Yihyeon, who remained inside Joohyuk’s car, could not overcome the frustration and came out. It felt good to feel the cool night air caressing his chest.
He turned around and looked up at the mansion. The gigantic mansion, which deserved the proper expression of majestic, looked somewhat desolate even though it was clearly well-maintained. There were many bodyguards and attendants, which was strange.
Just when he was looking up at the mansion, he heard a sound from the front door and turned his head. A car slid in through the gates. The car approached the outdoor parking lot where Yihyeon was. The black luxury foreign car was parked right next to Joohyuk’s car.
It was a man with an attractive smile who got out of the driver’s seat. Just by looking at the way he was dressed in a luxurious light gray three-piece suit and the luxurious car he drove, he could guess that he was not just an office worker.
As soon as their eyes met, Yihyeon recognized that he was Lee Haejun, the third and youngest member of the Shinwoo group. The personal information of the Shinwoo group and most of the executives was already in Yihyeon’s mind in detail.
Haejun noticed Yihyeon standing near Joohyuk’s car and his eyes flashed.
“I haven’t seen you, but who are you?”
Standing close to Joohyuk’s car, he could guess it, but he still asked. Yihyeon bowed and replied.
“I am Lee Joohyuk’s bodyguard.”
At the brief introduction, Haejun, who thought Yihyeon was just a simple driver, looked at Yihyeon up and down. Without avoiding the blatant gaze, he took one step closer.
“Excuse me for a moment.”
Haejun, who came closer, suddenly took his face to the nape of Yihyeon’s neck. Then he took a deep breath. The only thing that he could smell was the fresh night air and a calm body odor.
In an instant, Yihyeon felt the sudden change in the surrounding air. Haejun’s unique alpha pheromone, which was only subtle, grew in size at once, but began to surround him as if he was about to attack.
The pleasant scent of flowers tickled the tip of his nose and wrapped around his body. It was a scent that seemed to make his head hazy if he relaxed for a moment. He kept thinking that he wanted to give up his whole body to this pleasant pheromone scent. If he was an ordinary omega, it’s unlikely that he’ll fall all over him.
‘If any omega… I mean.’
Yihyeon was calm as if he couldn’t feel anything. The scent of pheromone was trying to invade his head, but he kept his composure by blocking it lightly.
Soon, the huge alpha pheromone disappeared. All that was left was the gentleness of when he first met Haejun.
Haejun looked at him and smiled.
“Sorry. Because you are so beautiful, I wondered if Joohyuk hyung was finally meeting an Omega.”
Even Yihyeon knew that all three sons of Shinwoo Group Chairman Lee Jungho were Alpha. Among them, Lee Haejun was particularly famous for liking Omegas, but there was a rumor that once he saw an Omega, he would spend the night with them at any cost. It wasn’t a very good rumor, but he was also known for being resourceful enough to offset it.
Haejun’s eyes narrowed and the corners of his eyes curled.
“It’s a shame.”
Haejun muttered briefly and tapped Yihyeon’s shoulder.
“Go be careful. If there is any danger, you can just run away.”
“What do you mean?”
When Yihyeon asked but Haejun only laughed.
“Engrave it. Because I like your face, so I’m giving you advice on purpose.”
With that said, Haejun turned around and walked away. He looked behind Yihyeon, waving his hand slightly.
“I hope to see you again.”
Leaving those words behind, Haejun strode into the mansion.
It’s still hard to guess what Haejun meant, but he didn’t mean to heed his warning. Because there was something to warn him at this time.
While he was repeating Haejun’s warning, Joohyuk left the mansion. There was a deep anger on his face.
Yihyeon, who quickly opened the back seat door for Joohyuk, got on the driver’s seat as soon as he got on board.
“I’m going home right away.”
“Yes, Manager.”
There was also annoyance in his voice. However, he couldn’t ask what had happened. He can only guess that he had a difficult conversation with his family.
Yihyeon drove out of the mansion and checked Joohyuk’s condition through the mirror.
It was kind of a habit. He knows that he was a healthy person with no pain anywhere, but even if his mood changes even a little, he will notice everything from his complexion to his eyes.
He asked Joohyuk, who was staring out the window, looking in the mirror.
“Are you okay?”
Joohyuk responded more harshly and coldly than usual to the question that he was asked without knowing.
“Just shut up and drive.”
Even though he knew those words would come back, he had no choice but to ask. Yihyeon silently held the steering wheel and fixed his gaze only on the front in order not to look in the rearview mirror as much as possible. He was afraid to ask again.
While driving on a quiet road, Yihyeon discovered a strange situation. As a result of looking through the side mirror, as many as three vehicles were following behind. Same model, same color. Even the tint was so dark that he couldn’t see in properly.
Yihyeon sensed that three cars were aiming for his side, and only then looked at Joohyuk through the rearview mirror.
“There are cars following them. What should I do?”
At Yihyeon’s words, Joohyuk’s eyes darkened as he looked at him.
“How many?”
“About three.”
Joohyuk frowned and looked out the window again.
“Can you handle it?”
He checked the road condition. If there were many cars, they could get stuck and fall, but on a quiet road like now, it was better.
