Possessor #2 Just Wants to Fangirl Chapter 39
[This Year’s Freshman Rep Update: Currently Massacring Classmates (Not a Metaphor)]

[Summary of Today’s YSR Incident (With Proof) (3,421)]
Posting proof first since the fake-news parrots are annoying (class schedule screenshot). Currently taking Skill Fundamentals with YSR + sat in the front row so I saw everything today.
Just the facts:
1. YSR and BHJ clashed at the welcome party.
2. During class today, BHJ challenged YSR to a spar.
3. The TA opposed it, but BHJ pressured him into proceeding. The agreement was to only use Paralysis. BHJ’s skill activation time was 15 seconds. YSR was still at the transcription stage.
4. But YSR activated Paralysis in 0.8 seconds.
5. BHJ took a direct hit and went into cardiac arrest. The wearable barrier shattered. CPR revived him, but even after taking a potion the paralysis wouldn’t wear off, so he was transferred to the medical wing.
6. YSR went to the collapsed BHJ and warned him she’d actually kill him if he acted up again.

— Does this girl ever have a quiet day
— Her abilities and personality are truly legendary
— Facts acknowledged
↳ I was there too and she didn’t give any warning
↳ She smiled in this creepy way and said “Thank you for not dying.” If that’s not a warning, what is
↳ Warning (X) Threat (O)
↳ This is accurate lololololol
— More importantly, if it only took her 0.8 seconds, why was she doing transcription practice?
↳ Maybe it was bait?
↳ The “come at me” strat
— There’s an omitted detail. YSR is claiming she’s Level 1.
↳ Level 1 broke through a wearable barrier?
↳ Not impossible imo. This is the person who manifested a catastrophe-class skill on awakening day.
Nothing particularly noteworthy?
Everyone had made such a fuss that I’d expected something huge, but this was within the expected range.
— But didn’t BHJ start it first? I think neutral is the right call here…
— Yeah, if a moth flies into a flame, why blame the fire
↳ She knows her own strength best—she shouldn’t have accepted
↳ Not defending her, but how would she know her own strength on the first day of class…
↳ She still should’ve been careful
↳ Being freshman rep doesn’t make her a saint
— I think this is the TA’s fault. The whole school knows YSR is an irregular, so going straight to 1v1 sparring without target practice or monster practice? That’s insane

↳ 33
Actually, the situation had improved compared to yesterday.
There were even some comments defending me.
They weren’t cheering for Yeon Sora per se—just people making logical rebuttals, but…
Well, honestly, this level was just right.
A villainess, but not a loser. Someone you could reason with to some extent, but who’d dish out a lesson if you pushed her too far.
That was exactly the image I wanted.
“S-Sora, I’m s-sorry… it’s because of me…”
But then Han Boram suddenly started crying big, fat tears.
“How is this your fault?”
“Y-you got involved with Baek Hyeonjung because you helped me…”
Claiming she was the root cause, she was shedding tears with tragic heroine energy.
“If it weren’t for me, this n-never would’ve happened…”
“It’s fine. I don’t regret it at all.”
“S-Sora! You’re really…!”
“So please stop crying.”
My conscience pricked a little.
Helping Han Boram had been pure coincidence.
But there was no point saying that—it would just embarrass my baby who was working so hard at crying. So I kept my mouth shut.
‘Anyway, looking at the results, it’s not bad.’
Yeon Sora’s notoriety remained intact.
I probably wouldn’t need to do any more butterfly effect cleanup.
The upcoming period would be peaceful.
Since there wasn’t much to do, I could just enjoy classes and club activities while waiting, right?
Which clubs should I join?
I pondered it through the entire meal, and even after returning to my room until right before falling asleep, but I couldn’t decide.
Gyeon Junhwi would join the Item Customization Club.
I could watch the upperclassmen go “Ohhh! This kid’s a genius!” when he whipped up ultra-difficult items, but unfortunately, only crafting-type ability users could join that club.
Ki Hyeonmin was in the Napping Club.
A club researching the art of falling asleep anytime, anywhere, and proper sleep habits. As a regressor who was always busy, he’d used club time to catch up on his sleep deficit.
If I joined the Napping Club, I could see Ki Hyeonmin’s sleeping face, but knowing him, he’d probably sense my gaze and wake up.
