Correction Chapter 20
“Kim Joohwan… you mentioned… correction before, right?”
But Joohwan couldn’t ask. The next words out of Jungmin’s mouth were too unexpected.
“…I did.”
“If it’s not too late… I want… correction.”
“What?”
“You said it before, that there’s such a thing as correction! You said that if you sleep with an Alpha, you can become an Omega. That’s right! I have to sleep with an Alpha, right? I’ll do it. Even if you say I have to do it with multiple people, I’ll do it. As long as I can become an Omega.”
A sudden rage boiled inside him. Joohwan clenched his fists. He felt an unknown fury slowly consuming him, yet he couldn’t stop himself.
“Are you. In your right mind?”
“I am.”
“You’re crazy.”
“Yeah, even I think I’m crazy right now.”
“What is it about Yoo Shinwoo that makes you go this far? That man doesn’t care if you’re an Alpha or an Omega. He has no intention of accepting you.”
“I know.”
“No, you don’t.”
“I know!”
When Jungmin yelled, Joohwan grabbed him by the collar. He intended to intimidate him, but Jungmin didn’t flinch. Instead, he looked up at Joohwan with defiant eyes.
That’s right. This was Shin Jungmin. He was weaker and more easily angered by insults directed at Yoo Shinwoo than at himself. It was an emotion Kim Joohwan could never understand.
“Do you think Yoo Shinwoo would understand you like this?”
“I don’t expect him to.”
He didn’t expect understanding, but he wanted to receive love from that Alpha. Wasn’t that contradictory? As expected, it made no sense.
“But I can at least have a chance. If I become an Omega, maybe…”
If he were an Alpha, that chance would be taken away from the start. He wouldn’t even be able to try. He couldn’t bear that.
“I have to become an Omega… I want to have him, Yoo Shinwoo. He’s my Alpha.”
My Alpha.
As soon as he heard those words, he gritted his teeth. An unpleasant feeling rose from deep within him at Shin Jungmin’s incomprehensible emotions and actions. The discomfort gradually gnawed at him, starting to suppress his reason.
“This is insane. Haha.”
“I want to be an Omega. I have to be an Omega. Not an Alpha. An Omega… I have to be an Omega.”
Jungmin muttered as if praying, as if chanting a spell. It seemed as if nothing remained in his world except the need to become an Omega. An Alpha could love an Alpha too. But for Jungmin, that option didn’t exist.
“There’s no time. So I’ll ask. Kim Joohwan, how can I do it?”
Jungmin looked at him. His eyes were filled with desperate longing and a certain resolve. There wasn’t a trace of hesitation.
“You’ll need to find an Alpha for the correction, right?”
An Alpha.
With teary eyes, burning with fever, he desired sex with an Alpha, wishing to be penetrated. How Omega-like.
But it seemed God had chosen him to be an Alpha.
He wished to make him an Alpha, the greatest blessing in this world, yet the creation rejected God’s will. What would God do with such a creation? Would he discard it? Or would he grant its wish? Or would he force it to obey?
“You seem to be out of your mind because of the fever, so please go back to sleep.”
Joohwan decided to ignore Jungmin. He was about to leave the room, figuring that staying here would only lead him to resort to violence against Shin Jungmin after hearing more of his nonsense.
As soon as he turned around, there was a commotion behind him. Shin Jungmin had ripped out the IV needle from the back of his hand. The IV pole toppled over, and Jungmin, throwing back the blanket, stood up unsteadily.
Not knowing what he was trying to do, Joohwan watched him. Despite barely being able to stand, Jungmin, having somehow regained his balance, brushed past Joohwan, grabbed the doorknob, and opened the door. He was trying to escape Joohwan’s territory, clinging to the wall.
As soon as he realized this, Joohwan walked towards Jungmin. The sick patient’s pace was easily caught by the enraged Alpha. Joohwan grabbed Jungmin’s wrist.
“Where are you trying to go, in that condition?!”
“Get lost. Fuck… Why did I even come to you… fuck…!”
His pride was hurt. Coming to this bastard was a mistake, Jungmin thought. His whole body trembled. He was willing to sell himself to even God if he could. That’s how desperate and urgent he felt. Why did he come here of all places during this precious golden time!
“I said let go.”
“If you tell me where you’re going, I’ll take you there.”
