BJ Villainess Chapter 199

Author: alyalia

Shamelessly, I found comfort in Ilya’s embrace, being tenderly consoled. He tirelessly soothed me endlessly, taking pleasure in my weakness as if his words about enjoying it were true.

Ding!

[Ilya doesn’t seem to do much, but somehow it feels risqué.]

Well… It wasn’t entirely pure actions. He occasionally placed his lips randomly, satisfying his own desires.

After sobbing, I found myself freshly washed, changed into new clothes, and lying in bed under the lamplight. With puffy eyes, I asked Ilya, “How did you come here?”

Ilya answered, “You seemed to deliberately avoid crossing paths with Marquis Vallensia.”

…Why is he so quick-witted?

While I was flustered, he suddenly fiddled with a ruby ring. “Did Marquis Vallensia give this to you?”

How did he know?

“The thread bracelet is from your sister, and the brooch is just an inventory item you wear. You don’t usually wear jewelry.”

The ring was reluctantly worn because of a quest, but I felt strangely annoyed.

“You can wear rings from other men. I can accept anything except for you leaving my side.”

“…”

“I keep having bad thoughts.”

“What thoughts?”

“That you might run away somewhere.”

His words made me flinch. I had indeed been planning to escape to paradise.

I spoke in a smaller voice, “I have nowhere else to go, anyway.”

“That’s uncertain. You might go back to the world you lived in.”

Such worries were truly unfounded.

“I’ll never go back there.”

Today, seeing the magical animals made me realize now that I had become happy here. Despite being plunged into despair or facing continuous great trials, this was the first time I was loved so completely. The people here always lifted me up whenever I felt like falling. They gave me courage.

Taking a deep breath, I looked directly at Ilya. “Do you remember Clyde?”

“…Clyde? Is he the man you’re supposed to meet after the Marquis Vallensia?”

As expected, Ilya didn’t remember Clyde. I felt both sorry and more determined to find Clyde.

“I’ll find him for you.”

Your only family.

“So, please wait a bit longer.”

Ilya slowly grasped his chest where his heart was. “I don’t understand what you’re saying, but it strangely feels like the perfect proposal.”

He moved closer as if to engulf me and belatedly asked for permission. “May I kiss you?”

His slightly distorted face looked as if it was crying from an indescribable sense of loss, making it impossible for me not to consent. As I closed my eyes, he melted me thoroughly, hotter than summer heat.

Exhausted, Ilya pressed his forehead against Theresa’s embrace, barely holding back his nature. It was terribly difficult to regain his reason after indulging his desires to a non-hateful extent. Could there be any being capable of remaining calm with such a lovely creature before them?

He scanned Theresa’s face with a gaze filled with unvented heat. “Do you have any idea what I could do while you’re sleeping so obliviously?”

He didn’t know who this Clyde she mentioned was, but Ilya instinctively felt it was related to him. He also discerned it as a weakness that could make Theresa utterly vulnerable. Nothing is more stupid than showing weakness to the demon.

Facing her trustingly loving eyes, he felt peculiarly powerless, almost flinching as if he were about to devour her entirely.

It seems this Clyde fellow is the cause of her instability. Perhaps one of Theresa’s creations. Otherwise, it made no sense for her to be so shaken.

Ilya silently repeated the unfamiliar name in his head. Clyde. Clyde. Clyde.

“Clyde.”

Why does whispering his name evoke such an emptiness? If there were questions, the only thing to do was uncover the truth.

Carefully not to wake Theresa, Ilya left the bed, kissed her forehead, and left the lab. The world seemed overwhelmingly blue as if the night had suddenly shortened. In it, a lone wolf with golden magic fluttering around it seemed to be waiting for Ilya as it looked at him stepping out.

Magical animals, being natural enemies of demons, should have threatened him on sight. But this wolf did not.

“Aren’t you afraid of me?”

The wolf snorted in amusement. “Grrr.”

Why should I be?

“Because you can sense the demon in me.”

Well, how about you take a look at your soul?

Ilya reflexively checked his condition and was shocked to grasp the area around his heart. “…!”

The demon’s brand that had been stamped on his soul was gone.

When did it disappear? The incident had occurred without his notice, filling his mind with questions. Was it even possible for a fallen being to return to its original state?

Did Theresa do something?

No, it wasn’t Theresa’s power. This was an abnormal retrograde phenomenon.

Ilya created a mirror in the air to check his appearance. Black hair flowing with a bright green hue without a trace of red, and white wings…

“Why had I fallen in the first place?”

