The Outsider Omega Wants to Be Alone! Chapter 16
After looking through several price listings, Lee Yuseong tried to recall what Choi Jigu’s bike looked like. However, to Lee Yuseong’s eyes, this one and that one all looked similar, so he couldn’t tell which was the same model as Choi Jigu’s.
Quickly giving up, Lee Yuseong returned to the anonymous forum. Several more posts about the so-called “Harley Guy” had gone up. Whether Choi Jigu was called Harley Guy or not was none of his business. The problem was that he himself, referred to as the ‘omega’, was included in the comments.
Lee Yuseong had become a celebrity at Hanguk University.
Of course, it probably wasn’t to the extent of Choi Jigu, but it was the first time he had become known to the public like this. Having strangers mention him was a terrifying thing. From the enormous shock, his head felt like it was splitting in half.
‘Please, I just want to live quietly.’
Lee Yuseong closed his phone and lay down on his bed.
This is the Tutankhamun pose. If only he could become a mummy just like this, maybe that would even be a blessed life…
He had assignments to do, but his energy was depleted and his mind was complicated. Was college life originally this hard? His parents and teachers had all told him that everything would be fine once he got into Hanguk University, but the whole world seemed to be scamming him.
Since he had barely slept the night before, even his eyelids were heavy.
‘The assignment topic should be Tutankhamun’s omegas…’
With a bleak sense of fatigue, Lee Yuseong quietly closed his eyes and slowly sank into sleep.

Lee Yuseong was standing in the middle of a flower garden.
Yellow, white, and red flowers swayed gently in the pleasant breeze, greeting Yuseong.
‘I’ve finally arrived in heaven.’
It had been a hard life. It wasn’t a long life, but he had lived diligently enough, as much as anyone else.
Lee Yuseong walked along the narrow path through the flower garden, savoring his freedom. The sunlight was warm, and birdsong could be heard in the distance.
‘Isn’t there an angel or something?’
He was looking around to see if anyone had come to greet him.
Bzzzzzz. A tiny, adorable bee flew toward Lee Yuseong. Startled, Yuseong stepped backward.
Then the bee headed straight for Lee Yuseong’s face.
‘Hello?’
When he looked closely, the bee had a human face attached. It was a face Lee Yuseong knew.
‘Choi Jigu.’
‘You only recognized me now?’
Jigu the bee triumphantly made a bzzzz sound and traced a figure eight.
This guy is even chasing me to heaven now?
Annoyed, Lee Yuseong ignored Jigu the bee and quickened his pace. Then Jigu the bee followed him persistently, trying to talk.
Bzzzzz.
‘Why are you going alone.’
‘…’
Bzzzzzzzz.
‘Do you know the way? You’ll get lost if you go alone.’
Geez, it’s buzzing so much. He was about to tell it to stop following him when another bee flew in from the opposite direction.
‘Our Yuseongie is pretty even in heaven.’
Wooiiiiiiing. A pretty face, a gentle way of speaking, and a soft buzzing. It was Wooju the bee.
This is insane, for real.
At this point, Lee Yuseong realized something was wrong. If the place he arrived after dying was a place like this, even if life was tough, he was better off forcing himself to keep living.
‘Yuseongie, aren’t you going to say hi to hyung?’
Wooiiing.
‘Lee Yuseong. Let’s go together, I said.’
Bzzzzz.
‘D-don’t talk to me!’
Lee Yuseong shouted at the top of his lungs and broke into a sprint. But from somewhere, a sweet scent drifted over. A sugary sweet fragrance that softly stimulated his sense of smell.
As if possessed, Yuseong headed straight toward it. Following Yuseong, who left the flower path and entered the forest, the two bees also charged into the woods. Before long, a magnificent dessert table with flowing honey and chocolate appeared before Yuseong’s eyes.
I guess this is heaven after all.
Bam bam bam bam baaam bam bam bam bam bam baaam bam. Beethoven’s 9th Symphony resounded from somewhere as background music.
