BJ Villainess Chapter 368

Author: alyalia

“Y-You’re here.” I even stuttered as I spoke.

“Yeah. I couldn’t stand not seeing you. Sorry.”

Ozworld apologized several times for coming to see me under the pretense of bringing a late-night snack. He seemed really worried I might be annoyed. But there was no need for such concern.

The lunchbox was premium sushi, and the coffee and desserts were from a famous café. My co-workers, who had been eating the same hamburgers and rice soup for several days, were so moved that they couldn’t speak.

“Crazy…”

Ah. They weren’t admiring the food. They were admiring Ozworld’s face. I didn’t want to act smug, but I couldn’t help but feel proud as I handed out the lunchboxes.

“Savor it.”

My co-workers hurriedly cleaned up the messy table, sat down, and started eating the delicious food. Ozworld called it a ‘late-night snack,’ but since everyone was sick to death of hamburgers and basically starving, this was really our dinner.

For the first time today, Senior Seonga seemed quite curious about my boyfriend. “Jiwoo never talked about her boyfriend, so I didn’t know, but are you a foreigner… or are you mixed?”

Ozworld replied with a gentle smile. “I became a Korean citizen recently, so you can consider me Korean.”

Oh…”

Another co-worker asked, “Where were you from originally?”

I stopped that one. “Don’t ask things like that. It’s a difficult question for him.”

Oh? Is that so? Got it.”

Other than that, the other questions were normal. Ozworld maintained his polite and refined manner throughout, so much so that it almost seemed suspiciously dignified. Apparently, I wasn’t the only one who thought so.

Seonga whispered in my ear, “Is your boyfriend from some royal family? For some reason, I just want to bow my head around him.”

Hm… You could say it’s something like that.”

“Knew it.”

I nibbled on dessert and watched Ozworld chatting with everyone by my side. Seeing this different side of him, after only ever seeing him cooped up at home, made my hopeless heart race again. His even more handsome appearance when dressed up, his natural way of putting people at ease—he blended in smoothly wherever he went, unlike me.

Noticing my gaze, Ozworld mouthed, ‘Why?’

I shook my head—there was no way I could say, ‘Because you’re so sexy I can’t look away.’

Then Wonwoo chuckled and spoke to me. “Now I get why you wanted to get out of work so badly.”

At that, Ozworld stopped what he was saying and looked over at us. “What are you two talking about?”

“Just that I want to go home.”

Hm.”

Ozworld narrowed his eyes slightly. I recognized that look. It was the same one he made when Jin Wonwoo called. Why does he keep being so wary of Jin Wonwoo? Jin Wonwoo was just an old classmate and a co-worker of mine.

After the meal, Ozworld quietly stood up. “I was just going to drop off the food and leave, but thank you for making time for me.”

Oh, not at all! I’m the one who should thank you. Jiwoo, go walk your boyfriend out.”

I quickly stood up without any hesitation.

“Let’s go.”

A chance to escape the office and spend time with my boyfriend, even for a moment. Happiness really was a simple thing.

“You carried all that and took a taxi here? That must’ve been hard.” I patted him on the back as we got in the elevator.

Ozworld pressed the button for the basement parking and replied, “That sounded too troublesome, so I bought a car.”

“I see.”

Lately, I’ve learned not to try to understand the mindset of the rich or aliens—just to accept it like the weather.

Ozworld stopped in front of a sleek sedan. The car’s locks opened on their own as we approached.

“This one?”

“Yeah. …I want to use this to drive you to and from work from now on. Is that okay?”

Why even ask a question with such an obvious answer?

“I’d love that.”

Ozworld smiled in relief. Sometimes he watched my reactions a little too anxiously. Is he afraid of being rejected?

Hmm. There was some data from the past about aliens being cowards.

Before letting him go home, I gave him a big hug. “Thanks for coming today.”

Ozworld hugged me tightly, as if my simple gesture moved him deeply. “No, thank you, Jiwoo.”

“I’ll finish up quickly and come home soon.”

“Okay.”

Then I went back to the office and finished my work with renewed focus. Honestly, I still had more to do, but it was already 10pm.

“Let’s all come in late tomorrow…”

“Yeeeah… Good work, everyone.”

We shuffled out of the office like zombies.

I stretched my stiff body as I walked outside. Since I needed to cross the street, I waited for the signal to change. Weird. Why isn’t the light changing today?

Just then, the same black sedan I saw earlier stopped in front of me.

Oh, so that’s why.” I chuckled and got in the passenger seat.

“Good job today. Give me your bag.” Ozworld took my bag, put it in the back seat, and started the car.

“Don’t tell me you waited here for me to finish work without going home?”

Ozworld dodged the question instead of answering. “Would you mind if I did?”

