Non-Resistance Chapter 22
While looking at the man ordering something while viewing the menu, Yeongin took in the blue sea spread out beyond the full-length window. He hadn’t been able to see it properly yesterday because he was too distracted and it was late, but the blue sea he was seeing after a long time was beautiful.
Yeongin, who had been staring at the scenery in a daze, only straightened his head again when numerous dishes were laid out on the table.
“You ordered too much, it seems…”
The side dishes, which he thought were finished, came out once more, and finally, an enormously scary and sharp-looking king crab was placed in the center. Yeongin, who was seeing this for the first time, looked at Dogeon with flustered eyes.
“What do you usually eat that makes you say this is a lot?”
Dogeon, holding a large claw, cleanly cracked the shell with a snap and handed it to Yeongin. Yeongin looked at the crab meat, which was as big as his fist.
“Eat it before it gets cold.”
“Ah, yes. I’ll eat well…”
Chewing with his mouth moving, Yeongin inwardly marveled at the salty and sweet crab meat. He had only ever eaten imitation crab meat from gimbap before, but this was incomparably delicious.
Dogeon watched Yeongin’s slightly parted lips trembling with admiration, then separated the remaining legs from their shells and placed them on the plate in front of him.
“Ah, fuck, it smells fishy.”
“Ah, sorry. Should I do it?”
He had been accepting everything too comfortably. Startled by the man’s words, Yeongin shrugged his shoulders and reached out after putting down his chopsticks. The man, with furrowed brows, added as if it was fine.
“It’s okay. The person who already touched it should finish it. You just focus on putting it in your mouth.”
Still, Dogeon didn’t seem to be eating well…. After thinking for a moment, Yeongin picked up a piece of fully separated crab meat and held it out to the man.
“What? You’re feeding me?”
“Ah, yes…. It felt like I was the only one eating.”
It did feel like he was being fed, but he still felt sorry and wanted to do at least this much. The man’s lips curved up with a small laugh. Yeongin, who was seeing him smile like this for the first time, blinked his large eyes.
Dogeon grabbed Yeongin’s wrist, lowered his head, and chewed the piece in his mouth. Staring at the man’s moving jaw, Yeongin thought that it felt like the two of them were on a trip together.
Suddenly remembering how Dogeon had personally washed him last night, Yeongin’s face turned bright red. It really felt like they were a normal couple like this…. While blankly continuing that thought, he made eye contact with the man and snapped back to his senses.
‘What kind of delusion am I having right now…’
Dogeon only needed a sex partner, yet he had fallen into a strange misunderstanding on his own. Yeongin hurriedly lowered his head to avoid the man’s gaze and put a side dish that came with the king crab into his mouth.
Sitting across from him, Dogeon quietly stared at Yeongin. When he saw that Yeongin somehow couldn’t make eye contact with him and that the back of his white neck had turned red, the corners of his mouth pulled up into a smile. It was easy to tell what he was thinking because it was clearly written on his face. The fact that he was having such thoughts despite his situation was both cute and funny, which made him laugh.
With a small snort of laughter, Dogeon unnecessarily placed more food on Yeongin’s plate and stared intently at the eyes that were avoiding him.

After finishing the meal and stepping outside, Dogeon took the car keys out of his pocket. At the beep sound, Yeongin shifted his gaze and widened his eyes in surprise at the car that had changed in just one day.
“Get in.”
“When did you change the car?”
“Just now.”
Then what happened to the previous car? Even Yeongin, who knew nothing about cars, knew that Dogeon’s car was extremely expensive. Yesterday, in that car, he had spilled semen, some unknown liquid, and… according to Dogeon… a lot of “pussy juice” as well. Recalling himself from yesterday made Yeongin’s face turn pale.
It couldn’t be unusable now, right? Still, since it’s a car, maybe it could be fixed? But then how much would the repair cost be…
“Ha Yeongin.”
“Then, the repair cost…”
“I won’t ask you to pay me back, so just get in. It’s cold.”
With the college entrance exam right around the corner, the weather had become quite chilly. Especially by the seaside, the sharply blowing wind was cold. Seeing Dogeon wearing only a knit sweater because of him, Yeongin got into the passenger seat with an apologetic expression.
“Enter your home address.”
