Flower Fiancé Chapter 35
Actually, this was a very disadvantageous situation for Ji Yeonwoo. If only he had asked just one question here—Did something happen? Why are you so anxious?—it was a situation where he would have had no choice but to confess everything. But Choi Moohyuk, as if he knew exactly the difficulty Ji Yeonwoo was in, silently stroked only his back and waist, soothing him.
He was grateful to Choi Moohyuk for that, and at the same time, his heart fluttered uncontrollably.
Choi Moohyuk, who had been quietly holding Ji Yeonwoo, tilted his face and buried it in the nape of his neck. Lightly pressing his lips to the pale skin revealed above the angora knit, Choi Moohyuk buried his nose and drew in a breath. At the ticklish sensation brushing against his skin, Ji Yeonwoo flinched and hunched his shoulders.
“Did you wash up?”
Choi Moohyuk grabbed both shoulders and pulled him away from his embrace.
“You smell nice.”
Caging him between his legs, Choi Moohyuk looked him over lightly and touched his still-damp hair.
“You came out without even drying your hair?”
Only then did Ji Yeonwoo realize that after washing up, he hadn’t done anything. He hadn’t applied lotion, hadn’t dried his hair, and had just changed his clothes and come out without thinking. As the thought hit him, he felt heat rush instantly to his face.
“When the Managing Director called, I had just gotten out of the shower.”
“Mm. Were you planning to sleep?”
“I have to sleep. I have to go to work early tomorrow too.”
“But your outfit… “
Choi Moohyuk’s gaze swept over him intensely once more, from head to toe. A subtle smile hung on his face.
“It’s not exactly the outfit of someone about to go to sleep, is it?”
He could figure out at once what that gaze meant. Heat rushed to his face and beyond, making even his ears tingle.
“At the very least, the Mr. Ji Yeonwoo I remember dressed quite comfortably for sleep.”
“I couldn’t possibly come out looking like that to see the Managing Director. So I changed into whatever I could grab and… “
Unable to bear the embarrassment, Ji Yeonwoo finally confessed honestly. From in front of him, he heard the sound of suppressed laughter—kuk kuk.
“Why do you keep laughing? Is it that strange?”
Because he was looking down, he couldn’t see it, but he could picture Choi Moohyuk’s face wearing this kind of smile in his mind. Truly, he wanted to hide if there were even a mouse hole.
“…Alright. I won’t do it next time, so stop teasing.”
Ji Yeonwoo pouted his lips and pushed against Choi Moohyuk’s shoulders. When he stepped back one step, pushed away by Choi Moohyuk who was sitting firmly braced, the hands that had been loosely resting on his waist tightened sharply. Drawn by that touch, Ji Yeonwoo pressed close again between Choi Moohyuk’s legs.
“Did that sound like teasing to you?”
When he hesitated and lifted his head, Choi Moohyuk’s face was right before Ji Yeonwoo’s eyes.
“It’s because I like it.”
Ji Yeonwoo’s gaze, meeting his eyes, shook greatly.
“I am a little worried you might catch a cold, though.”
Looking at Ji Yeonwoo like that, Choi Moohyuk’s gaze languidly swept over him. There were times when Choi Moohyuk would quietly look at him. The Choi Moohyuk he had experienced so far would usually gaze wordlessly with a similar look when he had a lot on his mind.
He had decided to date Choi Moohyuk, but honestly, it was a relationship where there was more they didn’t know about each other than what they did. The pain born from being deceived by calculated kindness still remained inside Ji Yeonwoo. He had thought perhaps he might never be able to like anyone again, but before he knew it, Ji Yeonwoo was confined within the fence that Choi Moohyuk had set up.
Ji Yeonwoo, who had been vacantly receiving that gaze, cupped Choi Moohyuk’s face with both hands and kissed him first. As their lips touched, Choi Moohyuk’s eyes opened wide. Ji Yeonwoo squeezed his eyes shut, afraid their eyes might meet.
With their closed lips pressed together, he quietly held his breath. Being the first to reach out to someone required a great deal of courage for Ji Yeonwoo. But carrying a fluttering heart that exceeded its limit, he simply couldn’t stay still.
Within him, gratitude, sorry, and even greater excitement coexisted.
For some reason, he felt a surge of emotion. During the trivial moments spent facing and being together with Choi Moohyuk, he felt that, without even knowing it, he had come to like him a lot.
