<Episode 50>

[CEO Jeon Ryedo looks handsome again today. The person next to him is a celebrity, and he’s just a regular guy, but based on looks, it feels like the opposite. It makes no sense that someone with that face is just an ordinary person.]

↳ Isn’t this basically company welfare?

 ↳↳ Agreed. Company welfare confirmed.

↳ He really should’ve been a celebrity. It’s such a waste of that face.

↳ Since he came to Korea to run a business, we get to see that face. Imagine if he stayed in the U.S. doing something else… Korea would’ve lost a handsome man. He’s rich and smart, too, so he would’ve succeeded no matter what.

[CEO Jeon Ryedo’s house is seriously clean. His desk is spotless… he must clean a lot. I’ve never seen a man keep his fridge that tidy. And it’s obviously not scripted. The male actor who appeared last time had a total mess of a house, and they aired it as-is.]

↳ You can tell it’s not staged because he cleans immediately after doing something. Drinks water → washes the cup right away. It’s just a habit.

↳ The more I see him, the more he’s my ideal type. Found him… my future husband.

↳↳ Why are there so many rivals? They keep increasing. Let’s calm down.

↳ Impressive. He lives cleaner than I do.

[Spade Joker judging trainees… that’s rare. I always thought of them as kids, but suddenly they feel like seniors. Right, they’re already in their 4th year since their debut. I totally forgot.]

↳ Seriously, they were radiating senior vibes. It felt new but so good.

↳ The way they spoke gently so the trainees wouldn’t feel bad… I fell for them again. Why are they always so cool?

↳ If I had seniors like that, I’d be so happy. The ones around me just get annoyed and don’t teach anything… I just want to smack them.

 ↳↳ LOL reality.

↳↳ Seniors like that are really rare.

[You could really tell how serious Spade Joker is about the stage and how much effort they’ve put in. They pointed out exactly what the trainees lacked and only said what was necessary. And the CEO surprisingly has a good eye too. Did he study after experiencing failure?]

↳ Right!

↳ I thought the same. You could see how hard they’ve worked to create good performances.

↳ Spade Joker is a growth-type idol group.

↳ The CEO was truly a surprise. I thought he had no sense because he used to bring weird songs, but after watching this, that’s not true.

[Urgent. Does anyone know the name of the trainee who was the main vocalist in the last stage of the monthly evaluation? I just had a full-on bias crash. I was watching casually and suddenly found my favorite…]

↳ Same.

↳ No, but seriously, that team was insane. They should debut just like that!

↳ CEO Jeon Ryedo really has a great eye.

[Wait… is it okay to fall for a trainee? There’s nothing to fangirl over. The only things I can see are that less-than-3-minute stage clip and a group shot.]

↳ Sounds like you’re already deep in.

↳ LOL, even without makeup, she looked so pure and pretty.

↳ Her image is so clean and elegant.

 ↳↳ She’d look amazing in a hanbok.

↳ Please debut.

Through the broadcast, not only John Raid Lombardi and Spade Joker, but also the trainees began receiving attention.

[Ramos Entertainment, make a girl group. You can do it. Let’s create a legendary girl group. They’re already complete.]

↳ It’s honestly amazing that the trainees formed a team like that on their own.

↳↳ Their visuals and voices together are insane.

↳ If you don’t debut a girl group, CEO Jeon Ryedo, you’re seriously an idiot.

Exactly as John Raid Lombardi had hoped.

Thanks to yesterday’s broadcast, interest in the trainees had increased.

‘Right. I didn’t expect many people to get into them this way, but I knew it wouldn’t be zero either.’

Because of that, more people were lingering around the company building.

Some of them even tried to secretly take photos of trainees, which was uncomfortable… but unavoidable.

Anything was better than indifference.

To keep the momentum from the broadcast, we uploaded a notice about official doll sales along with the fan meeting announcement.

[Kids Spade]

On the poster, Spade Joker’s official characters were bouncing around on a trampoline.

‘We’re really making full use of the character designs created for the dolls.’

