“Excuse me.”

A neatly organized front door. Seo Dojoon took off his shoes and carefully entered the house.

Currently, he was invited to Jung Jinho’s house.

When he was caught at the rest stop, he thought they would all return home, but things changed when Lee Yoonkyung invited him to their house.

“Please be comfortable, Hunter Seo Dojoon.”

Lee Yoonkyung smiled softly and offered Seo Dojoon a seat.

This was Seo Dojoon’s second visit to Haeun’s house. The first time, he was caught by the trickster Haeun and came in unexpectedly, and the second time, today, he came with a formal invitation.

However, there is no doubt that it is still a burdensome position.

The people gathered here were all prominent figures in the hunter world, and at the same time, they were the family of Haeun, whom Seo Dojoon suggested as a show window couple.

Seo Dojoon adjusted his posture to avoid being caught.

On the other hand, Haeun’s mood was very bad.

“Why are you following someone like that?”

“Haeun, didn’t you lie and run away?”

“I was just going to eat!”

“Then you should have been honest.”

To be honest, they still would have followed her.

Haeun crossed her legs because she was tired of it.

Her family interferes so much with her dating business.

[The Constellation ‘Mutant of the Abyss’ snorts and says that she’s not really dating.]

‘Anyway, my family thinks I’m really dating now.’

She doesn’t do much for her boyfriend, but she’s worried about how they’ll react if she brings the person she plans to marry in the future.

When Haeun and Seo Dojoon said that they had not had lunch yet, Lee Yoonkyung ordered delivery food. And a temporary hearing was held until the ordered food arrived.

“Are you really dating my daughter seriously?”

“Yes, it is.”

Now, if they bring up the story of a contractual relationship, Seo Dojoon and Haeun are both dead. Seo Dojoon, who doesn’t want to be a boneless chicken, nodded seriously.

“Since when were you interested in my daughter?”

Seo Dojoon repeated the same things he answered in the interview.

Jung Jinho showed his displeasure.

“Then you should have come to me first to ask for permission. Why are you appearing on TV first?”

“Dad, you’re too much.”

He wants him to come ask for dating permission even though they’re not even married. What kind of old-fashioned thinking is this?

However, Haeun’s protests weren’t well received by her family. Even Haeun was in danger of being scolded, so Haeun offered Seo Dojoon as a sacrifice and sneaked away.

[The Constellation ‘Mutant of the Abyss’ says it feels like deja vu in America.]

“I think it’s worse than when I get scolded in the U.S…”

As Haeun muttered while looking at Seo Dojoon, who was gradually turning into green onion kimchi, Jung Sehyun came over and whispered. (t/n : 파김치가 되다 (to become like Green Onion Kimchi) means be exhausted; be dead tired; be worn-out.)

“Dad was really angry because Hunter Seo Dojoon broke Hyung’s weapon.”

“Heol. Really? Was it because of Seo Dojoon-ssi?”

Of course, she thought Jung Eunwoo broke it.

“Okay, let’s stop now and eat. Hunter Seo Dojoon also sits down.”

When the food arrived, Lee Yoonkyung stopped Jung Jinho’s nagging.  However, the meal that followed was also uncomfortable.

Haeun glanced at Seo Dojoon.

He is putting on a calm expression, but he looks tired.

There is only one way Haeun can help him. To get him out of her house quickly!

However, Jung Eunwoo was present. And this inevitably brought alcohol to the dinner table.

“Let’s do something big like a man. You’re not avoiding it, are you?”

“No.”

Alcohol, which started out as an accompaniment, gradually became the main course. The main drinkers were Jung Jinho, Jung Eunwoo, and Seo Dojoon.

“Come on, take it.”

“Yes.”

Seo Dojoon didn’t seem to particularly like drinking, but as the two people kept passing drinks to him, he seemed to have no choice but to take it.

Haeun looked at Seo Dojoon with a worried face.

‘What should I do? You’ve worked hard, Seo Dojoon.’

