I Tamed the Slave Male Lead Chapter 47
Hearing the confidence in Yusiliph’s voice, Ririen’s expression finally brightened a little. However, the decision clearly wasn’t an easy one, and she hesitated, unable to bring herself to leave right away.
“Is it really okay to leave the two of you here alone…?”
She agonized over it for a while, but since there was no other option, she eventually pulled herself together and stood up.
“Then I’ll explain the situation to Father and keep the labyrinth entrance open for as long as possible. I won’t let them close it under any circumstances until you two return, so please make sure she recovers and bring her back.”
Yusiliph held out the pouch of fermented fruit Arabella had collected.
“Take this with you. And collect as much more fermented fruit as you can along the way. Now that the boss is dead, this island will rapidly fall into ruin before long. We may have trouble finding these fruits again.”
Accepting the pouch, Ririen made one final plea.
“Please take good care of Arabella. You absolutely must come back together. Both of you.”
Yusiliph nodded.
She hesitantly added one more thing.
“Um, and… I won’t tell Father that you said you could treat Arabella. I think… that must be an important secret of yours.”
“……”
He didn’t answer, but she took his silence as confirmation.
“Please take care of her!”
Even as Ririen headed toward the suspension bridge, she kept turning back to look at them.
Meanwhile, the moment Ririen disappeared from sight, Yusiliph hurriedly picked up his dagger. He was about to cut his own arm when he suddenly looked around and clicked his tongue.
“This won’t do.”
The withering bloodsucking flowers were watching them, radiating a menacing aura. If he drew blood here, it would undoubtedly cause trouble.
He quickly stood up, carrying Arabella in his arms.
To return to the castle of giant bats, he would have to cross the suspension bridge. But fighting the imps while carrying Arabella, who couldn’t even support her own body, was out of the question.
Instead, he crossed over to another floating island adjacent to the garden. The moment he set foot on it, he felt an inexplicable, ominous energy pressing down on his body.
After walking for what felt like an eternity over damp rocks and through blue mist, he finally came upon a cave that looked rather cozy.
“This place will do.”
Inside the mist-shrouded cave, he spread out some straw and laid Arabella down. She had been groaning in pain throughout the journey, and the moment he set her down, she began coughing so violently that she seemed unable to breathe.
“Cough, cough!”
But after coughing several times, he noticed blood around her mouth.
‘Don’t tell me… she’s coughing up blood, too?’
Yusiliph’s expression grew grave. The journey through the labyrinth and having her blood sucked by Ririen must have placed an enormous strain on Arabella’s terminally ill body. And hadn’t she also said earlier that she couldn’t see after hitting her head?
His handsome face darkened with concern. Growing impatient, he quickly rolled up his sleeve and pressed his dagger against his forearm. But just before the blade pierced his skin, he suddenly stopped.
‘I told you not to treat me whenever you feel like it!’
‘Do you think I’m a joke? Is it fun to ignore everything I say and do whatever you want?’
He remembered Arabella’s tearful face as she had angrily confronted him.
She had sternly warned him never to draw his blood to treat her without permission again.
“Ugh, cough, hack!”
But when he saw Arabella coughing repeatedly, blood spilling from the corners of her mouth, his hesitation quickly vanished.
Swish.
He pressed the red blood flowing from his own skin against the back of Arabella’s head. He felt the wound she had sustained when she hit the rock slowly close.
Next, he brought his arm to her mouth, but she was coughing so violently that he couldn’t get her to drink any blood.
Cough!
When Arabella’s body jerked violently and a gush of blood burst from her mouth, Yusiliph shot to his feet. His heart tightened so painfully that it felt as though it might burst at any moment, as if she were about to die right before his eyes.
Thump, thump.
After hesitating for a moment, he knelt in front of Arabella, who was twisting and writhing in agony, adopting a posture almost like someone offering a solemn prayer.
Gently pressing her body down to help her calm down, he carefully tore the fabric around the thigh where Ririen had bitten her earlier.
Riiip.
As he peeled back the blood-soaked cloth, her snow-white skin came into view, along with two holes filled with blood. Without hesitation, he bent down and lowered his face toward the wounds.
Lick. Suck.
He licked and sucked at the wounds very carefully. Each time his tongue brushed against them, Arabella whimpered as though in pain, yet she remained still, letting him do as he pleased.
Meanwhile, her coughing gradually subsided. Even after the two fang marks had completely closed, he continued licking her soft skin for a long while.
