Flower Fiancé Chapter 52
Ji Yeonwoo, standing in the middle of the living room, looked around and exclaimed in admiration continuously. Perhaps because the interior was unified with modern-design furniture, the house had an overall cool atmosphere. They say a house comes to resemble its owner, and indeed, even without being told, he could tell this was the house where Choi Moohyuk lived.
Choi Moohyuk, who had taken off his jacket and draped it over the sofa, came over and embraced Ji Yeonwoo from behind. Ji Yeonwoo, who had felt a chill in the air perhaps because the house was so spacious, felt the warm body heat pressed against him and grasped the arms wrapped around his collarbone.
“Managing Director, are we really staying home all weekend?”
“That’s what I had in mind. Is there something else you’d like to do?”
Ji Yeonwoo, who had turned around within the arms wrapped around his collarbone, stood facing Choi Moohyuk so closely that their bodies touched.
“It’s nothing special—just tell me everything you said you were curious about last time.”
Because of their height difference, he tilted his head back as far as it would go and met his eyes. Choi Moohyuk wore an enigmatic expression. His look said, “That again?” Afraid he might say something else, Ji Yeonwoo beat him to the punch.
“For some reason, I don’t think I’ll fall asleep easily tonight. I want to hear a lot of stories about the Managing Director.”
Choi Moohyuk laughed as if to say he was incorrigible. He brushed back the hair that had fallen loose and caressed his cheek, then his lips touched Ji Yeonwoo’s lightly and pulled away.
“Mr. Yeonwoo, it seems you want to stay up all night just talking. I want to do something more than that.”
The voice whispering as it gently touched his ear was ticklish. They hadn’t even eaten yet, but his touch and voice already sent a tingling tension coiling low in his stomach.
“You said you liked the look of my hair all down when I came out after washing up. Here’s your chance to see it in real time—you don’t like that?”
Choi Moohyuk, who had been gently rubbing the hair behind his ear, buried his face in the nape of Ji Yeonwoo’s neck. Haa, along with the escaping breath and a faint moan, Ji Yeonwoo pulled the head of the man pressing his lips to his neck into an embrace.
The playful skinship quickly turned intense.
Choi Moohyuk seemed particularly rushed today. He didn’t know the reason, but the same was true for Ji Yeonwoo.
As Ji Yeonwoo unbuttoned the tightly fastened buttons of Choi Moohyuk’s shirt, their kissing lips had barely separated before they were pressing together again with smacking sounds.
Tap, tap-tap. Moving as if one body with irregular footsteps, Ji Yeonwoo was about to fall backwards when the back of his knees hit the sofa. Choi Moohyuk caught him with one arm, slowly laid him down on the sofa, and then covered Ji Yeonwoo from above.
“Ha, h-uhh….”
The hand that slipped under Ji Yeonwoo’s neatly dressed shirt brushed across his flat stomach and rose to his chest. As the hand, without a single rough edge, deliberately lingered elsewhere, stoking his frustration, Ji Yeonwoo could only rub his legs together, half-draped over the armrest of the sofa.
It was just as Choi Moohyuk, observing Ji Yeonwoo’s reactions, was about to take the small bud revealed beneath the shirt now pushed up to his shoulders into his mouth.
Choi Moohyuk’s eyes flew wide open. It was because the noise of a phone vibrating rang out, shattering the mood.
The source of the phone vibration was close. It was Choi Moohyuk’s jacket, draped right over the back of the sofa.
Realizing it was his own phone vibrating, fine lines creased around Choi Moohyuk’s eyes. As if bothered by the noise of the vibration ringing at regular intervals, his eyes, which had been locked on Ji Yeonwoo, flicked toward the jacket containing the phone.
Watching this, Ji Yeonwoo reached his arms out first, wrapping them around his neck and pulling him toward himself. It was a wordless act telling him not to mind it.
Choi Moohyuk yielded readily to that touch. Supporting his weight with his elbow pressing into the sofa, he tilted his face down, stroking the soft, light brown hair and cheek with his other hand. Before he knew it, the phone vibration that had been audible between the sounds of lips biting and sucking had disappeared.
The mood, which had subsided, quickly heated back up.
As the kiss grew more and more intense, the hand that had slipped inside Ji Yeonwoo’s shirt caressed and stimulated his tender skin. Ha, haah. With his breath caught at the top of his throat, Ji Yeonwoo hurriedly turned his lips away, unable to endure the hand tormenting him by touching his chest, and twisted his body.
