Only Aaron was alone among the six siblings. Still, at the very least, all six siblings shared the same paternal surname, Reyes. Among the two younger sisters, there was no one named Gabriela, and if his memory served him right, there was a significant age gap between them and Aaron.
