Joy tried to minimize contact with the floor by curling up, but his trembling body kept slumping, soaking wet. Each time the cold marble floor touched him, his body convulsed, drenching his lower parts further.

The lavender scent lingering in the room heightened Joy’s arousal, and every time he sensed it, his entire body tingled, eliciting pained moans from his lips.

Noah pushed out of Adrian’s embrace, asking irritably. Adrian looked at him with a small chuckle and continued.

“That omega.”

“The omega?”

“The one made to look like your fiancée.”

“Oh.”

Noah responded indifferently to Adrian’s words.

“You need to give it back.”

“What?”

Noah asked incredulously at Adrian’s words. They had forced the omega on him when he didn’t even want it, and now what? Reading Noah’s thoughts in his eyes, Adrian said calmly, “That omega. It carries a virus. It’s dangerous for it to be near you.”

“A virus?”

“The variant virus. The same one inside you.”

At Adrian’s words, Noah froze, unable to speak. The existence of the virus, which he had forgotten, was rearing its head again.

It was widely known that the traits of alphas and omegas caused by the virus weren’t hereditary. But few knew that the variant virus still existed.

Only a few executives at Pers Corporation and the lab’s researchers were aware of this fact. It was true that Pers Corporation had started this business using the last remaining alpha and omega genes, but separately, there was also a plan to create a business that could turn people into alphas or omegas using the variant virus.

Thus, Pers Corporation couldn’t abandon research on the variant virus despite its lack of results. For their final experiment, they selected one researcher and one Pers Corporation executive.

Those were Joy Green and Noah Seyfried. Jace Miller was in charge of the project.

Joy Green didn’t survive the mutation process and died, while Noah Seyfried, left alone, endured excruciating pain, fell into a coma for a month, and barely returned. Despite the ordeal, Noah didn’t mutate, and the project was terminated.

And now, that virus was inside the omega who looked just like Joy?

Noah finally recalled the intense osmanthus scent. That overwhelmingly sweet fragrance was the one Joy Green had exuded in the final stages of the mutation experiment, just before her death.

Noah rubbed his face, letting out a heavy sigh, and Adrian patted his shoulder, saying, “Thank goodness it’s not too late. Where’s that omega?”

At Adrian’s words, Noah said with a blank expression, “Is it… really not too late?”

When he opened his eyes, a familiar ceiling came into view. Blinking a few times, Joy bolted upright, and a gentle, low voice reached his ears.

“Getting up so suddenly will make you dizzy, Joy.”

Jace was looking at Joy with a warm smile.

“Daddy!”

Tears welling in his eyes, Joy threw himself into Jace’s arms. Jace hugged him tightly, stroking his hair. Joy sobbed loudly in Jace’s embrace.

“Daddy… daddy…”

“Shh… it’s okay. Calm down, Joy.”

“Daddy… daddy… I was scared… so scared…”

“It’s alright, everything’s fine now. You’re back, aren’t you?”

At Jace’s words, Joy lifted his soaked face and looked around. It was true. It was his familiar room. Much smaller than Noah’s house, but it was his room, where daddy was, always giving him a sense of security.

Joy cried even louder, clinging to Jace.

“Daddy…”

“Joy… I told you to call me by my name when we’re alone.”

Jace looked at Joy’s crying face, meeting his eyes. Feeling an inexplicable sense of relief at Jace’s gentle smile, Joy pressed his lips to Jace’s. Pleased by Joy’s action, Jace raised the corners of his mouth while their lips met. As he softly enveloped Joy’s tender tongue, Jace gently rubbed Joy’s chest.

“Ah, ah…”

Moaning softly, Jace pulled his lips away and whispered in Joy’s ear, “You’re beautiful, Joy. Can you feel the soft, swollen sensation in my hands?”

Jace guided Joy’s hand to his chest. The once-flat chest was now slightly swollen.

“Jace… why is this…”

Confusion clouded Joy’s face as he spoke, unable to understand. Jace looked at him with a smile in his voice and said, “Because you’re special, Joy. You’re different from the other omegas. That’s why. That’s why you can have what no one else can.”

“Jace…”

“You’re special, Joy.”
