How in the world—

As confusion clouded Dahlia’s eyes, Hissin snatched the stone from her and shoved her away as if shaking off dirt. The carelessly thrown stone hit the wall and rolled pitifully across the floor.

“Even if you knew, what difference would it make?”

A clear sneer twisted his lips.

“Or do you want me to do *that* to you again?”

It was a cruel remark, one that reminded her of their last night in the temple. Dahlia glared at him resentfully but refused to turn away. His words were deliberately meant to wound her.

“Either way, you’re trapped in this prison. You can’t do anything to me.”

“His Highness must be pleased to see the demon’s sacrifice rolling around in a filthy cell.”

“Don’t say that!”

“If you don’t like it, you can leave.”

Hissin curled his lips mockingly.

“Grab that rope and return to Her Highness’s comfortable, lonely palace.”

But it was only for a moment. Suddenly, Hissin clenched his jaw and grabbed his stomach.

A stifled groan escaped him, and between his fingers, a glimpse of blood seeped through. The sheer amount of blood soaking his hand made Dahlia’s breath hitch.

She quickly picked up another shard of stone and took two steps back, out of his reach.

“Fine, do as you please. I’ll do as I please too.”

Without hesitation, she slashed her arm.

A sharp pain creased her brow. Bright red streaked down her fair skin.

At her sudden action, Hissin growled like a beast, his voice low.

“I told you to stop and leave. Now.”

“If I see you healing, I’ll leave even if you beg me to stay.”

Already, the wound was closing. She hadn’t cut deeply, so only a trickle of blood had spilled.

Meeting Hissin’s sharp gaze head-on, Dahlia cut her arm again.

“Ugh—”

This time, she had sliced deeper, and more blood flowed. It dripped from her elbow, splattering onto the floor in thick drops.

The scattered red stains made Hissin’s expression grow increasingly unsettled. Yet he still showed no intention of moving. An invisible thread between them stretched taut.

By then, the second wound had already healed, and the bleeding stopped.

‘How much longer can my body endure if I keep losing blood like this? Even if the wounds heal, the lost blood won’t recover quickly—it was blood that even Saltar couldn’t greedily take.’

Yet Dahlia couldn’t stop. This was to heal Hissin, but at the same time, it was also her resentment toward him.

With reddened eyes, she glared at Hissin and pressed the stone to her wrist this time. She clenched her eyes shut and slashed her arm with all her strength.

“Ugh…!”

The pain was drastically different from before, so intense that it stole her breath. An enormous amount of blood poured onto the dropped stone.

An artery must have ruptured—the splattered red reached even the prison bars. Even Hissin couldn’t stand idly by this reckless act.

“…Damn it.”

Hissin shot up and reached through the bars. Grabbing Dahlia’s arm, he yanked her toward him and pressed his lips to the gaping wound.

Gulp after gulp, the blood spilled into his mouth.

Parting his lips slightly, Hissin willingly drank from her wound. Her crimson life flowed between his lips, his thick Adam’s apple bobbing heavily.

Then, one by one, the wounds on Hissin’s body began to disappear. The cuts and gashes closed, and the dark bruises that had looked crushed faded away as if sinking deep into his skin.

“Haah… ha…”

Dahlia panted softly as she watched Hissin’s wounds vanish. She had lost too much blood in an instant, making her vision spin, but the relief of seeing Hissin healed outweighed everything else.

Fortunately, her wrist had completely healed, leaving no trace of the wound.

Seeing that the injury had disappeared, Hissin glared at Dahlia with reproachful eyes.

“What were you thinking, doing something like this…!”

But now, even scolding her was meaningless. The price of blood had already begun.

Watching the red spots rapidly spreading across Dahlia’s skin, Hissin cursed under his breath. Gripping her hand tightly, he spoke through clenched teeth.

“This is a consequence of Your Highness’s own actions.”

He pulled her captured arm forcefully toward him. Then, with his other hand, he cupped Dahlia’s face and pressed his lips deeply against hers.

Hissin parted his lips, devouring her soft mouth in one motion.

