Wine and Poison Chapter 31 - Desire

Author: Nikss

Langsion’s heart pounded fiercely.

With eyes glistening from tears, she stood tall and straight, gazing at him—she looked exactly like a goddess of war.

Not because of some ordinary archery skill, but because of the unyielding spirit that burned with passion instead of breaking.

An aura so alluring it made one want to reach out and touch her radiated and extended from her in waves; it was truly awe-inspiring.

“I’m certain.”

“…”

“Look at Master. It’s already half undone.”

The doubt that had been rising in her eyes gradually cleared. Scylla nodded.

“In exchange, tell me everything.”

“…”

“Everything about you, Master.”

That way, the curse can be lifted.

Langsion whispered in a voice full of trustworthy conviction.

“I once sought help at the temple of the wise goddess.”

“…”

“After I ended up like this.”

Scylla’s dry voice echoed calmly through the air. But she was far from composed. Her trembling eyes wandered aimlessly through the past.

Langsion gently stroked her round ear with a natural touch.

Scylla, lost in memories, didn’t even notice what he was doing.

“And then?”

“They said I had insulted the goddess’s love. That if I could complete love even in this form, the curse would be lifted. It’s absurd. Who would ever… with this old and ugly body…”

The past—where she had never properly dared to hope and had simply given up—seeped through her self-deprecating tone.

Langsion could tell without even looking. He could see it as clearly as if he had witnessed it firsthand.

After receiving the oracle from the wise goddess, she had wandered the cities searching for a human who could love her, only to be rejected countless times until she finally gave up and fled to the mountains.

It must have been unbearably painful and lonely.

The more she yearned for love, the more she realized that no one would ever love her in return.

How heartbreaking. If only someone had noticed how beautiful her soul was, they could have met her true form, as beautiful as that soul.

He didn’t believe in luck, yet for once a ridiculous thought crossed his mind: perhaps the goddesses of fortune and destiny had blessed his path this time.

“I’m right here, Master.”

“…”

“Your disciple, who can do anything for you, is standing right here.”

Langsion cupped Scylla’s cheeks gently with both hands.

“You?”

“The proof is that your curse has already been lifted.”

“…”

“Even if it’s only temporary for now.”

With shameless confidence, Langsion pressed his lips to those of the still-confused Scylla.

Unlike her daytime self, her lips were plump and smooth. The way she froze, utterly at a loss for what to do, was so unbearably adorable that Langsion’s eyes crinkled into a smile.

Even though her body bore Hera’s curse, her essence had never changed.

As the god of intoxication, his smile could enchant humans the way wine did, and Scylla’s face flushed a deep red.

The memories of their bodies entwined all through the night must still have been occupying her mind.

Seizing the moment, Langsion slipped his tongue out and lightly licked her lips.

“So what exactly is the solution you’re thinking of?”

Langsion rolled his eyes briefly. A word he had never once uttered in his entire life rose to his mind.

Finding it amusing, he whispered softly,

“Love, Master.”

“…”

“The wise goddess said it plainly. To be loved.”

‘Ha…’

Scylla let out a hollow laugh. Langsion opened his eyes wide.

“Looks like you don’t believe it.”

He rubbed the back of his hand against her cheek.

What are you doing?

Scylla turned her head away as though annoyed.

“There isn’t a single wrinkle.”

He said it seriously, as if that was the reason he wanted to tell her—though truthfully it was because her skin glowed so white and smooth that he couldn’t resist touching it.

“Our bodies came together, and the curse lifted, even if just for a little while. What do you think that means?”

“…No way…”

Scylla’s face drained of color.

Sleeping together had lifted the curse.

The wise goddess had said love was the key to breaking the curse.

Those two facts pointed to only one conclusion.

Be loved.

The more they slept together, the more the curse would unravel.

“I’ll love you, Master. Please allow me to do so.”

Scylla blankly watched as Langsion took her hand and slowly dragged his tongue between each of her fingers.

