Correction Chapter 5

Without any greetings, he was about to leave when the junior suddenly introduced himself. Stopping and looking at him, he looked at Jungmin and gave a small smile before returning to his book as if he had quickly lost interest. Thinking what an unpleasant guy, Jungmin left the library.

And the next day, Jungmin understood why Kim Joohwan had greeted him. He was the only son of the co-investor in his father’s newly started business.

Jungmin and Youngmin’s father was the head of a large corporation that was one of the top 10 companies in South Korea.

Although his wife was Jungmin and Youngmin’s mother, he knew very well that she was not his legal wife. Youngmin didn’t have that sense, but Jungmin did. In a large house, his father came back once a week, and his mother always longed for that father.

And the year Jungmin and Youngmin turned 10, he divorced his legal wife. And half-siblings met at family gatherings….

Those siblings were unfamiliar and scary, but fortunately, they didn’t hate the twins. They just looked at them with endlessly pitying eyes, as if to say, ‘What did you do wrong…?’.

The ages of the older siblings were all in their 20s, and some were in their 30s. He thought he wouldn’t be able to get close to them, but fortunately, they were able to get along well after that, and after they all got married and became independent, the twins and their mother were able to formally move into that house.

His mother was a shameless woman, but she was a woman who knew what she had done. Therefore, she could never raise her head to her siblings, and she voluntarily wrote a pledge not to touch the property when she entered the house, and the twins also wrote a pledge not to interfere in the management rights. Thanks to this, at least a minimum of friction could be avoided. In a way, the twins’ mother was a clever woman.

Jungmin was shocked to find out before he was old enough to understand that his mother was the second wife, but the reason he couldn’t hate his father was because his father always treated his mother and him well, even though he only came once a week.

Later, he heard two shocking stories from his older brothers. One was that his father’s mistress also had a long-term mistress, and it was said that it was a pre-nuptial agreement. And another was that his father had never praised his older brothers.

He had never even seen him laugh at home…. On the other hand, Jungmin and Youngmin always received their father’s praise, and Jungmin was surprised because he remembered his father hugging the twins and laughing, and having a happy day of the week.

What his father liked the most was introducing Jungmin and Youngmin to his acquaintances and showing them off. Thanks to this, he was very used to introducing himself and greeting unknown uncles since he was a child.

This time, he went downstairs, assuming that his father was calling for that, and he saw a good-looking middle-aged man next to a face he had already met – and that had left a bad impression – Jungmin was surprised.

“Wow, he’s so handsome.”

Youngmin, who was coming down the stairs, whispered to Jungmin, looking at the boy standing in the living room.

“Really?”

“Yeah, I think he’s more handsome than Shinwoo hyung.”

Youngmin was being overly enthusiastic, but Jungmin cut him off and said no. No matter what, he’s not as handsome as Shinwoo hyung. Shinwoo hyung’s face is like a sculpture that a master has meticulously carved, but that face is too… no, anyway, he’s not as handsome as Shinwoo hyung. Jungmin scoffed inwardly and came down the stairs and greeted his father and the first man he had ever seen.

“Hello. I’m Shin Jungmin.”

“Hello. I’m Shin Youngmin.”

“Oh my, I’m really honored to meet the twins that Chairman Shin is so proud of. Nice to meet you.”

After finishing the greeting and sitting on the sofa, Chairman Shin began boasting about his twin sons again, chuckling.

“Come to think of it, Kim Joohwan is in the same high school as you guys.”

“Wow, really?”

Youngmin said, smiling brightly. Kim Joohwan nodded.

“Yes, and we were in the same elementary and middle schools as the two sunbaes. You two probably didn’t know.”

“Wow- I didn’t know. That’s amazing.”

Looking at Youngmin, who kept saying “daebak (amazing),” Jungmin sighed. Why is he showing so much affection? Jungmin wanted to get up and study one more character. But his father didn’t help. He just said, “The kids should go play since the adults have something to talk about.” It’s not like he’s a kid anymore.

“Yes! I understand! Leave Joohwan to us and you two talk! Joohwan! Let’s go!”

“Yes.”

Judging by the fact that his tone has gone up, it seems Youngmin is the most excited right now. Youngmin grabbed Joohwan’s hand, lifted him up, and went up to the second floor together. Jungmin also greeted his parents and cautiously got up and followed them with heavy steps. I should just let those two play and study.

“Jungmin, let’s go to your room!”

