The F-Rank Guild Master Has Too Much Money Chapter 68
As I panicked at the sight of her looking like she might burst into tears at any moment, Emelyn Kiyo suddenly sprang to her feet.
“I—I need to use the bathroom!”
“Huh? Uh, if you go outside—”
“I know!”
☆ Urgent, I Guess has donated 100 Mana Stones. ☆
She was insanely fast. Seriously.
☆ During a Monster Wave has donated 100 Mana Stones. ☆
Did you see that? She shot off like a bullet. Wow~
Somehow, she knew exactly where the bathroom was in someone else’s house. Just as the gods had said, Emelyn Kiyo shot off like a bullet, and moments later I heard the bathroom door slam shut.
All the mobs needed authorization to go outside, so they were at the Hunter Association. Ji Yun-seo was with the gumiho as well, leaving the house completely quiet. Since Emelyn Kiyo was taking longer than expected, I sat there blankly as drowsiness slowly crept in.
☆ Sleeping has donated 100 Mana Stones. ☆
Your eyelids are fluttering.
☆ Wake up! has donated 100 Mana Stones. ☆
Sleeping isn’t fun! Wake up!
I tried to resist—it felt rude to fall asleep with a guest over—but maybe it was the medicine. I couldn’t keep my eyes open. Just as I forced my heavy eyelids apart, determined to at least say thank you, Emelyn Kiyo returned. The tips of her bangs were damp, as if she’d washed her face.
“Kiyo. Thank you.”
“Mm. Go to sleep.”
As she came closer, I noticed her eyes were red and puffy.
“Why—”
“Sleep.”
Emelyn Kiyo’s warm hand covered my eyes, and I drifted off.
* * *
“Guild Master. Please wake up for a moment.”
At the low voice, my eyes opened.
Emelyn Kiyo was already gone. Sitting where she’d been was Choi Tae-hyuk, dressed in comfortable, light clothing.
“Where’s Kiyo?”
“She left. Now, please sit up.”
Choi Tae-hyuk helped me up and propped me against the headboard, then brought over the bed tray I’d used at lunch. On it sat a pear. Lifting the neatly sliced top, he revealed the hollowed interior: the pear had been turned into a small bowl, filled with slices of ginger and jujube that swam in warm broth. Steam curled from it as he handed me a spoon.
“It’s baesuk. I simmered it thoroughly, so it should be easy to eat.”
T/N: Baesuk is a traditional Korean dessert made by hollowing out a pear and simmering it with ingredients such as ginger, jujubes, and honey. It’s commonly eaten warm and used as a home remedy for colds or sore throats.
“Who made this?”
“I did. Please eat it while it’s warm.”
Choi Tae-hyuk made this? The man who looked like he couldn’t cook a single thing?
“You seem pretty good at cooking.”
“I looked up the recipe and followed it. Please eat.”
At his urging, I scooped up some broth and brought it to my mouth.

So that’s what he was doing earlier, glued to his phone.
☆ So Dedicated has donated 100 Mana Stones. ☆
I’m all for it. I really like this hero.

A god and a hero can’t be together. It’s taboo.

I meant turning him into an angel—what kind of imagination do you people have?!
A sharp hit of ginger was followed by the sweetness of honey. The ginger made my throat sting slightly, but the warmth and sweetness made it impossible to stop. Once I finished the fully simmered pear, only the ginger and jujubes remained.
“Thank you for the meal.”
“You’re welcome.”
After clearing the tray and giving me my medicine, Choi Tae-hyuk laid me back down. Then, as if by habit, he checked my temperature through my ear—and frowned.
“The fever hasn’t gone down.”
“Come to think of it, I usually catch a cold around this time every year. I’ll be fine in a couple of days.”
I meant to reassure him, but instead his expression hardened—as if learning that I got sick regularly this time of year shocked him even more.
“Just in case, I’ll call Ms. An Bom.”
“What? But An Bom went out on dungeon support.”
“Then Emelyn Kiyo said she’d help if needed—”
“Don’t waste manpower over nothing!”
He didn’t even pretend to listen. As he turned to leave, I quickly sat up and grabbed his arm.
“Just… stay here and take care of me.”
Caught between his own thoughts and my request, Choi Tae-hyuk eventually sat back down. Letting out a quiet sigh of relief, I lay back again.
As he carefully tucked the blanket around me, he looked like he was about to stand up once more. I flinched, and he said,
“I’m just going to get something.”
“You’re not going to get a healer, right?”
“No.”
Still suspicious, I nodded anyway.
What Choi Tae-hyuk brought back was Yeon Do-jin’s blanket.
Ah. I never returned that…
He spread out the self-heating blanket over my upper body and carefully wrapped it around my neck. My stomach was already warm from the baesuk, and with the blanket on top of that, my entire body felt pleasantly warm.

