The F-Rank Guild Master Has Too Much Money Chapter 77
Plolarin tilted her head in confusion.
☆ Hmm? has donated 100 Mana Stones. ☆
Of course. She was born in the world of Corne, after all.
☆ No has donated 100 Mana Stones. ☆
Even so, she looks far too much like Corne. It’s a reasonable suspicion, isn’t it?
☆ And has donated 100 Mana Stones. ☆
The seed turned into a completely different species. It’s only natural to find that strange.
As the gods said, my suspicion was justified.
If receiving a god’s power meant evolving to resemble them, then all heroes would have become entirely new lifeforms—and all of them would be beautiful.
But heroes are merely humans granted a fraction of divine power. No matter what the gods bestow, they still look like ordinary people.
Even with divine power, Plolarin should still be Plarin. Her appearance should resemble others of her kind.
Moreover, it’s impossible for someone to transform into a completely different lifeform like this.
「Who is Corne?」
“Don’t try to fool me. You knew I was a god.”
「I-I don’t know anything… hic…」
Frowning at the tears welling up in Plolarin’s eyes, I spoke.
“Don’t cry. I’m not going to comfort you like before.”
At my cold words, her tears began to fall one by one.
「God is scary…」
“What did Corne make you do? If you don’t tell me right now, I’ll erase you.”
「God is scary… please don’t…」
Her face turned pale, clearly frightened by my words.
“If you’re scared, then speak. Do you think I won’t erase you just because you were born from my power? Do you think you can resist me?”
「Ah, no… God… I’m a child created by you.」
“I’ve never had a child like you.”
The moment I finished speaking, the flower stem Plolarin was holding began to wither. Then, crying loudly, she collapsed to the ground.
“Eh? What’s happening?”
【That’s because she was rejected.】
A bright light flashed, and Corne appeared, dressed in a white suit.
☆ Wow! has donated 100 Mana Stones. ☆
It’s Corne!! Wow! Long time no see!
☆ Darling has donated 100 Mana Stones. ☆
With your hair tied up, you look even more attractive. Now that you’re in a white suit, all that’s left is for us to get married.
☆ Every Time I See You… has donated 100 Mana Stones. ☆
The Supreme God must have been obsessed with art when creating Corne and Aether. How can anyone look like that?
Just as I remembered before my regression, Corne—his long black hair tied in a ponytail—lifted Plolarin into the air.
“Corne?”
【If you didn’t understand something, why didn’t you ask me? Don’t take it out on the child.】
“You bastard!”
Fury surged within me as I grabbed Corne by the collar.
“You create a situation like this and then say that?! How many times did I call you?!”
【You know what happens when a lifeform with divine power is rejected by a god.】
I threw a punch at his smiling face, but my fist passed through empty air. Even the hand gripping his collar felt nothing.
【You’re too emotional. Didn’t I tell you? A god must always remain calm.】
“Does this situation look calm to you?!”
【You’re enjoying yourself after taking money from the gods, so what’s the problem?】
Plolarin, lying on Corne’s palm a short distance away, had already closed her eyes.
Her pale skin made her look like a fairy on the brink of death.
【You’re mistaken. This child is simply a pure soul newly born in my world.】
“Funny. You probably planted her to cheat in the bet, didn’t you?”
At my words, Corne tilted his head.
【Why would you think that? Giving this child power was your choice.】
“That’s—”
【My dear little brother, I never forced you. Everything is the result of your choices—the bet, this child, all of it.】
I scoffed.
“The result of my choices? What kind of nonsense is that? You forced the bet, and this kid is your responsibility too!”
【Big brother is sad. The one he loves misunderstands him.】
“Corne!!”
Ignoring my shout, Corne gently placed Plolarin on a cushion.
I gathered divine power and hurled it at him.
【Oh dear.】
Seeing the golden energy flying toward him, Corne clicked his tongue and waved his hand. Black divine energy engulfed it, completely nullifying the attack.
“Ugh.”
Pain surged inside me, and I nearly coughed up blood.
☆ Corne Bandage! has donated 100 Mana Stones. ☆
Aether is going to die! Reset! I said stop it!
☆ Aether has donated 100 Mana Stones. ☆
Don’t fightㅠㅠ You’re human right now. Human bodies have limits.
Ignoring the gods, I bound Corne with wind and formed another sphere of divine power.
【You’re still adorable.】
Smiling brightly, Corne dispelled the wind and erased the divine power in an instant.
“Damn it.”
As I wiped the blood from my mouth, black divine energy wrapped around me.
【No matter how much divine power you have, you’re still human.】
“Let go!!”
Even if I tried to manipulate divine power like Corne, a human body had its limits. He bound my feet as well, dragged me toward him, and then lightly patted my cheek.
【I have no intention of winning this bet.】
“Stop your nonsense! Then there’s no reason for this bet. What were you thinking when you made it, and why did you turn me into a human?!”
【Since you became human, your swearing has increased. Tsk.】
Corne shook his head, then reached out, and this time divine power sealed my mouth.