Sleep is essential for health!
For my baby’s health, I’d better avoid that one.
Joining the Stray Animal Care Club with Yeom Juwan and playing with cats would probably give me the highest happiness index… but I could do that without joining a club.
Maybe I should check which clubs the upperclassmen had joined before deciding?
As I continued mulling over various options, my eyes drifted shut.
* * *
When I opened my eyes, I was at the academy’s main building.
The interior was dark.
Through the window, I could see a red sunset.
An unnaturally red, blood-colored sunset.
‘A dream?’
It was one of those dreams where you know you’re dreaming.
What was the technical term for this—a lucid dream?
How fascinating.
Without thinking much, I trudged out of the main building, and the outside world had become ruins.
Piles of building debris everywhere.
And.
Human remains.
Severed limbs were scattered all around.
‘What kind of unpleasant dream is this?’
I hurried to escape this gory landscape, but then I spotted a figure collapsed up ahead.
Burning red-orange.
A familiar color.
No way…
“Yeom Juwan?”
A grown-up Yeom Juwan lay with his eyes wide open.
No focus in them.
A corpse.
“No…”
Even knowing it was a dream, my heart felt like it was being torn to shreds.
I wanted to at least close his eyes.
I reached out, but my hand passed right through Yeom Juwan’s body.
Like a ghost.
I couldn’t touch anything solid.
When I turned my gaze, I saw that Yeom Juwan’s lower half had turned to ash.
‘Don’t tell me…’
On Yeom Juwan’s left wrist was, sure enough, a purple bracelet.
That was the last trace of Han Boram.
Han Boram had cast a curse at the cost of her own life, leaving behind only a handful of hair before she vanished.
Yeom Juwan had woven her purple hair into a bracelet and worn it to carry on her will.
‘If Juwan is like this, then…’
Every hair on my body stood on end.
I frantically looked around.
Far away, in the middle of a red puddle, a figure lay collapsed.
Silver hair.
I ran over, but they were face-down, so I couldn’t see their face.
With trembling hands, I tried to turn the body over, but—
My hands couldn’t grasp anything.
I had no way to confirm whether this was my baby or not.
Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap.
A strange sound.
Someone was approaching.
A man walking with a long staff as a crutch.
Gyeon Junhwi.
His pants were torn. There was no leg below his left knee.
His right arm was just tattered sleeve fluttering weakly.
“…Too late, huh.”
Gyeon Junhwi stood still for a long moment, then limped forward again.
He approached the silver-haired corpse.
With one foot and one hand, he laboriously turned the body over.
“……”
He put his ear to the nose.
Pressed his ear against the blood-soaked chest too.
And then.
Simply crumpled to the ground where he stood.
“You dead?”
“……”
No answer came.
“Why’d you have to kick the bucket so fast, you’re supposed to be a regressor…”
“……”
Gyeon Junhwi’s gaze swept across the surroundings.
In this vast space, Gyeon Junhwi was the only moving life form.
“This all happened because you didn’t listen.”
“……”
“I told you to just do as I said, but you never fucking listened.”
“……”
Alone in the world.
Gyeon Junhwi continued his monologue.
His voice was cracking.
Between each word, labored breathing could be heard.
“Did you ditch me and move on to the next cycle by yourself?”
“……”
“I carried you this far—you could at least take me with you. No loyalty at all.”
“……”
“I guess there’s nothing I can do since you’ve already left.”
“……”
“Next life, don’t live like an idiot.”
“……”
“Remember the answers I showed you and use them.”
“……”
“Don’t go trying to get close to whoever Gyeon Junhwi is over there.”
Pfft.
A hollow laugh escaped.
“That’s… not me.”
Time was almost up.
With labored breath, Gyeon Junhwi forced out his final words.
“I’m sorry. This is as far as I go.”
He closed his eyes.
His body trembled finely.
And then.
Went limp.
“NOOOOO!!!!!!”
My eyes flew open.
My face was drenched in tears.
My heart was pounding wildly.
With trembling hands I patted down my body—I could feel every sensation.
Reality.
That earlier scene was a dream.
‘That’s right, it was a dream. Just a dream!’
No matter how many times I repeated it to myself, I couldn’t breathe.
My respiratory system wasn’t working properly.
The dream I’d just had.