His movements were tender and devoted, like a mother cat grooming her kitten.
Suck. Lick.
But in his single-minded focus on Arabella’s condition, Yusiliph failed to notice something: they weren’t alone in the cave.
Glimmer. Glimmer.
Hundreds of eyes belonging to incubi had been watching them with keen interest ever since they entered the cave, without moving a muscle.
<What an entertaining spectacle. It’s been a hundred years since I last saw anything like this.>
The queen of the incubi murmured softly. As her words were transmitted telepathically, the incubi writhed and twisted, letting out moans of excitement.
Meanwhile, Yusiliph remained completely unaware of their presence, entirely absorbed in treating Arabella.
After confirming that her wounds had healed completely, he straightened up and placed a hand on her forehead.
‘Why hasn’t her fever gone down?’
His eyes wavered. Arabella was clearly in better condition than before, but she still flinched as though in pain and let out occasional moans.
“Don’t tell me… the vampiric transformation is progressing?”
Yusiliph shuddered as the thought suddenly occurred to him.
When Ririen had bitten him at the academy, she hadn’t sucked his blood, and he had administered emergency treatment immediately. This time, however, Arabella had lost a considerable amount of blood. Moreover, he had delayed treating her because he didn’t want Ririen to discover his regenerative ability. That decision now seemed to have been a fatal mistake.
‘I should have treated her immediately.’
For a moment, he hated himself so much that he wanted to kill himself.
‘You fool. What did it matter if she found out about your regeneration?’
Overcome with anger and regret, he slammed his fist into the cave wall.
BANG!
His punch left a deep dent in the hard rock. His fist was injured, of course, but the wound healed without leaving a trace almost immediately.
“…Ugh… ngh.”
As if to confirm that her transformation into a vampire was indeed progressing, Arabella’s face began to grow hot again.
For someone who was already terminally ill, the process must have been agonizing.
Looking down at her flushed face, flushed with fever, he finally made up his mind. His face lowered toward hers once more. This time, however, he wasn’t aiming for her thigh, but for her delicate lips.
“……”
Just before their lips touched, he spoke as though making a promise to himself.
“This is solely for the sake of treating you as quickly as possible. I swear I have no other intentions.”
Kiss.
Their lips met.
Startled by the unexpected softness, Yusiliph flinched before slowly parting his lips and brushing his tongue over her small mouth.
“Mm…”
Arabella moaned and parted her lips slightly. Yusiliph cautiously slipped inside, meeting the warm breath and clear exhalations that escaped her mouth.
Her feverish mouth was hot, astonishingly soft and yielding. The moment their tongues touched, the sensation of their different body temperatures intertwining sent a shiver of thrilling electricity through him.
‘I’m going insane.’
Yusiliph groaned inwardly.
He could feel his heart racing uncontrollably and his body growing hotter. The heaviness in his lower body had begun long ago.
‘No other intentions? What a load of crap.’
He cursed himself, but he still couldn’t stop. It was true that his actions had become tainted by impure desires, but at the same time, there was no denying that this was also a way to save her life.
‘So soft. How can a human body be this soft and pliant?’
As he continued kissing her, he even began to feel a kind of fear. The dizzying sensation was like tumbling into an abyss, so overwhelming that he could barely breathe. Yet he couldn’t pull away. Nor did he want to.
Meanwhile, as Yusiliph continued kissing her with such caution, burdened by all his inner turmoil, incubi crowded around them in droves.
But because they had made their bodies transparent and were communicating telepathically, Yusiliph still hadn’t noticed them.
<Isn’t he being a little too careful?>
<I think this is their first time.>
<For a first time, though, they have an incredible amount of energy.>
<Right? It’s been ages since I’ve felt life essence this intoxicating. I’m getting so excited.>
That was more or less the gist of their conversation.
There was a reason the wicked incubi were still watching instead of interfering and causing trouble.
Although the man and woman weren’t doing anything beyond kissing, an astonishingly intense and concentrated sexual energy was surging from their bodies, enough to leave the incubi themselves amazed.
<What are these two? They’re clearly both virgins, so how can they be this physically intimate?>
<Unless they’re lovesick and spend every night dreaming of devouring each other…>
<Even so, this level of intimacy makes no sense.>
At that moment, the queen, who had been silently watching their intimate exchange, finally spoke.
<We can’t simply watch such a delicacy and enjoy it from a distance. I’ll go in myself.>