As if biting into the ripe flesh of a fruit, he captured her lips, alternating between sucking the upper and lower ones, coating them with saliva.

Preferring the slightly fuller lower lip, he tugged at it, biting and sucking as if savoring candy. He scraped his teeth gently over her plush lips, then soothed them with his tongue.

The delicate insides quickly grew hot and swollen.

With his hand gripping the back of her neck, he spread his thumb and pressed down on her chin. Her mouth opened easily, and a sweet breath flowed out from within.

There was no patience for taking it slow. Hissin pushed his tongue inside, ravaging her mouth with brutality.

As he scraped against the inner cheek and palate, sweet saliva pooled inside—a taste he had craved more than water while trapped in this hellish place. He swallowed every last drop without leaving a single trace.

“Mmm…”

Dahlia let out a small moan as he licked the wetness gathered under her chin and tangled with her retreating tongue. When he thrust deeper, her hands gripping the bars trembled violently.

Was it because she struggled to breathe? Or was it the pain from the bruises?

Well, it didn’t matter either way. The moment he tasted her breath, the already thin thread of his patience snapped completely.

Hissin gave her no room to escape. Instead, he wrapped an arm around her waist as she tried to pull away, dragging her even closer.

Tilting his head, he forced her jaw wider and began sucking on her tongue. The harsh pull must have hurt the base of her tongue—he could see tears forming at the corners of her eyes.

For some reason, the sight of her damp lashes only angered him more.

In one swift motion, Hissin yanked up Dahlia’s clothes. Tearing away the loosely draped fabric as if ripping through a cushion, he exposed her slender waist. His hand slid up her smooth skin before roughly grasping a breast, so full it barely fit in his palm.

“Hah—!”

As he roughly kneaded her chest, Dahlia let out a small whimper. Hissin watched her face contort in pain as he continued to squeeze her soft flesh until it turned red.

“Ah, uh, wait…”

“You should have left when I told you to.”

“Haa!”

When he pinched her nipple between his fingers and twisted, Dahlia gasped sharply.

Even without being sucked, the small, swollen flesh made his mouth water. Hissin tormented the bud with his fingertips before leaning down and swallowing it whole.

“Ahh… Hissin.”

Dahlia pushed at his shoulders, but it was no use.

Instead, Hissin pulled her waist even tighter, pressing her chest between the bars in an even more stimulating shape. He sucked hard on the perky flesh, making wet, lewd sounds each time his moist tongue and lips pulled away from the soft skin.

Perhaps because it was covered in red marks, Dahlia’s body tasted sweet like fruit. Or maybe it was because he hadn’t tasted her in so long that his thirst had grown deeper.

Losing control, Hissin opened his mouth wide, like a starving man, and bit down on the plump flesh.

She sucked in hard, ensuring no air remained in her mouth, and the firm nipple touched her tongue.

“Ack!”

Flicking the tip of her tongue rapidly from side to side, a shuddering moan clung sweetly to her ears.

“Stop, hng… let me go.”

Dahlia twisted her waist and pushed his shoulder once more. She must have already known it was pointless.

Clutching at his shoulders like a faint hope, she kept struggling to break free.

“You should’ve been prepared for this when you decided to draw blood.”

“Ahh!”

Hissin bit down on her nipple with his teeth. Dahlia arched her back like a bow, but his unyielding arm only forced her hips to lift higher.

Hissin gripped the rounded curve of her buttocks tightly. Sliding his hand lower, he felt the damp heat.

Surely, the flushed flesh inside was throbbing.

He traced a finger along the wet seam of her underwear, moisture clinging to it. As he licked his way up her chest and raised his gaze, he saw Dahlia’s cheeks flushed—not with anger, but with something else.

“Don’t… please, not that…”

Her eyes, brimming with shame, pleaded desperately. Even that expression was unbearably adorable.

Hissin captured her lips again, delving deep until the taste of her tears seeped into the kiss—salty and bitter.

The moment he saw Dahlia’s tearful face, her eyes were tightly shut—

“If you can’t even handle this much… how dare you barge in here?”

Hissin slowly released her, withdrawing his tongue from her mouth with a rough thrust.