Ji Yeonwoo, who had been pressing his lips over Choi Moohyuk’s, gave a short kiss and slowly pulled away. Just as the faint wet sound was spreading at the corners of their lips, Choi Moohyuk, who had been quietly accepting whatever Ji Yeonwoo did, suddenly tilted his face and came closer.
“…Mm!”
It wasn’t a childlike, playful kiss like the one Ji Yeonwoo had done. He slid his hand deep into his hair and pressed his lips to his. As he sucked deeply on his lower lip, Ji Yeonwoo faltered and trembled. Though it was Ji Yeonwoo who had kissed first, he hadn’t expected Choi Moohyuk to respond to this degree.
Sucking on his lower lip, Choi Moohyuk parted his lips and tilted his face the opposite way. To breathe, Choi Moohyuk drew in a breath—heup—and curved his tongue through the widely parted lips, moving rhythmically.
Choi Moohyuk held Ji Yeonwoo tightly without any gap and kissed him almost as if pouring it over him. Clinging as if hanging on, Ji Yeonwoo was barely able to follow what Choi Moohyuk was doing. His breath rose up to his chin. Grabbing his shoulders and pushing him away, Ji Yeonwoo slightly detached their lips and hastily took in the insufficient air. Choi Moohyuk waited briefly for Ji Yeonwoo to catch his breath and then kissed him again.
Though it was a dark night, they shared a deep kiss, having completely forgotten even the fact that it was the parking lot of Ji Yeonwoo’s house.
After persistently fussing over Ji Yeonwoo’s lips as if obsessed for a long while, Choi Moohyuk pressed a short kiss on the lips glistening with saliva and pulled away.
Ha, haa.
Ji Yeonwoo heaved for breath until his chest rose and fell, looking at Choi Moohyuk. Unlike Ji Yeonwoo, Choi Moohyuk showed no sign of being out of breath and silently met Ji Yeonwoo’s eyes.
He had felt it since earlier, but today, Choi Moohyuk’s gaze felt deeper than usual. The look in his eyes was without the slightest disturbance, and he also seemed to have something to say.
The awkward silence gradually pressed down on Ji Yeonwoo’s shoulders. The more he faced Choi Moohyuk’s stiff expression, the more his heart rode a rollercoaster. It was after the heart filled with excitement before the kiss had all vanished. This might have been a misconception only of Ji Yeonwoo, who harbored a secret he hadn’t told, but he had no way to deal with the anxiety that increasingly washed over him.
“But, what brings you here so suddenly?”
Unable to bear the awkward silence, Ji Yeonwoo spoke first.
“By any chance, did you come to see me?”
He knew it was a late question. It was something he should have asked the moment he first saw his face, but somehow the order had been pushed far back. After asking such an obvious question, he regretted saying it for nothing. He was a person who took responsibility for his own words and actions, but strangely, standing before Choi Moohyuk made him feel endlessly small.
“I came to see Mr. Ji Yeonwoo’s face, and I also had something to say.”
Choi Moohyuk, who had been silently listening to Ji Yeonwoo’s words and watching him, opened his mouth only after a long while.
“I’m not planning to say it now.”
It was an answer full of meaningful implication. Curiosity surged about what that thing he had to say was. The Choi Moohyuk he knew was an extremely direct and straightforward person, not someone who would postpone saying something.
“What is it that you… “
“Because it doesn’t seem like the right timing.”
“Ah… “
“For Mr. Ji Yeonwoo as well, and for me too.”
“…”
“I saw your face, so that’s enough.”
While he was lost in thought, Choi Moohyuk’s arm around his waist loosened. Ji Yeonwoo’s eyes, widened in surprise, hurriedly followed.
“Go back in and rest. I’ll contact you again tomorrow.”
Ji Yeonwoo hastily grabbed Choi Moohyuk’s hand as it was pulling away from him.
“Al-already, you’re leaving?”
Choi Moohyuk quietly looked down at his hand caught by Ji Yeonwoo, then pressed firmly—kkuk kkuk—on his coldly frozen fingertips.
“What a regretful face. Looks like an expression of expecting something.”
“It’s not that I’m not regretful, but still… “
“Why, would you like me to stay a little longer?”
At the low-voiced question, Ji Yeonwoo nodded his head without realizing it. Choi Moohyuk, who stroked his cheek that was losing warmth in the cold air, bent down and gently rubbed his reddened earlobe.
“You’re not thinking of keeping me standing out here, I assume.”
