My Tamed Beast Returned with a Dragon Chapter 65 - I Want to Get Stronger

Author: Asternkm

Eunsae came to the Guild Master’s office and opened her eyes wide after hearing what we had said. It was because she had received an unexpected proposal.

“You want me to attend the founding ceremony of the Docheon Group?”

“Yeah. My father and brothers… asked me to.”

We looked troubled, pulling at our hair. We looked like we were dying of guilt for saying this to Eunsae.

He glanced at Byeol and Bom, who were sitting side by side next to Eunsae, then carefully watched her reaction.

“Um, with Byeol and Bom.”

“Ah.”

Eunsae noticed where we were looking and understood. You want to see the dragon and Chun Tiendeyaoqing in person.

Having roughly understood the situation, Eunsae readily nodded.

“They’re people who helped the guild get settled. I’m also personally indebted to them. All right, I’ll go.”

“Are you really okay with it? You can refuse if it makes you uncomfortable.”

“No. It’s not just anyone. They’re your father and brothers.”

“Haah, I’m really sorry. Why are they acting like this at their age…?”

We sighed. If Eunsae went, Sol and Mirinae would follow her, and in the end, all of Docheon’s S-ranks would move.

‘This is what they were aiming for.’

Our teeth clenched. This wasn’t the first time we had been dragged around according to our father and brothers’ wishes just because we were the youngest.

‘It’s a crime to be powerless. It really is.’

We felt bitter about our situation. More than anything, it hurt that we couldn’t keep our dignity in front of Eunsae.

Seeing that our expression didn’t improve easily, Eunsae lightly waved her hand to change the mood.

“It’s really okay. Don’t worry too much.”

“Phew… Sorry. We’ll prepare your outfit and hair on our side. You just need to come.”

“You already did that before, though. Oh, can we make our Byeol and Bom look pretty, too?”

Eunsae said as she looked at the children eating snacks. We readily nodded. It wouldn’t be difficult.

“Of course. We’ll prepare things for Byeol and Bom, too.”

“Yay. Byeol, Bom. Let’s get all pretty together that day.”

[Are we going to another party? I like going with Noona!]

Beep!

Perhaps because they had good memories of the party hosted by the Docheon Guild before, Byeol and Bom were delighted, their eyes shining brightly. Eunsae patted the heads of the happy children.

The warm atmosphere made our expressions relax as well. After chatting with Eunsae about this and that, we suddenly remembered something.

“Oh, Eunsae. I heard a strange rumor about you going around among lower-ranked hunters these days.”

“What rumor?”

“A rumor that you abuse your power.”

“Huh? Abuse my power?”

Eunsae asked back as if she had no idea what we were talking about. With her personality, it was impossible for her to do such a thing.

We also thought it made no sense, so we told her exactly what we had heard.

“Have you been to Jongno lately?”

“No. You know me. Home, guild, home, guild.”

“Right? But someone said they saw you in Jongno, and that you cursed and shouted at hunters who came up to ask for your autograph.”

“I did?”

Eunsae looked completely confused. She hadn’t even been to Jongno, and she had never refused anyone who asked for her autograph.

“And they said you went into S Hotel and asked for the best room, saying, ‘Don’t you know who I am?’ That wouldn’t be difficult, but apparently you even demanded a big discount.”

“I’ve never even asked for a discount on the meat I buy for the monsters.”

Just the cost of meat for the monsters each month came to several hundred. She bought so much that she might get extra meat, but she had never once asked for a lower price.

“I know. It wasn’t serious enough to make an official statement, so we left it alone. But at least be aware of it.”

“Okay. That’s strange.”

As an S-rank hunter, Eunsae was used to all kinds of rumors following her, so she simply thought, ‘So there’s another one,’ and let it go. When the children became full and started dozing off, Eunsae picked up Byeol and Bom and stood up.

“I should put the kids to sleep in an empty office. I’ll get going. Text me if you need anything, Uri.”

“Okay.”

We wanted to talk a little longer. We were enjoying the time we had with Eunsae after such a long while.

We wanted to stop her, but we couldn’t bring ourselves to say anything else, so we saw her off with a disappointed look.

“By the way, is the training room empty?”

“You’re going to train? What’s gotten into you?”

We asked in surprise, our eyes widening. Eunsae normally didn’t train by herself unless she was with the monsters.

At our puzzled looks, Eunsae suddenly made a strange expression.

“I just… feel like I should.”

The arm holding Byeol and Bom tightened slightly. Seeing that she gave no other reason, we nodded and said,

“Okay. Go to the training room you usually use. There should be a few guild members there, but it shouldn’t be full.”