“Mmph! Mmph!”
【This child was truly born by chance. Don’t take out your anger on her just because she looks like me. Treat her well, like Plarin. She might become the second hero we create together.】
Corne touched Plolarin’s head, and her red eyes softened.
【And stop using divine power so much. Your body is human—if you keep using divine power, can your body even endure it?】
“Mmph!! Mmph!!”
【Yes. I’ll help you this time, but next time, don’t use divine power. Understood?】
‘You bastard! That’s because of you!!!’
With my mouth sealed and my body bound, I struggled, and Corne pressed his lips against my forehead.
Though I had been enduring it through sheer will, the agonizing pain in my insides vanished in an instant.
【Take good care of our second hero. Your other heroes get pampered and spoiled, tsk. And if you have anything to say, contact me again. I’ll be watching.】
Unable to speak, I scowled fiercely, and Corne smiled brightly.
【I like it best when you make that face. See you again.】
“Corne!!”
With a scattering of light particles, Corne disappeared, and all the divine power that had been binding me was absorbed back into my body. My body was in top condition, but my anger had reached its peak.
“You bastard. Damn bastard. What? You like it when I’m like this? Ah, I’m furious.”
I couldn’t contain my anger, pacing back and forth in the study, and then I saw Plolarin sleeping on a cushion. Her skin, which had been pale, had regained a healthy color.
Her body was now a mixture of my divine power and Corne’s.
‘Should I… kill her?’
☆ Aether has donated 100 Mana Stones.☆
His expression looks like he’s about to kill Plolarin. Wait, no?
☆ From My Perspective, He Looks Like He’ll Kill Her has donated 100 Mana Stones.☆
Looks like she doesn’t know Aether is crueler than people think. Didn’t he have that famous incident?
☆ Ah RGRG has donated 100 Mana Stones.☆
You’re talking about the time during the Great War between Heaven and Demons when his sleep was disturbed and he killed both sides, right?
☆ No Way!! has donated 100 Mana Stones.☆
There’s no way Aether would do that! Our Aether is kind!
“Kind? Yeah, right.”
Even though she was being infused with my power, like Saphi, I couldn’t just claim everything containing my power as mine.
One reason I couldn’t take her in was that she had Corne’s face. But above all, it was unsettling that Corne himself had descended directly, instead of just sending playful oracles from the divine realm like he usually did.
The same went for untangling the twisted divine power and emphasizing that she’s our second hero.
Thinking about the fate of Plolarin, the first hero we created together—my most beloved hero—made it even worse.
Corne had surely counted on the fact that I’m weak toward my own heroes, but that only applied to my hero.
Plolarin, outwardly innocent as she seemed now, might turn out differently later.
Heroes who received divine power often became arrogant, sometimes even forgetting their duties and challenging the gods—and the gods weren’t benevolent enough to accept such heroes.
‘Yeah… since she makes me uneasy, it’s better to get rid of her.’
Taking back the divine power I had given her would be easy. On top of that, if I absorbed Corne’s divine power as well, I could use even more power—a win-win situation.
I summoned a gust of wind centered around Plolarin and myself.
Placing my palm over the sleeping Plolarin, I began to draw out divine power. Just as the shining golden energy was about to lift Plolarin’s own power—
Knock knock.
“Guild Master.”
I flinched at Choi Tae-hyuk’s voice and pulled my hand back.
‘Ah… Choi Tae-hyuk!’
Like a child caught doing something wrong, I alternated my gaze between the study door and Plolarin, suddenly remembering how I had coughed up blood earlier.
“Guild Master?”
“W-Wait!!”
Sensing something, I stopped Choi Tae-hyuk from coming in and grabbed a tissue. I tried to wipe up the blood—but there was none.
No matter how I looked around, there was no trace of it. Panic rising, I heard a voice in my head.
【I took care of everything. Don’t worry.】
He had been watching…
I let out a sigh, unsure whether to feel grateful or annoyed, and said,
“Alright, you can come in.”
“Is something wrong?”
“No, nothing at all.”
I felt a strange sense of fatigue wash over me. I tossed the tissue I was holding onto the sofa, sat down, and looked at Choi Tae-hyuk.
“So, what brings you here?”
“I sensed some strange energy, so I came to check.”
Strange energy? Who could even sense divine power?
Choi Tae-hyuk looked around and then strode over, grabbing my arm.
He lifted my hand suddenly and began spinning me around.
“C-Choi Tae-hyuk?”
“Is there any problem?”
“No. Nothing at all.”
I glanced at him nervously, wondering if he had figured something out, and he sighed.
“Then what is this blood?”
Blood? But he said he’d cleaned it all up…
I looked around, but there were no stains anywhere. Following his gaze, I saw the clothes that still had traces of blood from when I had coughed it up.
“Oh.”
【Ah! I forgot about that.】
‘Forgot?! Are you kidding me, you bastard?!’
How could you just leave my clothes like that?!