That wasn’t just any dream.
It was the final scene of <On the Brink of Destruction>.
* * *
“Hey, Yeon Sora! What’s wrong with your face?”
“Juwan!!!”
“Wh-what’s going on?”
The next morning.
The moment I saw Yeom Juwan, tears burst out of me like a fountain and I ran to him.
After confirming that my baby’s head was properly attached to his neck, and that his arms and legs were intact—
“Th-thank god… Huwaaaahhh.”
The relief made me sob uncontrollably.
Yeom Juwan looked flustered, but he didn’t ask anything and quietly patted my back.
He only asked questions after I’d turned off the waterworks.
“What happened?”
“A dream…”
I couldn’t explain further.
Just using the word “dream” made goosebumps rise all over my body and set me trembling.
Seeming to notice, Yeom Juwan didn’t press any further.
“Making such a fuss over one little dream. Are you a baby?”
I shook my head.
“Can you go to class? Do you want to take the day off?”
I shook my head again vigorously.
I couldn’t skip class.
Absolutely not.
I barely managed to calm my heart and moved on, but the moment I entered the classroom, the tear dam burst again.
“Boram!”
“S-Sora?”
I hugged Han Boram tight and confirmed this child’s survival status and limb attachment as well. Meanwhile, Yeom Juwan kindly provided supplementary explanation.
“Yeon Sora says she had a strange dream.”
“A dream…?”
Once I’d finished checking Han Boram, the next step was—
“Jun…”
…hwi—but we weren’t close enough for that yet.
I barely held onto my reason and conducted Gyeon Junhwi’s status check remotely.
Two arms on the desk. Check.
Two legs under the desk. Check.
He’s fine! He’s alive! He’s not hurt!
When I turned my gaze, at the very back seat of the classroom was…
‘Ki Hyeonmin?’
Today, Ki Hyeonmin had also come to school to submit his club application.
My baby #2 was slumped over on his desk.
Slumped over…
I walked deliberately to my seat.
My seat was directly in front of Ki Hyeonmin’s.
With all my strength, I yanked my chair back hard—
Bang!
My chair collided with Ki Hyeonmin’s desk with a loud noise.
Ki Hyeonmin lifted his head with a bewildered expression.
Don’t lie face-down like that!
That’s traumatic for me, you know!
“Sorry, she’s not usually like this… She had a nightmare and she’s a bit off. Please understand.”
Yeom Juwan apologized on my behalf, and Han Boram scurried over to wipe my tears.
“Sora, if you’re feeling this bad, maybe you should go to your room early?”
I shook my head hard.
Absolutely not.
Under no circumstances would I leave early.
There had to be a reason I’d had that dream.
It was telling me to stay alert.
‘I’ve been too relaxed lately.’
It was true I’d been floating around, distracted by sightseeing the academy and watching my babies.
But this world was going to be destroyed.
And my babies would die.
Exactly as I’d seen in that dream.
I’d been summoned to this world to prevent that.
I clenched my fists and renewed my commitment to focus on destruction prevention, when I heard Yeom Juwan and Han Boram whispering to each other.
‘S-Sora… Is she really okay like that?’
‘She’ll be fine. It probably just startled her.’
Yes, you two get along!
We have to prevent destruction together!
…As I was thinking that, a translucent window popped up.

A communication channel with my baby #1 had opened.
I had to tell Gyeon Junhwi too.
That even with one possessor entering, this world would still be destroyed.
| Gyeon Junhwi | A dream… The same dream as last time?
| Yeon Sora | Yeah ㅜㅜ
| Gyeon Junhwi | What kind of dream?
| Yeon Sora | If you’re not careful… you’ll die ㅜㅜ Everyone dies ㅠㅜㅜ
| Gyeon Junhwi | …Let’s talk when it’s just the two of us
I’d been so absorbed in the villainess cosplay lately that I’d been too neglectful of my prophet duties.
Time to focus on my main job.
After setting up a meeting time with Gyeon Junhwi, I hurriedly opened another group chat.
There was another important thing I had to do.
| Yeon Sora | Club recruitment starts today. Want to go check it out together?
| Lee Hyojun | Let’s go
| No Jitae | Of course we should go together.
| Park Rahee | Let’s meet in front of the club building after class
I had to find the subordinate.
As quickly as possible.