Another one of those questions. I couldn’t understand why a guy who seemed to have everything was so insecure. What happened to him in the past to make him like this? Has he been through a really bad relationship? He hated even thinking about his past, let alone repeating it. That’s why he tried so hard not to make a mistake with me.

I was grateful for Ozworld’s sincerity, but on the other hand, it wasn’t entirely pleasant. I wished for his happiness just as much as he wanted mine.

“There’s never been a single thing you did that I didn’t like. So you can just act however you want.”

Ozworld wasn’t easily convinced by that.

“But I don’t want to do anything you’d dislike.”

“So you’re going to adjust everything to me?”

“…If I can, yes.”

I wasn’t exactly an expert on relationships, but even I could tell his way of loving was pretty twisted. Telling him not to act like this probably won’t work. For now, I just nodded as if I understood.

We got home quickly as there were no red lights, not even traffic. As soon as Ozworld parked, he grabbed my hand.

“Did I say something wrong?” His face was anxious.

Suddenly, it hit me. Ozworld wasn’t doing all this because he wanted my love in return. He wanted to give me perfect, flawless love and devotion. But he didn’t really know how and was anxious he’d make a mistake. It was a strange kind of clumsiness.

“You’re such an idiot, Ozworld.” I took his hand and told him something important. “I don’t love you because you’re perfect. I ended up loving you because you’re so weird.”

“…I’m weird?” He reacted like it was the first time anyone had ever said that to him.

“You didn’t know? You’re really weird.”

“Not you but me?”

What’s he talking about? Why would it be me? Anyway, I let it go and continued.

“Of course it’s you, Oz. I’ve gathered data on you, you know.”

“Data…?”

“You’re childish, rude to me, always scheming in obvious ways, a good liar, you never even asked me out before you kissed me, you’re a brash alien, a crybaby, and a coward.”

“…” Ozworld looked lost for words. “If you put it like that… I really do sound weird.”

“See?”

He stayed stunned for a bit, then slowly started shaking with laughter. “I didn’t realize I was such a loser.”

“Well, maybe not that much. Still, you look decent enough that it works.”

He laughed even harder at my attempt to comfort him. I had a similar smile on my face.

“Now do you get why I love you?”

“I do get that your taste is pretty odd.”

“So go ahead and act even weirder. I like that about you.”

Suddenly, Ozworld hugged me with a choked-up look on his face. “Yeah, I will.”

“See? You’re a crybaby.”

“You’re right.”

I laughed as I hugged him back.

“Should we go home now?”

“Yeah.”

We got out of the car and, just like we’d promised, held hands as we went up to our place. Our new home, now so familiar, was softly lit by the warm lights.

Huh?”

I noticed something beyond the living room window and walked over.

“What is it?”

“Look. The flowers are blooming.”

One of the trees outside the living room window was a plum tree.

“It’s already spring.”

I first met Ozworld in the summer, and now we have spent all four seasons together.

Looking at the plum blossoms under the streetlight, I said, “Hey, Oz. Do you remember the realtor saying this house was perfect for newlyweds?”

Still holding me, he looked at the blossoms with me and replied, “Yeah.”

“So, I was thinking, should we get married?”

At my sudden proposal, he loosened his embrace. “…What?”

“What? You don’t want to? Why do you look so shocked?”

He hurriedly answered, flustered. “No, I do! I’d love to. I really do… Are you serious?”

“Yeah. If you say yes, I’ll go register the marriage tomorrow. We can, right?” He had Korean citizenship, so it shouldn’t be a problem.

Ozworld stared at me blankly for a long time, then slowly nodded. Earlier, he managed to hold back his tears, but now he couldn’t anymore. Maybe it was because he looked so pretty crying today, all dressed up. He looked even more pitiful and even cuter. I hugged him tightly because his foolish side was so lovely.

“I love you.”

My beautiful, crybaby alien hugged me so tightly I could hardly breathe. He couldn’t answer right away, too overwhelmed with emotion, but he more than made up for it later.

  1. Not so happy coz Jiwoo just lost all of her real past. But again this could just another dream of afterlife Oz. Either way, happy for Oz. He finally changed.

  2. Hate it. I know authors love their villains, but to give Oz so many endings and space when Euges lost his memory, Ilya got empty fluff and an annoying AU because the author didn’t know how to handle their ending, and it looks like Damian gets 2 chapters? I wish the author had just done epilogues in Theresa’s world as it finally was created and saw how she, Clyde, and the liberated MLs lived. None of these feel earned, which is frustrating given the thought and obvious love put into this story. Still not sold on Clyde, but I was hoping the epilogues would help that

  3. I think it is real word of Jee Wu, if she isn’t dead for last life. It is seem imaginary word. So I don’t like it because the author too love Ozword and abandon the other male lead.
