  1. There are three S-ranks here.

Damn it.

I realized the seriousness of the situation.

The fact that the place I originally came from and this world are synchronized means that if I can’t save Uncle here, there would be no Han Minhyuk in the other world.

Demon King

How is it? Fun? The last quest I made.

And then.

The message from the Demon King who had been silent for quite some time arrived.

As if he had been waiting for it.

The moment I clearly realized what kind of place this world was.

So, this world was not just a simple copy of the past made by the Demon King, but it was also synchronized with the “present” and “future,” making it a place much closer to the actual “past.”

I stared at the message window for a moment, then made up my mind and sent a message.

Hotel Owner

Oh.

At that moment, Kim Junsoo continued speaking with a regretful expression.

“Then, it’s regrettable, but we’ll give up on the plan here…”

“No.”

I stopped Aunt Misoon and Uncle Junsoo from saying we should give up the plan and waved my hand.

What kind of giving up is that?

Are you saying we should give up on Han Minhyuk right now?

That can’t be happening.

“I’ll just go as planned. However, please lend me a bit of help.”

Because Uncle Minhyuk’s ‘real’ life is on the line, every moment counts.

They might be scared of the sky-flying crazy whales, but the truth is, no matter how many of them gather, their rank is only C-class.

That means there’s no reason I can’t defeat them.

However, I need a way to persuade these two people—

I hesitated as I looked at the slightly bewildered Hwang Misoon and Kim Junsoo.

Should I say that I’m a regressor?

This world is an apocalypse; would it really be a problem if we throw in a bit of time travel?

They were already exposed to many abnormal situations, so they might not believe me easily.

But the only thing Hwang Misoon and Kim Junsoo will probably believe is the fact that “I have regressed.”

The fact that the two people who are still awkward now will become best friends in 20 years.

The fact that Cheon Mikyung, who is still just an art student, will exhibit her work at a world-class gallery in the future.

The fact that the cold-hearted Cheon Mikyung will marry Kim Junsoo and have two children.

That their closest friend is currently dying in the Gosichon too—

They will find it hard to accept.

The reason is simple.

Because they haven’t lived that kind of life yet.

However, if you instill fatalism by saying that you will eventually live such a life, the issue of whether or not one believes in ‘irrational situations’ becomes more than just a simple matter. It could shake the very foundation of a person’s free will and life beliefs.

Now that I know this world is synchronized with the world I was in, I didn’t want to interfere with their lives.

I had to let them experience all the frustrations, sadness, joy, and exhilaration they would face from now on, fully on their own.

That’s how I could go back and meet my baby Junghyo fan family.

Thinking this, I brought up the words that would make the two of them move, words that would lead them to set out on the crazy whale hunting in the sky.

“There’s something I didn’t mention earlier. Actually, there’s Oppa I know living in the Gosichon. I have to save him. He’s… my first love.”

“….!”

“What did you say?!”

The first to stand up indignantly at those words was Kim Junsoo.

A man who was just going through the moment of his first love.

No matter what, it was like that.

For a moment, I wondered if he would say I was deceiving him.

“Then let’s go! Let’s hurry and go confess before the world ends~!”

Kim Junsoo was still Kim Junsoo.

* * *

“No, what kind of people are so desperate because they can’t love?”

Hwang Misoon grumbled in her familiar tone.

Even so, she was driving the van that carried the glider.

For the record, this van was stolen from a back alley workshop. Hwang Misoon fiddled with a couple of wires, and somehow managed to get it rolling without even a key.

Taking advantage of this moment, I decided to solve a small curiosity I had always had.

“Hwang Misoon-ssi, don’t you ever date?”

“Me? Dating?”

Hwang Misoon said as if it was obvious.

“If a model kit turns into a person, then I’ll consider it.”

It was a firm and concise answer.

‘I just hoped so.’

It would have been fun if there had been some small dark past in Hwang Misoon’s history.

I could have used that to negotiate a contract with the Misoon workshop—

System

Why is your expression so scary?

The one who put a stop to my evil plan was Alex.

Administrator

What is it?

System

This is the expression ▶ ✧/ᐠ-ꞈ-ᐟ\

When I didn’t answer, Alex asked cautiously.

System

Is it because I broke the system ㅠㅠㅠ??

But it was fixed right away!!

I would have to explain myself to that scary-looking, straight-haired auntie, though.

Alex clearly didn’t know about synchronization.

Then there’s no need to panic by telling her that fact.

Let’s just go with the concept of being annoyed because the system doesn’t work properly.

Administrator

From now on, if there’s a problem, let me know right away.

System

Yeah!!

When I kept silent and sent a message, Alex replied with a message that seemed to show a red tail wagging.

Yeah. That’s enough.

While I was feeling relieved, I heard a strange sound.

A sound like swallowing a breath.

It was from Hwang Misoon, who was holding the steering wheel.

“….?”

Only then did I look ahead.

