Wedding Ending Chapter 19

Author: nicotine

Min Jaeyoon placed the pillow on top of his stomach and looked up at Kang Seunghyun. The smooth forehead, the slender bridge of the nose, and the nicely settled lips—it matched the Kang Seunghyun in Min Jaeyoon’s memory exactly, but he had no choice but to admit that he was undeniably different now. Especially his flippant behavior and way of speaking. His attitude was just like that.

“Spread your legs.”

When Min Jaeyoon did not move, looking like a block of wood, Kang Seunghyun tossed the bothersome pillow away. One of Min Jaeyoon’s knees curled upward as if folding, and then it lifted slightly. The fingers fumbling over his buttocks were cold. Min Jaeyoon’s hole twitched and tensed up on its own.

“It’s a little swollen. It didn’t tear, though. It looks like you can take more?”

Kang Seunghyun muttered as he toyed with the secret hole inside the parted thighs. Min Jaeyoon shouted back in spite.

“I can’t! I said I can’t take any more!”

Min Jaeyoon pushed his arm away and fled from the bed. Fearing that he might follow, he ran away at full speed without even looking back.

Min Jaeyoon, hurrying across the living room, went into his own room and slammed the door shut. Not feeling safe with just that, he even locked it. Min Jaeyoon’s legs gave out limply. He plop-sat down, clutched his head in his hands, and mumbled.

“…Where did you go.”

Where on earth did the Kang Seunghyun I knew disappear to!

💍

Min Jaeyoon, having finished a quick shower, threw on a robe and tied the sash around his waist. He didn’t even have the mental leeway to soak in the bathtub. Approaching the powder room, Min Jaeyoon’s complexion was pale. He stared at the bruising engraved on his slender neck and the chest revealed through the gaps of his robe.

Min Jaeyoon shook out his wet hair with a towel. Kang Seunghyun was seriously misunderstanding something. He seemed to think that they had burned with passion and naturally gotten married because of it.

Min Jaeyoon grimaced as he put on his pants.

It hurts like hell…!

Most of his clothes were tight enough to reveal the lines of his body. Min Jaeyoon fell into thought as he buttoned his shirt.

—As expected, you know me well. So you have to stay by my side until I recover my memory.

Kang Seunghyun’s low-reverberating voice disrupted his ears.

He said until he recovers his memory. Does that mean he won’t even give him a divorce before then?

Perhaps he suffered a psychological blow from losing his memory. He recalled a memory of watching a video where a duckling hatched from an egg and followed the first person it saw, taking them for its mother. The person he saw as soon as he opened his eyes in the hospital was none other than Min Jaeyoon. That might be why he needs me.

The past Kang Seunghyun handled everything on his own. He made it so Min Jaeyoon never needed to step up or interfere. Even among older people, Kang Seunghyun was never lacking. Rather, he was so bold that he rarely got rattled by ordinary matters.

He didn’t rely on Min Jaeyoon. He had an independent personality. If Kang Seunghyun recovers his memory, if he returns to his original self, he will undoubtedly grant the divorce. Especially since he likes Lee Yuseong. There would be no reason to drag out this stagnant marriage anymore.

Staring into the mirror, Min Jaeyoon knit his brows. He clicked his tongue as he looked at the red and purple marks on the nape of his neck. He took off the shirt he had painstakingly buttoned up and put on a turtleneck instead.

Min Jaeyoon carefully unlocked and opened the door. He looked around through the slowly opening gap of the door. It was quiet. The inside of their house was originally filled with silence.

Slowly, he took a step forward. Walking on his tiptoes, he stopped and scanned the area warily. However, Kang Seunghyun was nowhere to be seen.

He headed to the study, not the room where Kang Seunghyun was. There was no argument about the fact that Kang Seunghyun needed his help. That was that, but before then, there was something he had to do.

Min Jaeyoon looked around once more and grabbed the doorknob of the study.

“….”

After he stepped inside the empty study, he closed the door soundlessly. Phew… Min Jaeyoon exhaled a long breath of relief.

The inside of the room was messy. The traces of the previous day’s lovemaking remained just as they were. Min Jaeyoon felt as though the memory of his very brain being pickled by the scent of Kang Seunghyun’s pheromones, which pierced his lungs, was being recalled. Fanning himself with his hand, Min Jaeyoon quickened his steps.

“Seunghyun put it in here….”

