Flower Fiancé Chapter 134 - END.
Speaking again as if to emphasize, Ji Yeonwoo gently closed his eyes and nodded. Choi Moohyuk stared at him for a moment, let out a small sigh, and pulled him into an embrace. The hand stroking the back of his head was full of concern.
“Thank you for understanding. But I really can do this. I mean it.”
“Alright. It’s all fine, so just don’t get sick.”
Chuckling softly, Choi Moohyuk said no more. Ji Yeonwoo, quietly receiving the soothing touch, felt a sudden lump in his throat.
He wrapped his arms around Choi Moohyuk’s waist and pressed his face against his chest. Through his ear, pressed against his chest, the steady rhythm of his heartbeat reached him.
That sound felt like it was comforting him, telling him everything would be okay, and he smiled quietly.
Seven years passed since then.
Though each day was a repetitive routine, time flowed like water.
Ji Yeonwoo walked alongside Choi Moohyuk as he left for work.
“What’s your schedule today? Will you be at the shop?”
“No. I’m taking the kids to the nursing home where the housekeeper is staying in the morning. Tomorrow is her birthday, after all.”
“Ah, already that time?”
“She says she only looks forward to the kids these days. Apparently, even her biological grandchildren are jealous because she raised our kids like her own.”
“That’s understandable.”
The elderly housekeeper’s health had declined sharply three years ago, and she had been hospitalized in a nursing home. Though she had children and grandchildren, they were all too busy to take care of her. Upon learning of the situation, Choi Moohyuk paid her severance and even covered her nursing home fees, ensuring she could rest comfortably.
It was his way of repaying her for watching over Ji Yeonwoo like family and helping raise the two children well.
“I’d like to treat her to a meal if possible, but since she has difficulty moving, the nursing home recommends she not go outside the facility as much as possible.”
“Can’t be helped. I’ll visit her separately tomorrow.”
“Okay.”
The two walked to the entrance, chatting.
<Flower Fiancé>, run by Ji Yeonwoo, had become so well-established that everyone in the area knew it. A chance interview with a broadcaster as a florist became the catalyst, and now he was a celebrity appearing on various programs. Later, when it became known that his husband was Choi Moohyuk, Vice President of Sunwoo Group, the two became widely recognized celebrities.
Stopping in front of the entrance, Choi Moohyuk turned around. Though seven years had passed, Choi Moohyuk’s appearance had barely changed—one wouldn’t even think he had aged. As he passed his mid-thirties, his features had become slightly more defined, making him the very image of a naturally handsome man who had matured gracefully. Just like the saying that a man’s looks peak in his thirties, his handsome features seemed to stand out even more.
Ji Yeonwoo wasn’t much different either. Perhaps because of his superior Omega traits, as the years passed, Ji Yeonwoo only looked younger. It was as if time was flowing backward for him alone.
Still holding hands in front of the entrance as if they were newlyweds, Choi Moohyuk suddenly said, “Ah.”
“How about we eat out tonight? What do you think?”
“That sounds good. Should I wait at the shop with the kids, then?”
“Yeah. That would be best. I’ll come straight to the shop.”
Smiling gently, Choi Moohyuk bent down and pressed a kiss to Ji Yeonwoo’s lips.
“Good luck today.”
“Okay. Oh, hold on.”
In return, Ji Yeonwoo cupped Choi Moohyuk’s face with both hands and kissed his cheek, then called out toward the living room.
“Choi Geon, Choi Rin. Daddy’s going to work. Come say goodbye.”
At Ji Yeonwoo’s words, Choi Geon and Choi Rin, who had been somewhere in the house, came running out at the same time.
“Daddy, have a good day.”
“Daddy, I love you.”
Choi Geon and Choi Rin took turns being hugged by Choi Moohyuk and giving him kisses. Choi Moohyuk lifted the two fairly big children, one on each arm, and received a shower of kisses.
“Choi Geon, Choi Rin, go see Grandma nicely. She’s not well, so don’t climb all over her. Got it?”
“Yes.”
At Choi Moohyuk’s stern instruction, Choi Geon and Choi Rin answered loudly.
“Choi Geon, listen well to your teacher, and Choi Rin, listen well to your kindergarten teacher. Ah, Choi Rin. No pinching your friends again. Got it?”
“Come on, I don’t do that anymore.”
Six-year-old Choi Rin pouted primly. Her hair tied in pigtails looked even more adorable than usual. Choi Moohyuk gazed at his daughter fondly and gave her a kiss.
“I’ll be going now.”
After one more kiss on Ji Yeonwoo’s lips, Choi Moohyuk finally stepped out the front door.
After Choi Moohyuk left for work, everything was up to Ji Yeonwoo.
Being siblings with a two-year age gap, they fought a lot, and once told something, they didn’t always listen—but they were still just precious children.
“Daddy, hurry up. Let’s go see Grandma quickly.”
Choi Geon and Choi Rin, having dressed themselves in the clothes laid out and even packed the gifts they’d bought in advance for Grandma’s birthday, were waiting at the front entrance.
“Okay, just a moment.”
Ji Yeonwoo, having just finished getting ready, stood at the entrance and dimmed all the lights in the living room.
Following behind the two children as they went out, Ji Yeonwoo paused and stopped walking. Slowly turning around, he looked around the living room.
Whenever this door closed, the house always felt lonely. When people were inside, there was at least some noise, but after everyone left, the warmth disappeared, leaving only a quiet stillness behind.
But not anymore.
Even though no one would be home, he knew that the warmth of his family, soaked into every corner, would be there warming the house and waiting.
Smiling as he looked around the living room, Ji Yeonwoo couldn’t resist the children’s urging and followed them out.
Click, beep.
The door closed with the sound of the lock engaging.
Sunlight streaming into the living room illuminated a family photo hanging on the wall.
A photo of Choi Moohyuk and Ji Yeonwoo, with Choi Geon and Choi Rin holding each other tightly and laughing—now it was its turn to wait for the family.