↳ Wow. This is insane. A fan meeting?

↳ My heart is pounding so much… is this normal?

↳ The blessings of Spade Joker never end.

↳ I love you.

↳ Can we see them again in three months? No way. This is amazing.

The fans were delighted.

Of course they would be. What fan wouldn’t be happy about a fan meeting?

↳ The poster is so cute.

↳ Is the concept a kids’ café?

‘The poster reactions are good. Let’s check the doll reactions too.’

I opened SNS and started checking.

[So cute. Even the names are adorable. Maybe because the members drew them? I really love them. Cute. Just cute. I’m buying them all.]

↳ Seriously.

↳ They can’t draw, but they have a great sense. How did they make something this perfectly appealing to us?

↳ The dolls are so cute. Not buying them is basically a crime.

↳↳ I’m definitely buying them. I hope there’s enough stock. If they sell out before I get one, I might not forgive the company.

To be honest, while the designs were based on the members’ drawings, it would be hard to say they contributed much to the actual production.

From the drawings alone, it was impossible to tell what they were trying to express.

Thankfully, they had written explanations, which helped establish a foundation.

‘The designer really worked hard. Even with explanations, turning those drawings into something of that quality couldn’t have been easy.’

It was the same illustrator I had worked with a few times in the 3rd or 4th regression.

Their skills were excellent, and they always met deadlines cleanly, so I kept going back to them.

Anyway, it seemed all urgent matters were wrapped up.

‘The choreography draft is done, so we just need to train them when they return. The music video filming is progressing steadily too, so no issues there.’

After the broadcast, seeing so many posts asking for the trainees to debut as a group confirmed that my judgment wasn’t wrong.

The choreography draft was already out, and practice was going smoothly.

All that remained was to debut them without issues.

‘I can finally rest easy this weekend.’

This time, I firmly decided to spend the entire weekend resting at home.

After working this hard, I deserved at least two days for myself.

Knock knock.

“Sir.”

It was Han Suseok.

But his voice sounded unusually heavy.

“Is something wrong?”

I stood up slightly as I asked.

“Reporter Kim Yerin is here.”

“What?”

“She says she has something she must tell you.”

Even after what happened last time, I couldn’t believe she came again.

‘She’s persistent. Maybe that’s why she’s a reporter.’

I had heard she received a disciplinary suspension after PD Yoo spread word about her incident.

“Let her in.”

“Pardon?”

“Let her in. We’re settling this today.”

“…Understood.”

We had to put an end to this today.

If she kept coming like this, the employees would definitely be uncomfortable.

Knock knock.

Another knock.

“Come in.”

Reporter Kim Yerin entered the office.

“Hello.”

Her face looked more gaunt than the last time I saw her.

She must have gone through some stress.

But I felt no sympathy.

What she did was clearly illegal.

‘If anything, she should be grateful it stopped at suspension.’

“Team Leader Han, you can step out now.”

“Call me if you need anything.”

“Alright.”

Han Suseok slowly left the office.

Judging by the shadow still visible under the door, he hadn’t gone far.

“What brings you here again?”

“I’ve been suspended. Because of what happened.”

“I know. You didn’t come all the way here just to say that, did you? State your business.”

Kim Yerin glared at me.

She was the one in the wrong… why take it out on the victim?

“Do you really want to get sued? I held back because you were already suspended. Why come here and make things difficult for my employees?”

“CEO.”

“Yes.”

“Are you the only righteous one?”

Her voice was filled with anger.

“Is there any reason I wouldn’t be? If you keep this up, I’ll call the police and proceed with legal action.”

At my words, her lips trembled as if she had something to say.

‘Why did she even come here?’

There was nothing for her to gain.

If anything, she was making things worse for herself.

She had worked as a reporter… There was no way she didn’t know that.

‘Did she just lose her mind?’

“Go ahead and speak.”

“On the day Spade Joker missed their schedule, they weren’t sick. I know that!”

Kim Yerin shouted at me.

‘Tch. So that was the “weakness” she claimed to know. No wonder things were going too smoothly.’