“…Huh?”
“Is there something you’re hiding at home? Why do you always hide things like this?”
Since he would find out in half a day anyway, Dogeon urged Yeongin and told him to enter his home address into the navigation. After hesitating for a moment, Yeongin had no choice but to enter the address of his studio apartment building and leaned back in his seat.
“But why did we go to the sea?”
“To fuck you.”
So that was it after all. Yeongin thought it was good that he stopped himself from having useless expectations. Dogeon, who increased speed on the highway that was less congested than when they came, added while looking at Yeongin’s gloomy expression from earlier.
“And to feed you something delicious.”
“…”
“Last time I saw you eat seafood well. Things like this taste better when you eat them fresh on site.”
The only time Yeongin had eaten with Dogeon was that previous meal at his house, which was the first and last time. He wondered how Dogeon had noticed his taste. Yeongin rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment and stared at Dogeon’s side profile as he held the steering wheel with one hand.
“Next time, let’s go eat raw fish. I know a good place.”
“…Yes. Sounds good.”
Yeongin’s expression brightened as if he had never been gloomy. Finding that sight pleasing, Dogeon reached out and rubbed his soft cheek. Even though he hadn’t rubbed hard, Yeongin’s cheek began to heat up.
A moment later, Yeongin finally let out the breath he had been holding when the hand moved away again. His rapidly beating heartbeat felt uncomfortable. Afraid the man might hear it, Yeongin held his breath and turned his gaze out the window.
He secretly stole glances at Dogeon’s face reflected in the window and thought that although the beginning was a mess, perhaps his relationship with the man could get better in the future.
Unlike Dogeon’s neat and well-organized neighborhood, Yeongin’s neighborhood was full of illegal parking and crowded people, making it difficult for the car to even enter.
“Fucking bastard.”
Beep— Dogeon’s expression twisted fiercely at the bicycle that suddenly jumped out. Every time that happened, Yeongin felt uncomfortable in his seat as if sitting on a bed of thorns. It would be faster to just get off here and walk. While moving his lips and wondering what to do, the car started moving again.
“Is this it?”
“Uh, y-yes.”
In front of the building they had arrived at with difficulty, Yeongin nodded with an exhausted face. He neatly folded Dogeon’s clothes, placed them down, and picked up his bag.
By the way, what about the cardigan? He didn’t have many clothes suitable for autumn…. His worries increased, but Yeongin, holding the doorknob, spoke.
“Um, Dogeon, thank you for driving me here. And… next time, I’ll definitely buy you a meal.”
He had only been receiving meals every time, and now that he had a bit of financial leeway, he could at least buy a meal. After finishing his greeting and trying to open the door, it wouldn’t open because it was locked. When Yeongin turned his head, Dogeon, sitting in a slanted posture, asked.
“Never mind that. Is this the end?”
“Huh…?”
Ah, maybe he wanted money. Come to think of it, just the meal earlier had cost well over 300,000 won, and with the hotel fee plus gas and car repair costs, the total expense must have been enormous.
He had been accepting everything without thinking. Yeongin rubbed his flushed cheeks in embarrassment at the belated realization. He hurriedly took out his old wallet from his bag and counted the money he had.
Confirming that he only had one green bill and one blue bill, he spoke with a flustered face.
“Um, I don’t have cash right now, so maybe bank transfer…”
“Fuck, not that. We came all the way here—aren’t you going to at least buy me coffee or something?”
“Our house… shop?”
“Yeah, I’m so thirsty I feel like I’m about to die.”
Dogeon nodded and got out of the car. Staring at the man’s back as he stood up, Yeongin also got out of the car and followed him. Was he really going to their house? His house was much smaller than the man’s room. Although he tried to keep it as clean as possible, it was quite old and dirty…
“What are you doing?”
“Ah, yes…. But I’m not sure if there’s any coffee.”
If he had known this would happen, he should have bought something in advance. Yeongin regretted it belatedly as he entered the building and climbed the stairs.
“This… is it.”
The old hinges creaked as Yeongin opened the front door and looked at Dogeon, who was surveying his studio apartment. Since it was small enough to see everything at a glance and there wasn’t much to look at, he felt a bit embarrassed by how seriously the man was examining the room.
