“Right, you probably don’t even realize it clearly. The reason you’re clinging to me is because of guiding.”

“What kind of sleep-talking is this now.”

“Look back at your actions. The way you’re acting toward me right now—the contact that is the basis of guiding, the craving… it all has to stem from that.”

“Guiding? Haha!”

Cha Moogyul burst out laughing. He hadn’t said anything funny at all, but Moogyul burst into a hearty laugh and continued to laugh like that for several minutes, then abruptly stopped laughing and retorted curtly.

“Right. Guiding is certainly a nuisance. It stirs me up as it pleases.”

His black eyes glinted coolly.

“But succumbing to the sensation of losing self-control is for lazy addicts. I’m not one of them.”

“Then there’s no reason for you to suddenly change your attitude toward me.”

“Changed my attitude, huh. That part is true. But it’s not because of guiding.”

“How can you be sure it’s not because of guiding. Guiding affects your instincts. It would have influenced your subconscious, not your consciousness.”

“Haah, hyung… do you realize how desperate you look right now?”

Cha Moogyul tapped the crystal goblet with the back of the spoon. A clearer, sharper percussion sound rang out than when he had tapped the wooden table a moment ago. It sounded like some kind of signal.

“It’s all melted already. I guess we can stop eating.”

Suddenly, Cha Moogyul threw down the spoon and reached his arms out to Heeheon. Slipping his hands under his armpits, he swiftly lifted Heeheon up and sat him on the wooden table.

“…!”

His eyes widened at the unexpected situation. Flustered by the sudden change in eye level, Heeheon scratched at his forearm, but he paid no mind. His grip was much stronger than expected, and his face, now seen from below, looked unusually persistent. That wasn’t all. The air felt prickly and sharp, as if it were stabbing him.

Cha Moogyul pushed Heeheon down onto the table and whispered ominously.

“Listening to you, you’re looking for the reason in a completely wrong place. Or maybe you’re just looking for another excuse to run away… Have you not considered the simple thought that I’m attracted to you?”

Now, what did he just say…?

Heeheon propped himself up on his elbows, trying not to fall back. The look of bewilderment was evident on his face, and his complexion was not one that could be called good, even being generous. His wide eyes trembled, unable to find a place to rest.

“Never. If it were you, could you think that? You couldn’t.”

Holding his breath, Heeheon struggled to read Cha Moogyul’s expression and intentions. The same smile still lingered on his lips, and in his jet-black pupils, a distorted madness with no discernible source could be seen. His obsession had coalesced, becoming stronger and harder than it was yesterday.

“Why not. I’ve already gotten hard for you several times.”

“No matter how many times, I was guiding you.”

Even yesterday.

Even though Heeheon hadn’t intended it, guiding had occurred naturally.

“Cha Moogyul. You might be mistaken… Think carefully.”

His expression crumbling, Heeheon chose his words carefully.

If Cha Moogyul were to use his ability to suppress and force Heeheon, the same kind of disaster as yesterday would happen in an instant. Baek Heeheon had already crossed the line once with Cha Moogyul, and the environment was ripe for the same thing to happen again. It was a checkmate. In the end, he would have no choice but to go along with his will. But, even so, he had to say what needed to be said. Even if he himself suffered an irreparable wound, and his spirit was shattered into rags, as his guide, he had to remain faithful to his duty to the very end.

“As you know, I’m your guide. You’re an esper who has just awakened… You could very well be confused about your feelings. That’s not strange or shameful. It’s just a matter of trial and error.”

“So…?”

Cha Moogyul drew out the end of his word as he questioned him back. Heeheon internally bit down and swallowed countless curses as he continued speaking. Even uttering a single word to Cha Moogyul was not easy. The fists he had clenched tightly were trembling.

“So, it’s not that you’re attracted to me. You would never, me…”

“Ah, so it’s all my delusion?”

“…”

“That I’m a little kid who can’t even judge the dragon I hold within me and can’t control myself… is that it.”

Cha Moogyul scoffed as if in disbelief.

“Fine, it’s my fault.”

He swept his hair back from his forehead and let out a rough exhale. Then, with his forearm, he swept the decorative vase and dishes off the table, sending them all crashing to the floor.

Craaash! A series of sharp, shattering sounds followed, and the vase containing artificial flowers that would not wilt and the crystal goblet holding the melted lemon sorbet shattered to pieces, scattering across the smooth marble floor. The crystal fragments sparkled brilliantly, like the Milky Way.

“I was being far too refined. Baek Heeheon barely understands, if at all, only when things are explained to him meticulously from one to ten.”