[The Constellation ‘Mutant of the Abyss’ says that it was Seo Dojoon who first suggested a contractual relationship, so it was all self-profit.]

‘Still, it’s a bit pitiful.’

If things continue like this, it wouldn’t be strange to say that they should stop being show window couples tomorrow.

The drinking party lasted quite a long time.

Still, perhaps due to the alcohol, the atmosphere was much more relaxed than in the beginning. Because now Seo Dojoon was also joining the conversation.

“Hey, you b*stard. Do you think it’s fine if you’re dating Jung Haeun? What about my spear? “What are you going to do with my weapon?”

“Didn’t I say I would compensate? Please stop.”

“Are you just treating the weapon I made so poorly?”

“It’s not like that, Hunter Jung Jinho-nim. You know that I love Hunter Jung Jinho-nim weapons more than anything in the world, right?”

Uhm…

Can this be considered a conversation? He looks like he’s drunk.

Still, it didn’t seem like the atmosphere would get any worse, so Haeun left her seat and went into the room. She has to take a shower.

When Haeun returned to the living room after some time, she found Jung Jinho and Jung Eunwoo who were both very drunk.

Haeun asked Lee Yoonkyung.

“Mom, what about Seo Dojoon-ssi?”

“He went outside to get some fresh air for a while.”

“Phew.”

Haeun shook her head. How much on earth did he drink?

Haeun went out of the house to find Seo Dojoon and buy a hangover cure at a convenience store.

Seo Dojoon was sitting on a bench in the playground located right next to her house. Compared to the two men in the family who had passed out, Seo Dojoon seemed to be quite fine.

‘He’s quite strong with alcohol.’

Haeun moved closer to him. Then Seo Dojoon, who noticed Haeun’s presence, suddenly stood up.

“Haeun-ssi!”

Then he suddenly started running towards Haeun.

“Ooh, Seo Dojoon-ssi. Be careful!”

He tripped over the bump in the ground because he didn’t see it. Haeun was startled and quickly caught him as he fell.

“Are you okay?”

“Ahaha. Thank you, Haeun-ssi.”

Seo Dojoon laughed loudly like a child. It was the first time she had heard him laugh so cheerfully, so Haeun stared at him without realizing it.

Seo Dojoon opened his mouth and smiled.

“Haha. I survived thanks to Haeun-ssi.”

She will cancel everything she says regarding his high alcohol level. He’s really drunk right now, right?

Haeun helped him and sat him down on the chair. What was so funny that Seo Dojoon kept laughing?

They had everything set up nicely for the show until the morning, but now it was all over the place.

The hair that was neatly slicked behind him has fallen down and covered his forehead.

“Ahaha.”

But beyond all that, that handsome face that keeps smiling pierces Haeun’s heart.

“Phew.”

Haeun canceled her plan to go to the convenience store and sat next to Seo Dojoon. It’s not like anything could happen since it’s inside an apartment complex, but she was worried because she had never seen him so messy before.

Haeun waved two of her fingers in front of Seo Dojoon.

“Seo Dojoon, would you like to know how many of these there are?”

“What do you think when you shake it like that?”

“…Are you conscious or not?”

“Haha.”

Seo Dojoon laughed, his cheeks blushing bright red. It was a face that would fit the word pretty. It seems that he was really drunk.

‘How much alcohol did Jung Eunwoo give Seo Dojoon to drink?’

Haeun sighed and apologized.

“I’m sorry. Because of my family. You had a hard time today, right?”

“It seems like your family likes Haeun a lot.”

“It’s just a bluff.”

“They must be worried about Haeun-ssi.”

That may not be wrong, but…

Now, they don’t know her as a non-awakened person like before, but they still tend to be overprotective of Haeun.

Of course, it could be that they just don’t like the idea of Haeun having a boyfriend.

Haeun sighed lightly and muttered.

“Now there’s nothing to worry about like what’s in the past.”

