Correction Chapter 50

Author: nicotine

Jungmin opened the door, intending to leave Soohan’s house immediately.

“Ughh….”

But the pained groan from Soohan behind him stopped him in his tracks. He didn’t know why Soohan had done that. Did he mistake me for an omega? Or did he just want to do it?

Why on earth… was it just drunken antics…. Jungmin knew better than anyone that Soohan wasn’t that kind of person, so he couldn’t just leave him.

Right, he must have made a mistake while drunk. He was with an omega, so that could happen….

Jungmin closed the door he had opened, took off his shoes, and went back inside. Soohan’s pheromones had subsided, almost completely disappearing. Jungmin let out a sigh of relief, laid Soohan properly on the bed, and curled up on the sofa himself, closing his eyes.

Was it because he had slept uncomfortably? He woke up early. Getting up from the sofa, he looked towards the bed and saw Soohan was still sleeping.

6 a.m….. It was almost time for Soohan to go to work, so Jungmin got up and went to the kitchen. Wanting to make something good for his hangover, he looked around and thankfully found a 3-minute instant dried pollack soup. He heated that up and cooked some rice.

At home, his mother wouldn’t let him cook, so he couldn’t, but Jungmin actually enjoyed cooking.

He thought that creating something and being able to feed someone with it was a task just as rewarding as being a doctor.

“All done.”

Even though the pollack soup was pre-seasoned, it was cooked to satisfaction, and the rice was done too, so he thought he should probably wake Soohan up. But just as he was about to, a worry crept in: ‘What if he remembers what happened last night?’

“No. It’s no big deal.”

He should just be cool about it, as if nothing happened. If hyung remembers, it would be best to tease him about why he made such a mistake. The best-case scenario would be that Ji Soohan didn’t remember at all….

Jungmin scratched his head and took a step to wake Soohan, then jumped in surprise. Soohan was sitting up in bed, staring intently at Jungmin.

“Hyung… you’re awake?”

“……”

It was strangely awkward. Still, Jungmin forced a smile and set the table.

“Wash up and eat before you’re late.”

“……”

“I cooked for the first time in a really long time. Can’t guarantee the taste though….”

As if his mind hadn’t fully returned, Soohan staggered out of bed and went into the bathroom. Jungmin let out a big sigh. It seemed like eating together would be difficult. Just then, a loud clattering sound came from the bathroom, and Jungmin rushed over.

“Hyung? Hyung, what’s wrong?”

He knocked on the door, but there was no answer. When he pressed his ear to it, he could only hear the sound of water running from the shower.

“Soohan hyung, I’m coming in.”

Jungmin grabbed the doorknob and pulled it down. Fortunately, the door wasn’t locked.

“Hyung! Are you okay?”

Soohan was sitting on the floor, getting drenched by the water, as if he had fallen.

Soohan didn’t answer, as if he were still not sober. He just kept his head down, taking the full force of the water pouring from the showerhead. The problem was that the water was cold. Jungmin quickly turned off the shower, brought a towel, and draped it over Soohan.

“I want to be alone.”

“Hyung….”

“Please… Jungmin…. Let me be alone.”

“…Okay.”

Jungmin left the bathroom.

“Haah….”

It seemed he couldn’t stay in this house any longer. Jungmin took off the apron and, still in his wet clothes, grabbed the luggage he hadn’t been able to unpack and left Soohan’s house. He worried about where to go. He couldn’t go home yet, as he hadn’t heard from Sooeun that she’d left the hotel. He had no choice but to go to a nearby hotel.

As soon as he checked in and entered the room, he lay down on the large, soft bed. He didn’t eat anything, didn’t do anything, just slept. What woke him was a single phone call from Soohan.

─ Where are you now?

A heavy voice came through.

“S Hotel.”

─ …I’m coming.

Even though he’d told him to rest today, Soohan insisted on coming to the hotel. His face still didn’t look good. Standing by the door, unable to come all the way in, he looked at Jungmin with a worse expression than he’d had in the early morning when he was dead drunk.

“Hyung, are you okay? You don’t need to go to the hospital?”

“I’m fine.”

He smiled bitterly and muttered, “Even in this situation, you’re worried about me.” Then, another long silence followed.

“About this morning… I’m sorry.”

This time, Soohan spoke first.

“It’s nothing. There’s nothing for you to apologize for, hyung. I’m actually worried that I made you uncomfortable.”