Yuseong promptly sat down in front of the name tag that read ‘Lee Yuseong’. The two bees also took their places where ‘Choi Jigu’ and ‘Kim Wooju’ were written. But there was one empty seat left.
‘Huh?’
Vrooooooom. When he raised his head at the tremendous noise, a giant queen bee was descending from the sky as if dancing.
‘Yuseong! I’ll give you a store too!’
It was the owner bee.
‘I-I won’t buy it!’
Horrified, Yuseong sprang up from his seat. It was large, loud, and grotesque. In the midst of this, Yuseong, who had nimbly grabbed a cream bun in his mouth, started running straight back the way he came.
‘Yuseong, you have to take hyung with you.’
Wooiiing.
‘Do you want to ride the bike, Lee Yuseong?’
Bzzzzzzzz.
‘You don’t like a store? Then I’ll give you a country!’
Vrooooooom.
The three bees also chased after Lee Yuseong. By this time, Lee Yuseong was crying. Tears streamed down because he was sick of it and scared.
Why is everyone doing this to me? Please just leave me alone.
I want to be alone!
Please let’s just live quietly!
Thud! Yuseong ended up bumping into someone. As he was about to fall backward from the impact, that person caught him, supporting his waist with perfect timing. A familiar and nostalgic scent came from him.
Looking down at Yuseong, whose eyes had grown round, he laughed lowly. Each time Yuseong blinked, teardrops welled up and fell one by one onto his reddened cheeks. That person, having carefully wiped even those tears away with a finger, whispered quietly.
‘I missed you, Lee Yuseong.’

“Gasp!”
With a thud, Lee Yuseong opened his eyes as he fell backward off the bed. An immense pain shot through the back of his head, and the blanket was messily wrapped around Lee Yuseong’s body.
Having snapped his eyes wide open, Lee Yuseong looked around frantically.
But there was no Jigu the bee, no Wooju the bee, no splendid dessert table, and no terrifying owner bee.
“Crazy, what kind of dream was that?”
Slumping onto the floor, Lee Yuseong covered his face with both hands. He didn’t know when he had fallen asleep, but thanks to that insane nightmare, he didn’t feel like he had slept at all. If anything, he felt more exhausted.
“Ah, I’m exhausted…”
Heaven, my ass. He had clearly been to hell and back.
As Lee Yuseong dragged his tattered body and crawled back onto the bed, the figure who had graced the end of the dream suddenly surfaced in his mind.
‘The scent, and the voice, were familiar.’
But no matter how vividly he tried to recall, as is the case with most dreams, the scent and voice from the dream wouldn’t become clear. Lying flat on his back in the Tutankhamun pose again, Lee Yuseong stared up at the ceiling for a moment, ruminating on the memory.
When that person had caught Lee Yuseong, what Lee Yuseong had felt was an indescribably immense sense of relief. It was as if he had finally arrived at a destination after wandering for a long time. The touch that wiped his tears and the whisper that said he missed him were so tender that Lee Yuseong had almost burst into tears again. Though he had woken up before that could happen.
“…Forget it, never mind. I don’t know what kind of dog dream that was.”
Exhaling a puff of breath, Yuseong turned onto his side. He picked up his phone and unlocked it.
At the same time, a call started coming in. Bzzzzzt.
It was an unknown number.
“That means it’s not Choi Jigu…”
Bothered by the fact that Choi Jigu had sent him a message, Lee Yuseong had asked him how he got his phone number.
Choi Jigu had answered like it was no big deal.
‘Idiot. We have the cohort group chat, you know.’
‘Oh.’
That was it. He had been invited to the cohort group chat. Of course, Lee Yuseong had been so backlogged with group chat messages that he was busy just clearing the glaring red notification count reading ‘300’, but still.
‘Speaking of which, let me see your phone.’
‘Why.’
‘Don’t make a face like you don’t want to. You ate my choco bar earlier.’
‘…’
