Flower Fiancé Chapter 70
“You know it too. Isn’t that why you’re anxious? You’re anxious, thinking about how long Choi Moohyuk can stay by your side when you don’t emit pheromones.”
“No. That kind of, of thought… ha.”
“Yeonwoo, trait-bearers are bound to act according to pheromones anyway. How many alphas do you think can withstand an omega who releases their pheromones and throws themselves at them?”
“…”
“How long do you think a dominant alpha like Choi Moohyuk will keep someone like you, who doesn’t even have pheromones, by his side? As time passes, you’ll end up abandoned more miserably than when you were with me.”
Ji Yeonwoo clenched his trembling hands into tight fists. He forcibly steadied his wavering heart. He had to keep his wits about him. He thought about why Lee Hyunjoon had come all the way here and was rambling on about Choi Moohyuk.
Even with his eyes shaking, he tried hard to recall the affectionate words Choi Moohyuk had shown him all this while.
He mustn’t crumble. He mustn’t show an opening.
If he crumbled here, all the time he had spent gritting his teeth and living would turn to foam in an instant. He absolutely couldn’t let that happen.
“Don’t talk about Mr. Choi Moohyuk with that mouth of yours. Do you think Mr. Choi Moohyuk is someone like you, sunbae? Whatever work he does, he is a far better person, incomparable to you.”
Seeing Ji Yeonwoo regain his composure, Lee Hyunjoon’s expression began to distort. He looked flustered, as if he had expected that bringing up Choi Moohyuk would make him cry and fall apart like before.
“What do you mean, like me? Yeonwoo, I at least didn’t use violence.”
“Yeah. You didn’t use violence. Instead, you did things more shameless and worse than violence.”
With tears welling at the corners of his eyes, Ji Yeonwoo glared at Lee Hyunjoon. Receiving that gaze, Lee Hyunjoon’s expression slowly began to harden.
“You seem to think I’ll be shaken, but you’ve miscalculated. I trust Mr. Moohyuk.”
“Are you stupid? I’m telling you Choi Moohyuk is leaving you behind and meeting a marriage prospect right now.”
“Even if that were true, there must have been a reason he couldn’t tell me.”
“Hey.”
“Even if, by any chance, I were abandoned by Mr. Moohyuk…”
As he spoke, Ji Yeonwoo felt a surge of tears about to spill over. He sealed his teeth and forced them back, eventually biting down on the flesh inside his mouth and enduring. He swallowed his tears over and over until his Adam’s apple surged, then continued.
“What I’m saying is, even if his heart changes, even if I end up alone because of it, it wouldn’t be worse than every single moment I spent with you, sunbae. Do you understand?”
“Are you serious?”
“Yeah. I’m serious. So I want to stop being entangled with you, sunbae.”
Lee Hyunjoon’s eyebrows twitched and moved as he listened quietly.
“You said you got married. You said you’re living well. Why on earth are you doing this to me.”
“Ha…”
“Please, just get out of my life. Please, I’m begging you.”
Drawing in a hissing breath, Lee Hyunjoon spat out a low curse and turned his gaze to the air.
“Ah, fuck. This just makes me want to get nasty.”
Brushing his hair up while looking at the air, Lee Hyunjoon muttered. When Lee Hyunjoon looked back at Ji Yeonwoo, his eyes were in a state of lost reason.
“I underestimated you way too much. I made the wrong call. If I’d known it would be like this, I should have just kidnapped you from the hospital.”
Hearing those words, Ji Yeonwoo couldn’t manage his expression at all.
“You… tailed me?”
“I thought if we talked at home, things might ease up a little. But I took you too lightly, I did.”
As if his true nature had burst forth, his expression changed completely. Seeing that, Ji Yeonwoo flinched and stepped back, and Lee Hyunjoon seized Ji Yeonwoo’s arm.
“How did you get so firm? Are you really that naive Ji Yeonwoo?”
The moment he reflexively tried to shake off his arm, Lee Hyunjoon pushed Ji Yeonwoo against the wall and pressed his body close. When his half-aroused center touched him, Ji Yeonwoo’s hair stood on end and a chill ran down his spine.
“Mo-move. What do you think you’re doing? Won’t you get away?”
What situation would unfold next played out in his head. Seized by extreme terror, Ji Yeonwoo flailed his hands and feet, trying to push Lee Hyunjoon away. But Lee Hyunjoon grabbed both hands flying toward his face one after the other and pinned them above his head.