“Got it.”

After hearing us, Eunsae left the Guild Master’s office. She left the sleeping Byeol and Bom with a guild hunter and went to the training room.

The practical training room was located on the fifth floor. It was a facility that used a simulator to create virtual spaces where hunters could fight against other hunters or monsters.

Since it was separated for guild members ranked A-rank or higher, the training room was quiet. When the people who had arrived earlier made eye contact with Eunsae, they flinched and greeted her with their eyes.

“It’s Hunter Yoo Eunsae.”

“She came alone without the monsters?”

“That’s interesting. I don’t see any other S-ranks either.”

The guild members whispered as they looked at Eunsae. They found it strange that she had come to the training room alone.

Eunsae responded to the whispering guild members with a smile and took her position. She turned on the simulator and waited for a moment. After completing her biometric scan, the machine gave an announcement.

[S-rank Hunter Yoo Eunsae, would you like to set the training difficulty?]

“Hmm, should I start from Level 28?”

The simulator had up to 30 levels. One of the good things about this place was that the difficulty could be adjusted in detail.

Level 28 was comparable to an S-rank dungeon. However, the types and number of monsters that appeared were adjusted so that one person could clear it.

[Training will begin.]

As soon as the simulator’s difficulty was set and the announcement ended, monsters poured out. Eunsae moved and flew through the monsters in all directions, holding Veil Karas’s staff.

Grrrrr!

A monster breathed out blazing flames. Eunsae jumped high and landed behind the monster, activating the skill ‘Catch Me If You Can.’ Her movements gradually picked up speed.

Unable to catch Eunsae no matter how close it came, the monster released flames in every direction.

“Hah!”

The power that had been compressed for an instant by the skill ‘No Retreat’ remained in Veil Karas’s staff before exploding. The monster struck by Eunsae’s swinging staff was reduced to a tattered mess, its shape no longer recognizable.

Kkyak! Kkyak!

Next was a bat monster. The monster known as the Grave-Dwelling Vampire Bat attacked with ultrasonic waves. However, Eunsae’s status-effect resistance skill blocked them.

Eunsae gathered her supernatural power into Veil Karas’s staff and threw it into the sky. The sharply honed supernatural power tore through the monster’s wings.

The monster that had been flying in the sky suddenly fell. It crawled across the ground and charged at Eunsae.

Its sharp teeth cut Eunsae’s arm. The monster became excited when it saw blood.

But Eunsae did not panic. She used another monster that was approaching to take care of the Grave-Dwelling Vampire Bat.

In that way, Eunsae smashed the monsters that swarmed toward her, one by one or several at the same time. Beads of sweat fell from her body.

‘Lord Belquior is strong.’

As she kicked a monster away, Eunsae thought about it. When she had stayed behind with Belquior on the Sacrifice Stage in the Daejeon Maze Dungeon, she had seen his true power.

A force so powerful that it had momentarily caused the system to malfunction had swept through the area. Monsters were helplessly cut apart by the golden magic power that surged like waves, and Eunsae could do nothing but stare in amazement.

Eunsae clenched her teeth.

‘I want to get stronger.’

Thud!

The monster struck by Veil Karas’s staff rolled mercilessly across the floor.

“Huff, huff…”

Eunsae wiped the sweat running down her face with the back of her hand. When her friends had been inspired by Belquior, she had thought nothing of it.

But the reason she was having these thoughts now was because her feelings had changed.

‘I want to be useful to Lord Belquior.’

After seeing Belquior’s power in the Daejeon Dungeon, Eunsae had realized how much she was lacking. It was helplessness she had not felt in a long time.

Eunsae didn’t simply want to be protected by Belquior. She wanted to stand beside him, side by side.

Of course, she knew it was difficult in reality. She wasn’t thinking that, as a human, she could dare to surpass a dragon. Even young Byeol was already that strong.

This was Eunsae’s own desire. The desire to stand beside Belquior. What could she do to become stronger?

Beep!

[S-rank Hunter Yoo Eunsae, you have successfully completed Level 28 training.]

“Immediately deploy the Level 29 field!”

Eunsae kept moving without resting to clear her mind. Her stamina had dropped below half, but Eunsae did not stop.

The final Level 30. Every single monster was difficult to deal with.

There were also far too many of them, so Eunsae’s movements gradually slowed. After defeating about half of the monsters, an enemy appeared before Eunsae that she could never defeat alone.

“Haa…”

Eunsae held Veil Karas’s staff as sweat dripped from her body. Just as she was about to stomp the ground and fly toward the monster—

“Yoo Eunsae, why are you pushing yourself this hard?”

Yuha was standing behind her.
