I’m a Genius Idol but my Passive is Sunfish Chapter 53
* * *
Late at dawn.
White Night Phenomenon whose eyes had been conquered by dark circles, was on the verge of being sucked into the monitor.
“Crazy.”
Every time she looked, admiration spilled out on its own—her ultimate bias’s face. The miracle of winning a spot in all three fan signs held since the first one was… bullsh*t.
She’d bought that miracle with money, and now she finished appreciating the rare-grade photos she hadn’t uploaded to SNS yet.
“How is there literally nothing to retouch?”
It wasn’t flattery. Even if she wanted to edit something, there was nowhere to touch.
At best, maybe adjusting the color balance?
All Baeksang could do was make the peachy fullness of his softly rounded cheeks look a little more luscious.
“Hah… how can someone look like this?”
Cheers to me for taking this photo.
Baekya was wearing a flower crown with white ribbons, looking exactly into her lens and smiling.
“The cover for this Season’s Greetings is definitely this one.”
After setting it as her desktop wallpaper, she logged into SNS to upload other selected photos.
With tens of thousands of followers, she always kept notifications turned off. Still, as expected, her inbox was packed with messages—most of them thanking her for taking photos of Baekya.
There were also scattered messages in unreadable Arabic and English, but suffering from severe English-phobia, she coolly skipped them.
Baeksang followed only 4 accounts. DASE’s official account, the Baekya Union, and Yulmu’s homma <Ad-Ray> and Cheong’s homma <Winsome>, whom she had become close with while running schedules together.
Baeksang uploaded the commute photo to the music show from a few days ago. As soon as the photo went up, the post began to be shared rapidly.
– Whoa, Sushi-Day commute HQ!
– Trust and watch Baeksang-nim ㅠㅠ
Watching the reaction for a moment, she smiled with satisfaction and moved to her secondary SNS account.
The sub-account, stamped with a doodle of sprouts above Baekya’s pink hair, was named ‘Mallangie’(TL note: it meant squishy). Since her main account <Whitenight_by> was viewed by many people, she needed to maintain her composure there.
Therefore, deciding it was unsuitable for unleashing her fangirl ravings, she had immediately created a second account.
The account switched, and the timeline loaded anew. Among them were photos from Baekya’s other hommas like <SweetBaek>, <Dear Peach>, and various other hommas.
“The editing is no joke.”
Baeksang tapped the heart button in admiration.
Same photo, different vibe.
She’d taken photos of Baekya at the same place on the same day, yet the results were completely different. The reason was simple: every home master had their own distinct atmosphere.
Different preferences in editing inevitably led to different outcomes.
SweetBaek’s photo, which salvaged the PiXchu-Baekya from this fan sign, had a strong sweet and warm feeling like the name, while Dear Peach mainly edited to emphasize the skin.
As for Baeksang’s editing, well…….
– Baeksang uploaded the commute too. Among DASE home masters, I think this one takes the best photos. It’s like she makes the kid look like a work of art.
So they say.
She had merely placed a spoon on a set table, but to think she’d receive such tremendous praise.
“Haha. I am embarrassed.”
She scratched her brow bone, feeling shy all by herself, then continued scrolling. Then she spotted something interesting.
– I saw something amazing yesterday (Link to ‘DASE Worldview Summary Part 1’)
It was a post uploaded at dawn, but the retweet count was already approaching 10,000.
“Worldview? The kids had a worldview?”
It was news to her, but Baeksang clicked on it anyway.

[Issue] DASE Worldview (Universe) Summary Part 1

※Warning: Subjective Interpretation
I’m originally a movie geek who loves genres with massive worldviews like Fantasy and Sci-Fi.
By chance, I was watching a music show my younger sibling turned on, and I saw some really handsome guys wearing weird sushi-like clothes going Want Me, Want Me.
Thinking ‘What is that craziness?’, I kept watching.
But suddenly, the Egg Roll Sushi turned into a dolphin and shot out a 4-octave high note I’d never heard before.
That’s how I joined the fandom.
Anyway, I decided to dig into it step by step, starting from the music video.
Perhaps because it’s a famous agency, the music video reeked of money right from the intro.
Quality that makes it hard to believe it was filmed at a high school somewhere in Bukchon. I thought they went out to Europe to film it.
But watching this magnificent MV, my chronic illness acted up again. Then, I accidentally saw an interview with an ID representative.
Something about a DASE Universe, and that they plan to gradually expand that worldview.
As someone obsessed with worldbuilding, my imagination immediately went wild.
So, here begins the ☆DASE Worldview☆ predicted entirely by me!
First, if you look at DASE’s ‘No Game’ MV, playing cards appear.
(No Game MV Capture.jpg)
In the debut song ‘No Game’, they show it blatantly right from the start.
