Seong Chan-young had a severe lack of affection. He never wanted to be left alone in a space. This is why Lim has never taken a vacation while serving as Seong Chan-young’s housekeeper.

It was for that reason that he did not trust people well and insisted on being next to them. Baek Do-jun knew very well because he watched Seong Chan-young even though he did not want it for a long time.

“Are you sure? Did you see any signs of him making an excuse?”

[Not at all. He’s gotten calmer.]

“….. he has gotten calm?”

[Yes. I didn’t feel like he was trying to follow Seo Eun-soo or the other alphas by constantly contacting his secretary as usual.]

Even if Chan-young worked hard and imitated the real Seong Chan-yeong, he couldn’t escape the keen eye of Mrs. Lim, who had been resident as a housekeeper for several years.

Although she wasn’t aware that his soul had been swapped.

Baek Do-jun, who was unaware of this fact, only questioned Seong Chan-young’s changed behavior.

‘What are you thinking, Seong Chan-young.’

Since surveillance could not be attached, Baek Do-jun had to watch Seong Chan-young from afar.

Through contact with other alpha people who like Seo Eun-soo and hate Seong Chan-young who bully him.

Instead of Lim, it was Chae Yoon-chan who became the new contact to deliver Seong Chan-young’s news.

“Did you know?”

“What?”

“Seong Chan-young came out of the house. I bribed the taxi drivers around the area, and one person reported right away.”

“You’re good at it.”

Chae Yoon-chan was a scion of one of the leading companies in Korea and was of mixed blood. Having a wealthy aristocratic foreign father, he giggled at Baek Do-jun with sparkling blue eyes.

“Thank you for the compliment. But after all, you’re just like me, right? Having to monitor someone.”

“…….”

I couldn’t argue that it wasn’t true. All of them, including Baek Do-jun, were alphas. Not being able to provide anything for Seo Eun-soo, the omega in mind, was sometimes a factor that made them sick.

‘Maybe we’re not that different from Seong Chan-young.’

Alpha’s obsession with his partner, Omega, has become a kind of social convention, but none of them has yet won Seo Eun-soo’s heart.

In other words, it was a story about grown-up alpha males concocting a plan to get rid of Seong Chan-young, who was obsessive and obstructing them from behind.

‘I like Seo Eun-soo, but is this right?’

Baek Do-jun didn’t want to say this about himself. Even with Seong Chan-young, the fact that he has to be dragged around like a dog on a leash because of his appointment with another alpha.

When you couldn’t even confess to the person you really liked.

Chae Yoon-chan didn’t care about Do-jun’s complicated mind. He sat on the sofa and continued to talk while playing mobile games on his cell phone.

“You see, the taxi driver told me a funny story.”

“What did he say?”

“You’re curious, right? If you’re curious, keep Joo Tae-kang away from Eun-soo. He’s a little gross.”

“You do it yourself. Why would you leave that crazy guy to me?”

“Because you’re the most normal in our one-sided love group?”

“I won’t do it. I’d rather not listen.”

Joo Tae-kang was rumored to be a particularly crazy person among alpha groups who liked Seo Eun-soo. This was because while the outer shell was the most normal, he was obsessed and longing for Seo Eun-soo more than anyone else. In an obsessive way, too.

Chae Yoon-chan threw the game-over cell phone onto the sofa as if he knew it would happen.

“Boring~ I knew this would happen. So I contacted Joo Tae-kang in advance and informed him. “

“……What did you say to him?”

“What the taxi driver said: he dressed up as if he was going to meet someone he liked and went to Seo Eun-soo’s address with a flower basket.”

They knew better than anyone else in the world that it couldn’t be true. Especially for Do-jun, who knows that Seong Chan-young is actually a recessive omega, not a beta.

“Are you crazy? You know he’s almost dying to kill Seong Chan-young!”

“So what? Isn’t it good to send the crazy dog to the goal with Seong Chan-young without even raising his hand?”

‘You don’t make any sense.’

Do-jun tangled his neat hair when he saw Yoon-chan, revealing his exclusive desire for Seo Eun-soo as much as Joo Tae-kang.

“You come back later and we’ll talk.”

Then he immediately took his jacket and car key and went outside.

‘It’s a big deal if Joo Tae-kang closes his eyes and commits violence again.’

I wasn’t worried about my fiance, Seong Chan-young. It was just that he hated the weight of the responsibility Do-jun had to bear if Seong Chan-young was injured.

‘I want to get out of it.’

I didn’t want to get involved with Seong Chan-young anymore. I didn’t even want to be among the alpha people who liked Seo Eun-soo.

Suddenly, I remembered that Mrs. Lim seemed to have changed a little.

“I said he didn’t act like he normally does……. But when I saw that he visited Seo Eun-soo, it was the same as expected.”

It’s tiring. Do-jun got in the car and headed to Eun-soo’s house with his heavy body and mind.

⚝ ⚝ ⚝

“What is this?”

However, contrary to his worries, the scenery waiting for Do-jun was very different from what he had expected.

“I’m here to apologize.”

“I stopped by Seo Eun-soo’s house today to apologize for the disrespect I’ve been committing. And I also delivered a memorandum that I will never appear in front of him again.”

As expected, Joo Tae-kang met Seong Chan-young and was holding him by the collar, but Seong Chan-young responded calmly to the furious Joo Tae-kang.

No matter what kind of rejection Joo Tae-kang showed, his eyes, which were always sticky and longing for affection, were always clear. On top of that, his forehead, which added anger, did not know how to unfold.

“I have no interest in him now.”

“You’re terrible enough to curse. Do you understand?”

