Lee Yuseong checked the seat number drawn on the post-it, placed the pasta plate on the tray, and hurriedly moved his steps.

“Yuseong, just a moment.”

Just as he was heading toward table 5, something wrapped around his wrist. At the cold, chilly sensation, Yuseong shook off the hand without realizing it.

“Ah.”

“Sorry. I must have startled you.”

“Ah, no. I’m sorry… I did it without thinking.”

A painted-on eye smile and soft lips greeted Lee Yuseong. It was the person standing in front of the bar. Kim Wooju.

“It’s fine. I’m sorry for startling you.”

Despite the behavior that might have been somewhat rude, he gently softened his bright face and smiled. It was a warm and affectionate smile.

Dressed in all-black bartender attire with a gold name tag on his chest, he was, today as well, eye-catchingly handsome and pretty. With a very fair face and long eyelashes, today he had his light wheat-colored dyed hair parted to slightly reveal his forehead.

“I was going to tell you the drink names.”

“Ah, ah. Yes!”

“On the right is a Moscow Mule flowing over golden sands, on the left is a Peach Crush resembling you, like a pink peach.”

A handsome person was spouting gibberish.

What had he just heard? Yuseong’s brain momentarily short-circuited.

The alcoholic beverages here all had names like this. For Lee Yuseong, who had never even had a sip of a cocktail, it was hard to even tell what the actual cocktail name was and what was embellishment. Remembering the full names was even more difficult.

Setting the tray down briefly, Lee Yuseong took out a small memo pad and pen from his chest pocket.

“I’m sorry, just one more time…”

“Give it here.”

Long fingers took the memo pad and pen. The tips of his fingers brushed past briefly. A body temperature similar to moments ago left a chill. It was cold.

‘Does he have cold hands?’

He glanced up at Kim Wooju, who stood inside the bar, which was about one step higher. He personally wrote down the drink names on the memo pad for him.

Lee Yuseong stared blankly at his hand. It was a very fair and pretty hand. Even though it was much larger than Lee Yuseong’s hand, it was far more delicate.

He could be a hand model. Watching the shape of the fine hand moving, it felt as if, despite the noisiness inside the shop, he could hear the sound of writing, scratch scratch.

“Here, here.”

He lifted his gaze at the call.

“Thank you.”

‘He’s really good-looking.’

He had thought he was good-looking from the beginning, but his appearance shone anew every time he saw him. The two moles under his right eye, and his clear brown eyes that were close to a beige color, were deeply mysterious.

“The customers are waiting. Is there something you’re curious about?”

At Kim Wooju’s question, Lee Yuseong, who had been staring at his eyes as if entranced, hurriedly averted his gaze.

“Ah, no.”

“Ah, between table 7 and 8, Jigu applied abrasive to the floor yesterday, so it’s slippery, be careful.”

Feeling as though he had been caught at something, he roughly nodded and quickly escaped. He served the pasta first, then as he set the cocktails down on the table and pulled out his memo pad to recite, he saw that a few more words were written below the drink names.

What kind of Yuseong?

And a heart on top of that.

What woke him from his horrified second of brain short-circuit was the customer at table 10.

“Um, excuse me. You’re the new part-timer, right?”

“Ah, ah. Yes.”

It was a woman with round and cute eyes. She looked to be around Yuseong’s age.

“Wow, but by any chance, aren’t you an omega?”

She asked his trait outright. It was something rarely experienced. Though it was a question that could be seen as rude in some ways, her face was innocently pure without a shred of malice.

Yuseong reluctantly gave a slight nod and folded the memo into his chest pocket.

The companion sitting across from the woman continued chattering. It was a cute-looking man. Anyone could see he was an omega.

“I thought Momento only hired male alphas, but I guess not?”

…Alpha?

“Ah, it was written that they’re hiring males only…”

Then, aside from himself, were the other three all alphas?

“I’m jealous. I’m so envious! Momento is really famous, you know.”