Playing cards consist of 4 suits and 3 alphabets, and their symbols are as follows:
K/Q (King/Queen): King, Queen
J (Jack): Knight
Heart (♥): Clergy, Spring
Diamond (♦): Merchant, Summer
Clover (♣): Peasant/Citizen, Autumn
Spade (♠): Nobility, Winter
JOKER: Clown
Card colors also symbolize Day (Red) and Night (Black).
Before debut, DASE released concept photos in black & white and color.
Black & White: Yuyeon, Cheong, Minseong
Color: Yulmu, Jihan, Baekya
Spades (♠) and Clovers (♣) only have black cards, and Hearts (♥) and Diamonds (♦) only have colored cards.
Of course, K/Q/J and Joker exist in both color and black & white cards. So we can’t figure it out just from those teaser photos.
Returning to the ‘No Game’ MV.
You’ll remember Minseong spinning a card right at the start of the MV. It’s highly likely the members were assigned card suits one by one at this moment.
I can’t be certain since there are only two MVs yet, but the debut photos are definitely the first hint DASE threw at us.
(Capture of Minseong wearing a crown.jpg)
In the very first revealed ‘No Game Teaser #1’, Minseong is wearing a crown.
(Capture of Yuyeon holding a crown.jpg)
But in the official MV, Yooyeon is holding the crown.
We can guess that Minseong and Yooyeon are fighting over the position of the Crown (King).
And if you look at the lyrics,
– No Games, there is no next
To win, kill me
The members are playing some game through the cards. Perhaps something life-threatening…?
Like Russian Roulette, for example.
(Capture of members looking for something.jpg)
Where this is purely my conjecture, but I think the members are looking for the dark figure (Joker) hiding among them.
In short, a situation where they suspect each other’s identities and can’t trust anyone.
(Capture of Cheong discovering the jewelry room.jpg)
The first member to find something is Cheong.
Judging by the flashy jewels, it’s highly likely Cheong is a Spade (♠) symbolizing Nobility or a Diamond (♦) symbolizing Wealth.
Later in the MV, Baekya is also in the same room as Cheong. At this time, Baekya pulls out a fancy sword from among the treasures.
Presumed to be the Knight, J (Jack).
(Capture of Yooyeon lying on an antique chair under a chandelier.jpg)
(Capture of someone’s hand cutting the thread connected to the chandelier.jpg)
(Capture of Jihan throwing away scissors.jpg)
Then, assuming Yooyeon is the K (King), who is the person who wants to eliminate him the most?
It’s the Clown.
In the era when playing cards were created, it was an aristocratic society with classes. There, clowns were treated worse than animals.
So is Jihan the Joker?
No.
(Capture of Jihan wearing jewelry necklaces.jpg)
I’ll explain why later, but first, in ‘No Game’, the member wearing the most extravagant accessories is Jihan.
(Capture of Yulmu building a card tower.jpg)
In the MV, Yulmu is the only one not interested in finding anything.
High probability of being the Clergy, Heart (♥).
(Everyone, Yulmu is love.)
Moving on, I’ll continue the interpretation of the recently released ‘WANT ME’.
(Capture of Cheong and Baekya eating cake.jpg)
You can see the two people who were together in the treasure room in the ‘No Game’ MV are together again this time.
However, unlike Baekya’s plate which hasn’t been touched, Cheong’s plate is filled with various desserts. At this moment, Yooyeon is sitting alone on the floor.
He’s looking up at a teddy bear from below, suggesting a lower social status.
(Capture of Jihan going up to the attic.jpg)
Jihan discovers an old chess game box in a place resembling a storage room. What we need to focus on here is this chess game!
Five stars!!!!!
Chess has similarities to playing cards, mainly the fact that among the pieces, there are King/Queen and the weakest piece, the Pawn.
(Capture of DASE playing chess.jpg)
Here too, Minseong and Yooyeon show a confronting composition. It seems similar, but Minseong is slightly ahead.
Minseong is holding a white pawn, presumed to be Yooyeon’s piece.
At this time, Baekya is next to Minseong, and Jihan is sitting alone on the sofa looking down at the three of them.
And Jihan looks at the camera alone!
(Capture of Jihan eye contact.jpg)
In that scene, the marble Jihan was rolling in his hand was purple. Since ancient times, purple and violet symbolized luxury, wealth, and power in various cultures.
Since Jihan’s debut teaser was a color photo, it’s now certain that Jihan is either Diamond (♦) or King/Queen (K/Q).
You might think, ‘Isn’t he definitely Diamond (♦)?’, but Jihan has a history of cutting the chandelier to harm Yooyeon, who was holding the crown in the ‘No Game’ MV.
What if the crown belonged to Jihan, and Minseong just stumbled upon it?
What if he lured the two, who were impudent enough to covet the crown, into a board he designed himself?
Plus, Jihan was the one who discovered that chess game first.
Then, the current composition of him sitting alone on the sofa makes sense. (Of course, this is my own theory, so it might not be true).