It was clear until the end. Seong Chan-young really looked at Joo Tae-kang as if he were looking at trash, and as soon as a taxi came, he took it and left. Only Joo Tae-kang remained blank and could not accept the situation.

“Oh….”

It wasn’t a lie.

‘Seong Chan-young really gave up his affection and lingering feelings for Joo Tae-kang.’

That familiar look in the eye. It was originally the eyes of the alphas, including Baek Do-jun, toward Seong Chan-young, who was sticking to them.

I was so used to it that I couldn’t get confused.

Seong Chan-young hated Ju Tae-kang. On top of that, judging from the conversation I overheard, Seo Eun-soo also said that he would stop paying attention to Seo Eun-soo and not meet him.

Naturally, the idea was transferred to Baek Do-jun and himself.

‘Will he do that to me?’

It was easy to imagine so. It’s Seong Chan-young. It was a bad relationship from the moment we first met. Seong Chan-young did not love Baek Do-jun. He made fun of him, mocked him and used him like his servant.

Seong Chan-young chased after the alphas who liked Seo Eun-soo, but he didn’t care about Baek Do-jun like the others.

‘Knowing that, even a guy like Chae Yoon-chan must be laughing at me even more.’

Therefore, it would have been better if Seong Chan-young refused Baek Do-jun, as he did with Joo Tae-kang. Do-jun didn’t like Chan-young either.

But I wasn’t as comfortable as I thought.

‘Is it because it’s unclear?’

Yeah, that must be why.

It was uncomfortable, as if a piece of stone could not fall out, but Baek Do-jun passed it without thinking deeply about it. It was also because Chae Yoon-chan called on the way back.

[What happened? Did Joo Tae-kang achieve justice on Seong Chan-young?]

“It didn’t happen, so hang up.”

Chae Yoon-chan shouted over his cell phone, saying, “I gave you high-quality information, but are you going to do this?” but Do-jun ignored it.

‘How dare you use me as an errand boy.’

Although they cooperated with each other with Seo Eun-soo in common, Alphas were still Alphas. Not only did they hate each other’s pheromones, but they didn’t like their existence very much.

Instead, it was Seong Chan-young who united them even though he had a sense of competition to like the same people in homophobia.

“But now that you’ve come and changed your attitude like that……”

It was ridiculous. I thought that Seong Chan-young would not change even if he died and woke up, but it was difficult to adapt to the sudden change.

“You’ll see when you watch.”

Baek Do-jun decided to put other personnel besides Mrs. Lim, who has worked hard so far, under Seong Chan-young’s watch. The variable occurred, so he needed more clear data on what the hell he was thinking.

However the next day, Seong Chan-young shattered Baek Do-jun’s expectations again.

“Let’s break up. Let’s go our separate ways from now on.”

There was no hesitation in the clear, bright, light brown eyes. There was no hate or arrogance that seemed to be looked down on. There was nothing.

‘How?’

It was hard to accept the change. He was angry at the sudden change in attitude and even spewed pheromones, but Seong Chan-young did not respond to Baek Do-jun’s pheromones.

On the contrary, Seong Chan-young covered his nose and his eyes, telling him to get rid of it as if his pheromone were terrible, which immediately brought back his lost reason.

‘What made you change so much?’

Author's Thoughts

About the "Although she wasn’t aware that his soul had been swapped," here are two things here:

1) Our MC’s OG name could be Chan-young unless there was a typo.
2) Their souls have been swapped?! Swapped?!??!? Istg I made sure to check the raws multiple times in case I’m translating wrong but they used the word: 영혼이 뒤바뀌었다!!!

  1. If their souls were really swapped I’m worried about what will happen to MC’s family if Seong Chan-young causes problems.

    1. Yes I hope he’ll mellow out or that someone knocks some sense into him

  2. Their souls have been swapped?? Well, I’m not sure if I remember correctly, but maybe putting Seong Chan-Young in a loving family that works hard on a farm will do him some good

  3. TLDR: This chapter is making me feel heated, and Baek Dojun is scum.
Wow, I hope none of the Alphas are the end goal. We know two of them consented in provoking a “violent” guy against Seong Chanyoung. And for Baek Dojun to have the gall to admit that he’s not even interested in Seo Eunsoo, but added to the harassment out of pettiness from his own engagement.
I like that the b****** reflecting on Omega/Alpha double standards; cause the premise of the multiple Alpha’s one sidely pursuing and pressuring a single person is not acceptable.
Baek Dojun knows why the original Seong Chanyoung acted obsessively, he was jealous. The original Seong Chanyoung wouldn’t have issues if people communicated with him; including his irresponsible Grandpa who enabled unhealthy behavior. The original engagement was a long term arrangement, but Baek Dojun didn’t even bother confronting him except comfortably arranging things behind the scenes like this. Not to mention if he’s planted a spy all this time, he didn’t bother preemptively try prevent the harassment against Seo Eunsoo.
I’m out for blood against this man.

    1. Wanted to follow up, I’m more so irritated that the guy choose to be hostile and indifferent to Seong Chanyoung and got Seo Eunsoo involved. If he really wanted to sever relationships at all costs; he wouldn’t have planted a spy or push for an annulment on the basis of behavior alone. (Domestic affairs leeches into economic integrity.) He also knowingly used his pheromones to chemically harass Seong Chanyoung; was it to provoke a reaction? To get Seong Chanyoung to default on the matter and not talk about it further? It’s a means of intimidation.

  4. If the souls are swapped, I hope both of them will be happy with their new family

  5. I think it would be nice if they swapped. The og chan young would benefit being the youngest in a large family. I hope the author dedicates a chapter or 2 abt it!