He was hearing this for the first time.

“…It’s famous?”

“Of course!”

“We’re regulars. We come twice a week. The food and drinks are delicious, and above all, all the staff are good-looking!”

All… good-looking.

Lee Yuseong unconsciously shifted his eyes to look at the three people in turn.

The boss, cooking inside the kitchen. Kim Wooju, standing at the bar making drinks. And Choi Jigu, striding across the hall on his long legs, serving.

Even to Lee Yuseong, who had little interest in his own appearance or others’, Kim Wooju was indeed good-looking. But were the boss and Choi Jigu also… good-looking?

The boss was mature yet stylish, and while Choi Jigu’s face wasn’t flashy, his features were well-defined. He could see that much.

“Why did they hire an omega?”

“And his looks are also…”

The intent of the sidelong glances stealing toward him was obvious. Not particularly bothered, he was about to let it go in one ear and out the other when Choi Jigu threw an arm over his shoulder and interrupted.

“Sorry to interrupt your conversation, but we’re incredibly busy right now. Please ask the newbie your questions later.”

“Come on, after we finish eating, you’ll just tell us to leave quickly because there’s a line.”

Their words and attitude were more casual than other customers, as if the claim of being regulars wasn’t a lie.

Lee Yuseong just rolled his eyes to stare at the hand resting on his shoulder. Get it off.

“You know us well. You should have come a bit later.”

“We can’t, we have assignments to do tonight.”

“You can do assignments after drinking? Wow, impressive.”

At Choi Jigu’s banter, the customers clapped their hands and burst out laughing.

“Enjoy your meal. Call us if you need anything.”

With that, Choi Jigu smoothly spun the shoulder he had his arm around. Dazed, Lee Yuseong ended up turning with Choi Jigu and walking out together to the center aisle.

“…”

Yuseong ducked his body and slipped out of Choi Jigu’s arm.

“Wow, so harsh to someone who helped you.”

Choi Jigu laughed, blatantly clenching and unclenching his now-empty hand.

“Helped? With what?”

“Those guys… Hmm. Never mind. You really are the oblivious type, huh.”

He crossed his arms and assessed Lee Yuseong. This was also something he was hearing for the first time.

“Order here.”

“Yes.”

I’ll take it. Saying this, Choi Jigu passed by Lee Yuseong. As he passed, he grasped the same shoulder once more. His body leaned in. Lee Yuseong didn’t even have a chance to react.

A cool scent drew close, and Choi Jigu’s whisper was carried to his ear.

“You don’t know anything, and they’re calling you ugly.”

A warm breath was felt by his ear. Goosebumps rose.

“When you’re so pretty.”

Leaving only a small whisper behind, Choi Jigu passed by Lee Yuseong.

There was no subject. But the person who had been called ugly and the person called pretty must be the same person. Hearing the word ‘pretty,’ which had never been in his cards, all day long made him feel strange.

‘I shouldn’t have shown my face without glasses.’

When his thoughts reached that point, Lee Yuseong realized there was one more strange thing.

Choi Jigu, having seen Lee Yuseong’s face without glasses, had called him pretty.

Yuseong took the memo out of his chest pocket.

[ Pretty Yuseong, fighting♥ ]

Then, why did Kim Wooju, who had never seen his bare face without glasses, call Lee Yuseong pretty?

From the very beginning, the most suspicious one had been Kim Wooju.

Among the four people at the staff dinner, the only one who hadn’t gotten drunk was Kim Wooju. When he opened his eyes in the morning, it was also Kim Wooju who had already showered. The first person to face Lee Yuseong was also Kim Wooju.

Had Kim Wooju seen Lee Yuseong’s face without glasses?

If he had seen it, when did he see it?

It could be divided into two possibilities.

  1. He saw it while Lee Yuseong was asleep.
  2. While doing ‘that sort of thing’ with Lee Yuseong…
