Correction Chapter 7

“Shinwoo hyung… what do you think I’ll be?”

He cautiously asked the question he had asked before… again.

“Didn’t I tell you before?”

I know. I remember. But that’s not the answer I want.

“I think you’ll be an Alpha.”

Shinwoo said, remembering the question Jungmin had asked. Jungmin’s shoulders slumped.

“And you said you thought you’d be an Omega.”

You remembered.

“Yeah. I think I’ll be an Omega. I want to be an Omega.”

“It’d be good to be an Alpha. Your parents seem to want you to be an Alpha… Well, what does it matter. Your opinion is what’s important. Jungmin, you want to be an Omega?”

“Yeah.”

“Why do you want to be an Omega so much?”

“…I… want to have children.”

The child of the person I like. I want to have a child that resembles him, for him.

“What?”

Shinwoo looked at Jungmin, surprised as if he had heard an unexpected answer.

“I… want to have children. I’m curious what it’s like. Giving birth to a life and raising it…”

Shinwoo hyung… I want to have your child.

At Jungmin’s words, Shinwoo made a complicated expression. And soon, he downed his cola in one gulp, snatched the can from Jungmin’s hand, and crushed it.

“You’re still a kid, and there’s nothing you can’t say. Study more, you punk.”

Shinwoo laughed and ruffled Jungmin’s hair as if to get revenge for being hit earlier, then stood up.

“Ah, I think I need to stop by the student council room for a bit…”

Shinwoo said, looking at his wristwatch. Jungmin sighed.

Has it only been about 5 minutes since we were alone? It was a happy but very short time.

“Yeah, go ahead.”

“What about you?”

“I’ll go in when the bell rings.”

“Okay. Got it. See you later.”

“Yeah.”

Watching Shinwoo leave, Jungmin brought his knees together and buried his head.

‘Idiot… Stupid. Insensitive human. Just you wait. I’ll definitely become an Omega and throw myself at Shinwoo hyung. I’ll just pounce on him.’

Jungmin crushed his empty cola can and sighed deeply.

“Unexpected.”

Jungmin was startled by the sudden voice from behind. The owner of the voice walked out from behind the water tank.

“…Kim Joohwan.”

Since when has he been there?

“Sunbae… you wanted to be an Omega?”

“Eavesdropping on other people’s conversations is a nasty hobby.”

Jungmin dusted off his pants and stood up. He no longer felt any reason to stay there.

“I wasn’t eavesdropping, I was here before you, sunbae.”

“Oh, really?”

Should he thank him for not ruining their time together? As Jungmin irritably tried to leave, Joohwan grabbed his arm.

“What?”

Jungmin tried to pull away, but Joohwan’s grip was so strong that he couldn’t move, and he frowned.

“Aren’t you going to let go?”

“Do you want Shinwoo sunbae’s child that badly?”

Jungmin’s heart dropped. He felt the strength drain from his body.

“What?”

“It was quite touching. Although it seems the person who received the confession doesn’t know.”

“You… how…”

“You want to ask how I know? There’s no way I wouldn’t know.”

Kim Joohwan laughed as if it was ridiculous.

“Do you know how Omega-like your eyes look when you look at Shinwoo sunbae? Hold me. Look at me.”

Kim Joohwan, who was speaking casually, bent down and whispered in Jungmin’s ear.

“Give me your seed.”

He felt humiliated but couldn’t refute it. Because it was true.

And he was sad. If someone he barely knew could tell, why didn’t the person himself know?

“So. What’s the point you’re trying to make?”

Jungmin asked, looking directly at Joohwan. There was no reason for him to hear this from this guy, and it wasn’t something to be ashamed of.

“I just felt like praying too. Because I saw someone’s desperation for the first time today.”

“Pray?”

“I’ll also pray that you become an Omega, sunbae.”

“Don’t jinx it. I don’t need your prayers.”

As Joohwan shrugged and loosened his grip on his arm, Jungmin forcefully shook him off and quickly left the rooftop. He felt a gaze from behind but deliberately ignored it.

And the second semester of their second year arrived, and time began to fly by. Shinwoo hyung got accepted into the medical school of Korea University, which he had longed for. Hyung, who wanted to create a world without sick children, majored in pediatrics and was taking a step closer to his dream.

And not long after that good news, the calmly flowing water began to scatter in two directions.

