Damn! Damn! Chapter 25
Achim just nodded a few times, pretending to understand.
“You know, that’s not the only reason he’s sexy.”
It’s still not over?
Achim looked back at her in surprise, but the maid kept speaking while continuing to steal cautious glances at Greta.
“Why do you think he increased the number of guards?”
Because he knows that a guy who is already a beast turns into an even bigger beast when—
“Because he practices premarital chastity…!”
“…”
Achim stared at the maid with a truly bewildered face.
Pre… what?
Having unintentionally reviewed the things Michael had spat out yesterday, Achim raised his hand and gently caressed his eardrums, which had been battered by the man the previous day.
“You really don’t know anything.”
The maid gave Achim a pitiful look. Left speechless, Achim could only stare at her.
“Even though he hasn’t explicitly stated it publicly… what do you think is the reason he has endured every single rut entirely alone until now?”
“…”
“Isn’t it obviously to keep his purity for his one and only future Omega?”
The maid neatly stacked her palms together and brought them up to her chest. The way she even tightly closed both eyes made it look as if she were performing some pious ritual. Watching her, a certain voice came to mind.
— I’m going to rip that belly open.
Seriously, shouldn’t that guy have been an actor? If he had, he would have swept every single award out there.
While Achim was seriously debating this, the female Linus opened her eyes wide again.
“The person who becomes Mr. Michael’s spouse must have been a hero who saved the country in their past life.”
“I’m sure of it,” the maid said, nodding with absolute resolve as if she had verified it with her own eyes. Then, her eyebrows slumped into a pout again. The way her expression shifted by the second, combined with how talkative she was, strongly reminded him of Linus.
“How wonderful would it be to carry his child?”
“That…”
Don’t. Achim tried to say it but couldn’t bring himself to finish the sentence, covering his eyes with his palm instead. If he spoke, she was bound to ask why, and he just couldn’t bring himself to say it was because she and her child would end up dead.
When Achim left his sentence hanging, the female Linus shoved her face forward again.
“Huh?”
Achim dropped his palm and gave a quiet reply. “Nothing.”
The female Linus, who was blinking innocently, finally quieted down after receiving a scolding from Greta.
The reason that bastard had endured his ruts entirely alone until now? That was something he could deduce without much difficulty. It was undoubtedly to completely block out any possibility of a partner getting pregnant.
Of course, there were methods like using condoms or withdrawing, but knowing how vicious that guy was, he clearly refused to tolerate even a fraction of a percent of a chance.
He was a guy who had literally said he would rip open the belly of an Omega carrying his kid, after all…
Then again, there was a reason why the term ‘beast’ was attached to an Alpha during their rut. With their reason half-gone, would they even have the mental capacity to worry about condoms or anything else? The probability of pregnancy would shoot up just as much as the frequency of intercourse. In a way, the man might just be sticking to a wise method.
By the way, spending his heat cycles without a partner…
The word ‘hardcore’ wasn’t enough to describe it. Although Achim had never experienced it himself since he was a Beta, he had heard plenty about it to know.
Whether it was an Alpha or an Omega, the symptoms they suffered when they didn’t relieve their pheromones through mucosal contact.
A high fever that felt like dipping one’s head into boiling liquid lead was basic, and it was said that headaches proportional to the heat, along with chills, would set in at any given moment.
Alphas, in particular, experienced much wider fluctuations; some would lose consciousness after failing to endure the rampaging pheromones, and a rare few would even lose their lives from failing to control their excessively fast-beating hearts.
If a regular Alpha was at that level, wouldn’t it be even more severe for Michael, who was a Royal Alpha? Could it be that he cared more about someone carrying his child than his own life?
Even while doubting it, Achim thought that if it was him, he might very well be like that.
“…”
Suddenly, Achim recalled his mission.
Stealing his semen and handing it over meant that the guy’s seed was bound to be planted somewhere.