“Don’t you want the curse to be completely lifted?”

“…”

“Or perhaps… You actually like things the way they are now?”

He lightly bit the tip of her finger, then sucked on it with soft, wet sounds as he whispered.

Scylla’s expression gradually twisted.

“Like things the way they are now…?”

“…”

“Because of this curse, I lost everything.”

There was a vast, pitch-black hole inside Scylla’s heart.

Deep, suffocating emptiness and loneliness dwelled within it.

What if I pushed myself into that space?

Langsion stopped licking her fingers and immediately pressed his lips to hers.

Scylla didn’t push him away; she simply stayed still. When Langsion nudged her lips with the tip of his tongue, she hesitated for only a moment before quietly parting them.

He slid his tongue deep inside her mouth.

The sweet taste of sweet potato soup lingered there.

Tilting his head, he swirled his tongue thoroughly around the inside of her mouth. He rubbed the broad surface in slow, rhythmic strokes, then drew her tongue in and sucked hard.

Only after coaxing a faint moan from her throat did Langsion finally pull back.

A lewd, silvery thread of saliva stretched between their lips. While gently rubbing the curve of her ear, Langsion gazed at her flushed, heated cheeks.

Haah… haah…

Scylla’s chest rose and fell rapidly as she struggled to catch her breath.

In an instant, the air grew thick with sexual heat.

As she instinctively stepped back, Langsion closed the distance again.

“I will gladly break your curse for you, Master.”

He placed a hand on the cheek she had turned away and kissed the other one.

“Are you… Are you really okay with this?”

“…”

“With a body like mine…”

“You’re asking if I’m okay holding you?”

Scylla didn’t answer. Instead, her face stiffened.

“Ahh, Master.”

“…”

“If I weren’t okay with it, would this have happened?”

Langsion guided her hand between his legs. It was already swollen and hot, straining noticeably.

Scylla flinched violently and yanked her hand away in shock.

Recalling that this very thing had been going in and out of her body for such a long time, a shameful heat rose in her eyes. Her tightly closed lips, as though she couldn’t forgive herself for feeling this way, drew his gaze.

She looked like a cat trying to hide its true feelings, and the sight made Langsion want to immediately strip every last piece of clothing off her.

If she had nothing left to wear, wouldn’t she be forced to be a little more honest?

Just like last night.

He smiled. The dark desire in his heart was concealed beneath a gentle, soft expression.

🫧

“Ngh, ngh!”

“Master— ah, Master… haa…”

On the kitchen floor, where nothing more than scattered clothing had been laid down as makeshift bedding, Langsion claimed Scylla from behind and snapped his hips forward.

Each time he thrust in, he narrowed his eyes and watched the slender muscles of her back twitch and writhe, still unaccustomed to the intrusion.

Scylla clutched at the pile of clothes spread beneath her.

“The clothes— hng— if you take them all out like this… what am I going to wear…!”

“Are you seriously worrying about that right now?”

You won’t need them anymore anyway.

Hiding his true thoughts, Langsion pressed his chest tightly against the smooth curve of her flexible back. He reached forward, captured one of her nipples between his fingers, and twisted.

At the same moment, he slammed his hips forward hard.

Pang!

Scylla gasped sharply and sucked in a frantic breath.

“Shouldn’t you be more concerned, Master… whew… with how many times I’m going to come inside you?”

“Ha, haah, agh—!”

“The more I come, the more we can overpower the curse’s power.”

“Ah— wait, wait just a moment…!”

“Master, I’m going to come again— ngh!”

Gripping her full, heavy breasts firmly with both hands, Langsion drove his hips forward with forceful thrusts.

‘Haa…’

His hot breath spilled across her shoulder.

The instant he released his weight, Scylla’s strength gave out, and she collapsed onto the floor.

‘Ha… uhh… hmm…’

Her limbs trembled with the aftershocks of climax.

Langsion looked down at her through half-lidded eyes, still buried to the hilt inside her like a waterskin pressed to someone’s mouth.