“I’m sick. I’m sick!!”

Youngmin had been complaining since dawn. But the pain was not a lie. Worried about Youngmin, who was crying with a high fever, his mother and father called the family doctor early in the morning.

The doctor, who rushed over, examined Youngmin and put him on an IV. Fortunately, after a while, Youngmin calmed down, and after examining the sleeping Youngmin once more, the doctor wiped the sweat from his forehead and spoke to the worried family.

“It’s the presentation fever.”

“Oh my.”

“Finally!”

The twins’ parents were happy, but Jungmin was confused.

‘Why…’

He wasn’t sick at all. Since they were twins, he thought they would naturally present on the same day, but compared to himself, who was perfectly fine, Youngmin was gradually changing.

“Oh my, then won’t Jungmin present too?”

His parents’ eyes turned to Jungmin. Jungmin’s heart pounded. He had heard that some people don’t have symptoms when they present, could he be one of them?

“Jungmin, how are you? Are you sick anywhere?”

“I don’t feel sick. But, doctor, please examine me too.”

“Yes, alright.”

The doctor sat Jungmin down, examined him, and made a diagnosis. He also took out a kit that could determine presentation status and dropped a drop of blood on it. The result after waiting for 5 minutes wasn’t the answer he wanted.

“Don’t be disappointed, Jungmin. Since Youngmin has presented, it won’t be long for you either. Alright?”

“That’s right, Jungmin. You’ll present soon too.”

“Yes…”

Jungmin left his happy parents behind and slightly opened the door to Youngmin’s room.

Youngmin’s whole body was drenched in sweat. Jungmin looked at him with envy. He shouldn’t, but he was so jealous of Youngmin that he felt like he was going crazy. Was he such a rotten person inside?

“Jungmin…”

Youngmin slightly opened his eyes, looked at Jungmin, and reached out his hand. Jungmin took his hand. And he knelt down and prayed. It was a foolish and selfish prayer. You absolutely cannot present as an Omega. Not you.

But God didn’t answer Jungmin’s prayer. After being sick for a whole week, Youngmin presented as an Omega.

After Youngmin presented as an Omega, Jungmin’s anxiety doubled. The presentation fever that wouldn’t come to him… He even worried that his unresponsive body would stop growing altogether.

Alpha was the worst, but Beta was also the worst. He had to become an Omega. Jungmin clenched his fists in anguish.

“Jungmin! What are you doing!”

It was the day Youngmin went to school for the first time after presenting as an Omega. As soon as he presented, he received basic education as an Omega at the hospital, registered with the government, and had many things to do.

“If you don’t come out soon, I’m going to school first!”

Was this what an Omega was like? Youngmin was glowing. The already bright child was shining even brighter, giving the illusion of a halo shimmering behind his head.

Was it because he hadn’t eaten properly for ten days? His frame became thinner, and his face became delicately slim. His hair became much softer, and his skin was like white jade. It was as if he had shed his skin. Jungmin compared himself to Youngmin in the mirror. Their appearances were clearly different. It was now difficult to say they were twins. Everything had changed in just half a month.

“Since I presented first! You have to call me hyung now!”

Youngmin said to Jungmin, straightening his shoulders. Jungmin scoffed.

“You’re kidding, right?”

“Hey!”

As Jungmin stepped out the front door first, Youngmin hurried after him. And he linked arms with Jungmin.

“Hey, hey. Do you think everyone will be surprised that I presented as an Omega?”

No, I don’t think they’ll be surprised. Many people expected you to be an Omega. I also thought you would be an Omega. The question was whether I was an Omega or not. I thought you only had one option. Jungmin thought to himself but didn’t say anything. He just kept his mouth shut and listened to Youngmin chattering.

His voice had also become as pretty as a bird’s. It became a clear and pleasant voice to listen to.

And what was even more surprising were the gazes of the people they passed on the street… Because they were twins, people’s eyes always followed them, but today was different. Whether they were Alphas or Betas, men and women alike looked at Youngmin. They scanned Youngmin’s body from head to toe. He felt uncomfortable as his older brother, but at the same time, he was jealous of Youngmin.

Receiving people’s attention like this… with everyone finding him pretty… Shinwoo hyung would be no different, right? Anxiety crept up on him. They would arrive at school soon, and he didn’t want to show Youngmin to Shinwoo.