“I think it would be better to go face to face.”
“Then do that.”
Joohyuk answered indifferently.
Yihyeon glanced at the cars behind him through the side mirror and immediately accelerated. Again, the three cars sped up and caught up.
He didn’t know how many people were riding, but if he wanted to face them, it was better to go to a place where there were no people at all. Joohyuk becomes annoyed if the public sees it and reports it or even takes a photo.
The car in which Yihyeon and Joohyuk were riding moved at a high speed, and three cars ran behind them like leeches. Eventually, when he reached a quiet roadside, Yihyeon turned the car and stopped the car so that the right side where Joo Hyuk was sitting turned toward the guard rail. It was so close that it almost touched the guardrail, so Joohyuk couldn’t open the door, and no one could get in there.
When he stopped the car, three cars stopped and surrounded them, and people started to get off one by one. Yihyeon, who got off the driver’s seat, turned his back to protect the vehicle and looked around carefully at those surrounding him.
Seven men in black suits.
Just because they were wearing suits, it made them look like they were good white-collar workers, and all the objects in their hands did not suit them. There were some people with knives because they didn’t have enough iron pipe.
Although Yihyeon was surrounded by seven men, he was not at all frightened. He looked as peaceful as someone who came out to see the moon at night.
Yihyeon asked while looking around at the men with a harsh tone.
“What’s the deal?”
At the question, a man smiled and stepped forward. It looked like he was the leader of this group.
“I have something to talk to the person inside, so tell him to get out. I won’t kill him.”
What can a person with a wicked thing in his hand have to say?
“I’m sorry, but I think you should talk to me.”
At those confident words, the men began to move forward one by one. Yihyeon, who was reflected in their eyes, was a very different kind of person except that they wore the same black suit. He looked infinitely fragile, as if he could break a bone if he mishandled his arm once. It was funny to see someone who seems to need protection from someone else acting like a bodyguard to protect Joohyuk.
The man, who was the head of the team, came close, tapping an iron pipe on his shoulder. As he approached, he looked at Yihyeon, his eyes shining. In his view, Yihyeon was a young man who did not fit this situation at all.
“Don’t talk and step aside. If you don’t want scratches on your pretty face…!”
Puck!
It all happened in the blink of an eye. As Yihyeon’s fist hit the man’s chin, his head was tilted back and he staggered. Then, with both hands clasped, he turned around and struck the man’s chin with his elbow at once.
The man groaned and stepped back. Yihyeon, who quickly dug into the man’s arms, slashed his wrist which was holding the iron pipe like a knife. The moment the man’s wrist bone was broken, he lost his strength and let go of the iron pipe, Yihyeon snatched it and swung it away.
“Huh!”
The sound of something breaking was heard, and the man who had been shaken by Yihyeon’s attack was hit on the side by an iron pipe and he fell to the floor. He had both hands on his side and he couldn’t breathe properly.
The men widened their eyes at what had happened in an instant. Yihyeon looked around them and picked up the iron pipe. He didn’t like using weapons, but since there were so many opponents, he had no choice but to deal with them quickly.
“I’m a little busy, so would you mind rushing in as soon as possible?”
Joohyuk was feeling uncomfortable, so he wanted to take him home as soon as possible. The men who did not know Yihyeon’s true intentions rushed towards him one by one with hardened faces that had been smiling so far.
Despite the obvious difference in physique, Yihyeon looked at the men who rushed to him with indifferent eyes.
Yihyeon jumped into the man who rushed first and kicked him in the face. Then he swung the iron pipe towards the man’s staggering knee. He screamed and fell to his knees.
Yihyeon skillfully dodged the knife, which suddenly swung toward his face, and then immediately crouched slightly and put both hands on the floor. In that state, he tripped over a massive man wielding a knife at him. As soon as he fell to the floor, he slammed his elbow down the wrist holding the knife.
“Ouch-!”
A loud scream erupted from the man’s mouth, and as expected, his hand holding the knife lost strength. Yihyeon picked up the knife and stabbed it in the thigh of another person who was rushing from the side, and while the person hesitated, he pulled it out and mercilessly shoved it into the other thigh. As the man knelt on the floor screaming, he smashed his fists in the face, knocked him down, and immediately turned around.
Yihyeon, who was noticing the presence of another man who was about to hit him, easily avoided it just by leaning over. With the recoil, he raised his body and punched him, and the man who was hit in the face fell backwards with a nosebleed.
Yihyeon pulled out the knife that had been lodged in another man’s thigh swiftly, and put it in the shoulder of the other man who rushed at him, leaving his scream behind.
“Ugh!”
The knife pierced his shoulder. Lee Hyun took the iron pipe he was holding in his hand for an attack and swung it towards his stomach. A tall man standing behind him attacked his body, and Yihyeon jumped a bit and landed a cool back kick to his face. The tall man fell to the floor with the man who was supporting him at the kick that went in so well that his brain rang.
Yihyeon put a steel pipe down on the left shoulder of the tall man who was about to get up again. At that, the man’s scream broke out with a groaning sound.