“I don’t need your help.”
He was tired. Joohwan was reaching his limit in suppressing his surging Alpha instincts. Originally, dominant Alphas had difficulty controlling their anger and experienced extreme mood swings. There was even a saying that mocked dominant Alphas: “A dominant Alpha is a walking time bomb.”
Their possessiveness, temper, and stubbornness were all at their peak, and at their worst.
Dominant Alphas were superior among Alphas, so without such a temper, it would be difficult to stand above the inherently arrogant Alphas. It was that kind of a dog-eat-dog world.
“Senior, no. Shin Jungmin…”
Joohwan sighed and rubbed his forehead.
“Where are you going? Tell me, and I’ll take you. Who said I’d stop you? So answer me. Where are you going?”
Kim Joohwan spoke calmly, emphasizing each word. But he didn’t realize the atmosphere was growing heavy.
“I don’t need it. If you let go, I’ll go myself.”
Jungmin forcefully twisted his wrist free from Joohwan’s grip. With the little strength he had recovered, he desperately tried to run, but Joohwan grabbed him by the back of his neck. Being caught again, Jungmin felt utterly frustrated.
“Fucking let go!! Let go!! I don’t have time!! I don’t want to be an Alpha. A fucking Alpha… fuck… fuck…”
“So what? Are you going to just any Alpha right now? To ask for correction?”
“So what if I am?”
Jungmin retorted, looking directly at Joohwan without a moment’s hesitation. Their eyes locked. Seeing those eyes, Joohwan’s Alpha instincts overwhelmed his reason. He was furious. Everything about Shin Jungmin stirred something deep within him, within his Alpha.
It had been like this ever since he met him. He hadn’t been able to get angry because everything about Jungmin seemed so naive. He had thought of him as incomplete. Although a year older, he thought he should be lenient because he wasn’t fully mature yet.
As Kim Joohwan, not as an Alpha? He found Jungmin’s insistent behavior amusing. He found his hopeless one-sided love pathetic. Yet, his arrogance was entertaining.
He had thought Jungmin would continue to amuse him. But he was wrong.
He was tedious. The way he was willing to ruin the rest of his life over a naive first love was ridiculous. Was he this foolish? Fine. He wants to be ruined? Then I’ll drag him down.
Joohwan’s grip tightened, and Jungmin gasped as his neck was pulled back. Joohwan, catching Jungmin’s waist as he struggled, sighed and kissed his white neck.
The faint scent of Alpha rose.
Yes, he was the one who had told Jungmin about correction. It was a kind of joke, meant to mock him, but it wasn’t entirely fabricated. It was just a rumor, like an urban legend.
“What are you…”
Jungmin asked, pushing Joohwan away.
“Why look far for an Alpha? You have a dominant Alpha right in front of you.”
“What…”
Jungmin’s eyes widened as he understood Joohwan’s meaning, and he stumbled backward.
“N-no. I don’t want to do it with you. Not you. I didn’t come here to ask you for that…”
Jungmin truly hadn’t intended that. He had come to Joohwan to ask about correction. That’s why he couldn’t comprehend Joohwan’s words. He felt repulsed.
Meanwhile, Joohwan rolled up his shirt sleeves and took a step closer to the retreating Jungmin. He was releasing his pheromones. He wouldn’t be an Alpha if he let his intended prey escape.
Whether Alpha or Omega, being directly exposed to dominant pheromones was difficult. Omegas would go into heat, and Alphas would kneel.
Jungmin’s legs trembled, losing strength, and he eventually collapsed to the floor.
“Young Master. What’s going on?”
The butler came upstairs, hearing the commotion. Joohwan carefully embraced the fallen Jungmin and spoke to the butler.
“Don’t come upstairs from now on, no matter what you hear. I’ll call you if I need you. And if anyone comes looking for me, refuse them. Mother, Father, even if it’s God.”
“Yes? Oh, yes… I understand.”
Even an Omega, no matter how receptive, would feel pain the first time, so how much would it hurt an Alpha to be penetrated? He would probably scream terribly.
Thinking this, Joohwan looked down at Jungmin, who was sitting on the floor, resisting him with his whole being. A smirk briefly played on his lips before hardening as he grabbed Jungmin by the collar, dragged him into the room, and slammed the door shut.