Since we were on the road that Kim Junsoo recommended as the fastest, we had already passed Seoul Station.

And there were several giant crocodiles attached to the exterior wall of the Seoul Station building.

“Kuweeeeeeek!”

A ‘Slimy Alligator (D)’ appeared in front of you.

Kiiiik.

The car stumbled for a moment because Hwang Misoon let go of the steering wheel for a moment.

Thanks to that, we almost collided with Kim Junsoo’s motorcycle, which had been following closely beside us, but no one mentioned it.

A swear word came out of Kim Junsoo’s mouth.

“F*ck…This….”

A blue bus rolling down the street in front of Seoul Station and a faucet exploding and spewing water all by itself.

The slimy alligators crawling while being sprayed with the water, and the subway that stopped and was abandoned on top of the school.

The city swept by the disaster was revealing its ugly face.

Hwang Misoon, Kim Junsoo, and even I fell silent in front of the destroyed city.

A ‘Slimy Alligator (D)’ appeared in front of you.

“Kuuuuuuu!”

It was then. Two Dark Lizards seemed to get into a fight, and one of them slid down the water flowing from the faucet, arriving right in front of us.

As Hwang Misoon stepped on the brakes, the car spun about half a turn.

Kiiiiek.

There was a loud sound, but the Dark Lizard didn’t react at all.

From the start, they didn’t react much to the surrounding noise. Instead of attacking humans, they were creatures that survived by hunting and eating small rodent-like monsters.

They just fought each other because they were competing for food.

But then—

Another slimy alligator jumped out with its mouth wide open behind the slimy alligator blocking our path.

It seemed like it was trying to attack another creature, but with a single body blow like that, this truck would be half-destroyed.

“Get out!”

I got out of the truck with Hwang Misoon.

Hwang Misoon quickly rolled onto the asphalt thanks to her developed reflexes after becoming an awakened person.

Now, all she had to do was protect her face and wait for the sound of the truck breaking apart.

I thought so, but even after closing my eyes for a minute, I couldn’t hear anything.

I opened my eyes and looked in front of the truck.

“Heuk… heuk…”

The truck was intact, and instead, Kim Junsoo was seen standing with a giant trident made of water, piercing through the alligator’s neck.

“…What… is this…?”

Kim Junsoo, with a bewildered expression as he looked at what he had just done, asked,

“I saw something about Poseidon, so… I just tried it.”

I realized then.

I wondered what skills Uncle Junsoo had.

The Roar of the Trident.

An S-class attack skill that only activates in water.

That was the one that was activated right now.

“…F*ck… What do I do about this reptile…!”

Uncle Junsoo reluctantly let go of the trident, causing it to rattle.

In that moment, the trident disappeared, and the giant alligator toppled backward with a loud crash from Uncle Junsoo’s kick.

Boom—!

When I saw that, I sent a message to the Demon King.

Hotel Owner

Did you see that? The end of the reptile.

There are three S-ranks here.

I tapped Kim Junsoo’s shoulder, who was looking at his own hands in confusion, and said,

“Can you use that in the Han River?”

* * *

Inside a building in Yeouido.

A citizen who had barely survived the monster attack was checking the outside situation on their cellphone.

He turned on the video app and zoomed in as much as possible to check if there were any troops nearby.

-Kiyuuuuuu!

But soon, the moment they spotted a herd of about ten whales flying over the Han River…

The citizen momentarily went blank, then started recording the scene.

A swarm of whales flying over the ruined city.

How romantic and unrealistic is this scene?

He thought to himself and unknowingly filmed nearly ten minutes of footage.

He felt that it would be okay if this video became his will.

But then.

Something flew leisurely between the pod of whales.

At first, it looked like a giant goose with non-linear wings.

Then, as it slowly changed direction, he saw it.

The shape of a glider carrying a giant motorcycle.

Is that thing flying…?

It was amazing enough that it was flying, but what was even more astonishing was that there was a person riding on top of it.

One person with an unusually large head and another person, inspecting the wings with swift movements.

As he zoomed in as much as possible to capture the people, he finally realized.

The person with the large head was actually someone whose hair appeared to be extremely puffy due to malicious curls, making their head look much bigger. The woman with the swift movements was wearing an outfit that looked well-fitted, though it was unclear whether it was a uniform or not.

The woman in the uniform had black eyes that were calm, like a cat searching for prey. This was while she was flying over the Han River with a motorcycle strapped to the glider.

This alone was shocking—

But something passed by.

“….?”

He unconsciously put down his phone and put it back up.

It wasn’t a mistake.

On his phone screen, there was a picture of a man riding a whale and holding a giant trident.

The man with yellow hair, smiling brightly as if he were surfing, was waving his hand toward the person filming and saying something.

“Uncleee~ There’s nothing on the first floor of that building~ Get to the first floor~!”

…?!?!

It seemed like there were more strange beings than monsters in this world.