The semen of a man who already thought about ripping open a belly that held a child who wasn’t even conceived yet… And if an Omega carrying his child actually appeared…
Why had he only thought of this now? It wouldn’t be for consumption, so the request to procure semen itself had to be for that purpose.
Neither when he accepted the request nor after he entered the mansion did he expect Michael Bernhard to hate Omegas and children to this extent… so he had subconsciously brushed it aside.
— Before a bullet hole is put through your body without anyone knowing.
In that instant, the words Linus had offered as advice flashed through his mind. At the same time, the thought that things might truly get dangerous crept in.
“That is all for today. If you have any questions, please ask.”
Greta said, looking around at the dozens of maids.
Right when a few of them were about to raise their hands, a sudden knock, knock echoed from outside the door. Having noticed the silence late because he was lost in thought, Achim shifted his gaze a beat late, following the eyes of the maids.
Creak. Through the gap of the opening door, a now-familiar face appeared. It was Wolfgang Apel.
The moment Achim scowled, thinking ‘no way,’ Wolfgang called his name, completely living up to expectations.
“Yvonne Rasch.”
It was a gathering where every single maid in the mansion was present. Dozens of pupils flew at Achim like a swarm of bees.
Dammit. As Achim chewed on his internal curses and reluctantly replied, “Yes,” the female Linus next to him widened her eyes in shock.
“Y-you’re Yvonne…?”
She might not have known his face, but it seemed even the female Linus had already caught wind of the rumor. Instead of giving her an answer, Achim stood up from his seat.
As he walked toward the door, taking in all kinds of piercing glares directed his way, Achim clenched his jaw tight.
That piece of shit, I told him it ruins my marriage prospects…
🖤🥀
“This isn’t what we agreed on, sir.”
The moment Achim faced Michael, he demanded answers.
Of course, given their vertical relationship, he did his absolute best to maintain his manners, but his rigid face carried anger that he couldn’t quite conceal.
Michael, who was sitting on the sofa with his legs crossed, looked at him, then rested his head on the hand draped over the backrest and asked.
“Agreed?”
His face wore a look of complete ignorance. To soothe his insides, Achim secretly let out a long sigh.
“I asked you to make sure rumors wouldn’t spread.”
“…”
“We clearly… on that condition…”
Suddenly, Achim stopped talking. It was because the corners of Michael’s mouth had tilted upward before he knew it.
Why? Did I say something funny?
Staring into those eyes that were slowly narrowing along with the corners of his mouth, Achim asked.
“…Why are you laughing, sir?”
At those words, Michael let out an ‘Ah,’ then rubbed his mouth with his large hand.
“It’s nothing. Keep going.”
“…”
This wasn’t a timing to laugh. Moreover, to tell him to keep staying angry with a thoroughly amused expression. Had he been thinking about something else? …Then again. If you laugh while looking at an angry person, that makes you a psychopath.
“I’m saying it’s difficult for me when I’m around people. So, if possible, when I’m alone…”
Achim stopped talking again. It was because Michael’s eyes, which were covered as he pretended to rub his mouth, were curved in a long arch.
This motherfucker!
Why wouldn’t he be a psychopath? If he wasn’t one, the definition of a psychopath would have to be rewritten. Resenting himself for almost falling for that glossy face for a split second, Achim tightly pressed his lips together.
“Why did you stop talking mid-sentence?”
Michael asked, his face still unable to entirely erase the trace of amusement. When Achim merely stared intently at him with his mouth clamped shut, Michael spoke with a face that had suddenly stripped away all laughter.
“Be that as it may…”
“…”
“Didn’t I instruct you not to look at me with those eyes?”
How on earth could someone expect their own words to be remembered while completely failing to remember what others said? It seemed no one could beat him when it came to being shameless.
As Achim kept his mouth shut, Michael slowly scanned him up and down.
“I told you not to look at me with those eyes unless you want your top hole or bottom hole to turn completely ragged.”
“…”
“Or do you truly wish for me to do that for you?”
“No way in hell…!”