He had been shocked by the truth of the heavens. Disappointed by the realization that the essence of the heavens was no different from that of hell but lacked sufficient reason to annihilate the heavens. He wasn’t that impulsive by nature. There was a gap in the events.

For the first time in a while, Ilya opened the gates to heaven. Kugugugung! The holy light split the pure white gate in half, waiting for its master to enter.

“Something must have gone awry.”  Otherwise, entering the heavens would not have been so effortless.

Ilya stepped through the gates of heaven.

Chehope, the administrator of the No. 1 broadcast [BJ Hellhouse], obsessively checked the daily, weekly, and monthly ranking charts with a tense face. “So, what is the expected ranking of the [BJ Villainess] channel tomorrow?”

A team member from Chehope Company’s analysis department answered. “7th.”

It was a desperate analysis result.

“Channels that haven’t moved from the top 10 for decades are being overtaken so easily? Does that make any sense?!”

The employees understood Chehope’s frustration, but they thought it wasn’t impossible. The opponent was Ozworld. His popularity was something that ordinary BJs could hardly compete with. Was there any character as prominent as Ozworld?

Chehope checked the chart he valued most, ‘Top 10 Most Influential Channel Managers’.

[1st place Ozworld]

[2nd place Chehope]

“My channel is in 1st place, so why am I in 2nd? What is this analysis based on?”

“Ozworld Company’s influence is still overwhelmingly dominant…”

“Are you kidding me? Why is Chehope Company less influential than Ozworld Company?!”

The employees chose silence as Chehope berated them with eyes wide from stress.

Chehope wore more expensive clothes, received care from better shops, and owned a company with the latest facilities in a magnificent building. Yet, he sincerely could not understand why he was ranked lower than Ozworld.

Just then, someone from the general affairs department came to Chehope, who was forcibly suppressing his anger. “Mr. CEO, we need to add new skills to the [BJ Hellhouse] channel on a large scale, but we’re running low on budget.”

“Just pull funds from the lower-ranked channels!”

“…We’ve already placed too much burden on the lower-ranked channel BJs. Pushing them further might kill them all.”

“Please, think a bit.”

Chehope sarcastically smiled at the employee’s frustrating comment. “Those are colonial channels existing for the sake of being first. Don’t you see my sincerity in giving such worthless entities below 100th rank a chance at all?”

“…”

“I am showing them mercy. Isn’t it obvious, compared to the behavior of other channel managers?”

“…Understood.”

“Hurry up with it. If the [BJ Hellhouse] channel’s ranking drops because we didn’t insert the skills in time, be prepared.”

After issuing a chilling warning, Chehope gnawed on his fingernails while glaring intensely at the ‘Top 10 Most Influential Channel Managers’ chart. It just didn’t make sense. Yes, Ozworld was cheating, destroying the broadcasting ecosystem with a terrible violation!

“This is a clear violation of fairness. I must meet with the chairmen immediately to correct this situation!”

“Yes, we think so too.”

Chehope immediately moved to the highest level of the channel management bureau. Although he usually built a somewhat friendly relationship with Chairman Epsilon, today, he was willing to face disadvantages and seek out Chairman Beta.

Something feels off with Chairman Alpha. Chehope, with his keen instincts, suspected some sort of deal between Alpha and Ozworld. “If I can just find evidence…”

“Are you Mr. Chehope?”

“…?”

Chehope stopped in his tracks and turned around at the beautiful voice. This was a highly restricted area, and no one below the rank of a top channel manager could freely enter. Yet, a man wearing a black butterfly mask had called him out.

“Yes, but who are…?”

Thud! Chehope fell forward without finishing his sentence, instantly dead. The man in the black butterfly mask pulled something glistening with a slimy substance from Chehope’s body. It was a ‘core’.

Thump! Chehope, with his core removed and eyes wide open, died. The man pocketed the core and boldly left Chehope’s body behind as he entered Beta Chairman’s office.

A moment later, silence ensued. David appeared, checking Chehope’s body. He’s dead. Without the core, resurrection was impossible. It was over.

David, wary, looked towards the Chairman Beta’s office. The man who could kill a channel manager so easily had entered Beta’s office and had not come out since.

Is it an alliance? What is the man’s identity? The clear fact was that this information needed to be relayed to Ozworld as soon as possible. However, as David turned, he came face-to-face with the man in the black butterfly mask.

“…Gosh.”