“In the past?”

“Uhm…”

When Seo Dojoon showed interest, Haeun slightly increased her conversational tone.

Is it even okay to say something like this?

However, as she sees Seo Dojoon loosening up differently than usual, Haeun herself also wants to be honest today.

If it’s Seo Dojoon, she doesn’t think he’ll tell anyone else.

Above all, he is currently drunk, so he might forget it even after hearing it.

Those feelings made Haeun open her mouth.

“I once had a dungeon accident when I was young.”

“Yes? Are you okay?”

“Of course I’m fine. That’s why I’m alive like this, right?”

Although there was a little, no, a lot of trauma.

Haeun, who remained silent for a moment, suddenly spoke.

“I, do you know that I really hated my family when I was young? I liked it, but I also didn’t like it.”

She knew her family loved her. Because they always expressed it sufficiently in words and through their actions so that Haeun didn’t feel shortcomings.

However, it was Haeun who was constantly being compared when she stepped outside of the family fence.

“People always say I’m not good enough… I thought immaturely that I didn’t need to hear that, except from my family. But you know what’s funny? Hearing things like that every day makes me feel like I’m a really bad person.”

She didn’t like that, so she started doing gymnastics because she wanted to create a corner where Haeun could proudly boast about anything. She actually did pretty well.

“It was nice to go to the competition and take first place. Then, people evaluated and praised me as Jung Haeun, not as someone else’s daughter… Actually, I had some thoughts of just hiding it and continuing to do gymnastics.”

Haeun sighed and closed her eyes tightly. Her hands tremble a little.

“But it became difficult to do both when there was an accident at the gym. Just looking at the average range reminds me of the day, and I feel sick, but I can’t reveal the other side to the truth.”

Time passed and now she was unable to do anything.

Of course, she’s now free from the penalty. But her experiences over the past few years have left Haeun with an unconscious sense of anxiety. That’s why Haeun is trying to find out about the system and constellations.

‘I will soon be able to meet Nebiros.’

Haeun clenched her fist.

“Anyway, that’s it. Because of that accident, my family acts a little excessively. Thanks to it, Seo Dojoon has had a hard time.”

“I didn’t think it was particularly difficult.”

“Haha, really?”

Haeun laughed lightly. Somehow, her heart felt a little lighter. Haeun turned her head towards Seo Dojoon. Seo Dojoon smiles prettily as their eyes meet.

“Now that I think about it, Seo Dojoon, I have something I want to ask you.”

“What is it?”

“Seo Dojoon, are you intentionally trying to show off your talents?”

“Yes?”

“It was the same during today’s broadcast recording. Do you know how surprised I was when he suddenly called me ‘honey’? We didn’t discuss anything like that.”

“Ahaha!”

Seo Dojoon’s eyebrows furrowed.

“I just wanted to call it that.”

“Look, you’re still like that.”

“And there’s something I felt. I just thought I should act more proactively to prevent harm to Haeun-ssi.”

“…You know that we’re not really dating, right?”

“Of course.”

Seo Dojoon replied with a drowsy smile.

Suddenly, she thought Seo Dojoon’s face was too close. Haeun flinched and moved her body sideways. But then, Seo Dojoon’s hand grabbed Haeun.

“S, Seo Dojoon-ssi?”

Surprised, Ha-eun stuttered her words.

Wait a minute, Seo Dojoon just said he would act more proactively in the future.

No way, don’t tell me???

Before she knew it, his face was right in front of her nose. Embarrassed, Haeun closed her eyes tightly.

Tuk.

And at that moment, she felt a weight on her shoulders. She can hear the soft breathing sounds of a sleeping person.

Seo Dojoon, who couldn’t overcome his drunkenness, buried his face on Haeun’s shoulder and fell asleep.

Haeun, who thought for a moment that Seo Dojoon was going to kiss her, turned bright red.

The two sat side by side for a long time in the quiet playground as night fell.
