BJ Villainess Chapter 314
[Hardy carefully laid Frea’s body down, his voice filled with hollow rage.
“There was a time when I felt sorry for you.”
To think he had once pitied Ozworld. In hindsight, it was an irrational sympathy. But still, it was true. He had been a father, a friend, and his only master.
Ozworld had treated Hardy differently from everyone else. His affection for Hardy was so exceptional that everyone in the Signio Empire considered Hardy a potential crown prince. But it had all been a lie. Ozworld had merely observed and experimented on Hardy, who loved everything on this land.
Why did he, Ozworld, not find everything on this land lovable? Why did Hardy love everything? What was wrong with him? In the end, Ozworld found the answer.
This world was fake. He was a villain in a novel, and Hardy was the protagonist. From the beginning, Ozworld has lived without the capacity to feel anything precious due to inherent limitations.
“The god we believe in is nothing more than a storyteller, Hardy. This world is fake.”
Ozworld tried to persuade Hardy, his son, friend, and vassal. He wanted them to escape this world together. It wasn’t because Hardy was precious to him. But merely because his comparison wasn’t complete yet.
Hardy felt sick to his stomach at Ozworld’s inhumanity.
“Even if this world is fiction, to me, this is reality. Because everything I love is here.”
They were like oil and water, never able to mix from the start.
Ozworld looked at Hardy with a foolish expression and asked, “So, you mean to oppose me till the end?”
“It was Your Majesty who taught me well. That I’m the adversary the planet created to oppose you.”
There was no future where they could coexist. That was the conclusion.]
In the end, Hardy died.
[Ozworld stood on the balcony of his bedroom, looking down at the ruined world. A world where no one told him to create something precious, no one asked him to save this place, no one demanded a new home, and no one begged for love.
“It’s quiet.”
It was truly a perfect state.
<Sand Saintess> Part One Completed.]
“What the? It ends like this?”
I turned the page in disbelief, but there was nothing more, just a blank page with a uselessly pretty pattern. The story truly ended there.
“And it says only part one completed. Does that mean there’s a part two?”
However, the only book stocked in the shop was part one.

[I heard the author couldn’t write the part two because she became a BJ before she could finish it~]
“I see.”
But that wasn’t the issue. Everyone had already died, and the world had been destroyed. What was the point of part two?
I didn’t want to stay in a dimension based on such a miserable worldview any longer. I wanted to take Clyde and go home immediately. But after reading about Hardy, who had been betrayed and lost everything just like I had, I couldn’t just leave. There was no one who could understand better than I did what it felt like to be used and then betrayed by a lunatic like Ozworld.
I need to meet Frea first. That decision made me go straight to her mansion.
Frea, as if expecting me, allowed my visit, and I was soon led to a private parlor. We sat across from each other without even exchanging greetings, simply gazing at one another. Since this conversation needed to be as secret as possible, I set up a barrier so no sound could be heard from outside.
Once everything was in place, I spoke first. “I assume the constellations have informed you of the situation.”
“I also heard that you read the novel I wrote.”
“What’s the main quest you’re supposed to complete?”
Frea replied with a darkened expression. “To become the Sand Saintess. Which means becoming the empress.”
But in the novel, Ozworld never took an empress.
Of all the quests, it had to be that one. Frea was doomed to fail from the start.
It might sound cruel to ask, but I had to know. “Is there any chance of success?”
“There’s still room for negotiations. But I’m putting it off because it’s not a good option.”
There was room for negotiation, but it wasn’t a good option… What could Frea possibly offer Ozworld?
At that moment, I remembered the broadcast rules Jupi, the casting director for Manager’s Union, had shown me. A channel manager cannot exploit a BJ’s wish ticket. But what if that Wish Ticket could be given to a character in the world? It might be possible if someone else fulfills the wish on their behalf. I strongly suspected that Frea’s last resort was the Wish Ticket.
Ozworld must have continued to exploit BJ’s Wish Tickets in cunning ways, which likely led to the rule being imposed. That was really frustrating. But that was a problem for another time.
“Is there a way to save Hardy?”
“He doesn’t die. Although he’s depicted as dead in part one, the planet uses its last bit of strength to revive him afterward.” Frea hesitated, biting her lip before finally continuing. “The truth is, this world is based on the empire where I used to live. The Sand Saintess, the dying planet, and the Ananuka family—all of it exists in reality. And I am the real Frea Ananuka.”
