I’m a Genius Idol but my Passive is Sunfish Chapter 54
* * *
Anyway, it seems we need to keep a close eye on Jihan, Yooyeon, and Minseong in future MVs.
I just have this gut feeling that one of those three is the Joker.
(Yulmu Wardrobe Capture.jpg)
I kept saying earlier that Yulmu is Love (♥, Clergy), and it became certain in the WANT ME MV.
If you look at the clothes strewn across the bed, you can see there are a lot of heart patterns.
(Yulmu Bathrobe Capture.jpg)
In the video it flashes by too fast to see clearly, but in a still shot, you can see that the robe itself has embroidered heart patterns.
That’s pretty much all I could dig up from the WANT ME MV, so lastly, let’s talk about the teaser photos.
If you go to <DASE Dressing Room>, which is one of DASE’s comeback promotions, there are framed photos that look like the members’ ID photos.
If you zoom in, the stickers on each of their faces are different, and the fact is, there are clues hidden here too!
First off, looking at Yulmu’s face, who is definitely Heart (♥): next to the puppy sticker, you can see a cubic heart and a small spade-shaped glitter attached.
At a glance, it looks similar, but Yulmu’s debut teaser was in color. Spades only exist as black-and-white cards, so that one is a fake.
Now let’s look at the other members’ faces!
Cheongcheong: Chick, Snowflake
Minseong: Pearl, Shell
Baekya: Peach, Cubic Teardrop
Yuyeon: Butterfly, Flower
Jihan: Cubic Square
Wow! My head hurts!
I suddenly had the thought that maybe analyzing the stickers on the kids’ faces was a bit overboard, haha.
Actually, my brain isn’t working anymore.
I’ll come back if the reaction is good!
===========================
– This is another level of madness….
– A place that shows what happens when smart otakus gather together = ID.
– Is it like a Mafia game? The cards seem to be nothing more than props telling us who the members are… We just have to find the Joker along with the members.
└ First off, I’m a citizen. That’s for sure.
– Wow… after reading this, suddenly everyone looks suspicious.
– Cards do appear in the WANT ME MV too! On the bedside table where Baekya wakes up at the beginning of the MV, there’s a playing card case.
– Didn’t you say each suit symbolizes a season? Looking at the stickers at the end, Cheong reminds me of winter, Minseong of summer, and Yuyeon of spring. Is there no connection?
└ Yulmu is Heart and Spring.
– Can’t Jihan’s cubic square be seen as a diamond depending on the angle you stick it on?
└ I thought that too, haha.
– I’m not smart so I don’t understand a single word… It’s just amazing that you thought of this while watching the same MV.
– But if you look at the photo, the chessboard is placed really ambiguously. Like, slightly crooked…? Then couldn’t Yooyeon be the black piece?
– I cursed ID a lot when I saw the debut teasers were black and white, but to think they were drawing a big picture like this… Amazing DASE…
– Doesn’t the dollhouse look like the castle from the ‘No Game’ MV?
└ Is it perhaps a parallel universe or something?!
– I’m so looking forward to our kids’ future ㅠㅠ

Due to 1-on-1 vocal training, Baekya had a different schedule from the members for the first time in a while.
That said, they were still in the same company building—if he opened the door and stepped outside, he could run into them anytime.
“Baekya, you’re improving more and more.”
“Thank you~”
The trainer was usually stingy with praise, but perhaps because he was in a good mood today, he said a lot of nice things to Baekya. Thanks to that, the lesson ended early.
However, Baekya didn’t go down to where the members were right away.
[Yooyeon: Come to Practice Room B when you’re done~]
Baekya checked Yooyeon’s message but didn’t reply.
“Five minutes should be fine.”
As soon as the trainer left, he locked the vocal room door and quickly headed to the corner. The sunfish leaned into the corner as if hiding and called out the status window.
Like magic, the window floated up.
“Finally…!”
Baekya thought today was the time to spend all the Star Points he had been hoarding due to comeback preparations and promotions.
▷ Current Star Points: 11
Originally, he had 12, but he used 1 point due to stress, leaving him with the current score.
“Still, that’s a lot.”
Except for the beginning when he synchronized with the game, had he ever been this wealthy?
Baekya almost teared up.
But getting careless was dangerous!
As tempting as it was to spend all 11 at once and try to turn his luck around, this was a body that could die anytime for any reason.
[How many Skill Draws would you like to proceed with?]
Facing the draw window he hadn’t seen in a long time, the sunfish shouted heroically.
“8 times!”
Leave three points behind and burn the rest.
Let’s escape the sunfish life!
The roulette spun, then slowly stopped—and flower petals burst out.
[Skill acquired!]
Correction.
It wasn’t flower petals, it was sewage.

The members were worried sick seeing Baekya in a state they had never seen before.
“The hamster must be really sick….”
Cheong, who for once read the atmosphere, approached Minseong looking sullen.
“As expected, I should go and cheer him—”
“No? That’s not it, so sit down.”