“What? Why my room? You have a room too.”

“We always went to your room together when Shinwoo hyung came, why are you acting so strange now?”

Youngmin stuck out his tongue and opened the door to Jungmin’s room with Joohwan. When the neatly organized room came into view, Joohwan’s face looked a little impressed.

“Jungmin sunbae’s room is really clean.”

“Right? It’s annoying. Sometimes. Even when the aunt cleans it, he wipes and cleans it himself. It’s not like he has a cleanliness obsession.”

Youngmin, on his own, sat Joohwan on the sofa in Jungmin’s room and talked badly about Jungmin. Whether they were talking or not, Jungmin sat at his desk and finished his studies.

“What are you doing. Let’s sit here and talk~ Let’s play~!”

Youngmin was causing a ruckus, leaning on the sofa. If he didn’t hang out with them, he probably wouldn’t break that stubbornness, and the atmosphere wouldn’t be conducive to studying, so Jungmin put down his pen.

“If you want to talk, bring some tea or fruit. What is this for a guest?”

“Oh, right. I have to tell the aunt!”

Youngmin swaggered out of the room. Only then did peace come to the room, and Jungmin ran his hand through his hair.

“Youngmin sunbae is cute.”

Jungmin felt bad at Joohwan’s words, as if he was impressed. How long had he seen him to say he’s cute?

“Oh, but Jungmin sunbae is cute too.”

Jungmin’s mood got even worse. The words, as if he was doing a favor, only added to his aversion to Joohwan.

“Why do I have to hear that kind of story from you?”

“I was just telling the truth… I apologize if you felt bad.”

Why is that high schooler’s tone like that? It’s not like he’s a senior citizen. He started to dislike everything about Kim Joohwan.

“Wow, Joohwan, you haven’t manifested yet either?”

Youngmin asked, eating the fruit and super star oranges brought by the aunt. Then Joohwan nodded.

“Yes. But I heard that the probability of becoming an Alpha is high.”

“Can you tell things like that?”

“Oh, it probably won’t be commercialized. Our group researches and makes medical devices and things like that. So, we sometimes test with experimental machines.”

“Can we try it too?”

Youngmin’s eyes sparkled. Jungmin hesitated. Can you tell if you will be an Alpha or an Omega? It’s intriguing, but…

“Jungmin, aren’t you curious?”

“No, not really.”

“Why~~?”

“It’s no fun if I know beforehand. I’ll wait.”

“I think it’s good… You can prepare in advance. Then, Joohwan, can’t I get tested in advance?”

“Um, probably not. It’s not commercialized yet… I’ll let you know when it’s commercialized. Of course, the sunbaes might awaken first.”

“I see~”

Youngmin soon lost interest and put the strawberries back in his mouth, munching. After that, they talked about trivial and boring things. Since it wasn’t an environment to study, Jungmin, who was leaning against the bed, thought of other things. Like… preparing when he becomes an Omega… or something.

After Joohwan came to Jungmin and Youngmin’s house, he started to see him more often. One reason was because of Youngmin, who often invited Joohwan to his house or visited him at school.

For a while, Shinwoo couldn’t play with the twins due to the student council work, so Joohwan took his place. Naturally, Jungmin was dissatisfied, and that dissatisfaction soon turned into displeasure, and he decided not to attend the gatherings where Youngmin and Joohwan were together anymore.

But fate was also cruel, and as soon as he made that decision, Shinwoo was released from the student council and came to visit Youngmin and Jungmin after a long time, and Joohwan was there.

Shinwoo looked quite embarrassed to see Youngmin stuck to Joohwan’s side.

“Uh… who?”

“Wow, doesn’t Shinwoo hyung know? He’s the big star of our school these days. Kim Joohwan! He’s in his first year.”

Youngmin said as if he didn’t know how he could not know Joohwan, as if he was his fan club president. But Shinwoo seemed to be more concerned with his hand than with Youngmin’s words. Youngmin’s hand was holding Joohwan’s arm.

Seeing Shinwoo frowning, Jungmin’s heart ached. He didn’t like Shinwoo looking at Youngmin like that, and he didn’t like being upset, or jealous, to see that. What does hyung lack? With that feeling, Jungmin held Shinwoo’s arm. Shinwoo looked at Jungmin, surprised.

“Hyung, sit down. What are you doing? Are you bragging about how tall you are?”

“Did it seem that way?”

“Yeah.”