Choi Moohyuk wrapped his arms around the twisting torso and pressed his lips in a straight line from the tip of the chin downward.
— Bzzz, bzzz.
That was when it happened. As if throwing cold water on the heated atmosphere, the phone rang again.
Choi Moohyuk, who had been pressing his lips to the nape and collarbone, finally let out a low curse, his face still buried in the smooth skin.
“I’m sorry. Let me take this call.”
“It seems like… it’s urgent.”
On Ji Yeonwoo’s face, trying to force a smile at the apology, worry was clearly visible. Choi Moohyuk stared intently at Ji Yeonwoo like that, gave him a brief peck on the lips, and then got up.
He walked around the spacious sofa and took the phone out of the jacket draped over it. The expression on his face as he stood there in his completely unbuttoned shirt, looking at the phone, drained away like spreading ink.
The name written on the screen was ‘Park Jincheol.’ Park Jincheol was the right-hand man whom Choi Moohyuk had previously ordered to find someone trustworthy to place at Ji Yeonwoo’s side.
Choi Moohyuk glanced sidelong at Ji Yeonwoo, then turned his body away and answered the call.
“Yeah. It’s me.”
Choi Moohyuk, who had walked over to the living room’s glass window, swept the curtain open. The lights of the night view poured dazzlingly into the wide living room.
Ji Yeonwoo, who had pulled down his shirt, pushed all the way up to his collarbone, and sat on the sofa, looked at the back of Choi Moohyuk as he stood facing away. Though the distance was too far to hear what the other person was saying, he could tell from Choi Moohyuk’s terse, one-word replies that the situation wasn’t very good.
“Tell me. So. Yeah. What?”
Choi Moohyuk, who had turned his body to the side with one hand on his waist, raised his voice. The sharp voice echoed through the living room. At the same time, Ji Yeonwoo’s heart sank with a thud.
The fact that a call came repeatedly this evening meant it was important business, and a bad feeling crept over him that perhaps Choi Moohyuk might not be able to stay with him.
Choi Moohyuk, who had been on the phone, turned his head again and looked at Ji Yeonwoo. When their eyes met, Ji Yeonwoo widened his slightly, as if asking what was wrong.
“Can’t get that one thing right right now… haa.”
He had been about to say something, but when his eyes met Ji Yeonwoo’s, he hastily shut his mouth and pushed up his sleeve to check the time.
“Tch, fine. Stand by.”
Ji Yeonwoo, who had been focusing intently on the call, let out a low sigh. It was because the result he had feared was now visible before his eyes, even without it being said aloud.
Having finished the call, Choi Moohyuk approached with the phone in one hand. Ji Yeonwoo, who had kept his gaze fixed on Choi Moohyuk the entire time, followed him with his eyes as he came closer. His eyes met Choi Moohyuk’s as he perched on the edge of the sofa table.
“I think I need to go out for a bit.”
Choi Moohyuk said as he neatly fastened the completely undone buttons of his shirt. It was something he had expected to some degree, so there was no other particular feeling. Only….
“Do you really… have to go right now?”
An unidentifiable anxiety kept trying to hold him back. Ji Yeonwoo hesitated, then reached out his hand and carefully wrapped it around his index and middle fingers.
“You haven’t even had dinner yet.”
“That’s true, but it’s an important matter.”
Choi Moohyuk had never had something this urgent before. And hadn’t he even stayed by his side all day today without going to work? Intuitively, he thought it might not be simple company business.
Just how urgent was this matter that he had to go, with such a sorry expression on his face?
“If I’d known this would happen, we should have eaten dinner first.”
“Why is Mr. Ji Yeonwoo saying what I’m supposed to say?”
Choi Moohyuk reached out and touched Ji Yeonwoo’s cheek, smiling bitterly.
“This is my house, and I’m the one who invited Mr. Yeonwoo. When you say things like that, it makes me feel even sorrier.”
“No. That’s not what I meant by it.”
Ji Yeonwoo denied it, waving both hands.
“I know. What you meant. It’s just that’s how it is.”
“….”
“I’m fine, so if you get hungry, take something out of the fridge and eat. The lady stocked it up, so there should be quite a bit to eat.”
“…Okay.”
“Don’t eat too much, though. Because you have to eat with me when I get back.”
Nod, nod. Ji Yeonwoo bobbed his head, his gaze angled slightly downward.