Min Jaeyoon opened the first drawer and closed it. It was full of nothing but office supplies. He couldn’t trust the current Kang Seunghyun at all. He couldn’t predict where he would bounce off to. Therefore, he needed an insurance policy to hold onto just in case.

Min Jaeyoon closed the second drawer as well. Subsequently, his face brightened as he opened the third one. However, he soon showed a disappointed expression. There was paper inside, but no matter how much he rummaged through it, it wasn’t what Min Jaeyoon was looking for.

It was just as Min Jaeyoon was about to reach for the last drawer.

“!”

At the sound of a click, the door opening, Min Jaeyoon, who had been squatting, curled his body into an even tighter ball. Contrary to his frantic appearance, Kang Seunghyun walked in leisurely. His hair was wet, as if he had taken a shower. Kang Seunghyun, whose profile was half-visible, was wearing a robe.

“Was the room with the clothes not this one?”

Min Jaeyoon blocked his nose and mouth with both hands. He hoped Kang Seunghyun wouldn’t notice and would just leave. However, his wish did not come true.

“What are you doing here? Like a cat. Is there a fish in there?”

Kang Seunghyun unconcernedly approached and leaned his upper body down. It was as if he was trying to check where Min Jaeyoon was looking by matching his line of sight. Min Jaeyoon fell backward. He plonked his buttocks on the cold floor. A sharp pain rushed in at that instant, but that kind of thing isn’t important right now.

“S… Seunghyun.”

“Yeah.”

Min Jaeyoon reached his hand backward, trying to lean on the floor. However, his palm slipped from being damp with sweat.

He had come to get the ‘Confirmation of Agreement to Divorce’. He didn’t know when Kang Seunghyun might suddenly change. For any eventuality, Min Jaeyoon also needed at least one card in his hand. It was simply that.

It was at that moment. Something wrapped firmly around the palm of Min Jaeyoon’s hand as he flailed around. It felt like a pillar, and it also felt like a piece of ice. Sitting flat on the floor, Min Jaeyoon held it out in front of him.

At the same time, Min Jaeyoon also confirmed what it was that he was holding. A crystal trophy. On the front, where the inside could be clearly seen, the three characters of the name ‘ITF Tennis Tournament Singles Winner Kang Seunghyun’ were written. Min Jaeyoon’s eyes went round at why this of all things was caught in his hand. However, before the crisis, his questions were pushed far away.

“How you can recover your memory. I thought about it carefully.”

Kang Seunghyun, who had been looking at the desk drawer, turned his head.

“And?”

At the singles tournament managed by the International Tennis Federation (ITF), Kang Seunghyun won at the age of 17. The reason Min Jaeyoon remembered it so vividly was because Lee Yuseong had placed second in the doubles tournament that year. He had a memory of being happier that Lee Yuseong had slipped up, rather than being happy that Kang Seunghyun had won.

“You were very good at tennis.”

The one who first started tennis was Kang Jion. Of course, to him, it was nothing more than a hobby. That was the same for Min Jaeyoon. So he naturally assumed it would be the same for Kang Seunghyun too.

However, Kang Seunghyun suddenly entered that tournament. And after winning, he never went out to a tournament ever again. Coaches sought him out and his name was put on mass media, being handled as a big stir for a while, but they were things that fell woefully short of the background Kang Seunghyun possessed.

Min Jaeyoon judged that Kang Seunghyun had lost interest because he won too easily. At any rate, such things didn’t matter since the current Kang Seunghyun couldn’t remember them. Min Jaeyoon held out the trophy to break through the crisis.

“If you go to a tennis court, you’ll definitely remember.”

“Hmm.”

Kang Seunghyun made an indistinguishable sound and rubbed under his chin. As he straightened his bent upper body, the overbearing pressure that had been weighing down on his entire body vanished as well. Min Jaeyoon picked himself up.

Fortunately, it seems I tricked him well….

Min Jaeyoon looked down at the squeezed trophy. And he glanced back. The place where this used to be… was at the very bottom, in the corner of the shelf. Why on earth did he leave it in a place like that?

An ordinary person was bound to put a trophy in the most visible spot.

Anyway, that guy really is peculiar.

Min Jaeyoon placed the trophy he was staring at onto a shelf higher than his height. Turning his body, he stared at Kang Seunghyun, who was looking at him.

“The dress room is next to here. Change your clothes first. Let’s go after eating. I’m hungry.”