“It’s absolutely not that. It was me being immature.”

“I’m okay, hyung.”

“Jungmin.”

“Yes.”

“I don’t know if I’m going crazy… but I can’t put on the brakes anymore.”

“Pardon?”

“…Last night… I dreamt that I was holding you.”

Jungmin sucked in a breath.

“That sensation remains vividly. On my hands. On my body….”

Soohan looked at his own palm once, then clenched it into a tight fist.

“Even though I knew it was a dream, I released the brakes. If you hadn’t left like that in the morning… I think I would have taken you, just like in the dream. That’s why I had no choice but to push you away.”

Seeing Jungmin’s back as he cooked for him, he had wanted to hug him from behind and kiss him right there. He’d wanted to caress his well-defined muscles, lay him down, and then….

“…Did you drink more before you came…?”

Jungmin swallowed dryly and managed to say a word. Soohan shook his head and smiled.

“Shin Jungmin…. Jungmin. If you knew what I just imagined, you wouldn’t be able to look me in the face and talk like this.”

Jungmin’s body went rigid.

“Hyung, you should go back. I’ll go to work from here tomorrow.”

As Jungmin tried to turn away, a tremendous force suddenly grabbed him from behind and pulled him into an embrace.

A large body trembled, whispering something into Jungmin’s ear.

“Hyung, let go of me.”

Jungmin clenched his fists. It seemed he would have no choice but to hit him again.

“I like you. No… I love you.”

No.

“Somehow… I think I’ve fallen in love with you, Jungmin.”

That can’t be….

“Jungmin….”

It’s impossible….

“You’re… mistaken.”

“Jungmin….”

“It doesn’t make sense. It’s something that can’t happen. Isn’t it?”

An alpha loving an alpha… that’s impossible.

A strange scene unfolded at the hospital.

Shin Jungmin and Ji Soohan, having returned to the hospital after their leave, were engaged in a chase scene from the morning on.

The sight was so bizarre that everyone in the hospital, from doctors to nurses, was observing the two of them. Thanks to that, there was no interest at all in the other person who had returned from leave, Ji Sooeun.

On the other hand, Ji Sooeun was surprised to see that the distance between Soohan and Jungmin had grown so much in the few days she had been enjoying a sweet time.

Furthermore, Jungmin acted awkwardly towards her as well. When she approached him to greet him warmly upon seeing his face in the morning, he gave a reluctant, simple greeting and disappeared, so she couldn’t have any conversation with him.

The friend-like person who had always smiled brightly and taken care of her was suddenly turning a cold shoulder, so Ji Sooeun couldn’t help but worry. In the end, she grabbed her brother and dragged him up to the rooftop.

A great deal of annoyance and anger could be felt from Ji Soohan. Sooeun was surprised, as she could tell just by seeing the man who was usually so good at managing his pheromones now letting them leak out, revealing his emotions.

“Oppa, what’s wrong? And why is Mr. Jungmin acting like that?”

Soohan clicked his tongue, then ran a hand through his hair. He was annoyed. And frustrated.

Ever since he had confessed his love to Jungmin, Jungmin had been avoiding him like this. He was pushing Soohan away with pheromones full of rejection and wariness, warning him not to come close.

Of course, he admitted he had been hasty. But he hadn’t known he would push him away this much. Still, he couldn’t honestly tell Sooeun about his current worries. He wanted to avoid anything that might cause harm to Jungmin.

“We had a bit of a fight. I’m apologizing, but he’s not accepting it.”

“Oppa… how old are you? If Mr. Jungmin is that angry, how badly did you mess up?”

“I had a pretty bad drunken tantrum. You don’t worry about it. I’ll beg for his forgiveness.”

“Oh, for goodness’ sake… hurry up and sort it out. I’ve never seen Mr. Jungmin like that before.”

“Yeah, I’ll try.”

After Sooeun went down from the rooftop, Soohan remained alone, cooling his head.

But his heart wouldn’t cool down. He had never thought he would have these kinds of feelings. A possessiveness he had never felt for any omega boiled up whenever he saw Jungmin.

It sounded perverted, but it seemed the alpha’s possessive desire to embrace and hold on tighter the more one ran away had firmly taken root.

But he couldn’t just coil around Jungmin like a snake. He had to show him that his feelings were sincere.