When he forced himself closer to kiss him, Ji Yeonwoo clamped his lips shut and turned his head desperately left and right to evade. At that, Lee Hyunjoon moved both arms he had been holding separately into a single hand to bind them, and with his other hand, he grabbed a handful of Ji Yeonwoo’s hair.
“Argh!”
A scream escaped along with the sensation of his scalp being pulled.
“Yeonwoo, you were always prettiest when you cried beneath me. So why…”
Lee Hyunjoon brought his face close while still clutching Ji Yeonwoo’s hair.
“Without even having pheromones, why on earth have you gotten prettier than when you lived with me, driving me crazy. Huh?”
“Ah, h-hic.”
“You should have lived in tears. You should have cried and clung to me. If you’re looking this fair and well-fed, you think I won’t get turned on and lose control?”
“H-hi, hic…”
“Does Choi Moohyuk treat you well? How well does he treat you. Does he hold you every night without even letting you sleep? Then your hole must be all loose by now. I hear you’re living at that bastard’s house these days? Say something! What does he do to you!”
The tears he had held back and held back burst forth. Along with the pain felt from his scalp, an unsightly sob spilled out. Lee Hyunjoon looked straight into Ji Yeonwoo’s eyes and spoke.
“So, why did you have to lose your pheromones and make things such a mess? If only you hadn’t lost your pheromones, I wouldn’t have fallen to rock bottom! I wouldn’t be living disrespected by that bitch of an omega…”
Lee Hyunjoon, who had been spewing words in agitation, flinched and ground his teeth until a grinding sound was heard.
“No, does this make sense? Does it make sense to get pheromone deficiency just from taking some pills? What kind of dominant omega is such a fucking weakling. You forged your trait test results to marry me, didn’t you? The truth is, you were never a dominant omega from the start, were you?”
Having lost his reason and spouting nonsense, Lee Hyunjoon readjusted his grip on Ji Yeonwoo’s arm and turned.
“Forget all that. Let’s go together. Come with me.”
“No. Let go of this. Let go!”
Flustered, Ji Yeonwoo dug his heels in and tried to pull his caught hand free.
“Yelling is useless. I’ve already taken care of that big guy who follows you around like a shadow, and I know the one who brought you has already gone back. On top of that, Choi Moohyuk can’t come because he’s somewhere else. There’s no one here to help you.”
“I won’t go. Even if I die, I won’t go. Let go of this hand! I said let go!”
“I said you’re being loud.”
“He-help me! Save…! Mmph! Mmmpf!”
As he struggled desperately, Lee Hyunjoon clamped his hand over Ji Yeonwoo’s mouth. In Ji Yeonwoo’s line of sight, as he thrashed and resisted with his whole body, a few small flowerpots came into view. He had placed them there when he first moved into this house because the low shoe cabinet, which came up to about his chest, had looked empty.
The moment the flowerpots came into sight, he reached out his hand without a moment’s thought. And he grabbed whatever flowerpot he could touch, swung it, and brought it down on Lee Hyunjoon’s head.
With a dull thwack, the flowerpot that struck Lee Hyunjoon’s head shattered into pieces and scattered.
“Argh!”
Clutching his head, Lee Hyunjoon screamed and swung his arm. Unable to dodge the fist flying toward his face, Ji Yeonwoo was struck and collapsed on the spot.
“Ugh…”
Having fallen into the living room with his legs draped over the entrance, Ji Yeonwoo writhed in pain before scrambling unsteadily to his feet. His jaw was numb, and he could taste a metallic hint of blood in his mouth. It seemed the inside of his mouth or somewhere on his lip had split.
Furrowing his brow at the pain felt on his face, he lifted his head.
“Ha, ah-ow, shit.”
Lee Hyunjoon staggered, clutching his head.
“Wh-what is this. Blood…?”
When he removed his pressing hand, his palm was smeared thickly with blood. Seeing it, Lee Hyunjoon’s eyes flipped over completely.
“You’ve really done it now, pushing and pushing!”
Transformed, Lee Hyunjoon raised his bloodied hand toward Ji Yeonwoo. Thinking he would be hit just like that, Ji Yeonwoo shut his eyes tightly.
That was when it happened.
Boom!
Along with a tremendous roar, the front door shook violently. It was a sound as if someone had kicked it with their foot.
Hearing the sound as if it might break apart, Lee Hyunjoon stopped his movement and looked back at the door.
“What bastard is this…!”
“Open the door.”
“…!”
A deeply suppressed man’s voice flowed into the house.
“Before I break it down and come in.”
