Because all three elves had completely turned into drama addicts, Chloe ended up attending the party alone the next day.

‘And Master said something was going on at the Sky Tower and ran off too.’

It was nice having all the attention to herself, but the problem was……

“Um, Your Highness.”

“What is it, Miss Chloe?”

The Crown Prince spoke while giving off a chilly aura.

‘C-Cold…….’

His expressionless face was handsome enough on its own, but the real issue was the atmosphere—it made it impossible to casually continue a conversation.

In fact, over the past four days, Chloe hadn’t managed to exchange more than three sentences with Pession.

‘The Crown Prince only talked with the elves the whole time, too.’

“…….”

“…….”

Just look now—him silently gazing at her like that was enough to make her nerves twist on their own.

‘How am I supposed to win over someone like this?’

In the game, the route involved helping Pession manage a completely chaotic Albret after Empress Ageni died, gradually growing close and falling in love……

‘But Empress Ageni is perfectly alive right now!’

Still, it was fine. There had to be some kind of strategy. Chloe steadied her growing impatience.

“It’s nothing.”

“…….”

Calling him over just to say it was nothing.

For a split second, Chloe caught a flicker of exasperation in Pession’s eyes and forced an awkward laugh.

“If there’s nothing else, shall we move?”

“…Yes.”

Crushed by the pressure Pession gave off, Chloe obediently followed behind him.

Pession remained in a low-pressure mood. He was already busy enough as it was, and now Emperor Edward had dumped this task on him too—it made his head throb.

“Ah.”

Chloe stumbled.

“Careful.”

Pession only watched, but Harun, who was walking behind them, quickly caught her.

“Ah, thank you, Sir Harun.”

“…….”

Chloe’s face flushed as she thanked him. Harun merely nodded and returned to Pession’s side.

Pession asked,

“Are you all right?”

“Yes! Haha, it’s just… this is the first time I’ve ever worn such a beautiful dress since coming here.”

“I see.”

Watching Chloe walk a bit unsteadily, Pession had a maid assigned to help her and moved on.

As he walked ahead, Pession tilted his head slightly.

‘The first time she’s worn a beautiful dress “since coming here”?’

Chloe was a baron’s daughter, but she had once been the Crown Prince’s childhood friend.

Back then, all the dresses she wore had been expensive pieces sponsored by Empress Ageni.

“…….”

Pession glanced back at Chloe once more, then tilted his head again.

Must be his imagination.

At today’s party as well, Chloe was the center of attention. She greeted every new noble without missing a single one, stamping her presence firmly.

‘That’s strange.’

【Main Scenario I: Greet the Key Figures (15/?)】

‘Why isn’t the quest clearing?’

As far as she knew, completing 【Main Scenario I】 was required to unlock the affection system.

The system didn’t count just anyone as a key figure—but every important person was a key figure.

Crown Prince Pession, the Emperor and Empress, Lord Sirua, Prince Therion, the dukes, the Spherom twins, the Harun and Johan brothers, Caroline Gremwat—the villainess from the game—everyone.

‘Are there more key figures than this?’

Something felt off to Chloe.

Thinking about the story ahead, she had already greeted everyone she could possibly greet right now.

She wasn’t a beginner—there was no way she’d miss something like that.

Still, there was one person bothering her.

‘I never greeted that young lady.’

The noble girl Chloe had seen when she first arrived in Albret.

She didn’t even know her name yet.

‘Platinum-blonde hair and rose-colored eyes… I’ve never seen a character like that in the game, so I honestly didn’t pay much attention.’

If she’d been present to welcome foreign dignitaries, her status had to be high. Yet over the past three days, Chloe hadn’t even seen her face again, let alone greeted her.

Was she some hard-to-meet hidden character?

A veteran gamer’s intuition whispered that there was something about that girl.

“Chloe.”

“Huh? Lord Roel?”

An elf who looked half-dead suddenly appeared, sporting heavy dark circles as he called out to her.