At the unexpectedly violent act, Heeheon’s gaze wavered.

“Stop… Calm down.”

“I am calm. My blood has cooled, thanks to someone.”

He placed both hands on the table, flanking Heeheon. Slowly, he leaned his upper body forward, pressing their bodies together.

“Shut that mouth and listen well. I’m going to tell you everything from now on, without missing a single detail.”

Like a great white shark diving into the distant sea, he slowly sank down onto Heeheon.

“Every time you avoid my gaze, I want to choke that slender neck of yours. Every time you flinch at my touch, I want to break your legs so you can’t run away, and every time I approach, if you frown as if you dislike it, I want to mercilessly punch your face…”

His exquisite eyes ensnared Heeheon. He criticized, spewed venom, and brought out his secret, innermost thoughts to lay them bare. It was an act close to poisoning each other.

“Is that why? When I hold you down and suppress you like this, I feel a sense of fulfillment. I want to seize you. I want to make you cry. I want to flip you over and pound my thing into you until your hole is raw. I want you, with that mouth of yours, to beg and call my name. I want you to cling to me and become… a half-cripple.”

“What…?”

“Did you live comfortably on your own for five years? The hundreds of espers lining up, saying they like you, sticking to you and mixing tongues in the name of guiding… You must have enjoyed playing the hero, drunk on a sense of mission to save the world, while you were just whoring your body around. How much fun must it have been that you didn’t even come to the general district once?”

What…?

Why, to this extent…

Why was Cha Moogyul, to Baek Heeheon, like this…?

“Do you get it now? Just how much of an asshole I can be.”

Cha Moogyul touched him. His lips gently brushed against Heeheon’s hollow face. He continued to release his poison, his lips pressed against the skin. Even if he didn’t want it, Cha Moogyul overflowed.

“Even as I’m reasoning with you right now, I’m feeling the same impulse. Do you really think it’s because of guiding? From what I can see, I can’t find any connection to guiding at all. That fucking guiding…”

He continued to kiss Heeheon slowly, without pause. He pressed his lips everywhere he saw on his face, and finally kissed the corner of his mouth, which was frozen in shock. The dry mouth tasted of sour and sweet lemon sorbet.

Letting out a low laugh, Cha Moogyul murmured suggestively.

“Shall we kiss.”

Heeheon had completely lost his mind, but Cha Moogyul himself looked nonchalant, as if nothing had happened. He seemed like a person who had pondered these thoughts every day for a long time and had already become thoroughly accustomed to them.

“Open your lips.”

“…Mmph.”

Heeheon moved his frozen lips meaninglessly. The fine trembling wouldn’t stop. His body, pressed against the hard wooden table, couldn’t function properly. Cha Moogyul, without even blinking, grabbed Heeheon’s chin with one hand, forced his mouth open, and kissed him deeply.

He could feel his rough breath.

Passion surged up and down between them, and a precarious tightrope walk continued. Heeheon grabbed his arm. Cha Moogyul’s black hair, which had fallen forward, tickled his forehead.

“Heut!”

As they kissed, guiding occurred again, like a conditioned reflex. Even when he tried to stop the guiding, the moment their mucous membranes made contact, their cores reacted as if drawn to each other, and they connected. It was as if the two had become one. Cha Moogyul wiped the corner of his mouth with the back of his hand and pulled his head away.

“Ha, there it goes again.”

He pointed out Heeheon who was guiding and smirked.

“Can’t you even kiss without guiding now? It seems like you’re the one who’s confused, not me… Please, just stop that fucking guiding.”

“N-No… Hah.”

“We agreed to follow the regulations for guiding. Not now. Hmm?”

Cha Moogyul’s hands descended on Heeheon, pressing on his chest and sliding down his waist to hike up the hem of his T-shirt. Heeheon shuddered. A chill ran down his spine, and the fine hairs on the back of his neck stood on end.

Heeheon grabbed and scratched at his arm, clinging to him. But he would not stop his actions. He pulled off the T-shirt that Heeheon had painstakingly put on and leisurely admired his body, which was red with bruises.

His sticky gaze slowly roamed down from his chest, to his solar plexus, to his stomach. Even though he wasn’t touching him, every spot his gaze landed on seemed to burn up. He felt a sense of shame and impatience. His skin was mottled with suction marks, and his nipples were bright red and still swollen, so he couldn’t help but feel embarrassed.

“D-Don’t look.”

Startled, Heeheon covered his body with both arms. But even so, he couldn’t hide all the marks imprinted on his body.