Yooyeon grabbed Cheong’s shoulder as he was about to stand up and sat him back down. Minseong asked with a serious face.
“Doesn’t it seem strange?”
“Yeah.”
Jihan looked at Baekya, who was lying with his back turned on the practice room sofa.
The first one to discover Baekya was Yulmu. He had gone up to the vocal room smiling brightly but returned as a completely different person. With eyes as empty as someone who had received a terminal diagnosis.
“He says his condition is just bad, but no matter how I look at it, something definitely happened.”
They were in the middle of intense comeback promotions, so it was possible his body was simply overworked. Still, Yulmu was convinced there was another reason.
“You guys saw him crying earlier too.”
As soon as Yulmu approached and asked what was wrong, Baekya teared up and then burst into tears, only repeating that he was doomed.
No matter how the flustered members asked why he was crying, he just kept saying he was too miserable to live.
Sensing the severity of the situation, Namkyung left Baekya to the members and hurriedly left the practice room. It was to hear the full story from the trainer. However, the one who was surprised was the trainer.
“He was laughing just fine when he was with me? Who on earth made him cry? Just let me catch them.”
A voice full of anger came through the phone. The trainer ground his teeth, asking if something happened after the class ended and threatening to catch whoever did it.
At that time, the ‘whoever’ in question was sniffing his nose and checking his status window.
A low, stuffy-nosed sound was heard.
“I’m screwed…”
No matter how many times he looked again, it was D. His dance skill had been downgraded.
Lv.11 Baekya (Synchronizing)**
Visual: A
Vocal: A
Dance: D
Talent: B
‘I worked so hard to raise that stat!’
Tremble tremble. Baekya, having regained some rationality, quietly shuddered.
All the blood, sweat, and tears he’d poured in to keep up with the members’ dancing flashed before his eyes.
The fact that he’d cried in front of the members just moments ago didn’t even register anymore. Right now, all he could do was curse the gacha pulls he’d made earlier.
Today, Baekya had drawn a total of eight skills: one A-rank, one B-rank, four C-ranks, and two D-ranks.
<Time to Reward You, Critical Hit! (A)>
: You emit fatal levels of charm.
He felt like if he equipped this, he’d find himself behind bars the moment he snapped back to reality.
<Passion! Passion! Passion! (B)>
: Overcome everything with passion.
For some reason, he felt like he would have to hike a mountain if he used this.
<Idol Ranked 0th in World (C)>
: Ranked 0th on Billboard Charts.
A truly bizarre hybrid.
‘Isn’t 0th place out of the rankings…?’
The developer must have just made skills randomly. No wonder the game failed; it was a skill that provoked many thoughts.
<Sky Castle (C)> – Special
: You move to a new place.
This was a bit unique. It wasn’t an equipable skill but a one-time use skill that disappeared after use.
Since the current dorm felt a bit cramped for six people, he pressed it, but apparently, nothing happened.
<Temptation of Sunfish (C)>
: Sexy ability improves.
Their team already had the excellent sexy dynamite Yooyeon, so this was also a pass.
<I Was Immature (C)>
: Your thinking becomes more profound.
He was on his second life already. Since he often heard he was mature for his age even now, it was an unnecessary skill.
Amidst the string of duds, there were the D-ranks that would have been better off not appearing at all.
<Idol Who Became a Dad (D)>
: Become a childcare variety show master.
Setting aside the content, he just hated the skill name.
He didn’t want to be a dad, nor a childcare master. Through recent comeback activities, he was personally feeling that variety shows didn’t suit him.
And the very next one was the cause of Baekya’s tears.
<Coma (D)>
: Dance moves that make one’s mind faint.
‘When was it again? I think I once misclicked and lived for a while with some weird talent skill equipped…’
A memory surfaced: <Drunk on Myself (D)>.
But as they say, human greed has no end, and people repeat the same mistakes. This skill didn’t just mess with his dancing—it muddled Baekya’s mind too.
True to the ability that boosts confidence when looking in a mirror, the choreographer had teased him immensely, saying he’d believe it if Baekya claimed to be the main dancer based on his eyes alone in the practice room….
Baekya closed his eyes, thinking those days were actually better.
‘I sometimes shed tears…’
At that moment, he sensed someone approaching.
“Is Baekya sleeping?”
“Then just let him sleep. Let’s go to Practice Room A.”
Hearing them say he was asleep, he couldn’t bring himself to open his eyes, so he stayed still—and unintentionally ended up driving the members out of the practice room.
‘I’m not sleeping…!’
A silent scream. Of course, no one heard it.
The members quietly left the room. On top of that, they even turned off the lights on their way out, being sweet enough to protect their friend’s rest.
But there was one huge problem.
‘Here… isn’t this the practice room where the ghost appeared…?’
The sunfish’s complexion turned rapidly pale. Baekya sprang up from his seat, ran out frantically, and screamed.
“Take me with youuuu-ack!”