“…What? <Sand Saintess> is nonfiction?”
Frea nodded. “The only new creation in this world is Hardy. Everything else was written based on what already existed.”
“Even Ozworld…?”
“He’s a real person.”
This world was indeed the one Frea had written in her novel, but it was also a parallel world in a sense.
Frea explained that in the original world, she had been a weak figure with little influence in the imperial palace due to her lack of divine power. Among the saintess candidates, Gufel was the clear favorite, and the two were friends in reality as well. The tragedy begins when Frea falls in love with Ozworld.
“He probably doesn’t even know that I exist as a saintess. I was so devastated that I dreamed up my own world and wrote a novel… How foolish, right?”
Not at all. I, too, had created a game where the protagonist was a beloved woman because I was starved for affection. It’s common for creation to spring from inner emptiness. So I understood her.
“Don’t blame yourself.”
I knew exactly what kind of guilt Frea was feeling. Why did I create this world and put them in danger? Why did I subject them to these trials? Her mind must have been filled with thoughts of blaming herself. I knew because I had felt the same way.
“This was an accident. We’re not gods. We just know a bit more about this world than others do.”
Frea seemed to sense my sincerity, and she began to cry. “Take Clyde and leave this world as soon as possible.” Her words hinted that the end of this world was near.
I didn’t rashly promise to help. Instead, I nodded to ease Frea’s guilt.
“No need to see me out.”
As I stepped out of the parlor alone,
“You’re quite adaptable.”
The voice was unmistakable, and as soon as it hit my ears, every hair on my body stood on end.
“You almost died by my hand, yet you seem to be adapting well.”
Since my body froze, I looked sideways. Ozworld, with a far more emotionless expression than I remembered, stood leaning against the wall, draped in a dark red cloak. I hadn’t expected to meet him again so soon, and my heart pounded furiously as my breath caught in my throat.
Ozworld closed the distance between us in just a few steps and gripped the back of my neck. His touch was gentle, but it felt more like a threat than a caress. His thumb brushed over my vulnerable throat and then pressed firmly against my pulse.
“I heard you’re from the same dimension as Clyde.”
A strange sensation spread from where his hand touched. A feeling that slowly seeped from the surface of my skin inward. I quickly realized what it was. He’s channeling divine power into me.
Divine power could be used in countless ways, depending on the user’s abilities. For example, to read memories.
Smack! As soon as I realized this, I instinctively slapped his hand away, even knowing it might endanger my life.

[You’re the first woman who’s ever done that to Ozworld -_-^]
Ozworld seemed surprised that someone had dared to defy him as if he hadn’t expected me to push him away.
“I apologize.”
I quickly bowed my head, but Ozworld forced my chin up, locking eyes with me. His eyes were still as beautiful as the night sky, but they didn’t shine as they once did. The realization made my heart ache.
Then, out of nowhere, Ozworld brushed his hand over the corner of my eye. I frowned at the inexplicable gesture, and he spoke.
“I apologize for my previous actions.”
“…Huh?”
An apology? Did I hear that right?
Ozworld continued with words that seemed impossible that were coming from him. “I ask for your understanding regarding my decision to immediately dispose of the intruder who broke into the imperial palace. I will not do so again.”
“Why?”
At my wary question, Ozworld gazed out of a large window in the corridor. His distant look suggested he was thinking about something far beyond the mansion’s garden.
I had a feeling I knew what was on his mind. Was it the desert, which was gradually turning green? My suspicion was confirmed by his next words.
“You’ve become an important guest of mine.”
“Because I make plants grow?”
“More precisely because of the new power you’re planting. That power is more gentle and nurturing than divine power. It’s the right kind of power for those who wish to settle on this land.”
Hadn’t expected those kinds of words coming from Ozworld, I felt dizzy. This man wasn’t one to speak so mildly. So I asked him directly. “Are you doing this for your people?”
Ozworld curled one corner of his mouth into a smirk as if the idea was absurd. Then, sensing something, he sighed in boredom. “I must go now.”
It seemed he wasn’t supposed to be here.
Come to think of it, today wasn’t his supposed day to return. Did he come back early on purpose? And why did he come here? As I pondered this, Ozworld spoke one last time before leaving.
“Then, I’ll see you tomorrow.” And with that, he disappeared.
It was clear that I had been his only purpose for coming here, as he hadn’t even met Frea.