Aether looks much more relaxed now.
“Did the hospital transfer go smoothly?”
“Yes. We decided to run additional tests along with the basic ones.”
“What about Kwon Beom-gaun?”
“She’s with her younger brother.”
Considering how she’d worried nonstop about her sibling even while suffering from awakening sickness, that made sense.
“Oh. And before going to the hospital, I stopped by Kwon Beom-gaun’s house.”
For Choi Tae-hyuk—who usually spoke so decisively—to trail off like that…
Just how bad was it?
“And?” I prompted.
“It’s not a suitable environment for a young student to be living alone.”
How bad could it be? When I looked at him, urging him to continue, he let out a sigh.
“It was a semi-basement. No sunlight. They call it ‘fully furnished,’ but it only had an old TV and a computer.”
Ah. So it was like my old place.
“Still, the landlord brings her food from time to time, so she said it helps reduce food expenses—”
“Huh?”
The landlord brings her food?
That sounded familiar. No sunlight, an old TV and computer…
Wait a second.
“By any chance… is the address in XX-dong?”
“Yes. How did you know?”
Wow.
So that’s why the money came in early—it was Kwon Beom-gaun’s deposit. Seriously—what kind of connection do she and I have, for our lives to keep crossing paths like this?
“Guild Master?”
“Oh—no, it’s nothing. How many empty rooms are left in the dorm right now?”
“Excluding your room, there are four available. But they’re on the men’s floor.”
No matter how urgent it was, leaving a young girl in a place full of men didn’t feel right.
“Let’s have her move into my house for now. There are plenty of empty rooms.”
“But—”
“She’s a minor. It’s better to have someone keep an eye on her than leave her alone. Besides, Gumiho and An Bom only sleep at the dorm anyway—they practically live here.”
Choi Tae-hyuk nodded, seeming to agree. That was when—
“Meow!”
“Kyuu!”

I was wondering where she went—so she went out with Gumiho! So cuteㅠㅠ

Every time Bia turns small like that, I love it so muchㅠ It makes me so happyㅠㅠ
“Uncle!”
“Guild Master, are you alright?”
Bia and Saphi burst into the room with Gumiho, who was carrying a stack of documents like she’d just come back from the office. Ji Yun-seo stood in the doorway, holding Kero—maybe she’d already heard what was going on.
☆ It’s Yun-seo! has donated 100 Mana Stones.☆
Our Yun-seo is cute today too. Truly an adorable soul!
☆ Seems a Bit Bigger has donated 100 Mana Stones.☆
Hard to tell from above, but she looks biggerㅠ She’s growing well, our Yun-seoㅠㅠ
“Hi, Yun-seo. Uncle’s fine, so go wash up. And Gumiho, please don’t come any closer—you might catch it.”
“Guild Master, I’m a gumiho. Human colds don’t affect me.”
“Oh. I see.”
So illnesses don’t transfer to other species—I learned something new today.
Bia, now in her adult form, climbed onto the bed and lay down beside me. She rested her head on my shoulder and began purring, while Saphi skillfully claimed the pillow next to me.
“Has the fever gone down a bit?” Gumiho asked.
Choi Tae-hyuk checked my temperature again. Maybe because I’d taken my medicine, slept well, and eaten baesuk, my fever had dropped compared to earlier.
“You’re better than this morning.”
“Must be because I’m being taken good care of.”
“Then may I give my report now?”
“Miss Gumiho, he’s still sick,” Choi Tae-hyuk scolded.
Still, he gently helped me sit up when I started moving.

He probably knows Aether would throw a fit if anyone tried to stop him.
Leaning back against the headboard, I took the documents Gumiho handed over.
“We successfully acquired four more dungeons at auction. We also purchased the requested equipment.”
I nodded as I skimmed through the papers. The more dungeons we owned, the better—the guild could run entirely on that income.
Hunters sometimes appeared on TV or in ads, but that was personal earnings; the guild didn’t take a cut. So steady dungeon revenue was the real backbone.
“And we received an invitation.”
It was the anniversary invitation that Yeon Do-jin had promised to send. A card that looked like solid gold, it had only a name and an unknown number written on it—no time or place listed.
“When is this for?”
“Next Friday. But Guild Master Yeon Do-jin said he won’t be attending.”
“Isn’t that his birthday?”
I looked up from the card at Gumiho, who passed me another sheet.
“He’s heading to a seminar in France. Actually, a new SS-rank dungeon just opened up, so he’s going in there instead. He called to say he can’t make it.”
“Ah.”
A Yeon Do-jin birthday party without Yeon Do-jin himself. What was even the point of the fancy golden card? Seriously, if he only cared about fun and didn’t plan ahead, he’s the type to risk his life for it.

“This is the herb purchase list requested by Mr. Park Young-jun, but we can’t get the Chorongcho.”
“Chorongcho?”
It’s not just any herb, right? What’s he trying to make?
“Mr. Park Young-jun said this herb only grows in the dungeon located within the school, which is controlled by the Sprite Guild.”
“And he wants to make…?”
“I don’t know. But he said it’s the most important herb, so he asked us to get it. The Sprite Guild doesn’t have any in storage, so they said to take it directly from the dungeon if needed.”
I scratched my head and nodded.
They didn’t refuse—they basically gave us permission to go pick it ourselves. Easy enough.
“What about the school?”
“Most of the staff has been arranged. Guild Master, you can interview as a hunter-teacher. The lists of students wishing to enroll or transfer have been emailed.”
Deal with it as it comes. Great job.
“And…”
I nodded while glancing over the documents, then looked up.
Gumiho, who had been sneaking glances outside the room, lowered her body.
“The target has started to move.”
