“Ahhh!”

A sharp scream echoed through the room.

The director’s hand was struck by a blue light that was flashing from a child’s hand.

Ciel stood up and took a step back after watching the director frantically rushing, yelling, and slightly flushed.

“Wha– what is this? What the hell have you done to me?”

Still, a blue light sparks from both of my hands.

Caliberne spoke to me while I was gazing down at my dazzling hands, trembling.

[It’s okay. Stay still. Soon they’ll be here.]

‘They?’

The door burst open before I could ask who ‘they‘ Caliberne was talking about.

“You can’t go there–”

Behind the door, a stern assistant teacher’s voice could be heard.

A child with black hair peeked his head out from behind the crumbling wooden door that could break down if you struck it.

The boy who was peering around the room while wearing a black cloak over all of his frame except his legs and toes had crimson eyes.

His ‘red eyes’ were stunning.

It had a hue reminiscent of the midwinter blooms on camellia petals.

“What are you doing–? What are you doing here?”

However, the boy did not give the director a glance.

Instead, he turned to face me after staring at the spark in my hand.

“Are you new here?”

The child remained silent.

I screamed at Caliberne in my head as soon as I noticed the director’s face turning red.

‘Help me, please… That kid who came like this…!’

[It’s okay, they won’t be able to touch him.]

‘What?’

Contrary to Caliberne’s assurance, the director walked up to the boy with a menacing attitude.

The young boy opened his lips and turned to look at the director only after that.

“That kid—”

It was clear, but there were no fixed words in his voice.

“You tried to hurt that kid!”

The director, who was huffing like an angry bull, shouted,

“Ha! You’re behaving haughty and don’t seem terrified of being tossed aside.”

The director appeared to be losing her temper, which caused the child’s countenance to become twisted.

‘No!’

Moisture covered the young eyes that saw the danger.

Just as I was going to sprint over to the kid, I overheard a man shouting in utter rage.

“What are you doing right now?”

A strong young man intercepted the director and asked.

“Who– Who are you? You, what are you doing here…?”

“I came under the orders of the Emperor. I think you’re the one who’s just messing with me.”

The man’s temple was prominently protruding.

That’s not all? The angry muscles of his whole body were making their own assertions so that it was difficult to cover even with his clothes.

“Wow… His Majesty the Emperor? That’s ridiculous—”

“Paul.”

The man who was oblivious heard the child’s voice tugging at the hem of his clothing as if the director’s words were barking like a dog as they were passing by.

“That woman. She’s been harassing that kid.”

The boy pointed at me with his thin fingers. My palm was still spattering with sparks when the man turned his head to look at me and muttered incoherently.

“That magic…!”

The man’s significantly larger brown eyes shrank back to their normal size.

In a calm voice, the man stated after collecting his composure, “Drag her.”

“What?!”

One by one, two chiefs who were stepping out from behind the man’s back grabbed the director’s arm.

“What’s this?! Let go! Let go of me!”

Paul, a man, addressed the struggling director in a calm voice.

“What? You’re not afraid of being thrown away, and you’re acting arrogant?”

The man lifted one eyebrow in contempt.

“Did you think you’d still have your neck intact when you said that in front of His Majesty the Crown Prince?”

My heart sank when I heard those words.

“The Crown Prince?”

Only two of the immediate royal family with dark hair and red eyes appear in the original.

“What…?”

The director glanced at the kid with a gaze that seemed as though she couldn’t believe what had taken place, as her face turned pale.

“His Majesty wouldn’t be pleased for someone like you to touch a nobleman’s body recklessly, a person sought by the Imperial family.”

The eyes of the man who said the words were clearly directed at me.

“You’ll really like it. The order to be hanged or beheaded.”

The man’s face was covered with cold anger.

“What? No- no, no!” the director shouted.

Finally, the man spoke in a cold voice at the director.

“Lebrina Thawin. Arrested for contempt against his Majesty Prince Cedric Deamant.”

When the director heard what he said, he sobbed inconsolably, her face bright red and her neck covered in a pool of blood.

“No! Please, just give me a chance! I didn’t realize that it was His Majesty!”

But nobody paid attention to her. The man approached me and whispered as she was being carried away.

“The Emperor has ordered that you be brought to the Palace.”

I listened to his voice blankly. But my head was filled with the name of ‘Cedric Deamant.’

Cedric Deamant.

It was the name of the tyrant who instigated a fatal battle against the heroine who took over Caliberne in the first novel.

“Pardon me.”

I raised my head to see a set of bright camellia eyes staring at me.

Similar to the hue of human blood.

But because it was pristine, the hue looked to be more like the color of the petals than the blood.

“Please come with me.”

The future tyrant spoke in a clear, unwavering voice.

⚔️

The men who had come under the command of the Emperor took me to the Imperial Palace and made me meet the Emperor out of nowhere.

I thought I shouldn’t go as I should never get involved with the future tyrant, but there was nothing I could do about it because it was the Emperor’s order.

The slender-muscled warriors of the Emperor gave out the vibe that ‘if you don’t do as I say, I’ll tear you up’ and it appeared as though could handle anything without knowing whether it was a rodent or a bird.

I still lacked a weapon even now, but those who could absorb ‘Caliberne’ would have exceptional sword abilities.

Without a sword, I couldn’t use my strong abilities enough to protect myself.

I was forced to follow the Crown Prince as he extended his hand to touch mine.

Eventually, I got on the carriage to the Imperial Palace.

And here I was going through the biggest crisis of my life.

“Hold it,” said the man, whose ebony-black hair was pulled back in a single thread.

Coolly glowing red eyes that appeared to be covered in blood that was splattered around the battlefield.

He was worthy of the name, called the Emperor of the Empire.

“Your Majesty, however…”

“Was there any problem?”

The eyes blazed red. He was given notice that there was a problem. He appeared as though he was about to be imprisoned.

In addition, I am left feeling oppressed by the hard gazes of the three servants who stand next to the Emperor.

“Well, I don’t think so, but…”

‘To hold hands with someone you are newly acquainted with today.’

Yes. That’s true.

It was Cedric’s hand I was holding, which I didn’t want to get involved with.

“I…”

Standing still, the boy with black hair paused before offering his hand.

The official’s stinging gaze united as they continued to ogle the spectacle.

The absence of calluses made the hands that hadn’t yet developed soft.

It was still bigger than my hand, though.

‘What am I doing?’

We clasped our hands firmly and turned our heads the other way, laughing at how awkward we were because it was our first encounter.

What’s this, I’m not an elementary school kid who got in trouble for making up after a fight and spending an hour holding hands with each other.

“Your Majesty.”

One of the servants who had been silent up until that point started speaking.

“The sword of the Crown Prince’s was shining.”

The boy’s left hand held a sword that was emitting red light similarly.

Seeing it, the Emperor swung his hand and said, “Yes, it’s working. I’m done checking.”

He then opened his mouth in an audible whisper while holding both hands tightly together.

“Did you say your name was Ciel? I hope you can teach the Crown Prince how to control the magic in the future.”

“Yes?”

“And I want you to hold his hand regularly after class.”

‘Wait, what did I just hear?’

“At least ten minutes a day, hold the Crown Prince’s hand.”

My pulse raced as I heard those words.
