BJ Villainess Chapter 318
We were about to arrive at the capital soon. Clyde pulled away, trying to calm himself, his chest heaving like a wild beast as he tried to suppress his excitement. I too was catching my breath, forehead resting against his. My fingertips tingled.
The forced halt to our kiss only deepened the longing. It wasn’t just me feeling desperate—Clyde, too, seemed to be barely holding on as he rubbed his forehead against mine and then planted a kiss on my cheek. His lips, which tickled my skin, showed no signs of stopping as if he wanted to reignite the flames.
I quickly stopped him. “We have to get off now, so stop.”
Clyde made a sound full of dissatisfaction as he scratched his throat. “This is driving me crazy. How am I supposed to stop now?” He hugged me tightly, rubbing his cheek against my neck, looking both pitiful and cute as he struggled to contain his desire.
Without thinking, I patted his head and gave him a quick peck on the lips, a soft smooch sound escaping. It seemed I had a weakness for anything cute.
Clyde immediately glared at me with fierce eyes. “Are you doing this on purpose?”
“What?”
“Are you trying to get me arrested for treason?”
“What are you talking about? Now move, I need to fix my clothes.” I scolded him as I pushed him away, and he finally let out a sigh and put me down.

[Who are you to keep showing off?]
Using magic, I neatly straightened out the wrinkled clothes.
By then, the airship had arrived at the landing platform, and the door opened. Waiting outside were the chamberlain and some high-ranking palace officials, all standing respectfully. The chamberlain bowed and said to me, “I will personally escort you to the audience chamber. Shall we go?”
Just before I followed the chamberlain, Clyde called out to me. “Wife.”
I turned around, puzzled, and he stepped forward and kissed me on the lips.
“Come home early.” Clyde grinned, clearly doing this on purpose.
Before I could scold him with my flushed face, a group of men approaching us beat me to it.
“Fwit! Our youngest is something else!”
“What’s this? He really had a hidden wife? And she’s a beauty too?”
“Hey, youngest! Looking good!”
They were all wearing the same uniform as Clyde. They must have been the 13 knights. Clyde frowned deeply, clearly irritated, as he glared at the knights.
“Wow, look at those eyes. Someone’s going to die today.”
“Don’t they say people calm down after getting married?”
“Our youngest’s temper isn’t normal, though. Raise your hand if you haven’t had your teeth knocked out by him~?”
“No one, right?”
The knights, full of mischief, waved at me with amused expressions.
“Hello, Madam! Let’s properly greet each other next time!”
“Come visit the knights’ quarters!”
Already feeling drained by their boundless energy, I let out a half-hearted laugh.
“Mind your own business,” Clyde warned them sternly, then let me go. “Be careful. If anything happens, come find me.” He seemed worried, knowing what Ozworld might be planning next.
I reassured him with a smile, patting him gently. “See you at home.”
Clyde smiled, clearly pleased with my words. The knights, seeing this, whistled and caused such a commotion that more people started gathering around. The chamberlain, seeming all too familiar with the knights’ rowdy nature, looked like he wanted to sigh.
Fearing we might get punished for disrupting the imperial dignity, I quickly sent Clyde off to the knights and followed the chamberlain to the audience chamber. As I walked down the red carpeted hallway, looking out the arched windows, the sunlight seemed unusually clear today.
Was the air on this planet always this good?

[Why are you grinning like that? Does the world look beautiful because you’re dating? -_-^]
I tried to suppress my smile and thought to myself. I haven’t even been formally confessed to, and we haven’t talked about dating, so what do you mean dating? Besides, the reason I was in a good mood was because I slept well. It definitely wasn’t because of Clyde.
Lost in thought, I soon found myself in front of the audience chamber. After the chamberlain announced my arrival, the doors opened. As soon as I entered, I bowed toward Ozworld, who was sitting on the throne, staring at me.
“Theresa, the foreigner, greets Your Majesty the Emperor.”
Ozworld’s gaze shifted to the hand holding my skirt. “You’ve got a ring now.”
At those words, I naturally glanced at the wedding ring on my left hand before lowering it again. “Yes. Although my husband has lost his memory, he did not deny our marriage and even prepared this ring for me.”
“Is that so? But I recall paying the knights generously, yet the ring seems rather plain.” Ozworld, for some reason, kept picking fights, clearly dissatisfied.
I gave him a perfect answer that left no room for more complaints. “This is an exact replica of our original wedding ring. It holds memories more precious to me than any jewel, so it’s very meaningful.”
“Memories, you say.” He smirked faintly but didn’t press the issue further.

[This is strange… Am I the only one who thinks Ozworld seems jealous?]

[Jealous? He’s clearly mocking her because he knows the marriage is fakeㅋㅋ.]
Although Ozworld’s interest felt oddly unsettling, if it was just him being displeased with a lie, that was a relief. However, the uneasy feeling didn’t go away, so I asked him,
“What would you have me do for you, Your Majesty?”
I wanted to get this over with quickly so I could explore the desert with Clyde and fill the planet with magical plants. The more mana and magical creatures the planet had, the more advantageous it would be for me. I still don’t have enough absolute mana on this planet to perform the level of magic I want.
I deliberately refrained from using divine power as much as possible. Though it was just a hunch, I felt the planet reacted more favorably to me when I didn’t use divine power.
Ozworld, with a somewhat disinterested attitude, said, “Guard me. That’s what you’ll do.”
The question, ‘Why me, when you have 13 knights, the strongest in the empire?’ popped into my head, but I simply bowed. “Understood.”
“Then follow me.”
Ozworld led me around as he attended to his official duties. It seemed to be an unusual occurrence because everyone we encountered looked at me with wide eyes, sneaking glances at me, making me feel uncomfortable. Ozworld, however, seemed completely nonchalant. He had tea with me and even shared meals. Now, he was focused on paperwork, telling me to read a book or something while he immersed himself in his work.
What is he trying to do?
Somehow, Ozworld noticed my sideways glance and asked without looking up from his papers, “Are you bored?”
“…No.”
“You took a while to answer for someone who isn’t.” Ozworld gave his characteristic slow smile, put down his pen, and looked up. “We’ve been sitting for a while. Let’s go for a walk.”
Going outside to a more open space sounded better to me than being cooped up in the office with just the two of us. Expecting a grand garden befitting the splendor of the palace, I was surprised to find a rather unimpressive landscape when I stepped out onto the path.
Why is the imperial palace garden so barren?
Ding!

[I thought you’d be curious, so I’m letting you know: since Gufel left the saintess position, the environment inside the walls has been deteriorating.]
So that’s what it was.
Ozworld noticed my surprise at the surroundings and spoke up, “Your specialty was turning deserts into green landscapes, wasn’t it?”
“Yes, that’s correct.”
“Then try changing this place as well.”
“You mean right now?”
“Yes. If you can change it to suit my tastes, I’ll reward you.”
It wasn’t a difficult task for me, so I had no reason to refuse. In fact, with the experience I’d gained from turning deserts into forests, I was confident I could do a good job. And something about the way he spoke, as if daring me to do it, stirred a strange sense of competitiveness in me.
“I’ll give it a try.”