“Didn’t you say you were going to watch the drama? Why are you back at the party?”

“I finished it.”

“…What?”

“I’m here to get the next episode. Where are the noble ladies?”

“…….”

Completely oblivious to Chloe’s suddenly icy stare, Roel scanned the large party hall for noblewomen.

“Is it really that interesting?”

At Chloe’s question, Roel nodded seriously.

“On her wedding night, her husband suddenly dropped dead, so she hid his body. Because of that, she was treated like trash by her in-laws from the very first night. Then her sister-in-law discovered the secret and used it against her. In the end, Lady Rebecca’s secret was exposed to the whole family, and she was kicked out without receiving a single coin. From here on, a tear-jerking revenge drama against her in-laws is supposed to unfold. And then! This episode revealed that the husband was actually alive!”

“Ah.”

“I need the next episode! It can’t end like this!”

“Calm down, you elf.”

As Chloe sighed, trying to restrain the elf who had become addicted to drama in a single day, the atmosphere in the hall suddenly shifted.

Murmur, murmur.

“Isn’t that the Duke of Halbern?”

“He doesn’t usually come to places like this. What’s going on?”

“Mehen is with him too! What a treat for the eyes today.”

“Oh my, they really do make a wonderful pair.”

This kind of attention usually only happened when a new elven delegation appeared, when Chloe—the Savior of the World Tree—arrived, or when Crown Prince Pession showed up.

‘The Duke of Halbern? Mehen? I’ve never heard those names before. Who are they?’

As Chloe and Roel looked around to see what was happening—

“Ah.”

Chloe blinked rapidly.

What on earth were those two?

The calm-looking male character with wheat-brown hair—brown, but not just any brown—looked like a romanceable character no matter how you looked at him.

That was Mehen?

But the man beside him was even more shocking.

‘How can someone like that not be a romance option?’

Could he be a hidden romance character?

The Duke of Halbern, was it?

‘Was this what I’d been missing?!’

As goosebumps rose along Chloe’s arms, Roel tilted his head at the sight of Valer.

“Hm? One of our kind?”

No way.

Beauty so divine it confused even elves!

“An introduction……!”

Eyes sparkling at the appearance of a new character, Chloe grabbed Roel’s arm.

“Let’s go say hello! Right now!”

“H-Huh?!”

“Hurry! Now!”

“But I need to get the next drama epi—”

“Quiet, just follow me!”

That day, Roel experienced the rare phenomenon of being dragged away by Chloe’s unbelievable strength—something he had never witnessed before in his life.

The reason Mehen and Valer had suddenly appeared at the imperial palace party went something like this.

“My daughter, how long do you plan on staying away from home?”

Under the pale moonlight, Valer smiled faintly, his eyes looking unusually forlorn.

It was the kind of smile that could conquer anyone.

Unfortunately, his opponent was Arellin.

“Dad.”

“Yes?”

“I heard everything from Pession.”

“…Heard what, exactly?”

“Are you trying to turn me into an old maid?”

Valer clicked his tongue.

“That boy sure has a loose mouth.”

“You should praise me for having no secrets. So? Are you really trying to make me an old maid, Dad?”

She didn’t plan on getting married anytime soon, but the idea of her own father scheming to turn her into an old maid was still irritating.

As Arellin stared sharply, clearly waiting to hear whatever excuse he’d come up with, Valer smiled lazily once more.

“How about setting a record?”

“A record for what?”

“A record for how long Pession can wait for you.”

Why would anyone even need a record like that? Seeing his daughter’s suspicious gaze, Valer shrugged.

“If he truly loves you, won’t he wait as long as it takes, my beloved daughter?”

Valer’s eyes sparkled.

“Think about it. The longer he waits, the more the entire world will know just how much Pession loves you.”

It sounded like plausible nonsense……

But it didn’t work on Arellin.

“You just want to tease Pession.”

“Caught me.”