Seven men were rolling on the floor around Yihyeon, with a steel pipe in his hand, holding his breath.
Joohyuk, who was smoking a cigarette with the window slightly open in the car, quickly recognized the skill of Yihyeon as he saw the situation outside. He was also willing to step forward if there was any danger, but, as expected, he alone was enough.
Yihyeon picked up the weapons that had fallen on the floor and threw them one by one out of the guardrail, approached the car and knocked on the back seat door. As Joohyuk lowered the window slightly, Yihyeon asked in a voice without any disturbance.
“Shall we head back?”
“It’s done. After all, they are hired bastards.”
Joohyuk, who rubbed an almost finished cigarette into the ashtray of the console box, blinked as if asking him to get into the driver’s seat and raised the window.
Yihyeon in the driver’s seat immediately moved the vehicle and left the place. Looking at the people still lying on the floor through the side mirror, he suddenly remembered Haejun who he met at the mansion.
“Be careful. If there is any danger, you can just run away.”
“Engrave it. Because I like your face, I’m giving you advice on purpose.”
Did Lee Haejun mean this?

“Well, I didn’t expect it. That’s enough.”
After hanging up on the phone, Sihoon let out a short click on his tongue. Haejun, who was leisurely drinking coffee in his room, shrugged when Sihoon finished the call and sat down.
“I don’t think there was even a warning.”
Sihoon frowned and took a sip of his portion of coffee. The bitter yet fragrant aroma of coffee filled his mouth.
“I think the bodyguard is pretty good.”
“The bodyguard?”
Haejun tilted his head.
“Didn’t Joohyuk hyung overpower him?”
It is Joohyuk, who has trained his body from an early age because he has often suffered life-threatening and kidnapping events since he was young. Of course, he thought he would have beaten him up face-to-face.
Sihoon looked down at the black coffee with hot steam and said insignificantly.
“It looks like the bodyguard driving the car attacked them. Joohyuk didn’t even get out of the car.”
Haejun rolled his eyes.
“Were there just the two of them?”
“Then who else is there?”
When Sihoon raised his eyes and looked at Haejun, he tilted his head as if he knew something and wondered.
“He didn’t look that strong…”
“A bodyguard? Did you see him yourself?”
Haejun nodded and took a sip of his coffee. Suddenly, the bitter black coffee that was too dark and the deep eyes of the man who came as Joohyuk’s driver overlapped.
“It was my taste.”
Sihoon’s eyes lit up at Haejun’s words. He rested his elbows on the table, shrugged his chin, and grinned.
“If it’s my younger brother’s taste, I think he’s quite a beauty.”
Sihoon knew how high Haejun’s taste were. So his partner’s were usually Omegas, whose beauty stood out more than Alpha or Beta. The problem was that once he held them in his arms, he immediately got tired of them and never saw them again.
“I thought he was a driver or a secretary, but he was a good bodyguard. It’s attractive.”
Haejun, who had been smiling while saying that, suddenly blinked as if he had remembered something.
“Come to think of it, haven’t there been frequent reports of failures because of bodyguards?”
Sihoon, who immediately recognized what he meant by ‘failure’, raised a question.
“Are they all that person?”
Sihoon smiled and took another sip of his coffee. The smell was stronger than when he first drank it.
“Whether it’s him or not, if he gets in the way, our choices are the same.”
Haejun also smiled following Sihoon.
To subdue, or to remove.
The smiles of two people who thought the same thing were terrifyingly similar.

Bzz…
Another vibration was heard.
It has been a few months, he got frequent calls from unfamiliar numbers. He received it every time because he thought it could be a business related to the company, but in most cases, the other party was a person who was not related to him.
Late at night, because of the constant vibrations, he let out a sigh. After contemplating for a while, Yihyeon finally answered the phone.
“This is Kwon Yihyeon.”
– Are you the bodyguard for Shinwoo Construction Executive Director Lee Joohyuk?
The fact that he knew he was a bodyguard and contacted him makes him sigh. If they asked if he was a secretary, there was a high probability that it was a person related to work, but if they only knew that he was a bodyguard and contacted him, he would have known what to say. If it was a company call, they won’t suddenly contact late at night after finding out the contact information of a bodyguard.
“Who are you?”
When he asked coldly, they brought out the business they had prepared.
– Double your current salary…
It’s still the same.
“I have no interest.”
He cut the other person’s words and clicked the end call button. As usual, the number was blocked.
These recent contacts are approached with the same reason, as if they had prepared it beforehand. If they present a generous amount of money, they thought he will be interested.
They want one thing. ‘I’ll give you a higher salary, so quit being Joohyuk’s bodyguard and come over.’
‘I’m not interested in protecting others.’
Because Lee Joohyuk…he was protecting him because he was Joohyuk.
It is not the first time that the things he did to protect Joohyuk reached the ears of people in other companies. In their view, the skillful bodyguard who protected his owner by throwing himself was quite a hot topic.
Those who contacted him did not know how much Yihyeon earns. On such a topic, they say twice or three times blindly. If he revealed his annual salary and asked if they can really give that many times, even those with a lot of money will hesitate.
